The next day came quicker than Primrose had anticipated and she felt like she'd be hit by a truck. If only she was able to get more sleep. She was currently standing in line with her brother and their new allies to get their breakfast before making their way to one of the only vacant tables left in the commons. As soon as they sat down, Primrose began to eat her food, earning another annoyed look from her brother for a reason that the former couldn't explain. It wasn't long after that when Rocket began explaining the plan to the four people sitting at the table with him.
"If we're gonna get outta here, we're gonna need to get into that watchtower. And to do that, I'm gonna need a few things," the raccoon told them before nonchalantly gesturing toward one of the guards stationed on the level above them, "the guards wear security bands to control their ins and outs. I need one."
"Leave it to me," Gamora stated without an ounce of hesitation, causing Primrose to glance over at her for a moment before turning her attention back to the group.
"I can help her," the Quill woman offered, earning startled looks from everyone at the table.
"No, no. I'm gonna need that brain of yours to help me inside the watchtower," the raccoon told her before inconspicuously pointing toward an inmate across the room, "that dude, there. I need his prosthetic leg."
"His leg?" Peter repeated with a hint of uncertainty in his voice while studying the object in question.
"Well, I don't need the rest of him. Look at him, he's useless," Rocket explained. It wasn't long after that when heard the Quill man agree to the outrageous task, causing him to continue speaking. "And finally, on the wall back there is a black panel. Blinky yellow light. Do you see it?"
"Yeah."
"There's a quarnyx battery behind it. Purplish box, green wires. To get into that watchtower, I definitely need it."
"How are we supposed to do that?" Primrose questioned after turning her attention away from the object to look back at the raccoon.
"Well, supposedly, these bald bodies find you attractive. So, maybe you can work out some sort of trade," Rocket responded, causing all emotion to fade from the Quill woman's face and her brother to choke on his water.
"You're joking," was the only thing Primrose was able to get out of her mouth as Peter stared at her with wide eyes.
"No, I really heard they find you attractive," the raccoon told her, earning annoyed looks from both the Quill siblings and Gamora.
"Look, it's twenty feet up in the air and it's in the middle of the most heavily-guarded part of the prison," Peter stated in an attempt to get their conversation back to the situation at hand, "it's impossible to get up there without being seen."
"I got one plan, and that plan requires a quarnyx battery, so figure it out! Can I get back to it?" Rocket responded, causing Peter to roll his eyes at the small animal before the former looked at everyone sitting around him, "thanks. Now, this is important. Once the battery is removed, everything is gonna slam into emergency mode. Once we have it, we gotta move quickly, so you definitely need to get that last."
As soon as he finished explaining the plan, the lights dimmed followed by the blaring sound of the alarm. The group of four at the table looked around in panic before turning toward the watchtower to find Groot holding the object Rocket was just describing. "Or we would just get it first and improvise."
"I'll get the armband," Gamora stated before getting to her feet and sprinting away from them.
"Leg," Peter declared as he copied the Zehoberei woman's actions and ran away from the table.
Once they were out of sight, both Primrose and Rocket let out long sighs before the latter turned his attention toward the youngest of their group. "Get to the watchtower and clear the guards out of it. I'll meet you up there as soon as I can."
The only response the Quill woman gave the raccoon was a small nod before both of them got up from their seats and ran into the action. Primrose dodged all the shots being fired at Groot and the panicked prisoners running amuck before finally reaching the stairs to the watchtower. She quickly raced up the steps until she reached the glass doors at the same moment Gamora and Rocket appeared over the railing. The raccoon instantly handed Primrose the two objects in his possession before she managed to connect them together to create the device Rocket needed. It wasn't long after the furry creature was given back the small machine when Peter joined the three of them, followed by Groot and Drax. Primrose sent her brother a confused look when she saw the Kylosian man, only for her to shake it off when Peter sent her a look.
Soon the beeping of the doors filled the air and the glass doors of the watchtower slid open. The guard sitting at the control panel looked at them with a hint of fear in his eyes as he slowly raised his hands in surrender. Gamora let out a small scoff before entering the small room and forcing the man to his feet. The next thing the guard knew, Groot wrapped his arms around him and threw him out of the watchtower before Rocket closed the doors behind them. It wasn't long after that when the raccoon forced Primrose to sit in the chair before instructing her on what to do next.
"Spare me your foul gaze, woman!" Drax exclaimed, causing the Quill woman to glance back to find Gamora staring the Kylosian man down. But it wasn't long before Rocket forced her attention back to the buttons in front of her.
"Why is this one here?" the Zehoberei woman questioned as she looked over at Peter while the raccoon instructed the brunette woman to press a few of the blue buttons.
