Sofia Adams woke up the next day around 12:30 slowly opening her eyes adjusting to the lights. She looked around the room realizing that almost everyone had gone to their rooms. She had forgotten everything that happened last night. She forgot putting blankets on Matt and Chris, she forgot Khai and Nate accidentally waking her up as they went to their rooms along with Brooke and Madi.

Sofia looked around to see everyone sleeping except for Matt who was missing, she wondered where he was, but before she looked for him, she went to go brush her hair and teeth, so she didn't look crazy. Sofia quickly made her way to her bathroom and got ready for her day, brushing her hair, teeth, and using the bathroom.

She made her way downstairs, when she saw Matt coming out of the bathroom, "Hey, uh... do you have an extra toothbrush?" she thought about it for a second, "Uh, I think so," she shrugged walking back to her room, but she stopped when she realized Matt wasn't following after her.

"C'mon dummy," she teased, Matt followed after her as she searched the draws of her bathroom with him standing right outside, "If you don't have one it's fine," Matt shrugs, Sofia then pulls out an unopened pack of six toothbrushes, "Never mind," he muttered.

Sofia the stepped out of the bathroom and let him brush his teeth as she sat on her bed scrolling through Instagram. There were comments mentioning her and the triplets wondering if she'd be in any of their videos.

Sofia rolled her eyes at the hate comments even though she actually wanted to threaten all of them or just flat-out cry. People could be so cruel, and they had no reason to be. Sofia just wanted post pictures of her and friends having fun and people just had to go and ruin that for her. Sofia deleted the comments and tried to ignore them.

It wasn't a huge thing, and she didn't want it to be, so she tried her best to delete them all, hoping that no one else saw them. She didn't want the fans to get to her, so she didn't let them. Well, she tried not to let them.

She huffed out a deep breath as Matt came out the bathroom, "I'm surprised you're awake," Matt said, "I'm surprised you're awake, whenever I text you, you don't answer and when I text Nick or Chris, they tell me you're sleeping," Sofia replied.

"I usually fall asleep later," 

"I usually fall asleep earlier and sleep later," she chuckled. "So how do you feel about our unplanned sleepover?" Matt asked, Sofia was about to reply but her phone rang causing her to check to see new notifications from Instagram. 

"Sorry," Sofia muttered an apology as she checked the notifications, "It's fine,"

Sofia sadly looked down at her phone, she didn't know why everyone was being so rude to her, she clicked on the comments only to see a few more of them. The comments were saying how ugly and annoying and rude she was. 

She hated how mean and horrible people could be. "What's wrong?" Matt asked seeing a tear welling up in her eyes, he sat down next to her, "Nothing," Sofia shook her head and turned her phone off. She turned her attention to Matt and whipped the tear that fell.

"Clearly something's wrong," 

Sofia looked into his eyes knowing he wouldn't stop until she told him, so she grabbed her phone and lazily handed it to him. Matt's eyes scanned Sofia's screen as he scrolled through her Instagram comments, reading and deleting every single hate comment.

Sofia peeked and saw one telling her to kill herself. She didn't want to make it a big deal and just thought of what her mom always told her, "Never let anyone get to that pretty little head of yours, you never know what they're going through, be kind." Sofia had always promised her mom that she'd listen to that, and she did, but it was hard to.

Sofia held back her tears as Matt deleted the hate comment. Once he was finished, he turned his attention back to Sofia and bought her closer. Sofia hugged Matt back, leaning her head into the crock of his neck. Sofia tired her hardest to hold her tears in, but they slipped out.

"I'm sorry," Sofia pulled away from Matt as she whipped her tears, "Hey, hey, it's okay, comments like that fucking suck, it's okay to cry," Matt told her with a stern tone holding her hands back from whipping her tears, "If you need to cry, then cry. And if you wanna talk, I'm here," Sofia nodded at his words as tears ran down her face.

Sofia let herself cry for a few seconds, but she hated it. She hated crying, especially in front of people. She just couldn't, she only ever cried in front of her mom and now that she was gone, she only cried in front of Mason. 

Sofia was older than Brooke, Khai, and Nate, so she always felt as if she had to be strong, for them. She known the two siblings since they were 5 or 6, she had been their older sister, along with her youngest brother, Mateo.

She knew that no matter what she had to be strong for them. 

She had been holding in so much hurt from her mother's death and she had no time to let it out. She was too busy taking care of Brooke and Khai and Nate to even cry. 

"Ugh! I'm so sick and tired of crying," Sofia groaned roughly whipping away her tears. "Can we just talk about something else? please?" Matt nodded in response, "Whatever you want," he smiled, "Okay, what makes you happy?" he asked.

