Woo! That was a list! Now let's get on with the chapter!>

Sparrowflight walked alongside his brother, Birdwing, through the oak forest that made up their territory. They were making their way back to camp after going out for a quick hunt. It was nearing leaf-bare, so they felt like they needed to help as much as they could. They also wanted to prove themselves, since they had been made warriors just a quarter-moon ago.

With mouths full of prey they padded along through the forest, spirits high. Egretpelt, their deputy, was a tough cat to please. So they hoped the amount of prey they brought back would at least get them a little bit of acknowledgment from him.

"I'm so telling Mothkit all about me catching that finch." Half bragged Birdwing, a confident swagger in his step, "She'll be so impressed by it."

Sparrowflight huffed at his brother, "She's two moons old, of course she'll be impressed!"

Instead of answering the other tom, Birdwing continued to walk back to camp. But now he had a smug littermate following him. The rest of the trip back to camp was uneventful, just filled with small talk about who they thought would be going to the Gathering in a few days.

The two soon arrived at back at the camp, and something immediately felt wrong. The two carefully made their way through the camp entrance, which was an old hollow log which led to the clearing where the camp was hidden. As soon as they were through a group of cats gathered around something was seen. There was a blanket of somber air over the camp. Even Smokejaw, somecat who was known for not showing a lot of emotion, looked somber.

"What's happened?" Asked Sparrowflight, anxiously pawing at the ground.

Fleckface, Birdwing's old mentor, walked up to them with sad eyes, "It's Hollydew. She was killed by a monster."

Sparrowflights breath caught in his throat. His mother had been killed by a monster? What would happen with her new litter, his new siblings? They were barely one moon old!

The small light brown tom abandoned his newly caught prey and bounded over towards the gathered cats. And as they saw him coming they made room for him.

He slowly approached the unmoving form of his mother. He could hardly think she'd been killed by a monster, her pelt was still it's beautiful white and light brown as it always was. And sure her eyes were glossed over and unblinking, but she still looked like she could be alive.

He pressed himself close to her body as it all sunk in. He'd never get to see her ever again. This was the end of Hollydew's time in Oakclan, and the start of her stay in Starclan.

Birdwing soon joined his brother, his frizzy fur comforting to Sparrowflight.

Their morning was interrupted by the hiss Rushspark, "Looks like the half-clans are back."

"What are you talking about?" Asked a bewildered Birdwing.

"Your not fully Oakclan. Your mother seemingly didn't find any love here, so she looked elsewhere." Explained the she-cat with a hiss, "It's how she died. She was crossing the thunderpath separating us from Birchclan when she was hit by the monster."

Shocked mummers spread around the other cats, and people stepped away from the two brothers.

It was well known that Oakclan despised half-clan cats, kittypets and other cats like that. So neither brother were surprised by these reactions, that didn't mean it didn't hurt any less.

"What happens now?" Whispered Sparrowflight, ear twitching anxiously.

Nightstar walked out of his den finally, and answered the small tom's question, "We will bury Hollydew. And then you, along with Birdwing and her other kits, will be exiled. I won't have cat's like you in my clan."

-~-~-~-~-~-~-LATER THAT DAY-~-~-~-~-~-~-

Sparrowflight walked towards where the Gatherings took place, a clearing with a giant sycamore, Russetkit held gently in his mouth. Behind him Birdwing carried both Jaykit and Primrosekit with great care.

The light brown tom walked towards a small hole in the sycamore, deeming it fit for a place to stay. He put down Russetkit careful, and then motioning for his brother to do the same with the other two. The white tom crawled into the tree and put the two small kits down before curling around them.

"We can't stay here forever." Reminded Birdwing, "The Gathering's is soon."

"I know!" Hissed Sparrowflight quitely, "But this was the only place I could think of at the moment."

"We'll find something in the morning." Muttered Birdwing quitely, being careful to not wake the sleeping kits, "I'll go out and look until sunhigh, you go out and look after that until moonrise."

Sparrowflight gave an acknowledging nod before curling around his kit siblings to keep them protected and warm. He was asleep before long, and eventually the white tom fell asleep too.

Birdwing rose early the next morning to go look for a new place for them to stay, though he had no luck whatsoever. He returned to the sycamore and hoped Sparrowflight would have more luck than him. And he kinda did, but also not.

Sparrowflight had been nudged awake by his brother and he soon after that made his way out to scout for a place. He hadn't even made it into the forests before a voice to his right called out, "Sparrowpaw?"

The small tom turned to come face to face with Redpaw, a friend he'd made from Spruceclan, "It's Sparrowflight now."

"You've been made a warrior! That's amazing." Gushed Redpaw, coming closer to the warrior. His gushing soon turned to confusion as he registered the current situation, "But why are you here? Shouldn't you be in Oakclan's camp right now?"

The light brown tom shifted under the others red gaze, "I've been exiled."

"Exiled?!" Cried Redpaw in disbelief. The black-and-white tom gaped down at him, "What did you do to get exiled?"

"Be born, apparently." Scoffed Sparrowflight, clawing at the ground in frustration, "Turns out I'm half-clan. And you know how Oakclan is."

"That's terrible! Can they really do that?" Asked Redpaw.

"Yeah. The Leader's word is law and all that." Mumbled the small tom as an answer.

The tall apprentice shuffled his paws a bit before asking, "So are you going to leave the forest?"

Sparrowflight considered the apprentices words, was he? I mean, if they couldn't find any good place to stay, they might have to. He didn't want to, but it wasn't safe to stay in the forests if you didn't have good shelter, "Maybe. Depends if I can find a place to stay or not."

"I have a place you can stay!"

Sparrowflight looked at the black-and-white tom with suspicious eyes, "Your not talking about your clan, are you? I'm not so sure I'd be welcome there."

Redpaw shook his head, "No, not my clan. There's an old fox burrow a bit away from here, it's well hidden so you can hide!"

That did sound nice, and promesing, but could it handle two warriors and three kits. "That sounds nice. But how big is it?"

"How big is it?" Parroted Redpaw, "I don't really know, but I guess it's a bit smaller than a warriors den."

"That will do it." Smiled Sparrowflight, "Thank you Redpaw, do you mind showing me where it is?"

"Not at all! Follow me, it's this way!"

Perhaps getting kicked out of Oakclan wasn't as bad as it seemed. Maybe it was even a blessing from Starclan. Whatever it was Sparrowflight could care less, as long as his family was safe he was ok.

<I got the prologue out earlier then I expected to. Oh well, nothing wrong with that! I hope the prologue was ok, I'm happy with how it turned out so I hope others are too.

Ok that's all, so have a wonderful time everyone and stay safe!>
