MEREDITH truly hopes that Wednesday appreciates having her as a friend because she was currently stuck underneath Xavier's bed. She was searching for this purple book that she had seen in Wednesdays vision, Thing helping her while Xavier was showering. But her searching came to a halt as she swept through his drawing book, seeing drawing after drawing of her. Her eyes widen in awe from how realistic each drawing looked, to her hair color all the way to her eyes. She quickly gets back to her tasks when she hears Xavier clearing his throat, still in the shower.

She hurriedly turns the lights off, bringing out the UV light, looking around Rowan's bed before she sees the wood panels beneath the bed was open. She reaches below his bed and pulls open the wood panels to come in contact with a mask from a secret society. Meredith hums and stuffs it into her backpack, eyes widening when there was a knock on the door as soon as Xavier stepped foot out of the shower. She quickly dives underneath his bed look up to see Bianca on the other side of the door. Xavier purses his lips, water dripping down onto the wooden panels as he quickly pulls Bianca into the room with a deep sigh.

"You're not supposed to be up here" He shakes his head, oblivious to Meredith who was watching the whole thing, wishing she had a bag of popcorn for the show that was about to go down.

"Good to see you too" Bianca smiles up at the tall boy while Xavier shakes his head "How'd did you even get up here? Use your siren powers?" He retaliates. Meredith purses her lips, subconsciously high fiving Xavier for that burn

"You know I can't use my powers with this. Would it kill you to not think the worst of me for once?" Bianca frowns, fidgeting with the necklace on her neck

"What do you want " Xavier frowns

"Just to check up on you. I know how close you and Rowan were before he left" Bianca seems genuine causing Meredith to become shocked, the girl was hostile towards her no matter what she did. "Since when did you ever give a damn about Rowan" Xavier defends watching Bianca walk around

"Well, you were the one that was worried he would do something to Meredith and Wednesday. Isn't that why you've been staring after Meredith with those sad puppy eyes and trying to befriend Wednesday any chance you can?" Bianca asks, crossing her arms over chest beginning to feel a little vulnerable. Meredith begins to fidget; she couldn't stay still or quite for a long period of time, and she was beginning to feel the uncomfortable tension rise in the room. She sighs quietly hoping this conversation will end quickly so she can leave this place and report back to Wednesday.

"Seriously, what do you see in her?" Meredith watches as Xavier walks up to his desk, closing his drawing book that she was flipping through.

"You suddenly have a thing for red-heads with an erratic personality?" Bianca insults Meredith who was tempted to correct her

"It's actually strawberry blonde" Xavier corrects her, turning away from the drawing book he closed to look down at Bianca who rolled her eyes "And maybe because she hasn't tried to manipulate me, maybe because she's honest and blunt no matter who she's talking to..." Xavier bites back, leaning against the chair, his fiery gaze meeting Biancas.

"I made one mistake, and you can't forgive me. She ignores you for Noah Harte and you can't get enough" Bianca states, beginning to become frustrated. Xaviers jaw clenches at the mention of Noah, shaking his head before speaking "Why are you so fixated on Meredith?"

"Because she thinks she's better than everyone else just like Wednesday. She's holds her nose up against everyone just because she's a Carter, practically flaunted her name" Bianca raises her voice ignorant to the anger that was beginning to brew underneath Xavier's bed.

"I truly can't wait to crush Ophelia Hall tomorrow and watch her werewolf friend crumble" Bianca smirks, moving beside Xavier who doesn't spare her a glance. "It's gonna be a Poe cup finale to remember"

"I hate to think of what you've planned" Xavier replies while Bianca shrugs her shoulders "My plans are already in motion. I like to win, there's nothing wrong with that" she smirks. Meredith turns to look at Thing, her eye twitching in annoyance, two can play at this game and she wasn't nicknamed 'the snake' for no reason. Meredith huffs, going back to eavesdropping

"And you wonder why I broke up with you" Xavier rolls his eyes. "You used to love my killer instinct" Bianca flirts causing Meredith to mimic gagging, watching as Bianca grabs Xavier hand, leaning up agaisnt the tall boy.

"We were good together, Xavier. Don't let some red-head get in the way of that" Bianca smiles watching Xavier glare at her "Her hair is actually strawberry - blonde " he bites back, Meredith nodding her head along. "And we're we? Or Is that just how you wanted me to feel?" Xavier sighs. Meredith looks towards Thing, shaking her head while mouthing ' they seriously need some therapy'. It seems those words were the final hit towards Bianca's self-esteem as she backs away with a clenched jaw.

