After getting away from Brixton, they parked somewhere away from attention and Valerie had awaken just seconds before. Deckard popped open the door and Hattie instantly ran over to her side and helped her out, checking on her side that wasn't bleeding. "Okay, ride's over. Gotta lose this car." Deckard announced, making Val frown as she was the one to gift it to him.
"You're so lucky we have more cars." Valerie mumbled and walked over to the boys, her arm tangled with Hattie' who was keeping Valerie by her at all time. They all walked up to see, Hobbs and Deckard on the a news screen where they were targeted as wanted. "It just got real," Hobbs said, not going unnoticed by him that Valerie wasn't on the screen. Meaning Brixton wanted her alive and with Hattie as well.
"Who the hell are these guys?" Hattie asked.
"Eteon. A most secret tech cult. With a mercenary army and plenty of dark money. And delusions of saving the world by augmenting the human race." Deckard explained, Valerie not once taking her eyes off of her husband. "Apparently they control the media as well," Hattie commented.
Valerie wanted to keep Deckard out of it and away from Brixton. She felt it was her responsibility to put him down after Brixton used her to get Deckard onto his side. It was her fault Brixton got involved with Eteon, all because they originally wanted her, and when she declined, they went after Brixton. Knowing Brixton was someone Valerie cared for, he could be easily manipulated.
"I've heard rumors about these people. Everybody thinks they're a myth." Hobbs said, glancing over at Valerie and Hattie.
"We've seen first hand how real they are. If we don't fit to their plans... we already dug our own grave." Valerie said, holding her side in pain whilst her other arm wrapped around Hattie, since Hats refused to let her go.
"All right, let's get to the nearest lockdown facility." Hobbs said, making Valerie roll her eyes because Deckard and Hobbs were going to argue again.
"No, no, no. You don't get it, do you? Brixton's a tier one assassin. Best I've ever seen. Besides Val. I know him. He ain't never gonna stop. Till he gets that virus. And besides, that's my sister. Family business. Is your name Shaw? No. Then she's going nowhere with you." Deck argued further, Hattie and Valerie glanced at each other before rolling their eyes.
"When it comes to the fate of the world, it becomes my business. I don't care if she's your sister. That woman ain't going anywhere..." Hattie and Valerie had already been walking away during the arguing. Valerie bit down on her lip, still feeling sharp pain in her abdomen.
"Where are you going?" They both said in unison, Valerie and Hattie turned around, ready to scold the boys for being so immature.
"Where? We don't have time for alpha male shit right now. You're both idiots. You clearly can't work together. And so you're absolutely useless to us. So, we're gonna go find the man who can help us get this thing out of Hattie' system. And get me to a safe house so I can properly clean this wound on my stomach. See you." Val exclaimed, still holding her side as Deck glanced at her stomach, his eyes softening.
"You mean this man?" Hattie and Valerie turned around, walking over to see the picture on Hobbs phone. Deckard had taken Valerie from Hattie and held her gently as she easily relaxed at his touch. "I was tracking him before the attack. He's hard to find but I think I got a hell of a lead. Russian newspaper." Hobbs explained.
"Not just any old paper. There's only one place in London that sells that." Valerie said, looking up at the group, Deckard nodded at her, telling her they should take care of getting him so she could relax.

Valerie leaned against a table whilst they interrogated the man that made the virus. Hattie then showed him the three needle punctures in her hand that had looked purple and somewhat green.
"It's not programmed to any DNA sequence. It's fatal to everyone. In 42 hours, the capsules will dissolve and she'll be infected. Then the virus will go airborne. We are talking global contamination within a week." Valerie perked up from that explanation, "Why in the hell would you create something like that?"
"Because I thought I was one of them," the guy said, "Eteon." Deckard mumbled and Valerie placed a kiss to his cheek, comforting him slightly but he was still trying to figure out how she wasn't surprised by Brixton being alive.
"They told me they wanted to save the world through science. I believed in their cause.
I developed the Snowflake to be a carrier for vaccines... a panacea for the whole world... but they redeveloped it into a programmable apocalypse to attack the weakest of us. Those not worthy of Eteon's vision of the future." The scientist, explained, making Valerie frown from his stupidity.
"For a scientist, you seem incredibly stupid," Valerie commented, groaning in pain when she tried to lift herself onto the table, which made Deckard walk over and lift her up on it. She smiled and placed a kiss onto his lips.
"Well, I'm a two-times Nobel Prize winner but who's counting?" The scientist, said sarcastically, Valerie rolling her eyes in annoyance.
"Right, you said the virus was programmable. So, reprogram it."
"I can't reprogram it in a host," He explained.
"Just tell us how to get this thing out from me." Hattie complained, glancing at Valerie to make sure she was okay. "Well, there are two options. And the first is easy." The man said, making Deckard and Hobbs walk up expectingly.
"Go."
"Finally," Hobbs said.
"You kill her." The man said, quite optimistically if Val said so herself. "Excuse me?" said Valerie as she held onto her phone, sending Locke a quick text about her safety.
"Oh, and burn the body, of course."
"Of course." Hattie said sarcastically, Hobbs rolling his eyes in his reply. "No, I mean, really burn it." He said, "Really burn it?" Deck asked sarcastically. "To ash."
"To ash?"
"Beyond all recognition."
"Let's assume that's not an option, shall we, genius?" Deck said, and Hobbs nodded in agreement, taking quite a liking to Hattie Shaw. "Yeah, doesn't work for us. Option number two?" Hobbs asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"There is a machine that can preserve her life and extract the virus." Valerie groaned, thinking he should've explained that option first. "Well, that should've been option number one."
"Because it's impossible to get to."
"We'll decide what's impossible. Where is it?" Deckard asked, and Valerie looked up from his answer, "It's in the Eteon laboratory where the Snowflake was developed. A secret dark tech complex fortified by an army in the most God-forsaken part of the planet. But if you go there, all four of you will die."
"So, basically what you're saying is she dies no matter what."
"Well, who needs a drink?" Hattie asked and Valerie raised her hand in reply. "I know just the place." Deckard said, and walked over to Valerie, placing his hands on her thighs, and gently picking her up off the table. She sent a closed lipped smile and put her phone in his pocket for him to hold onto so she wouldn't lose it.
