The soft pillow caressed her face, like sinking into a fluffy marshmallow as Evelyn smiled in her sleep, snuggling and making herself warm under the blanket. A small yawn escaped her lips as she slowly opened up her eyes when she remembered she wasn't in her room.

Looking down at herself she took in the state she was in.

She was naked underneath the sheets.

And then she blushed knowing exactly how she ended up like this.

The arms around her tightened, face nuzzling her neck when she took a peek over her shoulder to look at the person sleeping with her.

It was Bonnie.

before sexy time happened

Igniting the world anew, the sun rose with elegance, like a flower opening and gifting its petals. The golden light softly caressed the land and the birds broke into a chorus of melodies causing Evelyn to slowly flutter her eyes open.

She rubbed on her eyes and took a glance around her surroundings to find herself in the middle of the woods. "You've got to be kidding me. I'm sleepwalking now?!" She asked herself, confused as ever.

"Evelyn." A familiar voice called her name.

Evelyn whirled around following the voice that continued to call her. "Hello?" Her voice echoed in the woods. "Eve, you're going crazy. This is just a dream," she muttered and continued to lightly slap herself on the cheek.

"Hello, Eve." The soft feminine voice spoke and now standing in front of her was Sheila Bennet, smiling at the young girl.

"Grams?" Evelyn narrowed her eyes at the woman as she walked slowly towards her. "Oh my God am I in heaven?! When did I die?!" She panicked, her heart beat quickening each second.

"No! I need my ice cream!" Her eyes widened.

"No, Eve." Sheila laughed and stopped the girl from rambling. "I don't have enough time but i've come to send you a message."

"Message?"

"You're more than what you think are, Eve. You're gifted," she said as she held Evelyn's hand and walked with her.

"Oh is this about the math test I took? I'm proud of myself too. Didn't think i'd get top marks in my class." The oblivious girl said and Sheila laughed, shaking her head.

"It's starting," Sheila murmured, studying Evelyn's hand and watched as a glow illuminated through her veins then disappear.

"Okay, I'm so confused right now." Evelyn stopped and faced Sheila. "Is this another one of my Marvel dreams? Where i'm told i'm going to be an Avenger?"

"Eve," Shelia tried to get her attention.

"This is the weirdest dream i've ever had well after meeting him who won't show his face to me at all," Evelyn rolled her eyes and Sheila cut her off.

"You are very powerful and strong. Make sure you control yourself," Sheila spoke softly and Evelyn furrowed her brows.

"Okay now my Marvel addiction is getting way out of hand now," Evelyn mumbled to herself.

"Do not let the darkness overcome you," Sheila said with a stern tone.

"What?" Evelyn asked. Sheila opened her mouth to tell her more however a loud noise snapped her back to reality preventing her to get the answer.

A loud knock on her bedroom door made Evelyn gasp, jolting awake and sitting up. "What the hell was that?" She whispered, referring to her dream.

"Get ready for school!" Jenna's voice boomed from outside her bedroom and Evelyn was about lay back down when Jenna spoke up again. "Don't even think about laying back down!"

"Jeez, calm down," Evelyn mumbled, feeling her eyes starting to slowly close again.

"Now Evelyn!" Jenna shouted.

"5 minutes. That's all i'm asking for," Evelyn huffed and jumped out of bed, running and tripping everywhere in her room to get dressed for the day.

"Ow!" Her face met the floor.

"Eve?!" She heard Jenna concerned voice calling her from downstairs.

"I'm okay!" Evelyn said. "I think?" She rubbed on her nose and winced at the slight pain.

Standing back up, she carefully walked inside the bathroom pausing for a second when goosebumps arose on her skin, and hearing a faint sound behind her. She turned, glancing around her surroundings, shrugging when it was nothing and returned her attention back to doing her morning routine.

Washing then drying her face with a towel, she checked herself once more in the mirror and suddenly jumped up in surprise, a small scream escaping her lips.

A beautiful woman with red hair was standing behind her.

Evelyn slowly looked over her shoulder, blinking a couple of times only to see no one then back at the mirror. "I'm definitely getting crazier as each day passes," she muttered in confusion.

"Evelyn!" Jenna shouted again and Evelyn groaned.

"I'm nearly done!"

She grabbed her bag, running down the stairs and into the kitchen. Jeremy grabbed his plate and disappeared into the living room before Evelyn could take his food. "You're lucky today." She pointed at him and he rolled his eyes.

Evelyn instead snatched Jenna's toast from her hand which she was about to eat. "That's mine!" Jenna tried to take it back and Evelyn kissed her one the cheek.

"I love you too!"

As soon as Evelyn reached and entered the hallway she found Caroline and Matt looking at a poster on a notice board. "My favourite people!" She exclaimed as she jumped on Matt's back and he let out a small 'oomph' whilst she high fived Caroline at the same time.

"You're heavy Eve," Matt teased and she slapped him on his shoulder, still clinging on to his back.

