Buckbeak was to be executed. Cassandra couldn't believe it. She hated Draco even more for getting an innocent animal executed. Him and his friends, Crabbe and Goyle were standing in the hallway chatting when Cassandra walked up to him.

"Draco Malfoy!" Cassandra shouted, angrily. "You are a prick."

"Why this time honey?" Draco asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"First of all, don't call me honey." Cassandra snapped. "Second of all, I hate you. I hate you for killing an innocent animal."

"What are you talking about?"

"Buckbeak."

"The hippogriff was to blame."

"No he wasn't!" Cassandra yelled. "You overreacted and then got your dad involved. And you would've loved it if Hagrid got even more in trouble than he already is in. All you ever do is care about yourself."

"Where is all of this coming from?"

"Buckbeak is being executed today and it's all your fault." Cassandra answered. "I'm done now. I just wanted to let you know how much of a prick you are and I hope you're happy."

Cassandra walked away from him.

Harry, Ron and Cassandra followed Hermione through the courtyard. Hermione was on a mission, but a mission the others didn't know about. Hermione walked fast and it was hard for the others to keep up. She was walking like she knew where she had to be.

"Can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak. It's just too horrible." Hermione said.

"Just got worse." Ron said, pointing out Draco and his goons lurking behind a stone.

"Ah, come to see the show?" Draco asked, noticing that they were walking over to him.

"You!" Hermione exclaimed. "You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach."

Hermione drew out her wand. She held it up to Draco's throat.

"Hermione, no!" Ron urged. "He's not worth it."

Hermione lowered her wand. She turned around like she was going to walk away but instead punched Draco in the face. He ran off with his goons, most likely to go cry.

"That felt good." Hermione smiled.

"Hermione, I hope you know, I will adore you forever for doing that." Cassandra said.

"Thanks." Hermione happily said.

They stood in silence for a moment before going to see Hagrid.

"Ow, Scabbers bit me and he's running away." Ron said before going to chase Scabbers.

They narrowly dodged being seen by Fudge and now Scabbers was running away. What fun!

Harry, Hermione and Cassandra ran off after Ron but he was very far ahead.

"Wait!" Harry yelled.

They were by the whomping willow before Ron finally caught Scabbers.

"Scabbers!" Ron exclaimed, holding the rat in his hand.

"Harry, you do realize what tree this is right?" Cassandra asked.

"That's not good." Harry said. "Ron. Run!"

"Harry, Hermione, Cassandra, run!" Ron yelled, a look of terror running across his face. He pointed behind them.

A black dog was standing behind them, growling.

"It's the Grim!" Cassandra exclaimed.

The dog ran in between Harry and Hermione, almost knocking them over. The dog grabbed Ron by the leg, dragging him into a hole in the tree. Cassandra ran at her fastest speed. Her heart pounded in her chest out of fear. 

The tree started attacking them. Harry was scooped up on a branch and the tree was trying to throw him around but he held on tightly. Cassandra got out her wand but was unaware of what to do.

Hermione came up with a brilliant plan that led them into the hole that Ron disappeared into. They walked down the tunnel. They weren't sure what they would find. They ended up in the Shrieking Shack. Cassandra wondered how far they traveled to get there.

"Ron? Ron? Are you okay?" Harry asked, stepping towards Ron.

"Harry, Cassandra, it's a trap." Ron said. "He's a dog. He's an Animagus."

The three turned around to reveal Sirius Black standing there. He looked Cassandra dead in the eye. Hermione stepped in front of Cassandra and Harry.

"If you want to kill them, you'll have to kill us too." Hermione said bravely.

"No, only one will die tonight." Sirius spoke.

"Then it will be you." Harry said, lurching forward. He grabbed Sirius by the neck.

Cassandra's heart raced in her chest. She didn't know what to do. Suddenly, she saw black. A boy was standing in front of her. He looked tired and worn out.

"Tell him I'm alive." The boy said.

Suddenly, Cassandra was back in the Shrieking Shack. She didn't notice that Harry was now on top of SIrius. Harry held his wand to Sirius's throat.

"Are you going to kill me Harry?" Sirius asked. He looked amused.

Remus burst through the doors and said, "Expelliarmus."

Harry's wand flew out of his hand. Remus signaled Harry to move off of Sirius, so he did.

"Well, well, Sirius. Looking rather ragged, aren't we?" Remus asked. "Finally the flesh reflects the madness within."

"Well you'd know all about the madness within, wouldn't you Remus?" Sirius replied.

"Come here, old friend." Remus hugged Sirius.

Sirius whispered things to Remus and Cassandra caught one word, "kill". 

"No!" Hermione shouted. "I trusted you! And all this time, you've been his friend. I know what you are. He's a werewolf, that's why he's been missing classes."

"How long have you known?" Remus asked, acting calm.

"Since Professor Snape sent the article." Hermione replied.

"Well Hermione, you truly are bright." Remus said, his eyes moving to Cassandra.

Professor Snape burst in through the doors.

"Expelliarmus!" Cassandra muttered. She sent him flying back and he passed out.

"Cassandra, you can't just do that!" Hermione exclaimed. "He's a teacher!"

"He's my dad, he'll be fine." Cassandra shrugged it off. Hermione and Harry exchanged surprised looks. Ron wasn't shocked.

"Oh, Cas, you've been living with Severus?" Sirius asked.

"You betrayed my parents!" Harry shouted at Sirius.

"No he didn't." Cassandra said, still not facing Harry.

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked. "He did!"

"No he didn't." Cassandra said. "Peter Pettigrew did. Didn't he? He's alive. Scabbers is missing a toe. That's the finger Pettigrew cut off. He's an Animagus, just like your dad was Harry. They used their Animagus forms to help Remus during full moons."

Ron looked shocked. Harry was still pointing his wand at Sirius and Hermione was staring at Cassandra.

"Ron, please give me Scabbers." Cassandra politely said.

Ron reluctantly handed Scabbers to Cassandra. She muttered a spell at him and he transformed into Peter Pettigrew.

Cassandra didn't remember much of what happened before she blacked out. All she could remember was trying to save Sirius from the dementors with Harry by her side.