"Trust me, Meredith Carter, is not the girl of your dreams. She's the stuff in your nightmares, the poison that slowly kills you" Bianca states, leaving the room while Xavier watched her with furrowed eyebrows. Meredith shakes her head, turning towards Thing and nodding her head that it was time for them to leave. She quickly makes her escape when Xavier turns around to walk back into the bathroom, leaving the room and into the cold night.

WHEN Meredith entered Wednesday and Enid's shared room, she was not expecting a bawling Enid and an uncomfortable Wednesday who didn't know how to comfort others. Meredith gasps when Enid suddenly turns to her, engulfing her in a tight hug, tears staining her sweater.

"She is supposedly having a heart attack, but I have found no symptoms of a heart attack" Wednesday states, taking Thing.

"Yoko's in the infirmary and Kali has been sentenced to three days in pass!" Enid weeps at the loss of two of her teammates. "What happened?" Meredith asks, having a feeling that this was all Bianca's doing.

"Yoko had a garlic bread incident at lunch today and Kali was seen in the boy's dormitory with her boyfriend. They're both out of the Poe cup competition!" Enid begins to pace back and forth, pulling at her hair.

"It wasn't an accident; this was all Bianca's doing" Meredith glares, a fire burning in her chest, making eye contact with Wednesday before looking towards Enid. "Me and Wednesday are going to help you take her down tomorrow" Meredith clenches her jaw, determination burning in her eyes.

"Wait. You two are joining the Black Cats?" Enid stops pacing, facing the two girls, twisting her hands "You're willing to do that for me?" Enid glances between the two girls

"I want to humiliate and break Bianca down so bad that the taste of bitter defeat is burned into the back of her throat for the rest of her life and her family lineage" Meredith's snarls watching as Wednesday shakes her head in retaliation. "I truly do not wish to participate in this, I would much rather chop off all of my fingers" Wednesday states but Meredith was quick to bite back "You can do that after we win the competition. We need your help to get back at Bianca, maybe add some stabbing" Meredith begins to use Wednesday's favorite words causing Wednesday to purse her lips, begrudgingly agreeing.

"Yeah, but you guys are doing this mostly because we're friends, right?" Enid's bottom lip begins to wobble

"Of course!" Meredith exclaims while Wednesday quickly assesses their chances of winning. "Tell me how she keep's winning" Wednesday asks

"It's a real brain cramp. The past two years, no other boat has made it across and back without sinking" Enid shrugs. "Sounds like sabotage" Wednesday states, Meredith nodding along with a smirk on her face "Something I'm quite good at".

"Well, there are no rules in the Poe cup competition" Enid pipes in watching as Meredith's eyes glow in excitement, "Even better, more chances for more hand on experiments" She winks

"Shes also a siren practically making her master of the water" Enid sighs, beginning to pace. "Then we just need to beat her at her own game" Wednesday turns to Enid, looking towards Meredith's who nods her head.

"Don't worry Enid, all we've got to do is get her out of her element, if you know what I mean" Meredith smirks, her eyes glowing red as fire erupts from her hands.

Enid watches with wide eyes looking towards Wednesday who glares back at her

"We're in it to win it, no matter what" Wednesday states

"Oh boy" Enid sighs, chewing at her nails in worry

MEREDITH sat next to Enid watching Wednesday pass Bianca who smirked back at them. Oh, the rude awakening she was about to have.

"We're all set" Enid smiles

"Good, Thing's in position and Meredith has her plans set" Wednesday states turning to the strawberry blonde who nods her head

"Wanna tell me what you three are planning?" Enid curiously asks while Meredith threw her arms around her and Wednesday, smirking towards the blonde.

"And spoil the Suprise? never. All you need to know is that me and Wednesday do not lose" A mischievous smirk spreading across Meredith's face, Wednesday nodding along in agreement.

"Speaking of surprises both of your costumes are in the tent!" Enid exclaims, a weary smile spreading across Merediths face while Wednesday purses her lips "Costume?" her eyes widen slightly

"Oh, I didn't know costumes were necessary" Meredith smiles, giving Wednesday a comforting pat on the arm as Enid leads them to a large purple tent, throwing them in there to change.

Wednesday was the first to walk out with her frown a little deeper than normal with an excited Meredith next to her. Meredith had decided to go all out and added the same face paint as the rest of the Black Cats while Wednesday opted to go without it. Enid squeals in excitement at the sight of them quickly walking up to them.

"OMG, you guys look purr-fect" She smiles, throwing compliment after complimenting out at the two girls.

"Oh, but Wednesday you're missing your whiskers" Enid frowns. "Ask again and you'll be down to eight lives" Wednesday snarls, Meredith leaning towards Enid "She gets a little fiery during times like these" she whispers as Enid nods her head slowly, leading the two to the dock where they loaded into the boat.