"You're no longer my favourite person anymore and you can carry me to my locker since you said that," she told him and Caroline laughed.

Evelyn looked at the flyer on the wall. "Ooh, a live band. Sounds fun."

"Yeah the Grill's trying to stay afloat," Matt said.

"Sad times. Please take me to my locker," Evelyn asked kindly and Matt headed towards her locker with Caroline walking besides them. He set Evelyn down, letting her grab some of her books.

"Have any of you heard from Tyler?" Matt asked them. Evelyn and Caroline gave each other a quick glance.

"I've been trying to get hold of him," Evelyn said. She wanted to speak to him about what his werewolf friends did to Caroline but Tyler had been avoiding to face Evelyn's wrath.

"Not a peep. You?" Caroline asked Matt.

"No, not since he stopped by the Grill to talk with me, and I've left messages on his phone," Matt explained to them.

Evelyn tuned out their talk, squinting her eyes when she someone had caught her attention. The red hair woman was now standing at the end of the hallway.

What in the horror movie am I living in?

She felt her heartbeat quicken and took deep breaths when she felt uneasy with herself.

"Eve, are you okay?" Matt asked, gently shaking Evelyn's shoulder. Evelyn flinched and dropped her books on the floor. "I'm sorry, Eve. I didn't mean to scare you. You just sort of freaked out."

"Freaking out? Me? Never. I– I'm great." She bent down to pick her books and they helped her. "Doing perfect," she murmured. She peered through her lashes but no one was standing at the other end anymore.

"Are you sure?" Caroline asked, searching Evelyn's eyes and they held a slight fear that was quickly recovered by a smile. "If there is something going on, you can tell me."

"It's nothing." She dismissed it with a nervous laugh.

"But you looked afraid," Caroline frowned and held her hand, taking her to a corner. "Eve, have the nightmares come back? Did you sleep well last night?" She quietly asked.

"No nightmares. I'm fine." She gave them a reassuring smile. "Oh look we're getting late for class." She walked away and Caroline turned to Matt.

"That was not like the Eve we know at all," Caroline said as she turned back to see Evelyn taking a right, disappearing at the end of the hall. "Something's been off with her lately."

"And she's gone to the wrong class too," Matt pointed out, the two watching as Evelyn turned the other way round to go to her correct class, mumbling words to herself.

"Hey Eve." Bonnie sat down next to her in the canteen, pulling Evelyn out of her intense thoughts.

"Hey gorgeous," Evelyn smiled.

"You look extra hot today," Bonnie complimented as she gave the hem of Evelyn's dress a little tug.

"Oh thank you," Evelyn tried not to blush as she glanced down at her dress. "This is the dress you gifted to me. One of my favourites."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes at her. Concern was now written all over Bonnie's face. "What's with this look?"

"Caroline told me what happened." Evelyn sighed. "Are you okay?" Bonnie asked.

Evelyn shrugged, stabbing the vegetables with her fork. "If the school canteen stops feeding us more vegetables and instead the actual food then i'll be okay. 5 a day my ass," she muttered.

Bonnie sighed and spoke in a softer tone. "I'm concerned for you, Eve. You haven't been yourself much lately. What's going on? Don't even deny it."

Evelyn took a deep breath before speaking. "On a scale of 1 - 10 how crazy would you think I am if I told you I keep seeing things."

"Depends because the Evelyn I know is off the scale," Bonnie joked and Evelyn bumped her shoulders with hers, lightly, a small pout fixed on her lips. "Okay, okay, jokes aside. What have you been seeing?"

"This woman with red hair. She appears every now and then, staring at me."

"That's creepy." Bonnie frowned.

"That's just not all of it, Bon. I've been so paranoid. A lot lately," she added.

"What is it?" Bonnie asked.

Evelyn glanced around them, there were too many people in the canteen for them to talk about it so she grabbed on to Bonnie's hand, dragging her out of the canteen and into an empty classroom as she paced around the room. "Eve, you're scaring me. What's going on?"

"Don't freak out, okay? But I had a dream about Grams today," Evelyn said and Bonnie's eyes widened.

"What?"

"I thought it was one of my Marvel dreams but it wasn't. Call me insane but a memory came back to me last night and i think it's connected to it somehow. Do you remember when we were kids and I told you I had superpowers and that you had them too?"

"Yeah?"

"Well Grams told me in my dreams that I was gifted." Evelyn nervously played with her fingers.

"Like a witch?" Bonnie asked.

"I don't know. She was about to tell me but then just disappeared. I'm so scared Bonnie after my parents died things have been extra weird especially the dreams, I've been having them a lot," Evelyn stressed out her concerns.

"About your mysterious man?" Bonnie asked.

"Forget about him. He's being an annoying ass by not showing his face," Evelyn scowled and Bonnie laughed. "I hope I never see him again."

"I've been having more nightmares lately," Evelyn continued. "They frighten me a lot." She tried to remove the horrific images away that she would always see.

"Do you think it's just an effect from the accident, I mean you did die then came back alive," Bonnie murmured.

