LILLIAN made it to her apartment after Ned's mother had dropped her off. She looked around, noticing that she was alone and her brother was still at the dance. She sighed nervously as she goes into her room and then into her bathroom, changing into her cozy red flannel shorts and a dark grey loose sweatshirt along with some cream colored fuzzy socks. Getting her phone from the pocket of her dress that was now hanging up in her bathroom, she took her phone with her to her bed. She grabbed the remote from her nightstand, turning it on to a random channel as she waited for Peter to text or call her.
Hearing a tapping sound coming from her window, she looked up to see a dirty, bruised with a cut lip Peter outside of her window. Her eyes narrowed as she quickly got up to her window to open it for him. Peter slowly rolled into her room tiredly as he groaned in pain.
"Peter, oh my god. Are you okay?" She whispered softly, helping Peter up to her bed as she gently helped him sit down.
Peter nodded as he groaned as Lillian quickly goes to shut her door, locking it afterward. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm just tired." He whispered as he slowly laid down against her soft bed.
Lillian goes to her bathroom, getting a damp wash cloth and walking back to a tired Peter. She sat near his head, lifting his head up to place it back down against her lap gently. She wiped away the dirt from Peter's face as she finally spoke up, "I heard you took Flash's car and phone tonight." She laughed softly, giving Peter a small smile as she continued cleaning off the dirt on his face.
He lets out a tired laugh, "Yeah... you should've seen his face. It was... kinda funny." He smiles lopsidedly with his eyes closed contentedly. "H-How was homecoming?" His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes flutter open, finally looking up at Lillian.
Lillian stopped her movements for a brief second before continuing again, "Um... it was okay." She shrugged as she smiled softly, meeting Peter's gaze.
Peter hummed in response, lifting his hand up to Lillian's cheek as he softly caresses it with the back of his knuckles. "You look pretty." He mumbles afraid to speak up any louder.
Lillian held his hand in hers, "Peter-" She sighed, cutting her sentence short, stopping her movements as she placed the wash cloth beside her.
"Why did we have to grow apart?" Peter asked suddenly, playing with Lillian's fingers whilst tracing random shapes in her palm.
Lillian shook her head as she ran her free hand into his curls, "I don't know. Life happens, Pete." She gulped nervously as she shrugged.
He shook his head in disagreement, "I think it's more than that." He said, intertwining their fingers as he laid their hands against his chest. He raised his head up slightly to meet Lillian's gaze, "I became distant with you because of the 'internship' which was a terrible thing to do to you, I know." He let out a tired sigh. "But... I only did that because... I-I didn't want anything to happen to you." He said softly as his thumb caressed the back of her hand that he was gently holding.
She gave him a reassuring smile, her free hand slowly moving to caress his face. "Nothing is going to happen to me." She reassured him as her other hand gave him slight squeeze. She sighed in thought as her eyebrows furrowed slightly. "I guess... I became distant because I-I didn't like the fact that you um... had a crush on Liz and that was the only thing you would talk to me about?" She chuckled lightly as she thought her reason was stupid and foolish now that she thought about it.
Peter looked at her with narrowed eyes, "I did?" He asked as his free hand rubbed his eyes tiredly whilst Lillian nodded her head. He dropped his free hand by his other hand, "I'm sorry. I-I didn't know."
"N-No- I mean it's fine now. She makes you happy and that makes me happy. That's all that matters." She gave him a small smile, nodding to herself.
He sat up, letting go of her hand as he turns to face her. "Lills," He chuckled softly whilst shaking his head at her response as he held her hand once again, "I'm happier when I'm with you." He smiled. "You make me happy." He whispered, his free hand reaching her cheek to caress it lightly.
She shook her head in disbelief, looking down at their hands, "It's so damn hard to ignore you when you're so cute." She mumbled to herself as she fiddled with Peter's fingers.
"W-What?" Peter smiled, unsure if he heard her correctly.
Lillian's head shot up whilst shaking her head dismissively, "N-Nothing." She cleared her throat, licking her lips before speaking up. "I-It's getting late... y-you should go." She said softly, her eyes falling into Peter's piercing gaze.
"I'd rather stay with you." He whispered softly as his gaze fell onto her lips and then back to her soft and bright green eyes.
"What about aunt May? She-"
"I told her I was gonna stay over at Ned's." Peter interrupted her. "I-I just wanna stay here with you."
Lillian sighed whilst nodding in response, "Fine, but you're gonna need to shower." She chuckled teasingly as Peter playfully nudged her. "I'll go get some clothes for you." She said softly, getting off her bed whilst throwing the wash cloth in her hamper. She left her room, closing the door after her as she silently went to her brother's room to get some sweats and shirt for Peter. As Peter was already in the bathroom, Lillian goes back into her room knocking on her bathroom door. "I got you some clothes." She told him as Peter opened the bathroom door.
Peter grabbed the set of clothes and quietly thanked her before shutting the door after himself as he went to take a shower. Lillian walked to her window to shut it after she realized it was still opened. She sat on her bed, flipping through channels to find something good to watch, but found nothing. Turning her tv off, she placed the remote on her nightstand, and proceeded to go on her phone.

Lillian rolled her eyes as she placed her phone down on her nightstand. Hearing the bathroom door open, she turned to see Peter holding his dirty homemade spidersuit. "Hey." She said softly whilst giving him a small smile.