Meredith sat behind Wednesday, close to the back and beside both Xavier and Bianca. Meredith glances over towards the Jesters, looking towards Xavier who was already staring at her, continuing to stare despite being caught by her. Her eyebrow raises, sending him a charming wink, watching as he shakes his head, a smile growing on his face. Meredith looks towards Bianca who rolled her eyes "What do we have here? The runt of the litter" She smirks

"For the record, I don't think that I'm better than everyone else just that I'm better than you, even without my last name" Meredith snarls, Bianca pursing her lips and looks forward. Xavier chuckles at the interaction, shaking his head.

"Hello, I want to welcome you all to the Edgar Allen Poe cup. This is one of Nevermore's proudest annual traditions, dating back to 125 years ago" Principal Weems speaks

"Each team must row across to Raven Island, pull a flag from Crackstone's crypt, and hustle back without sinking or being sunked. First team to make it back with their flags, wins the Poe Cup and bragging rights for the rest of the year!" She exclaims

"Let the Poe Cup begin" She shoots the gun, the crowd beginning to cheer as the team rows off. Meredith rows as fast as she could watching the Jester's pass them, "Oh, excuse us" Xavier smirks, passing them.

Meredith glances over to see the other team gaining on them, quickly dodging the battleaxes that was swinging towards them. They continue to row, ignoring how the other team's boat was being push to the side, malicious chuckling behind them. Meredith huffs catching sight of Kent, another siren, beneath the water.

"Thing" Wednesday calls, the hand lifting the lever and sending a net to capture Kent. They quickly reach the other side of the island, the Jesters already there in front of them. Meredith jumps off of the boat along with Wednesday, Enid going to follow them, but Meredith shakes her head. "You stay here and make sure Bianca can't sabotage our boat; we'll be back with the flag" Meredith smiles, running after Wednesday as they gained on both Ajax and Xavier.

"Come on man, they're right there" Ajax points towards Wednesday and Meredith who run towards their flag

"Later, Meredith!" Xavier runs past the strawberry blonde who glances back at him, nodding her head towards Wednesday who goes to grab the flag but as she touched the flag, her body tensed up and she seemed like she was being electrocuted, falling to the ground. Meredith groans "Oh no, Wednesday this is seriously not the time!" Meredith whines, her head snapping up at the nearing footsteps that belonged to Bianca. She smirks down at the sight of Wednesday and arches an eyebrow towards Meredith.

"Taking a catnap?" She laughs running away as soon as Wednesday woke up

"Come on Wednesday! We seriously need to go" Meredith shouts, helping the girl to her feet and running back towards the boat where Enid hurried them back on to the boat, gaining on the jester's who were frantically trying to get water out of the sinking boat. Enid laughs at their frantic attempt to stay afloat, sending a wink towards Meredith.

"See ya, jokers" Meredith shouts watching as Xavier fall back into the boat in defeat

"You cheaters!" He shouts after them causing Enid to shrug

"I just asked myself 'WWMD'? what would Meredith do?" Enid shrugs, Meredith laughing and patting her shoulders "I've taught you well" She smirks

They were quickly gaining on the sirens, Wednesday bending down to push the final leverage causing the sharp gunnels to come out on the side. They begin to row closer to the sirens before a powerful force was pushing the boat away from the smirking sirens. Meredith nods towards Thing who jumps into the water to handle Kent while Meredith puts her hand in the water, speaking beneath her breath and watching as ice begins to surround the sirens, completely freezing them in place. Bianca yells in frustration, throwing her oar down and glaring them down as they pass by, Meredith giggling at the sight.

The crowd begins to cheer louder and louder as they approach, quickly climbing onto the dock and crossing the finish line, throwing their flag up in victory. Enid and Meredith jump up in excitement while Wednesday nodded, Thing on her shoulder.

"We did it! My lifelong dream being complete!" Enid screams, the crowd surrounding them and congratulating them on their victory. Meredith smiles widely, fist bumping Wednesday and watching as Bianca slips on the dock, sending a wink towards her.

Suddenly Meredith was picked up, her eyes widening in shock and her body tensing up before she realized who it was, getting a waft of that familiar cologne. "Congratulations Mere!" Noah exclaims, twisting her around before setting her back down on the ground, ruffling her hair.

"Thank you, Noah" She smiles widely, fixing her hair before she felt a glare at the back of her neck. Meredith glances behind her to see Xavier glaring at her, shaking his head before he stomped away. Meredith shrugs her shoulders; she was guessing he was still salty after the loss.

"Come on, they're gonna announce your winning!" Noah smiles, dragging both her and Wednesday back to the school, laughing at the murderous glare that Wednesday was giving him.

Oh, the secrets they'll discover after....
