Peter and Gwen walked side by side toward the Sanctum Sanctorum's hidden underground entrance. It had been a tense journey from the moment they'd met up, the air between them thick with unresolved tension. MJ and Ned were standing near the entrance, their eyes darting between the two as Gwen radiated pure frustration.

Her Spider-suit was unzipped halfway, her hoodie slightly wrinkled from pacing. She planted her hands on her hips and shot Peter an icy glare. "So let me get this straight. You-you, Peter Parker-messed up a spell and tore open the multiverse. Am I understanding that right?"

Peter groaned, already exhausted. "Gwen, it wasn't like I meant to. It just... happened, okay?"

"Oh, yeah, because spells are just like accidentally spilling coffee, huh?" Gwen retorted, pacing back and forth, her blonde ponytail swishing with every irritated step. "Peter, do you even realize how insane this is? You've got villains from God-knows-where trapped in there, and somehow I'm here now? How is this even possible?"

Peter rubbed his temples. "I don't know! I'm still trying to figure it out, okay? Can we just focus on the problem at hand?"

"The problem at hand is you screwing up, Parker," Gwen snapped, not letting him off the hook. "And then you just had to dump me, right before all this insanity. I could've helped you-maybe kept you from destroying reality! But no, you thought going solo was a good idea."

MJ, standing a few feet away with Ned, winced as Gwen's voice grew louder. "Um, Gwen, I don't want to interrupt, but maybe-"

"Oh, no, MJ, by all means, interrupt," Gwen said sarcastically, throwing her hands up. "Someone needs to stop me before I lose my mind over Peter's cosmic screw-ups."

MJ opened her mouth to speak but hesitated, her eyes darting upward. She nudged Ned, who immediately started pointing too.

"Gwen!" MJ tried again, louder this time, her voice tinged with urgency.

"What now?" Gwen groaned, turning to face her, clearly not in the mood.

MJ pointed upward. "There's something-above you!"

Gwen froze and tilted her head, just in time to see a massive shadow descending from the sky. Before she could react, the whoosh of wings filled the air, and a deafening metallic screech echoed through the night.

"What the-" Gwen started, but before she could finish, the Vulture swooped down from above, his mechanical talons slamming into her and yanking her off the ground.

"Gwen!" Peter shouted, his Spider-sense flaring as he jumped forward, shooting a web toward the Vulture. But the villain was too fast, lifting Gwen into the air with terrifying speed.

"Let me go, you oversized turkey!" Gwen yelled, her body thrashing as she dangled in his grip. She reached for her web-shooter, aiming at his wing, but the Vulture laughed darkly.

"You think that toy's gonna stop me?" he sneered. In one swift motion, he tore the web-shooter off her wrist and tossed it to the ground.

"You're dead meat when I get out of this!" Gwen shouted, writhing in his grasp and kicking at his legs.

The Vulture tightened his grip, his metal claws digging into her arms. "Keep squirming, kid. Makes it more fun."

Below, Peter was frantically firing webs at the Vulture, but the distance was too great. "Gwen!" he screamed, his voice cracking.

"Peter, do something!" MJ yelled, gripping his arm as Ned stood frozen in place, his eyes wide with fear.

"I'm trying!" Peter snapped, shooting another web, only to miss again as the Vulture soared higher.

High above the ground, Gwen continued to fight. "I don't care who you are-when I get loose, you're-"

The Vulture interrupted her with a sharp blow to the side of her head. The force of the hit made her vision blur, her limbs slackening as she slumped in his grip.

"Gwen!" Peter's voice echoed through the air, filled with desperation as he watched her go limp.

The Vulture let out a menacing laugh as he disappeared into the distance, Gwen's unconscious body dangling from his talons.

MJ and Ned stood frozen, their faces pale with shock. "What do we do now?" MJ asked, her voice trembling as she looked at Peter.

Peter's fists clenched, his jaw tightening as anger and fear surged through him. He didn't even hesitate as he turned toward the Sanctum's entrance. "We get her back. Whatever it takes."

