"This better be worth it, Creed. I pulled a few favors gettin' you here." Leslie rolls her eyes at his words, standing up from the chair as the flight attendant opens the door for her. "Well, if it makes you feel better, I appreciate it. And, just so we're clear, he has no idea I'm here, right, Hobbs?" The man shoots her an offended look, "the fact that you think I would snitch on you to your little boyfriend hurts. I'm offended, Creed."

Leslie chuckles, shaking her head in amusement. "Yeah well, thank you for this. I know it was last minute."

"Hey, I don't like you, but I have respect you. You ever need any favors, I'm your person. Good luck." Hobbs says, shooting her a grin as she pulls open her car door. "Tell Hattie, I say hi." Leslie enters the car and drives off quickly, going to a place she had long left in her past. Loud music echoed the place, she smiled, it already felt like home. All the memories of her and Joseph here flashed through her mind. For once, she actually felt relaxed, and at peace.

Leslie parked her car, it was a red Chevrolet Corvette C6. She climbed out, looking around for any familiar faces. "Leslie? Is that you?!" She turned around, spotting an old friend of hers. It was Juanito, he was Jamie's best friend. "Jaun! Yeah, it's me." She grinned, pulling him into a hug. "What are you doing here? How long has it been? 10 years?" He grinned, pressing a kiss to her cheek before pulling away.

"Yeah, it's been a long time. I'm actually here on business, you could say." She said, leaning against her car. "Oh, that's what's up. Is Leo with you? We haven't seen him around in a while." Leslie shook her head quickly, "Nah, I don't really race with my dad that much. You know how it is, busy schedules and shit." Jaun nodded at this, he knew the Creed family had some chaotic as schedules. "Yeah, I get it. You know, we were all upset that you didn't show up to Jamie's funeral, man. We did a race dedicated to him, wish you got to be apart of it."

Leslie looked down sadly, being here brought back all the memories she shared with Jamie. "I know, I'm really sorry. It was just a lot for me. I never took loss that well, that's why I had to get out of here. Too many memories." Jaun nodded in understanding, giving her a sad smile. "Sorry to hear about Joseph, though. I know we had our troubles but he was a good guy." Jaun says. Leslie gives a confused look, furrowing her brows at him. "What do you mean by troubles?"

Jaun raised a brow in disbelief, "he didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what, Jaun?"

"A few weeks before Jamie died, we had gotten into it with Joseph cause word got out about him being a cop or agent, something like that. Jamie didn't like how he had been locking up some of our guys so he confronted him. Joseph said he'd back off but when he didn't, Jamie got pissed off, so he threatened to go and tell you. Next thing I know, Jamie passed, and I won't lie to you, Leslie, but me and the guys think Joseph had something to do with it." Jaun explains, but Leslie didn't look to be surprised by any of this information.

"You know something, don't you? That's why you're here, huh?" Jaun queried, giving her a knowing look.

Leslie sighed, glancing back up at him. "Trust me when I say I was just as shocked when I heard this. Joseph never died, he faked it to protect his cover. I only found out three days ago that he was alive. His real name is Jakob Toretto. I also think he had something to do with Jamie's death." Jaun furrowed his brows, trying to take in this information. "And you didn't know? You married him, Leslie," he points out.

She sighs, hating to be reminded of her marriage being a lie. "I know, Jaun. Believe me, I don't know how I missed it either. But the important thing is, myself and my team are gonna take him down, and make him pay, for what he did to me, and for what he did to Jamie. I promise you." Jaun nodded in appreciation before he dug into his pocket, pulling out a set of keys. "By the way, Jamie left these for you. We don't know what it goes to but I figured you might."

Leslie took them, examining them, she knew what they went to. "Yeah, I do. Thanks, Jaun."

"I gotchu, Les. You know that." He said before they were interrupted by one of his guys approaching them. "Yo, boss, someone says they want Leslie Creed at the start line. It's time for a race." Jaun looked to Leslie with a grin. "You still race, right?" He asks jokingly. Leslie rolled her eyes playfully, flipping him off, "fuck off, you know I stopped." She climbed into her car and drove to the starting line, waiting for the other person to arrive.

The car pulled up and she glanced over to see who was behind the wheel, and to her surprise, it was the one and only, Deckard Shaw. "Motherfucker."

"Go!"

Leslie stepped on the gas, passing him up quickly but he was able to catch up to her with ease. She turned the corner, careful of the civilians. They both swerve out of the way from a truck, hearing the police sirens, which meant someone called the cops. But they didn't care. Deckard takes a sharp U-turn, drifting around a large truck to ditch the cops. Leslie was quick to do the same, a small look of disbelief as they drove the opposite way of the police. She was quick to catch up to him as they got closer to the finish line.

Leslie smirks seeing him press onto his nos. "Too early, mí amor."

She pressed onto her nos and sped right past him, going pass the finish line, she drifted around to avoid hitting anyone. Leslie climbed out as Deckard parked a little ways off. "Yo, Jaun! I'mma catch up with you later, alright? I got something to take care of!" Jaun gives her a thumbs up, "I got you!"

Leslie made a hand gesture to Deckard, signaling for him to follow her. They drove for a few minutes until they finally arrived at an abandoned warehouse. She climbed out, holding Jamie's keys tightly in her hand. "Hobbs told you I was here, didn't he?" She asked, watching him climb out of the car he drove, a gray Nissan GT-R. "Someone had to. You weren't answering your phone." He answers.