"I don't know but that day when I met Elijah and touched his hand I saw something. Several things actually. One of them was with a woman but I couldn't see her face."

"What else?"

Evelyn tried to remember. "Uh– the other was of some kids, maybe 5 of them running in a forest. That's all I could remember seeing."

"I can't control what I see, Bonnie. It scares me so much," she frowned. "I'm losing my mind." She took a shaky deep breath.

Bonnie made her face her. "Hey, no you're not. Whatever is going on, we'll find out together just like how you were there for me, yeah?" Evelyn nodded.

"And I want you to tell me if you dream about Grams again or anything related to that."

"Okay."

"Come here." Bonnie brought her into her arms and Evelyn tightly wrapped her own around her. Feeling safe in her embrace.

"Can you keep this between us for now?" Evelyn mumbled.

"I will." Pulling away from each other, Bonnie cupped her cheeks. "It's going to be okay, Eve. I believe you."

"I know you do," Evelyn smiled, glad that she was not going through this alone.

━━━━━━━━━━

"What?!" Evelyn shouted to Jeremy as he drove and kept his eyes on the road. "What did you just say?"

"Bonnie found out that Kevin has Luka's sister that's why he and his dad were helping Elijah," Jeremy repeated what he had told her earlier.

"Wow. That's confusing and a lot to take in. He also sounds like an ass too with what he's doing. Doesn't he have a life instead tormenting people?" Evelyn remarked and Jeremy chuckled.

Evelyn sighed drifted back to her thoughts. "What's wrong?" Jeremy asked.

"A lot of has been going wrong lately and I feel so stressed out," Evelyn sighed.

"Shall I buy you ice cream?" Jeremy asked. "Lemonade?"

"Jeremy Gilbert," Evelyn gasped sarcastically. "Are you offering to treat your sister for the first time?"

"No. I was joking," Jeremy smirked and Evelyn rolled her eyes.

She glanced down at her phone, confused with the message she was sent. "Will you drive to Bonnie's house? She needs to see me."

"Sure," Jeremy nodded.

The car was then filled with silence for a while until Evelyn looked away from the window as she glanced back to Jeremy. "I know something happened between you and Kenji."

That made Jeremy press on the brakes harshly but accidentally, making them jerk forward and Evelyn's eyes widened. "Jeremy!"

"We're here," Jeremy quickly changed the subject when he parked right outside Bonnie's house.

"Jer–" Evelyn began.

Jeremy pretend to look down at his phone. "Oh it's Aunt J. She wants me to help her with the grocery shopping."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes at him, shaking her head in disbelief. Opening the door and shutting it close, she left. Jeremy sighed as he shut his eyes for a moment.

He heard a knock on his window finding Evelyn stood besides his car with a scowl on her face. Rolling it down, he spoke up, "What?"

"This conversation isn't over." Evelyn pinched and twisted his nose, walking away from him.

"Bitch," Jeremy muttered when he grabbed a half empty water bottle and threw it across at her.

"Jerk," Evelyn gasped when she felt the bottle hit her head and turned around to throw it back but Jeremy immediately drove away.

Evelyn rolled her eyes and brought out her phone as she walked towards Bonnie's front door. "Tyler can you please call me back? You can't just keep ignoring me." She sent him a voicemail and shoved the phone back in her bag.

Knocking on the door, Bonnie opened it for her and let her step inside. "Hey."

"What's up?" Evelyn asked.

"I found some journals that Grams kept and I was thinking maybe there could be something in one of them there about you?" Bonnie gestured to the boxes laid on her bedroom floor.

"Oh okay." Evelyn took off her jacket and picked up a journal from one of the boxes, opening it up and flickering through the pages. "This looks all gibberish to me."

"Are you ready to go through all this?" Bonnie asked as they both glanced down at the floor.

"I guess I am," Evelyn sighed as she sat down on the bed and Bonnie on the floor.

━━━━━━━━━━

"I'm so glad you called." Evelyn began whilst flipping through the pages, quiet music was playing in the room.

"I forgot Elena and Stefan were at home too and then I heard a noise and they were going at it like rabbits. I almost threw up," she cringed as she tried to forget what she heard.

"Well someone's lucky at least," Bonnie murmured.

She peered over her shoulder, gazing at Evelyn who was laughing and nodding to her words whilst reading the journal. She bit on her lower lip as she remembered the last time they were this close together in this room.

Sensing eyes on her, Evelyn looked up catching Bonnie staring at her who had quickly looked away. A blush crept on Evelyn's cheek as she shook her head.

There was only one thought running in their minds. What on earth just happened?

Yet the two couldn't resist and continued to steal glances at each other.

a few hours later

"Found anything yet?" Evelyn asked. She was now laying her head on Bonnie's lap who had been massaging her hair.

"Nope. Just about my bloodline. Let's swap." They exchanged the journals but there was still nothing they could find.

"This is pointless," Evelyn mumbled. "I'm bored." Bonnie only responsed with a hum and nod.