Gwen's head pounded as she blinked herself awake, the faint hum of fluorescent lights buzzing in her ears. The air was damp and musty, and the cold bite of concrete pressed against her skin. Her arms ached, tightly bound behind her back, the sharp edges of metal cuffs digging into her wrists. She groaned, shifting slightly, her entire body stiff and sore.

The dim room around her came into focus: a basement. The walls were rough stone, lined with tools and wires, some hanging loosely from the ceiling. In one corner was a table cluttered with scraps of metal, bolts, and what looked like blueprints. She struggled against the restraints, testing their strength, but it was no use.

"Finally awake."

The voice startled her, low and gravelly, and she turned her head sharply. Adrian Toomes-better known as the Vulture-stood a few feet away, his mask off, pacing the room with an air of frustration and triumph. His face was lined with age and anger, his expression cold and calculating as his boots clicked against the concrete. His wings, retracted now, rested menacingly against his back, their sharp edges glinting faintly in the dim light.

Gwen glared at him, her voice cutting through the silence. "You really went all out with the creepy basement vibe. What the hell do you want, Toomes?"

He stopped pacing, turning toward her with a slow, predatory smile. "I know who you are, Gwendolyn Stacy." He gestured toward her bound form. "Spider-Woman. Or, as I've heard some call you... the White Spider."

Gwen's pulse quickened, but she refused to let it show. "Yeah, congrats. You've done your homework. Doesn't answer my question, though. What do you want?"

Toomes moved closer, crouching slightly to meet her eye level. "I want you to get me back to my world."

Gwen frowned, her brows knitting together. "That's it? You kidnapped me for a cross-dimensional Uber ride?"

Toomes let out a sharp, humorless laugh, standing back up to his full height. "Hardly. You're going to do more than that, Spider-Woman. You're going to come with me, and you're going to help me defeat my Gwen Stacy."

For a moment, Gwen stared at him, processing his words. Then she let out a short, incredulous laugh. "Wow. You're really reaching, huh? Newsflash: I'm not helping you with anything. And if your Gwen Stacy is half as good as me, you're already screwed."

His face darkened at her taunt, and before she could react, his hand lashed out, striking her across the face with brutal force. Gwen's head snapped to the side, the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth. She coughed, spitting a crimson streak onto the floor, then turned back to glare at him, her eyes burning with fury.

"What the fuck is your problem?" she growled, her voice low and venomous.

Toomes crouched down again, his face inches from hers, his voice cold and measured. "My problem is that I don't like being mocked, little spider. And I don't think you understand how precarious your situation is. You're going to do what I say, or I'll make sure you regret it."

Gwen stared at him, her jaw tight, her mind racing. She was trapped, and she knew it. She needed time to think, time to figure out a way out of this mess. For now, she'd have to play along.

"Fine," she muttered, her voice begrudging. "I'll build you the damn weapon. But don't think for a second I'm doing it because I want to."

Toomes straightened up, a smug smile spreading across his face. "Smart girl. That's more like it."

He turned his back on her, walking toward the cluttered table and rifling through the scraps of metal and tools. Gwen's mind worked frantically, already devising a plan. If he thought she'd hand him the means to unleash chaos on another universe, he was dead wrong. But she'd have to play her cards carefully.

As he tinkered with something on the table, Gwen leaned back slightly, testing the strength of her restraints again. The metal cuffs were tight, but she could feel the faintest bit of give. She just needed time.

Toomes glanced back at her, his eyes narrowing. "Don't get any ideas, Stacy. You're not going anywhere."

Gwen smirked, despite the throbbing pain in her cheek. "Oh, don't worry. I'm right where you want me. For now."

The Vulture turned back to his work, but Gwen's resolve only hardened. She wasn't going to let this man win-no matter what it took.

The basement was dim and cluttered, filled with mismatched tools and scraps of metal. Gwen worked furiously at the table, her fingers deftly assembling a sleek, gun-like device. Sweat beaded her brow, and her jaw was set with concentration. It was all a ruse, of course. The so-called "portal gun" was no such thing-it was a modified laser weapon she'd cobbled together, designed to incapacitate Adrian Toomes, the Vulture, and buy her a way out.

Across the room, Toomes paced back and forth like a caged animal, his boots scraping the concrete floor. His wingsuit rested against the far wall, but he hadn't let his guard down for a moment since dragging Gwen here.

