sooo i used acrylics to paint a gift for my dad, here's the process and how it turned out! i don't paint a lot, so i'm basically figuring it out as i go.

this is my reference, it's Denali, the tallest mountain in Alaska and the tallest in the United States. I chose it because my dad reallyyy wants to climb it someday. 

so here are my base layers. The gray color was a very watery mix that i did as a base, and the blue is the sky.

here's where i've outlined the main mountain in white, because that's the main color for the mountain.

i was watching a movie while doing this, so i forgot to take pictures for a bit. Here i did clouds, shadows on the mountain, and painted the grey little hills that sit in front of the mountain.

the finished product, after adding shadows and green plants! i like it, i hope you guys do too!