She was broken out of her thoughts when she felt a hand tickle under her chin. She looked down finding Evelyn laughing quietly. "Hi."

"Hey," Evelyn returned the smile back, taking her eyes off her as she looked around the room. "You still kept that?" She pointed to the frame resting on the nightstand.

It was of them when they were together. Cuddling each other and it had been one of the rare moments where the two were truly happy.

"Of course I kept it," Bonnie said. "One of my favourite memories of us."

"Yeah," Evelyn whispered, remembering that day all too well.

"I've missed this. Just us two spending hours alone with each other. No supernatural interference. Well for a couple of hours at least," Evelyn said.

"Me too," Bonnie admitted as she caressed Evelyn's cheek, her thumb slowly caressing her lips making them both stiffen slightly. "I'm sorry," she quickly moved her hand away.

Evelyn sat up, facing Bonnie. "It's okay."

"No, no. I shouldn't have done that. That was so inappropriate." Bonnie kept apologising.

"Bonnie, it's totally fine. You didn't commit a crime," Evelyn reassured her.

Bonnie slowly nodded and focused on reading the book. She looked back up as Evelyn gave her a warm smile. The room filled with silence and a lot of tension that had been unexpectedly building up tonight.

Evelyn hesitated for a second but reached out to tuck a strand of Bonnie's hair behind her ear. "It was in the way," Evelyn murmured shyly.

"Eve?"

"Yeah?"

"I just can't stop thinking about how much I really want to kiss you," Bonnie admitted.

"Oh?" That was Evelyn's only response.

Bonnie's hand then moved to the side of Evelyn's neck, moving her hair away and softly stroking the skin ever so gently. Evelyn's breath hitched, lips slightly apart, which caught Bonnie's attention as her eyes drifted down to her lips then back to Evelyn, biting her own lip.

"So can we?" Evelyn asked, her voice a mere whisper as she caressed Bonnie's cheek.

Just one innocent kiss. They both told themselves.

Bonnie nodded and it wasn't long before they both leaned closer slowly, meeting halfway in a passionate kiss. Evelyn pulled her closer, deepening the kiss as Bonnie wrapped her arms around her waist.

Evelyn moved to straddle her waist whilst Bonnie's hands tightened around her hips as Evelyn ran a hand through her hair, feeling the soft strands like silk.

"I think we should stop now," Bonnie mumbled against her lips, yet neither made the move.

"We should," Evelyn agreed as they continued to make out but this time with a slow, heated kiss.

"Eve, baby," Bonnie moaned, her hands squeezing her hips as Evelyn's lips now met her neck, sucking and lightly nipping on the skin.

She missed this so much.

"We should really stop before it gets out of hand," Bonnie said.

Evelyn pulled away, looking at Bonnie, their chests rapidly heaving. Clearing her throat, she nodded at her words. "You're right. I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me."

"It's not your fault. I shouldn't have said anything," Bonnie said, running a hand through her hair. "We can just forget this ever happened."

Evelyn climbed off her lap, sitting on her knees on the bed as she calmed herself down whilst Bonnie continued to stare her. Evelyn's eyes now met hers, licking her lips then biting on her lower lip.

They both knew this was wrong. They were ex lovers and that was where the line had to stop yet the need to touch each other was outweighing it.

"I should just go home," Evelyn said.

"Fuck it." Bonnie had enough and crashed her lips against Evelyn's catching her by surprise as she tangled her hand around the back of her hair and kept a firm grip on it, deepening the kiss whilst letting Evelyn once again straddle her waist.

The two pulled away from each other, breathing heavily and pressed their forehead against each other's when Evelyn bursted out into laughter and Bonnie soon joined in.

"Did that really just happen?" Evelyn touched her lips where Bonnie's were just seconds ago.

"I guess it did," Bonnie nodded. "I don't regret it," she confessed.

"Neither do I."

"So is this just for fun or?" Bonnie asked as she gathered up the courage to move her hands under Evelyn's dress, feeling the soft curves and dips of her skin.

"Whatever you want it to be," Evelyn nodded. "We're both sexually frustrated and– urgh I've missed kissing you," she stammered over her words and ran a hand over her face.

Bonnie blushed. "Me too," she said. "I just don't want you to hate me for–" She pointed between their current position.

"No. I could never hate you." Evelyn cupped her cheeks and gazed into her eyes lovingly. "Like you said just for fun, right?"

"Just for fun," Bonnie nodded.

She leaned forward to kiss her when Evelyn stopped her and she raised a brow. "What's wrong?"

"When we were together– the last time we were in this position this is as far as we went. I've never–" Evelyn shook her head, her face written with embarrassment.

Bonnie's eyes widened. "You and Tyler never?"

"We didn't do that." Evelyn winced at her words and buried her face in her hands. "I've totally ruined this. I'm such an idiot."

"Hey, it's okay. We don't have to do this if you're uncomfortable." Bonnie removed her hands away from her face.

