THREE DAYS LATER

   Serena had a coffee in her hand, her phone was seen to be immediately buzzing, it was Mei Kayoko. She had clicked answer, and just clicking the up button on the elevator, so she can go back her boyfriends hospital room.

   Serena answering to the person on the line that was with her, "Hello, Mrs. Kayoko." She had softly said.

Mrs. Kayoko who had lightly chuckled, "You know that you can just call me, Mei. . ." She was simply just going through baby photos of her daughter, Anika, "I'm just calling to let you know that her funeral is already in two days, if you aren't still in the hospital, otherwise there is no rush, you can always visit here." She still found it difficult to say that her daughter will be buried in a grave in two days.

Serena who was just already inside the elevator as it was leading her to the floor of her boyfriend's, "I'll be there, uhm is it okay if I were to bring my boyfriend with, and Mindy, Sam and Tara?" She had slowly asked her, 'cause she didn't want to show up with people that they didn't really know, but Mei did know about Mindy.

Mei who let a soft smile appear on her face at the mention of Mindy's name, Anika would be on the phone with her always rambling on how she had met a girl, "Any friend of Anika and yours are always welcomed here, Serena." She gently told her, "No matter what, Serena. You will always have a home here with us, and can visit whenever you please." A tear had strolled down her eye, sniffling.

Serena who had felt her cheeks getting hot, 'cause this was making her so much emotional from the conversation, "Thank you, Mei. I'll see you tomorrow, and I'm still so sorry." Her lips had trembled.

She was walking towards her boyfriends hospital room, and just standing behind the door.

Mei who had exhaled her breath, slowly speaking to her, "See you tomorrow, Serena. Please, don't blame yourself. Please, stay safe and just check in with us every so often." She lightly said before hanging up the phone.

   Serena wiped a tear that was rolling down her cheek with her hand, a sniffle escaping as she had opened her boyfriends hospital room door, she had seen him attempting to get up on his own, "Chad! Dude, you just got stitches and are attempting to get up on your own." She had easily placed her coffee on the nearest counter, and approaching her boyfriend.

   Worrisome was written all over her face.

   His hands were placed on the bed, slightly grunting in pain, "But, I really needed to pee." He whined in protest, Serena playfully rolling her eyes, and wrapped arm around his waist.

   "I'll help you," She told him.

   Chad nodding his head before he found it hilarious to ask her something, "You wanna hold my dick too?" He grinned at her.

   "CHAD!? Not right now."

   Chad who lightly chuckled as they continued their way towards the bathroom, "You didn't say no, so I'll keep my hopes up." He grunted out as he was still in major pain.

   A little while later, he was already back into his hospital bed, as he was being discharged from the hospital soon. Serena had just about ordered two flight tickets back to her house, as the other three had booked their own flights to Chicago, Illinois. She just remained in some deep thought.

   Chad noticed her in a trance, "You okay, baby?" He worriedly asked her, yet had slightly cringed since they both didn't really like using nicknames like that, but it slipped.

   Serena who glanced at him, "It's just that, uhm Ethan said something. . ." She had slowly began speaking, "He said that you kissed Tara? Did you kiss her?" She felt her eyes already getting watery, "Because if that's true, Chad. I'll walk out this door, right now and won't ever contact you, or anyone again." Her voice had slightly cracked.

   Chad who easily sat himself up, grunting in pain, "Serena, I never kissed her." He simply reassured his girlfriend, "I would never do that to you, but she did say something. . ." He had slowly began speaking to her.

   Her heart dropped.

   "Wh— what did she say?" Her fingers were wiping her own tears, and Chad just wish her could wipe them for her, but he could hardly move his body and his heart hurt watching her tear up.

   Chad who just maintained eye contact with her and remaining truthful to her because he just wanted to have a secure relationship with Serena, "She admitted into having feelings for me since Woodsboro and leading all the way to New York," Her heart had dropped, how can Tara do this to her? admit romantic feelings to her boyfriend, "Do you like her?" Serena had
felt her lips tremble in fear of what his possible answer can be.

Chad who had grunted in pain, sitting himself up more and pushing the exact button that just makes him sit up more, "Come here." He gently told her.

She slowly stood up and approached him, he brought his fingers toward her face and wiping her tears, "Can you just lean your head a little bit closer." He slowly told her in which she had managed to do, "What are you doing?" She had whispered to him.