"Hi." He breathes out contentedly as he placed the suit on Lillian's swivel chair. "Um... I-I need to tell you s-something." He spoke nervously as his hand scratched the back of his neck.
Her eyes furrowed in concern, "Okay... uh what is it?" She asked crossing her legs.
He sat beside her as he tried to fight the courage to speak up. "I don't want things to get weird o-or ruin anything between us-"
"Peter, spit it out. You're starting to scare me a bit." She laughed lightly feeling uneasy.
"Right, um..." He cleared his throat as he scratched the back of his neck nervously. He shook his head, "Never mind." He breathed out shakily.
She narrowed her eyes at him as she let out a soft chuckle to ease up the tension. "Peter, you can tell me." She gave his hand a small comforting squeeze.
Peter let out a long sigh as he nodded to himself to try and encourage himself to just say whatever it was that he wanted to say. "Y-Yeah." He said as he began to play with her fingers to help distract him.
Lillian sat patiently waiting for Peter to speak up as she watched him fiddle with her fingers contentedly. Peter sighed once more, squeezing her hand gently in his as he felt his heart racing in his ear. He cleared his throat once more, "I-I like you." He whispered, still squeezing her hand gently as he raised his head to meet her soft gaze.
Lillian held back her smile, "I'm sorry, what?" She asked a little taken aback yet filled with joy.
"I, um like you..." Peter repeated himself, trying to get a read on Lillian's emotions.
"I heard what you said." Lillian spoke softly as she gave him a teasing smile. "I just wanted to hear you say it again." She shrugged playfully. Peter's face softened as he let out a small chuckle in relief, nodding to himself. Lillian squeezed his hand back, "I like you too." She pursed her lips in thought, "It kinda took me a while to notice, but I have... for a while now." She admitted shyly whilst looking down at their intertwined fingers as she smiled lightly.
"R-Really?" He asked softly as he felt butterflies erupt in his stomach. "Uh, me too." He chuckled lightly. "I-I guess the right person was right in front of me all along." He smiled in awe at her, bringing his hand up to her cheek as her caressed it. His gaze fell onto her lips and then back to her soft green eyes as he felt himself leaning closer to her. It was like she had some magnetic pull on him and he so gingerly drew toward her at ease.
His lips were centimeters apart from hers that they were basically brushing. Their eyes fluttered closed as Lillian snaked her hand behind Peter's neck to bring him closer to her, deepening the kiss. His hands dropped to her waist whilst Lillian's hands dropped down to his chest as she pulled away from the kiss. Peter rested his forehead against hers as they both smiled contentedly. His thumb caressed her lips as he stared at them, "Your lips are soft." He spoke suddenly.
Lillian laughed as she nodded, "I could say the same about yours." She whispered intertwining her hand with his. "As much as I would like for you to stay, my mom is gonna kill me if she sees you in my bed." She chuckled softly, looking up at Peter.
Peter nodded in agreement as he chuckled as well, "Yeah..." He said gently as he got up from her bed.
Lillian held onto his hand as she stopped him from walking any further, "I didn't mean that you should leave." She stated as Peter's eyes narrowed in confusion. "You don't... have to go. Y-You could sleep on the floor." She suggested, not really wanting him to leave even though she knew he shouldn't stay.
"Lills," He chuckled softly, "w-what about your mom?" He asked.
Lillian rolled her eyes playfully, "I said she'll kill me if she sees you in my bed." She said with a small smile.
"O-Oh..." He nodded slowly before shaking his head whilst smiling at Lillian.
Lillian gave him a shrug as she playfully threw a pillow at Peter which caught him off guard. Peter looked at her in shock as she stuck her tongue out at him. She got up from her bed and opened her closet door to grab some extra blankets from the top shelf above the rack of clothes. After closing her closet door and handing the extra blankets to Peter, Lillian went back to her bed and got underneath her covers. Peter set up his little bed of blankets on the floor beside her bed, laying his head against the pillow and covering himself with one of blankets.
Lillian turned her light off, turning to face Peter who was laying on the floor already facing her. "Hey, Peter?" She whispered softly. Peter hummed in response as he looked up at her intently. "Does it scare you?" Lillian asked softly not wanting to speak any louder.
"Does what scare me?" He whispered, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Being Spider-Man?" She asked inquisitively.
He nodded, "Yeah, sometimes." He whispered as he shrugged before speaking up again, "The thing that scares me the most about being Spider-Man is losing the people I love the most because of it." He said truthfully. "I-I don't..." He cleared his throat, "I don't know how I could live with myself if the people I love died because of me."
"Pete... No one's going to die because of you." She smiled softly, reassuring him the best she could. "I mean... look at what you can do Peter. You stopped a bus- with your bare hands, might I add- You saved Mr. Delmar, you also ditched homecoming to stop some guy with-with some alien weapons. Hell, you even saved me at one point. You save people, Peter. You may have some bad guys after you, but that never seems to stop you from saving everyone else." She said softly.
Peter nodded, "Yeah." He sighed, giving her a tired smile as he stared at her in adoration. "You're amazing, you know that?"
Lillian shrugged playfully, "I know." She smiled. "Goodnight, Peter." She said softly as she fluttered her eyes closed.
"Goodnight, Lills." He smiled contentedly as they both slowly fell asleep.