"No it's not that. It's just I really want to do it this time," Evelyn whispered whilst grinding her hips against hers and Bonnie let out a low moan.

She wanted a little excitement in her life for once. She was tired of playing safe.

"Especially with you. Do you want to do this?" Evelyn asked. "Because we don't have to if you don't want to and here I go ruining things again." She cursed herself.

"I want to do this with you too," Bonnie nodded. "I'll teach you but if you feel uncomfortable then we'll stop, okay?" Evelyn nodded.

"I just wanted to let you know i'm clean," Evelyn said.

"Same," Bonnie nodded. "Can I kiss you now?" She asked. Evelyn giggled and nodded, pressing her lips against hers.

"Take off my dress," Evelyn demanded and Bonnie smirked. "Please?" She added softly.

Bonnie did what she was told, her hands doing the work to unzip and remove off her dress as she sucked in a breath glancing at Evelyn's chest. "You didn't wear a bra?"

The blush crept on Evelyn's cheek. "I did but then it was irritating me with this dress," she continued to ramble. "Oh my God!" A moan left her lips as she felt Bonnie kiss down on her neck, her collar bone and lastly her chest, taking a nipple in her mouth and playing with the sensitive flesh.

Evelyn quickly reached down for the hem of Bonnie's top, lifting it up and effortlessly unclipped her bra as Bonnie moved for a split second to help her out, removing all articles of clothing and throwing them across the room until the two had nothing on but their underwear.

She squealed when Bonnie flipped them over and climbed on top of her, leaving a trail of kisses down Evelyn's neck who moaned as soon as she found her sweet spot and felt Bonnie smile against her skin.

Bonnie moved back up, reaching out to move her hair back as she trailed a finger down her cheek then to her collarbone as she admired her. "You're beautiful."

Evelyn shyly smiled, lifting her head up to peck her lips. "So are you."

"Are you sure about this?" Bonnie asked again.

"Yes. I trust you," Evelyn nodded confidently.

Bonnie then let herself discover every part of Evelyn's body, letting her lips wander farther down. Evelyn moaned, her breathing heavy with anticipation when Bonnie removed her panties with her teeth playfully.

"Let me make you feel good," Bonnie whispered seductively.

"Oh wow. I can't believe this is happening," Evelyn murmured to herself.

She spread out Evelyn's legs, leaning them on her own shoulders. "You're so wet." Her fingers trailed down her clit then to spread open her pussy, teasing it and making Evelyn shudder a little.Β

Evelyn felt the ache between her thighs and pleaded Bonnie. "Keep your eyes on me," Bonnie demanded.

Evelyn kept her eyes on Bonnie as she licked up her slit, dragging her tongue through her wet lips. "You taste so good." She let out a raspy moan, and instantly wrapped her hand around her Bonnie's hair, bunching some of it up into a fist. "Do you like that?"

"I love it." Evelyn managed to say, closing her eyes and her breath hitched as she felt Bonne's tongue once more, gripping on to her thigh to keep it in place. "Please don't stop."

Circling her clit and sucking on it gently, Bonnie took her time to enjoy the feeling of having her close and feeling her own wetness grow at the sight and the sounds from Evelyn as she reached down with one hand to finger herself.

Arching her back and playing with her nipples, Evelyn felt more excitement with every moan and gasp, it felt too good to stop as Bonnie pressed her tongue more whilst continuing to pleasure herself too. "Bonnie," she whispered as she wiggled her hips against her face.

Bonnie's finger reached up to her clit, rubbing the nub and pinching it as Evelyn rolled her eyes from the immense pleasure she was giving her. "I think i'm going to–"

"Look at me," Bonnie said and Evelyn made eye contact with her, feeling her walls clench and close to reaching her climax.

And it wasn't too long before Evelyn gasped out, nearly screaming Bonnie's name out as she threw her head back when she came on her mouth, collapsing back onto the bed and panting heavily.

Bonnie licked her lips, climbing back up and hovering over Evelyn and brushing her hair back from her face. "Are you okay?"

"Mhm," Evelyn tiredly nodded and clasped her hand on the back of Bonnie's neck, bringing her down to kiss her.

"Can I do it to you?" Evelyn asked, and Bonnie bit on her lower lip, nodding.

Evelyn flipped her over and Bonnie laughed, placing her hands on her waist as Evelyn trailed a finger down Bonnie's clit and making her moan out in pleasure in return. She moved down slowly as she kissed every inch of her body.

The two continuing to enjoy this night full of pleasure and bliss.

Evelyn and Bonnie let out a laugh when they shared a look and continued to laugh more. "I can't believe we actually did that." Evelyn turned to her side to fully face Bonnie.

"This doesn't change anything between us?" Evelyn nervously asked.

"Eve, stop worrying about that. We both enjoyed ourselves?" She nodded at that. "Did I walk out on you or tell you to go home?" She shook her head.

"No. We cuddled," Evelyn murmured in a soft tone.

"Then there's no need to panic," Bonnie reassured her.

"Okay."