He had caressed her cheek with his fingers, eyes glancing at her brown eyes before glancing back at her lips, "You're so beautiful, you know that?" He had looked back at her eyes before leaning his head close to her lips, "And, I love you endlessly." He had caressed her cheeks with his fingers.

Before she realized it, he had ultimately pulled her into a kiss, that had allowed her to melt into the kiss. He was able to taste her salty tears, as he also intertwined his fingers onto her hair. She had managed to wrap her hands onto his cheek, as they pulled apart from the kiss.

Her forehead was pressed against his, "I love you endlessly. . ." The two who were just left panting and catching their breath, "But, I can really use another kiss?" She grinned at him.

"I'll gladly give you the plenty of kisses that you ask for, baby." He had retorted back, a grin on his face was plastered after he had said that nickname 'cause it was cringy to them.

TWO DAYS LATER
Chicago, Illinois

    It was the end of her best-friends memorial service and to say that it was an emotional day for her, but she was just beyond grateful that her boyfriend, Chad alongside Mindy and the carpenter sisters showed up, despite her now rocky relationship with her friend Tara, and everyone can sense the tension at times.

Mei had slowly approached Serena and pulling her into a hug before pulling away from the hug, "I'm so glad you came tonight, all of you thank you." She smiled at all of them in the room before her eyes drifted back to Serena, "I have something for you." She dug inside of her pocket.

The friendship bracelet that Anika had never taken off, she felt her eyes getting watery from just looking it, 'cause last time she had seen it on her was from that night.

   Serena shook her head, "I shouldn't."

   Mei who had gently grabbed Serena's hand, eyes softening at her, "She'd want you to have it, it was her lucky bracelet. . ." She softly told her, "Carry that good luck." She had placed the bracelet on the palm of her hand before going to bid goodbyes to people who were leaving since the memorial was already over.

   Chad approached his girlfriend, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissing her forehead.

   Serena felt her own lips quiver, "I miss her, so much." She had sadly said to him. God, how will she ever do life without her bestfriend, she loved these three girls, but they weren't Anika.

   No one could ever replace her friends spot.

   Chad whispering against her ear, "I know, I know. . . Anika, will always be here." He placed his hand onto her heart, "She's always going to be there." He reassured her.

   She sniffled, nodding her own head.

   She pulled away from him, and glancing at all the friends, "There was this spot where Anika and I would sit in and blast music. . ." She was simply telling them all, "Can we go do that just one last time for her?" Her eyes were getting watery when she told them this.

   Blasting music at there hidden spot was something that they would do on occasionally, especially on those hot summer nights. They'd blast music and just dance for a couple hours until they would get exhausted.

   All nodding their head, "Yeah we can."

"I'm gonna get my jacket, you can all wait for me outside, I'll be quick.."

Serena had went by the plenty of jackets not knowing that Tara was right behind her until she had turned around, "Shit Tara!" Serena had screeched.

Tara bit her bottom lip, "Can we talk?"

Serena who had sighed slipping on her jacket glancing back at Tara, "About you confessing your love to my boyfriend?" She didn't have time for this

Tara who bit her own bottom lip, anxiously, "I'm really sorry, Serena. I didn't mean to, it just came out. . ." She had said back to her one of her friends, "Can we just go back to how our friendship used to be?" She pleaded her friend.

Serena snapped, "Stop it, Tara!" She had whispered harshly, "I've already told you that I'm not mad, but I need some time to cool off for myself, and I'm glad you came over here, but our friendship will take time to go back to how it was." She had said to her friend, she still loves but needed time to cool off.

Because who confesses their feelings on someone who is in a relationship? That irked her.

Tara answering sadly, "Ok."

Serena who walked out the place, and instantly smiling at the sight of Chad and just intertwining her hands with his as they walked ahead of the group, and towards the vehicle.

Tara walking towards her own sister who given her a smile, "She still mad at you?" She had seen her sister nodding her head, "Ay, Tara. Next time don't be confessing your love to a person in a relationship." Sam laughed, and ruffled her sisters hair with Mindy who was stuck laughing.

Serena who glanced at her boyfriend in just pure adoration, "I love you, dipshit." She had smiled at him.

Chad who instantly pulled her closer to him,
and just allowing her to wrap her arms around his waist, "I love you too, baby."

Scrunching her own nose up, as he had leaned his head down and kissing her on the lips, as she had reciprocated the kiss.

"Get a room!"

Both laughing, as they pulled away from the kiss, but they were both happy as they had all driven towards the secret hide out to do one last thing for her deceased friend, so she can
rest in peace.
