𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦, 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦

"Alright, guys! Another great tour, everybody's in one piece and I say that calls for a beer!" Ross announced as we walked from our transport with our seabags in hand

"As much as I'd love to I have to see the misses," Houston said referring to his pregnant wife

"Yeah, and he has to go see his misses as well, no need to let a wife kill you when you're just getting back from the war zone." Banks then said causing me to laugh before they all ran off to their families who stood right ahead of us

"We will meet tomorrow you all! And drink our asses off as America welcomes their frogmen and frogwoman back home!" Banks cheered causing me to laugh shaking my head

"Great job Lieutenants!" Boone then said shaking my hand as he walked off leaving me and Colton by ourselves

"You got any family on their way?" Colton then asked me

"No, they're in Colorado. What about you?" I asked while turning toward him

"My mother is deceased and my Father lives way outside of these city limits." He replied

"Sorry for your lost." I then said causing him to nod, "It's alright, uh, do you need a ride?" He then asked causing me to laugh

"Sure, you know any good hotels around this area?" I asked as we began to walk toward the parking lot

"A hotel?" He asked now laughing

"Yeah, the next tour is in 2 weeks and I haven't exactly had the time to house hunt or car shop since I was stationed here," I answered as we continued walking

"Well, I'm not going to let you spend a bunch of money at a hotel if you want you can stay at my place and I'll sleep on my couch and I can talk to the guy over the apartments to see whether you'd like one." He suggested

"I'm going to agree to that solely because I am tired. Thank you." I groaned

"No problem." He replied

"No. You've got to be kidding me?!" I yelped as he stopped in front of a motorcycle

"There's no way I am getting on that damn thing!" I said

"Well, Lieutenant, this is your ride," Colton replied while laughing causing me to pout to myself

"Listen, I won't drive fast." He said causing me to send him daring eyes

"Okay, and how do you suggest we carry two adults and two of these seabags on this thing!?" I nagged as he grabbed my sea bag placing it and his on this tray on the back before tying them down

"Aright, Lieutenant, any more questions?" He then asked

"Helmet?" I asked

"Don't have 'em." He replied

"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph," I said to myself before placing my hand on my chest

"Anyone ever tell you, you're slightly extra?" He asked causing me to roll my eyes

"How do I get on?" I asked, ignoring his other question as he got on the bike and said "Like that."

I then took a deep breath before slipping on the back of the bike, "Alright? Where's the seatbelt?"

Laughing Colton did nothing but shake his head, "Motorcycles don't have seatbelts." He answered causing my eyes to go wide

"What!?"

As the motorcycle came to a stop I finally gained the courage to open my eyes seeing we were inside a garage.

"Alright, you can stop death gripping my waist now," Colton said causing me to let go while apologizing

"It's fine." He replied while getting off of the bike and helping me after before getting our bags

"I got it." I implied as he held my bag

"It's fine." He replied using his key to open the door to his apartment, "You mind dogs?" He then asked

"Not at all," I replied as a big and fluffy german shepherd ran around the corner

"Max! Hey, buddy!" Colton beamed as he bent down petting the dog that looked at me with a small smile

"Yeah, we have a little guest." He said continuing to pet Max

"Dinah, Max, Max, Dinah." He said introducing us as Max came over sniffing me

"Hey, cutie." I cooed beginning to rub the dog's soft head as he began to lick my face causing me to laugh

"He likes you. Usually, he's a lot calmer meeting new people." Colton said while leaning against his kitchen island

"No, I can't believe it! This guy?" I asked sitting down as Max rolled over so I could rub his stomach

"Yeah, that guy." Colton rebutted walking away causing me to stop petting Max and stand up seeing a Memorial flag on a table backed against a wall

I walked over and saw a picture of Colton and the platoon smiling then I noticed another face I'd never seen with the guys.

I then looked at a small case sitting in front of it noticing it contained two medals; a Purple Heart and a Medal of Honor, two of the highest honors of the Military.

"Hey, Andrews?!" I called as I began walking the way he went a few minutes back seeing the door to his bedroom was open

"Yes?" He answered walking from his closet in nothing but his uniform bottoms causing me to look at his defined chest and abdomen one time before saying, "Sorry, I'll wait."

"Calm down church girl I'm not naked." He said beginning to laugh

"It's still fine, I can wait," I said with a small smile before walking out

It wasn't the fact that I'd never seen a male's body before, but standing in that room with Colton like that was just leading my mind to sin.

We had definitely grown from hating each other but that still didn't make it appropriate. We were just friends.

Andrews was gorgeous needless to say and even if he were to look my way, there are two big problems, with us being on the same Seal team the higher-ups would have a mouth full to say and he doesn't respect my religion.

A/N: How do you guys like the chapter? This story is a bit fast-paced because the military is as well, lmao! And I do not want to spend a lot of time dragging Dinah and Colton's deployments together.