Bonnie then let her fingers trail down Evelyn's bare shoulder and Evelyn smiled in content, closing her eyes. "You were amazing by the way," Bonnie said.

The two were lost in their own world when Caroline opened the door. "Hey Bonnie, Elena told me Eve was here. She's not answering my calls. What the fuck?!" Caroline froze, standing still in her spot and her eyes widening as she took in the sight.

Bonnie and Evelyn's eyes widened too as they both clutched onto sheet against their chests and sat up. "Hey," Bonnie awkwardly waved and Evelyn hid her face behind Bonnie's back.

"Oh. My. God." Caroline drawled out. "Bonnie. Eve. Naked." She pointed between the two. "Sleepover?"

"Something like that." Evelyn soft voice spoke from behind Bonnie.

Caroline gulped trying to process the information. "I'll be waiting downstairs." She turned around almost hitting herself against the wall and quickly shut the door.

Bonnie and Evelyn shared a look and quietly laughed.

━━━━━━━━━━

"What? When? How many chapters did I miss?" Caroline paced around the room whilst Bonnie and Evelyn sat down on the sofa.

"Well–" Evelyn and Bonnie glanced at each other. "It just happened." They both shrugged.

"Are you both back together?" Caroline's eyes lit up.

"No." Evelyn and Bonnie shook their heads. Caroline frowned.

"Now i'm sad."

Bonnie laughed, shaking her head and Evelyn was too shy to say anything now.

"I'm going to make us something to eat," Bonnie told Evelyn.

They watched Bonnie leave towards the kitchen before Caroline turned to Evelyn with a proud grin. "Your first hookup!" She clapped her hands excitedly. "Congrats!"

Evelyn sunk down in her seat. "Caroline!"

Caroline took a seat next to her. "I've got to say I am so surprised that this happened."

"Me too."

"But the look on your face I can tell that it was an amazing one too." Evelyn didn't say anything and that made Caroline more excited. "How was it then?"

"I'm not telling you." Evelyn got up and ran to the kitchen, trying to cover her blush with her hands.

"Oh come on!"

━━━━━━━━━━

"Stop Care," Evelyn let out a quiet giggle when Caroline moved her hair to one side to take a look at the hickey Bonnie gave.

"Okay, okay." Caroline laughed.

Evelyn propped herself on the countertop as her, Caroline, Bonnie and Elena decided to have a girls night. Her and Elena still weren't talking but she still joined them due to Caroline's persistence and constant nagging.

"So are we having chinese or pizza?" Caroline asked.

"Both. I'm a foodie," Evelyn smiled as she swung her legs back and forth.

Caroline nodded with a smile of her own and grabbed her iPad out of her purse. "I will get it." She pressed the home button and sighed when a picture of her and Matt lit up the screen.

"You and Matt still on the outs?" Evelyn asked her and Caroline nodded. "I'm sorry, Care."

"You don't need to apologise," Caroline said.

"Well what you need is an Evie hug, come here," she said softly and Caroline turned around, embracing her best friend in a hug.

"We don't need boys or men." Evelyn rubbed her back and Caroline sighed, hugging her tightly.

Bonnie joined and took the iPad from Caroline. "I'll do it."

"Do you believe that Jonas is being sincere?" Elena asked as Bonnie began searching for food on the iPad. She set a bowl of pretzels on the counter next to Evelyn who immediately dug in.

"I don't know what to believe," Bonnie replied. "I think he's at a loss. He's not sure who to trust."

"Join the club," Evelyn said.

"Well, what are we going to do about this movie situation?" Caroline asked, changing the subject when everyone became silent. "What about The Notebook?"

"Oooh yes!" Evelyn agreed.

Elena laughed. "Caroline, how many times have you seen that movie?"

"That is so not the point." Both Caroline and Evelyn said and laughed.

Jenna came in and Evelyn smiled at her. "Hey Aunt J."

"Hi Eve. What's going on?"

"Girls' night," Elena told her, hopping up onto the stool next to the island.

Evelyn turned around and sat cross legged on the counter. "How are you doing?" She asked and Jenna looked at her.

"You heard about my fight with Ric," she muttered.

Elena nodded, a sympathetic smile on her lips. "He feels terrible."

"Is this some kind of disguised attempt to cheer me up?" Jenna asked.

"No." Elena shook her head. "No, this is about us girls' hanging out and you know, we'll be here if you happen to want to talk." Jenna nodded with a small smile on her face.

"Because I'm a winner when it comes to successful relationships," Caroline spoke up.

Jenna looked up at Caroline. "You too?"

"You have no idea," she sighed.

"That's why you should stay single like me," Evelyn sang. Bonnie looked at her, sending her a wink and making Evelyn hold in a laugh and blush.

"Okay, then." Jenna smiled and went over to dig through the fridge. "It's this whole Isobel thing. He's hiding something from me."

"To play devil's advocate, maybe there is a great reason why he's not telling you," Caroline told her. "Maybe he's just trying to protect you."

