"Who are you? Who are you? Who are you?" Eli panicked when he woke up, eyes widened as he was in a place he hadn't know, a man leaning over him and examining the gash on his cheek.
"Eli, hello. Calm down for me, i'm Doctor D-" the man began before he was cut off.
"Scott! Scott!" he called, remember he'd been the last person he was with.
"Eli!" Scott called, his voice weaker.
"He's awake!" Deaton spoke as Scott hurried into the back room, eyes falling onto the boy laid across the metal table.
"Where am I?" Eli asked with a panicked face.
"You're okay. This is my boss, and my friend, he's good at this stuff." Scott put a hand on his shoulder as he looked at the man, "You've got a cut on your face, he's just gotta switch your bandages."
"My mom-" Eli began.
"She's at the hospital with my dad and the sheriff, she's okay." Scott reassured him, hand still on his shoulder while Deaton took the small bandage off Eli's face.
"And Liam?" Eli gave a worried look, "Did you find him?"
"No, but the woman over the Beserkers, those things on the road that killed Garrett, she's got Violet and Violet knows where Liam is." Scott spoke quickly, his eyes flickered toward Eli's wound, "I have to do this on my own. The Beserkers, Kate, they're strong. They're gonna hurt you."
Eli frowned as he looked down, "He's my best friend."
"I know." Scott thought of what he'd do if this was Stiles, "I'm gonna find him. But I have to keep you safe too."
Eli look up at him with a sigh, pulling his fingers, "Okay."
Once again, he was a ridiculously good liar.
Deaton let Eli go, getting a thank you from the boy as he walked from the clinic with a pack of bandages. Eli, suppose to be going home, took off into the woods. He ignored the terrible headace be was taking with him, leaving to the place Mason had said Liam disappear to.
The light from his phone shined as he walked, shivering from the cold. Eli thought about how he could turn back, walk away and go get warm somewhere. Scott was a Alpha Werewolf, he knew what he was doing and was probably a lot better at it then Eli was. Yet, he continued on, looking around in search of Liam, hoping to find anything that lead him back to him.
A echo went though the air, possibly a passing car. Eli froze, letting it bounce off his eardrums as the all too different noise filled up his brain. If It was a yell, a howl, definitely not a passing car. Eli took his chances on sprinting the way he came, following the noise and hoping it had been Liam and not some other creature ready to devour him any minute now.
Eli hunched over, taking deep and ragged breaths. Spending so much time on the bench had him beyond out of shape, nearly dying after running for not even an entire five minutes. A rustle came from behind him, like someone had been running. Panic set in as Eli took off in a sprint once again, looking over his shoulder as he ran.
Not paying attention to what was before him, Eli ran straight into the side of the well, tumbling over it. A yell left his lips, going face first down before he felt a grip on his leg. Eli screamed as he looked down at the water below him, "Woah! Who's there! Who's there! Who's got me!"
"Eli!" Liam yelled, "Stop moving, i'm gonna drop you!"
"Liam!" Eli announced, trying to look upwards at him but from the way he was hanging upside down, it was impossible, "I'm so glad you're alive!"
"What are you doing here!" Liam called down at him, one hand gripping the side of the well, "I can't hold on!"
Eli realized that if they fell, he'd go face first and most likely face plant the bottom of the well. If it didn't kill him, it would surely give him an intense head injury, "Not to pressure you, Liam. But please don't let go."
"I'm trying." Lima reassured him, grunting as he gripped the sides, "I-"
His palm slipped, both of the pair yelling out before, like Liam had Eli, a hand gripped his wrist. Eli took deep breaths as Liam was pulled up, Eli coming with him by default. Scott pulled both of the two from the well, leaning them on the side. Eli regained balance, red in the face from being upside down and from the cold. Scott gave him a crazy look, "I should have known. You agreed too fast."
Eli frowned, "I hope you're not mad."
Scott wanted to be, but he knew that if the roles were reversed, and Derek had told Stiles to stay out of it when Scott went missing, he never would have, "I'm not. You were protecting your friend. What were you running from?"
"I didn't know it was you." Eli shook his head, Scott's hand on his shoulder tightened, "And then I just flew over the well, and Liam grabbed me."
Eli put a arm around Liam now, after the shock wore off and he realized his best friend was right here. Scott leaned done on the Dunbar boys level, "You're okay, Liam."
He then pulled the three into a hug, hoping to warm them both up.
"Eli, are you sure you're ready for this?" Kira asked him honestly as she took notice of his terrible, absolutely horrible, panic setting in by the way he was biting his nails, his pinkie bleeding from it.
"Hum? Oh, yeah. I am moving! I am ready!" he announced loudly and full of adrenaline.
Stiles gave a wild look toward Scott, "Four energy drinks."
"My study group has been planning and preparing for almost a year now. Every Wednesday, i'm so ready! So ready!" Eli nodded before he went back to chewing on his nails, "I mean, how else will I get a amazing score so I can get it into Lund University and get a degree in Biomedicine? I could always just fail, yeah, fail and be stuck in a small apartment that doesn't allow me to bring in a cat."
"My god." Malia gapped, grabbing his shoulder and shaking him, "Pull yourself together."
"Four energy drinks? Four?" Stiles asked in disbelief as he held up four of his fingers.
"Lund? You want to go to Sweden?" Kira asked, earning Eli's attention.
"That's were I was born but we moved here in middle school. My mom wants to go back but is letting me finish school here first." Eli said as he looked down the line of students, "Is Lydia coming?"
"She took it her freshman year." Stiles shook his head.
Malia looked in disbelief, "Does that mean I could have taken it some other time?"
"Malia, you studied harder for this than any of us." Scott spoke up her way in hopes of easing her nerves.
Eli nudged her arm, "You could have came to my study group. Every Wednesday."
"Doesn't mean i'm gonna do good." Malia shook her head quickly.
"Well." Stiles spoke up, getting questionable looks.
"Well, what?" she gave him a look of disbelief.
"It's do well, not good." Stiles corrected her.
Eli huffed in his direction, "You're gonna do better then well, you're gonna do phenomenal, remarkable, extraordinary-"
"They all mean the same thing." Stiles cut him off.
"..And then my moms gonna cook you a deer." Eli threw his hands up with a grin her way, "Good plan?"
Malia exhaled, "Good plan, except i'm gonna do terrible."
"You're doing this because while we're trying not to die, we still need to live." Scott whispered to her as the group huddled slightly, speaking of the third part of the DeadPool being cracked, Malias and Liam's name being on it, "If I survive high school, i'd like to go to college. A good college."
"Malia will go to a good college too." Eli rubbed her shoulders.
"It's only three hours. We can survive three hours." Kira smiled in hopes of easing everyone. Stiles gave her an insane look.
"Oh my god, three hours." Eli panicked, hands coming up to his mouth again.