"I promised him he could stay by your side until he kills your boss. I always keep my promises," the Quill man responded, making Primrose glance back at him with an eyebrow quirked before her brother let out a long sigh and continued, "when they're to muscle-bound whack-jobs who will kill me if I don't. Here you go."
The next thing the Quill woman knew, her brother placed the prosthetic leg on the dashboard in front of her. Primrose just stared at it for a long moment before her eyes fell on the raccoon sitting next to her, only to find him staring at the metal object with a small smirk on his face.
"Oh, I was just kidding about the leg. I just need these two things," Rocket chuckled as he and Primrose continued to get the watchtower ready for the next part of his plan.
"What?!" Peter questioned with a hint of irritation in his voice before the raccoon turned his full attention toward the redheaded man.
"I thought it'd be funny. Was it funny? Oh, wait, what did he look like hopping around?"
"I had to transfer him 30,000 units!"
"30,000 units?!" Primrose shouted as she turned around to face her brother with anger and annoyance on her face, "what part of you thought that was a good idea?!"
"The part of me that thought he needed the leg for his plan!" the Quill man yelled while Rocket continued to laugh at their bickering.
Before the Quill siblings could continue their screaming match, more of the guard drones came out of nowhere and started firing at the watchtower's windows. This instantly made Primrose put a hold on her argument with her brother to go back to pushing buttons with the creature that cost them 30,000 units.
"How are we gonna leave?" Drax questioned as the drones continued to fire everything they had at the group of inmates.
"Well, he's gotta plan," Peter responded before his eyes left the windows and landed back on the raccoon, "right? Or is that another thing you made up?!"
"I have a plan! I have a plan!" Rocket told him while hitting a group of purple buttons in front of him then his attention turned toward the woman next to him, "press that green button!"
"Cease your yammering and relieve us from this irksome confinement," Drax demanded as he glared at the duo sitting at the dashboard.
"Yeah, I'll have to agree with the walking thesaurus on that one," Peter said while continuing to stare out the windows at the danger that surrounded them.
"Do not ever call me a thesaurus."
"It's just a metaphor, dude."
"If you haven't noticed by now, Pete, his people are completely literal," Primrose explained to her brother while she and Rocket continued to work on getting to the next part of the latter's plan, "all your metaphors are gonna go completely over his head."
"Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it."
"I'm gonna die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy," Gamora sighed as she stared out the front window with a blank look on her face.
"Welcome to my life," Primrose muttered under her breath, earning an annoyed look from Peter that she chose to ignore.
Below them, the Nova Corp guards began to pile into the common room. The Quill woman chose to ignore their shouts as she continued to work on getting them out of their current situation. It wasn't until her brother spoke his next words that reality kicked in for her before she felt a wave of panic wash over her.
"Those are some big cannons." Right as the Quill man finished speaking, one of their missiles hit the window in front of Primrose and Rocket, causing a giant crack to form in the class and the former to jump back while the raccoon continued working.
"Rodent, we are ready for your plan," Gamora hissed right, making the furry creature work even faster before a second missile cracked the window closest to Peter.
"I recognize this animal," Drax said as he pointed toward Rocket after Primrose went back to helping the panicked animal move forward with his plan, "we'd roast them over a flame pit as children. Their flesh was quite delicious."
"Not helping!" Rocket shouted at the Kylosian man as he and the Quill woman tapped a few things on the screens in front of them before a third missile damaged the glass on the other side of Gamora.
It wasn't long after that when they heard the final countdown from the head guard down below. The panic within Primrose doubled as she continued to help Rocket before watching the latter plug two wires together. The Quill woman just stared at him in confusion for a long moment, that was until she noticed the guards below them starting to float through the air. She then looked toward the closest cells to see the inmates in the same situation as the Nova Corps. A small smile formed on the brunette woman's face before she turned to look at the raccoon sitting next to her. Everyone continued to watch the scene unfold in front of them as Gamora leaned forward so that he was right next to Primrose to get a better view.
"They turned off the artificial gravity everywhere but in here," the Zehoberei woman stated while her eyes continued to scan over the guards floating in the air in front of them.
"I can take it from here," Primrose told Rocket, causing the latter to take a few steps back before the former began pressing buttons like a mad woman.
The next thing everyone knew, the top of the watchtower detached from its base and was free-floating in the air. Primrose then went to the screen and messed around with the options on it before the drones that were meant to be stopping them attached to the watchtower. Her hands soon moved to a giant lever in the middle of the dashboard and used it to pilot them out of the common room. They crashed into a few guards and walls as he took them through the Kyln before they finally reached their next destination. As soon as Primrose was able to land the watchtower, he pressed a big red button on the dashboard, causing the doors behind them to seal shut.