Jenna shook her head. "Well, that's not his call to make. I mean, I deserve the truth. Everybody does."

Evelyn gave a brief glance to Elena who glanced back at her too and sighed. Why wouldn't Evelyn understand that she was protecting her?

"Sometimes it's harder than that," Caroline said.

"Not if it's somebody you care about, it isn't," Jenna countered and they slightly grimaced. They were all hiding things from Jenna.

It was silent for a moment.

"You know what we need?" Evelyn broke the silence. "Dancing!" She exclaimed. "There is a band at the Grill."

"I'm in," Caroline said first.

"In," Bonnie agreed.

Jenna nodded. "In."

"In," Elena agreed.

"Yay." Evelyn hopped off the counter and grabbed the car keys. "I'm driving."

"You're a terrible driver," Jenna scoffed and Evelyn pouted.

"Fine." She threw the keys to Jenna.

"Still surprised they even let you pass," Caroline teased.

"Be quiet," Evelyn grumbled and Caroline pecked the side of her hair, wrapping an arm around her.

Evelyn held Bonnie's hand as she dragged her into the Grill with the others following behind. "Slow down, Eve." Bonnie laughed but Evelyn ignored her and squealed in excitement as she twirled in her hand and began to follow the beat of the music.

Jenna noticed Alaric coming in. "I need a drink," she muttered and moved towards the bar.

Evelyn watched her go, before turning back to the girls. "I'll say this again but being single is so much better. No fights."

Matt came through the crowd, asking customers about refills. "Hey, Matt." Caroline greeted, but he ignored her and kept going.

"That's rude Matt especially to my Care Bear," Evelyn scolded him.

Caroline sighed in frustration. "I deserve it. I'm still keeping so many secrets."

Elena looked from Alaric to Jenna and then back at Caroline. "Alaric's in the same boat with Jenna and maybe that's our mistake. We're trying to protect the people that we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway."

"I'm glad you noticed," Evelyn muttered under her breath and Elena rolled her eyes.

Evelyn really wanted to tell Jenna that Isobel was still roaming around freely but that was Alaric's decision to tell. She knew one way or another it will be spilt and Jenna would be so hurt. In that moment Evelyn hated herself.

Caroline stood thinking for a moment and took off her jacket, handing it to Evelyn. "Where are you going?" She asked.

They looked back at the stage as Caroline got up onto the stage. "Hey, everybody. Let's hear it for the band!" She said into the microphone and got cheers. "Weren't they awesome?" She waited for the applaud to fade.

"So there's this guy. And, uh, he told me to tell him how I feel about him. Like it's so easy. Um, you know, just 'cause I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about," she rambled nervously. "Ah, like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself," she paused for a moment. "I can sing! Yeah, yeah. You know what, I'm going to sing."

"Sing?" Elena asked skeptically, looking at the others.

"She can do it." Evelyn nodded confidently. "I believe in her."

"C'mon, off the stage." The lead singer stated to Caroline and the vampire turned to him. Evelyn knew she was compelling him and laughed.

The guy whispered back and Caroline nodded before saying something else. The lead singer went back and the band started to play, Eternal Flame by The Bangles.

Caroline took a steadying breath and met Evelyn's eyes who gave her an encouraging thumbs up, mouthing a 'you can do it.'

"She's good," Jenna said and Evelyn smiled widely.

"She's amazing." She nodded proudly.

When Caroline stopped, Matt hopped on stage and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Everyone cheered them on with Evelyn the biggest cheer of them all.

"That's my best friend!" She shouted sending Caroline a wink who blushed furiously.

Evelyn opened the bathroom door and immediately covered her eyes when she witnessed Matt and Caroline practically eating each other's face out.

"I'm scarred for life!" She shrieked.

"I'd say that's karma for what I saw earlier," Caroline teased but Evelyn already shut the door and scrambled away from the bathroom.

Bonnie headed to the bathroom but Evelyn stopped her. "I wouldn't. Caroline and Matt are having sexy time," she whispered.

"In the bathroom?!" Bonnie asked, surprised.

"Yes and I really need to pee." Evelyn giggled, bouncing on her toes. "But I can hold it. I think."

Bonnie eyes suddenly looked over Evelyn's shoulder. "I'll be back."

"Oh okay." Evelyn nodded, confused at what was going on when Bonnie immediately scurried away.

"So Caroline told me." She heard Elena speak besides her.

"Of course she would. She can never keep quiet," Evelyn said to herself, a laugh followed by it.

"So are you and Bonnie?" Elena asked.

"No," she mumbled, ready to walk past her but Elena refused to let her go away this time.

"Well whatever is going on between you two just know I will support whatever decision you make. I'll always be by your side," Elena told her.

Evelyn was about to respond back when all of a sudden the power went down.

"No one's getting out of here until I have her," Jonas told Bonnie as he looked around to search for Elena.