Leslie rolls her eyes, twirling the keys in her hand. "Have you considered the idea that maybe I didn't want to be found? If I wanted you around I would've told you. And besides, you were busy on a job with your brother, who am I to interrupt that?" She voiced, walking over to the abandoned warehouse and beginning to unlock it. "You're my girlfriend, Leslie, you should know you come first." He stated, setting a hand on her lower back.

"Except, I shouldn't." She mumbled, pushing the doors open roughly and stepping in, making his hand fall from her back.

"Is this about what I said? Cause, I'm not gonna apologize for loving you, Leslie," he said following her into the place. "I don't want you to apologize for loving me. I don't know what I want, okay?" She sighs, running a hand down her face. "Can you help me find the light switch?" She requests. Deckard nods, turning on his phone light to look around, the place was certainly old and clearly no one had been here in years. But the inside was much nicer than the outside.

"What's this place supposed to be anyways?" He asked, glancing down at all the tools and equipment everywhere.

"Uh, a garage, you could say? I used to come here after school, me, Jamie, and sometimes Keira when she visited on summers, stayed here for hours, just doing random stuff. We even used to throw parties here, of course my dad got them shut down. Ah, found it." Leslie pulled down the lever, all the lights turned on.

"I presume you know why I'm here?" Leslie turned to look at him with a pointed look. She knew Hobbs told him everything, all the stuff she told him about her husband. "That you're still married to your not dead husband? Yeah, I know." He said, walking back over to her. "Let me guess, you're here to convince me to not go back to him?" She questioned, walking over to a pillar that held a red button and a passcode. "What makes you think that? You think I'm actually threatened by him?"

Leslie smirked, entering the code and hitting the red button and walking back over to Deckard. "I mean, it crossed my mind." She shrugs, taking his arm to back him up as the metal floor slides open. "Ya know, I think it's more the urge to kill him than feel threatened by him," he retorts. They watched as a steel platform rose up, a black and orange Pagani Huayra Imola placed on it. Leslie grinned at the sight, "this car here, is quite literally my child. Me and Jamie built it together all from scratch. It took years."

Deckard was stunned at the sight of the car, it was nothing like he had seen before. "I'm surprised Jamie kept it after I left. It's probably worth millions." Leslie adds, walking over to a table and picking up a remote. "I'm surprised no one found it," Deckard mumbled. She clicks a button on the remote and a large machine lowers down to clean the car. "Me too. But technically this is still private property. My dad owns this land. I'm surprised he didn't sell it or build anything on it."

"Maybe he hoped you'd come back?" Deckard guessed.

"Yeah, I guess." Leslie glanced around, memories beginning to flood. All the times she and Jamie stayed up all night working on improving the car. The way he would look at her when she rambled about something. When she came here after getting into a fight with her mother and Jamie would comfort her. The times he would try to bring a girl here and she would chase him around with a wrench. "Jamie was...he was my best friend. I always said it was Keira, but even then, she never compared to him. I don't know how I missed it, Deck." She spoke with teary eyes.

"Missed what, love?" Deckard takes her hands gently.

"There were so many signs, so many. He was in love with me, and I ignored it, cause I thought it was a stupid crush that would blow over. I led him on for years and I didn't even notice. He tried to tell me before I got married to Joseph. But I called him jealous, and stupid for spending his life chasing after a crush. I ruined his life, Deck. Because that's what I do. I ruin lives. I did it to Keira. I did it to Jamie. I got him killed. He died with a broken heart that I could've prevented had I actually listened." She rambled, tears falling from her face.

Deckard pulled her into his chest, rubbing her back as she sobbed. "Don't do that yourself. You couldn't have prevented these things from happening. You can't possibly ruin lives if you're the reason mine is so amazing." Leslie looked up at him, she sets her hands on his face. "Please, don't leave me. Promise you will never leave me. Promise me? Please. I can't keep doing this. I can't keep losing people. I can't do it anymore. I don't have it in me."

"I promise. I'll never leave you, Les. I love you, okay? I could never leave you." He promised.

"I love you too. I chose you, okay? I chose you, always." She says, pressing her lips to his, his hands sliding around her waist to pull her closer, deepening the kiss.

Leslie pulls away slowly, holding her hand over his jaw. "I'm gonna get a divorce, and I'm gonna marry you. I want you to be my husband, Deckard. Nobody has ever gotten me the way you do. You take care of me. You know everything about me. Will you marry me?" Deckard smiled down at her, pressing a peck to her lips. "I was hoping to ask you first but I guess you beat me to it." She chuckles softly, "so is that a yes? You'll be my husband?"

"I'll be your husband." He accepted. She grinned, immediately kissing him again, teeth clashing as they couldn't fight the smile on their faces.

She pulls away, her expression growing more serious if any. "If we're going to be married, you need to understand this. When I get attached, I lose someone. I have enemies all over the world, and I can't protect you from that. If you take my name, you will gain my family's enemies, you will have a target on your back. I can't offer protection from that." Deckard took her smaller hands into his, not taking his eyes off her stunning gaze. "It's a good thing, I don't need it."

Leslie nodded, laying her head on his chest with a sigh, she knew he was gonna wanna accompany her back to the base, and she couldn't have that. She had to face Jakob on her own. "I need you to not follow me back, okay? I need to do this alone. I have to face him. You need to go back to your brother. You cannot follow me back. Promise me, Deck. Promise that you will not follow me, okay? If you love me, you will let me do this alone."

Deckard let's out a sigh, he did not want to leave her, but he respected her and didn't want to give her any reason to not trust him. "I promise, but the minute something goes wrong you have to call me, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you before I get to make you my wife."

"I will call you, I promise."

"Good. Now, you wanna take this thing for a drive?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way."