"How much longer, Stacy?" Toomes growled. "You've been working on that thing forever."

"Patience isn't your strong suit, is it?" Gwen shot back, not looking up. Her tone was dripping with sarcasm.

Toomes stopped pacing and slammed his fist down on a nearby table, making Gwen flinch slightly despite herself. "I'm not playing games here. I want that portal open, and I want it now."

Gwen exhaled sharply and turned to face him, hands on her hips. "Look, this isn't like fixing a leaky faucet. It takes time, okay? Or do you want me to slap some duct tape on it and hope for the best?"

Toomes glared at her but didn't respond, his hands curling into fists.

Gwen returned to her work, her mind racing. She needed to finish the laser gun quickly before Toomes lost what little patience he had left. As she connected the final wires, she glanced at him and decided to push her luck.

"If we're gonna work together," Gwen said, her voice casual, "can you at least give me my web shooters back? And maybe a suit? Working in my civvies isn't exactly optimal."

Toomes narrowed his eyes at her, considering her request. After a long pause, he nodded and moved to a table where her confiscated gear sat. He tossed her web shooters toward her, and they clattered onto the table. "Don't make me regret this," he warned.

"Wouldn't dream of it," Gwen muttered, strapping the shooters onto her wrists. She retrieved her suit from the corner and slipped it on quickly, savoring the feeling of being herself again.

As Toomes turned his back to inspect his wingsuit, Gwen seized her chance. She pulled the laser weapon from her workbench, aiming it directly at him. Her finger hovered over the trigger when a sudden, deafening crack filled the air.

Electricity surged through the basement, the lights flickering violently. Sparks rained down from the ceiling, and a massive bolt of lightning struck Toomes' wingsuit, sending him sprawling to the ground. He convulsed briefly before going still, unconscious.

"Holy-" Gwen started, but her words were cut off by the sound of rubble crumbling above her.

A huge gap opened in the ceiling, and through the cloud of dust and debris, she saw a familiar figure swinging into the room. Relief flooded her as Spider-Man-Peter-landed gracefully in front of her, his mask half-pulled up to reveal his worried expression.

"Gwen!" he called, rushing to her. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," she said, lowering the laser weapon. "But I've had better days."

Before she could say more, a strange, crackling noise filled the room. She and Peter both turned toward its source, their eyes widening as a figure began to materialize. Electricity danced wildly in the air, coalescing into a humanoid shape.

When the figure fully formed, Gwen's breath caught in her throat. It looked exactly like her father.

"Dad?" she whispered, taking a hesitant step forward.

The figure smirked, his voice crackling with static. "Not your dad, sweetheart. I'm his doppelgΓ€nger. Call me Electro."

Gwen froze, her mind racing to process what she was seeing. "Great," she muttered under her breath. "Because one version of him wasn't enough."

Electro laughed, a low, menacing sound. "You've got some spunk, kid. I like that."

Peter didn't waste time on banter. He pulled out the magical device he'd taken from Doctor Strange, its glowing runes spinning rapidly. "Stay back, Gwen," he warned, activating the device.

A glowing portal began to form in the center of the room, its pull growing stronger by the second. Electro fought against it, his body sparking wildly as he tried to resist.

"No!" Electro roared, but it was no use. With a final burst of electricity, he was sucked into the vortex, disappearing from sight.

Gwen turned to see Toomes beginning to stir, his groan audible even over the fading hum of the portal. Peter aimed the device at him as well, activating it once more. The Vulture let out a strangled cry as he was pulled into the portal, his wingsuit scraping against the ground before vanishing completely.

As the portal closed, silence descended on the room. Gwen let out a shaky breath, her adrenaline finally starting to subside.

"Well," she said, glancing at Peter, "that was... a lot."

Peter grinned, pulling his mask back down. "Welcome to the multiverse, Gwen."

She laughed softly, shaking her head. "You sure know how to keep things interesting, Parker."

"Always," he replied, his tone light, though his eyes remained serious.

As they prepared to leave the basement, Gwen couldn't help but wonder what other surprises the multiverse had in store for them. Whatever it was, she knew she wouldn't be facing it alone.