The young witch shook her head. "Don't do this. Please don't do this," she begged, but it didn't do any good. Jonas channeled his energy, bottles on the bar began to smash and soak everything. With another wave of his hand, the bar was set alight. Bonnie attempted to stop him, but Jonas pressed his fingers against her forehead. Bonnie collapsed behind the bar, unconscious. Satisfied that the girl was out for the moment, he went in search of Elena.

"Bonnie. No!" Evelyn gasped and ran towards her. She knelt down, checking her pulse and sighed in relief when she found one.

"Eve?" Caroline ran over to them.

"Take her home," Evelyn ordered her.

"Where are you going?" Caroline asked.

"Jonas did this. He wants to take Elena. I need to find her," Evelyn wasted no time and searched for her sister.

She saw Jonas, trailing behind Elena and ran towards him, gripping his wrist tightly when he felt his skin burning immensely, glancing down he saw a glow around her palm and her eyes flickering to purple with flecks of gold in them.

"Impossible," he muttered and winced in pain when he felt the amount of power she was possessing.

He raised his free hand up and gave her an aneurysm as she knelt down on the ground, screaming and fire suddenly surrounding her. Her breathing began to uneven out rapidly as she tried her best to call out for help. She raised a fist against her mouth and coughed.

She gasped, eyes widening when the same red hair figure was standing in front of her, reaching her hand out to Evelyn. "Please help me," she whimpered and tried to reach for it but kept failing as the woman eventually faded away.

With a blink of an eye, the fire around her disappeared and Evelyn looked down at her palms in shock at what just happened.

"Eve!" Stefan shouted her name and she glanced up, stumbling back on her feet. He rushed over to her before she could fall, carrying her in his arms as he helped her out of the Grill.

Evelyn took one last look over her shoulder and the woman appeared, sending her a warm smile.

Who was she?

━━━━━━━━━━

As soon as Evelyn arrived home, she ran inside and found Bonnie and Jeremy speaking to each other. "Bonnie?" She pulled the witch in a hug. "You're okay," she breathed out.

"EJ, are you okay?" Jeremy asked and Evelyn nodded. He brought her into his arms and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

"I need to speak to, Eve," Bonnie said as the siblings pulled away from the hug. Jeremy nodded and left the two to talk.

"Jonas gave me my powers back," Bonnie informed her.

"He did? Oh that's great news."

"He also said something else before he died," Bonnie whispered and Evelyn furrowed her brows in curiosity.

"He said you're very powerful. A power that hasn't been around for centuries." Evelyn bit her lip nervously, her face contorting to a frown.

"I saw the woman again. I think she was helping me. I put the fire out with my hands, Bonnie," Evelyn revealed. Bonnie shared a look that was held with confusion and curiosity.

Later that night, Jenna and Elena were sat in the kitchen talking when they heard a knock on the front door. "Who's that?" Jenna asked.

When she opened the door it was Isobel on the other side.

"Hi. You must be Jenna," Isobel said. Elena joined Jenna at the door and when she seen who it was, she gasped in shock. "I'm Evelyn's and Elena's birth mother." She looked at Elena.

"Isobel," Elena whispered and Jenna looked confused and shocked.

"What's going on?" Evelyn arrived at the bottom of the steps, her eyes widening and fixated at the person on the other side of the door. "Not this bitch," she mumbled.

In the city that never sleeps, a ruthless, powerful man entered the room, walking over to the table he picked up the decanter and poured himself whiskey into a crystal glass. Taking a sip of it, he glanced at the window that had been overlooking the city. Walking away, he sat down on a high stool with a canvas in front of him whilst watching the city's nightlight from the large window in his suite.

He glanced back at the canvas, picking up a paintbrush as he dabbed some colour on it and continued to paint.

His thoughts and attention drifted back to those soft, beautiful eyes that invaded his mind for many years. His soulmate.

A knock was heard and he beckoned them in. "Mr Mikaelson, I have some news." The feared man, named Jack spoke and slightly trembled.

"And that is?"

The man took a glance around the spacious room, briefly catching a glimpse of one painting in particular.

She was beautiful.

"Well?" He quickly looked away before he could get caught and to prevent himself from a death.

"The human doppelgΓ€nger has been found," Jack swallowed nervously.

He tensed for a moment, stopping what he was doing. "Where?"

"Mystic Falls."

"Mystic Falls huh?"

"Yes. Uh– there's– a–also something else we found," Jack stammered and he turned around with a raised eyebrow.

"And?" He asked.

Jack pointed towards one of the painting that stood out the most from the dull ones. "We found her too."

"Are you lying to me?" He gritted and suddenly he shoved the man against a wall, grabbing him by the throat. Many people had lied to him that they found her and he didn't take it lightly.

"No." Jack shook his head, trembling. "It's true she's in Mystic Falls."

He searched the man's eyes for any indication of a lie but there was none. "Fantastic," he smirked and let go of the vampire as Jack gasped for breath.

"Leave." He dismissed the vampire who scrambled away immediately and turned back, walking over to one of his paintings as he gazed at it with a fond smile.

It was time to finally meet his soulmate.
