EPILOGUE:
ASCENDIT INDE SUPERIUS

WHEN SHE FINALLY CAME DOWN Steve had never been so happy to see the Angel in his life. He had been quick to inform her that Bucky was alive and that he was currently trying to keep him from being killed. Although Celeste had been forbidden from joining on any fighting, she had been there at the end. When she saw the jet about to land in Wakanda her stomach did summer saults. She couldn't help but look at the Wakandan Queen with a smile on her lips as she made herself wait inside. Shuri showed her the room where Bucky would be and she hid herself as she waited for him.

When she saw him tears immediately came to her eyes. His metal arms was missing and his hair was much longer than when she had last seen him. But to be fair the last time she had seen him was over fifty years ago. She watched as Steve talked to him and she felt her heart ache when Bucky told Steve that he couldn't trust his own mind. She knew he was doing this to get rid of what HYDRA had done to him, and she could only pray that worked.

     Steve spotted Celeste in the corner of the room, his eyes meeting hers before he looked back at Bucky and a smirk pulled at his lips. "I think there's someone here to see you."

     Bucky furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Who?" Steve said nothing and instead Bucky followed his eyes sight, turning around and searching for a moment before he spotted her. The world stopped. Time froze. His breath hitched in his throat. If there was one thing that HYDRA could never erase from his mind, it was those pretty blue eyes. He found himself standing up, watching the beautiful silhouette make her way over to him.

     For a moment, Celeste didn't think he remembered her. "Bucky?" And when she said his name and that recognition flashed in his eyes she couldn't help but smile.

     "Celeste?"

    "You remember me," she let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding. She walked closer to him, scared to touch him. "You made it out alive," she whispered. Her voice was soft and delicate, just as he always remember it being.

     "And you lived." Bucky replied. "How are you. . ."

     "I'm an Angel, sweetheart, we don't really age unless we wish to do so." Celeste answered him. "I'm sorry I didn't come back. Father wouldn't let me leave."

     "Good. I'm glad he didn't let you." Bucky nodded. "Celeste. . ."

     "I know." Celeste nodded and she smiled at him, that breathtaking smile he always loved. "I love you, Bucky." She reached forwards and grabbed his hand, giving it a small squeeze. "I'll be here when you wake."

     "I love you too, Angel." Bucky softly replied.

     Celeste smiled before leaning forwards and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Till the end of time."

     "Till the end of time," Bucky promised. Celeste took a step back and stood there beside Steve as they put Bucky into a cryo chamber.

     "This will help?" She questioned.

     "It will." Steve promised.

     "Listen, I'll be here for when he wakes up. I can't stay down here. I'm still on probation. But I'll check in every month." Celeste turned away from the chamber and handed Steve a device. "When you need me, I want you to press this button and I'll come immediately. Emergencies only."

     "Of course." Steve nodded. The two then exchanged a hug. "It was good seeing you again, Celeste."

     Celeste smiled. "You too, Steve." Her ear started ringing and she pointed up. "I'm getting a call to come home. I'll see you soon, Steve."

     "Soon." Steve nodded before watching the girl disappear, not knowing that the next time he saw her they would all be facing a greater evil than they've ever faced before.

IT'S FINISHED! After months of going through writer's block and having life punch me in the face, I finally was able to sit down and finish this book. I have to say that this is one of my favorite books in the series to be honest. I just love Celeste's character and I absolutely love her and Bucky. The trauma that this poor girl goes through, it's so rough.

I was going to write Civil War, but I really didn't want to stretch this book out more than it needed to be so I just decided to end the epilogue with the end of Civil War that was you could see the two lovebirds one more time before all hell breaks loose!

I really have to say that I enjoyed the idea of incorporating God, Angels, and Heaven into this story, I really am proud of myself for this plot tbh.