"My close friends, my family... you." Sofia answered causing Matt eyes to widen, "And your brothers and I guess Nate," Sofia playfully huffed out. "But most importantly my mom." Sofia said in a more serious tone. 

"She would've loved you." Matt smiled at Sofia's words. 

"I would've loved to meet her," Sofia smiled back at Matt but her smile turned into tears. "Oh my god! why am I still crying?" Sofia asked herself. "Sofia be honest with me, okay?" Sofia nodded. "Have you ever taken time for yourself? Just a day you to, I don't know, cry? grief your mom's death?"

"No," she answered, ".... I-I've been too busy taking of everyone else to focus on myself." Sofia said in realization as she stood up, Sofia realized that she needed help, someone to talk to and help her. "Mason was right... I really am the mom of the group." Sofia huffed out as she sat back down.

"You should take a day to yourself, get everyone out of the house and just relax, you need a break." Matt told her, "I don't have time for that, I want to hang out with you guys and who's gonna watch after Khai and Nate to make sure they don't do anything stupid?" she questioned.

"I can take care of that,"

"We'll have fun trying they don't listen to anyone except me." Sofia deadpanned. "Not even Mason?" Matt asked, "Sometimes, Nate does but sometimes Khai doesn't." she replied.

"You know what? It doesn't matter. I'll be fine, I'll continue to take care of my little family." Sofia shook her thoughts away. She desperately needed to take a day to herself but like she said she needed to take care of her friends. Brooke and Khai's adopted parents didn't care for them, she was basically their mom. 

She had to take care of them, if she didn't no one would.

"Speaking of their probably gonna wake up soon and I have to make breakfast." Sofia whipped the tears on her face and stood up ready to walk out, but Matt stopped her, he pulled her back and just brought her into a hug. He didn't know how to comfort her, and she was too stubborn to listen to him or anyone else.

Sofia was going to pull away, but she just relaxed into the hug, "If you ever want to talk or just relax, I'm here and I'll make sure that you don't have to worry about a thing," Matt whispered into her ear, "Thanks Matt." she smiled into the hug.

Matt knew she wasn't going to take a day to herself, and Sofia didn't plan on it. She knew something would go wrong and she thought she could do this. She planned to take care of her little family and take care of herself whenever she had the time.

The hug lasted for a few minutes but stopped when Brooke and Madi walked in, "What's going on here?" Brooke asked quirking her eyebrows in amusement, "Just hug between friends," Sofia told Brooke with a certain tone causing Brooke to sarcastically nod.

Sofia rolled her eyebrows, "What's up?" 

"Do you have extra-" Sofia cut Madi off already knowing, she walked to her bathroom, grabbed the toothbrushes and walked back handing them to Madi, "Toothbrushes, yeah." Sofia nodded, "Oh thanks Sofie" Madi smiled.

Brooke and Madi then walked out while Sofia made her way into the hallway to make breakfast, "You wanna help me make breakfast?" Sofia asked turning around to face Matt, "Sure," he smiled before following her downstairs. 

Sofia grabbed all of the ingredients and started making breakfast, which was just eggs, pancakes, sausage, and bacon, with the help of Matt. The two tried to remain silent but once the bacon started cooking everyone woke up.

Sofia placed all of the scrambled eggs into a big bowl as Matt did the same with the sausages. Matt was startled by the sound of footsteps thundering down the steps causing Sofia to smile, "I told you, when they smell bacon the go crazy," 

"I see that now," Matt laughed. 

"I smell bacon!" Khai and Brooke yelled from the top of the steps as they rushed down. Sofia chuckled at the two, a few seconds later Madi and Nate followed after the two. "Calm down," Sofia told them, "Some people are still sleeping," 

"Just sit down, we're almost done." Sofia slapped Khai's hand away from the food, "I'm hungry," she gave him a look causing him to groan as he walked to the table. She rolled her eyes at him as she placed the pancakes on a plate.

A few minutes later Mason, Nick, and Chris all woke up. Sofia offered the two toothbrushes which they gladly took. The three boys ran upstairs to brush their teeth as Sofia and Matt finished up breakfast and made everyone including themselves a plate before they all sat down and ate dinner like a family.

"Wow, we really all like a little family." Sofia whispered to Matt as they glanced around to see everyone eating their breakfast with smiles as they all talked. "Yeah," he nodded, "I love my little family," Sofia muttered to herself as she looked at a picture of her mom hanging on the wall.

"Remember it's okay to cry, and it's okay to miss her," Matt told her in a whisper, "I know," she nodded before turning her attention back to their conversation.