"I told you I had a plan," the raccoon told them in a confident tone.
"That was a pretty good plan," Peter stated before his eyes landed on his sister, who was still sitting in the chair in front of him, "but how did you figure out what to do?"
"Unlike you, I catch on fast," Primrose responded with a smile, earning another annoyed look from her brother.
It wasn't long after that when Peter kicked out one of the window panes for them to exit through. As soon as all of them got out of the watchtower, they made their way toward the impound to get their personal belongings. Primrose instantly found her box and opened the top to get her clothes and other supplies. Before she closed the lid on the container, she made sure she still had the small box her mother gave her before she and Peter were taken by Yondu in her jacket pocket. A relieved sigh passed over her lips when she felt the small object then she looked over at Peter to find him staring out the one window in the room.
"There it is! Get my ship!" the Quill man shouted as he pointed out the window at his prized possession in the distance, "it's the Milano, the orange and blue one over in the corner."
Right as he finished speaking, Peter sprinted toward the device that held the information on the inmate's personal items. He held down the switch until he found the one that held his things before dragging it out. Primrose and Gamora made their way over to him after watching the Quill man open his container. To their relief, he soon found the object that brought them all together.
"The Orb's there. Let's go," the Zehoberei woman demanded before walking toward the door that Rocket, Groot, and Drax ran through while the Quill woman continued to watch her brother rifle through his belongings.
"Wait, wait, wait," Peter told them with a hint of panic in his voice, causing Gamora to stop and turn back toward them while Primrose continued to stare at her brother, "that idiot didn't put it back."
"Put what pack?" the raven-haired woman questioned as a wave of realization washed over the Quill woman.
The only answer he gave them was shoving the bag that held the Orb into Gamora's hands before he glanced between the two of them. "Here. Get them to the ship. I will be right back."
"Peter-" Primrose started to argue, only to be silenced when she saw the determination in her brother's eyes.
"How are you gonna possibly-"
"Just keep the Milano close by," the Quill man interrupted Gamora, who looked back at him with a hint of shock on her face. When neither of the women moved, Peter started sprinting toward the opposite door before glancing back at them. "Go. Go!"
Primrose just stood there for a moment longer and watched her brother until he disappeared. It wasn't long after that when she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. The next thing she knew, Gamora was dragging her through the halls in the same direction their three other allies went.

"Well, how's he gonna get to us?" Rocket questioned as they sat in the Milano near the front of the Kyln.
"He declined to share that information with me," Gamora stated before her eyes fell on Primrose, who was staring out the window with a blank expression on her face, "do you know how?"
When the Quill woman didn't answer right away, she received an elbow in the side from Rocket, causing her to look away from the window for the first time. She instantly saw everyone's attention on her, which only made the emotions rise within her as her cheeks became bright red. "What did you say?"
"Do you know how he's gonna get to us?" the Zehoberei woman repeated her previous question while Primrose continued to stare at her with a blank expression on her face.
"I have no idea," the Quill woman admitted before turning her head back toward the Kyln, "but he usually doesn't tell me his plans."
"Well, forget this, then! I ain't waiting around for some humie with a death wish," Rocket scoffed, earning a panicked look from Primrose.
"We aren't leaving without my brother," the Quill woman stated just for her words to go ignored. Instead she watched the raccoon looked back at Gamora sitting in the chair behind them.
"You got the Orb, right?"
"Yes," the Zehoberei woman stated as she began to rifle through the back that Peter gave her, only to find nothing but a granola bar inside, "no."
"Then let's go without it because if we don't leave now, we will be blown to bits," Rocket told them as he looked between the two women that occupied the Milano.
"No!" Gamora shouted as the anger in her eyes continued to grow, "we're not leaving without the Orb!"
"Or Peter!" Primrose added, receiving eye rolls from both the Zehoberei woman and the raccoon.
It wasn't long after that when Drax shouted out in joy, causing everyone to follow his gaze out the window to find someone flying toward them. A small smile formed on Primrose's face as soon as she realized it was her brother before she, Gamora, and Drax rushed toward the entrance of the ship.
"This one shows spirit. He shall make a keen ally in the battle against Ronan," Drax stated as he and the two women helped Peter board the ship until he was able to stand on his own two feet, "companion, what were you retrieving?"
The only response the Kylosian man received was Peter taking his most prized possession out of his pocket. Primrose just watched with a knowing look on her face as her brother ejected the tape in his Walkman before handing the tape player to Drax. The man just stared at the object in his hands for a long moment before looking back up at Peter with a hint of irritation in his eyes. "You're an imbecile."
