two years later

From that day that she got bitten by the werewolf she had kept it a secret. As every full moon, the wolf inside of her will trigger her transforming into a werewolf. By the grace of god, Dean never saw that. He knows that she had gotten bitten by something but there isn't any clear visible signs of his daughter being a wolf. At least signs that he has seen.

Dean may not be the world's greatest dad, but he is a better father than his. That is all that matters. It wasn't technically difficult raising, Whitney, so that made it better in some ways. Whitney and her dad have bonded over their love of pie, which was a dessert that she hadn't had often as in her mother's words: too much sugar. Well since Ophelia is dead, the father and daughter duo don't have to follow that rule.

Dean has been teaching Whitney how to use weapons even if she wouldn't go hunting by herself. Ever. The last thing that Dean needs is Whitney asking to go on her own hunts. So far she is getting the hang of the correct usage of weapons. She almost shot his eye but doesn't want to talk about that. Ever.

Then you also got that on time where Whitney had kicked her dad in the nuts. She thought that she backed away far enough but she didn't. Dean learned a lesson that day: never absolutely never teach Whitney how to fight. The sad part was that Dean was wearing the right apparel for it. He also found out how powerful Whitney's kicks are.

Dean doesn't know that Sam has a girlfriend that he wants to hopefully marry and propose. Her name is Malaika. Ever since two years ago the brother's went their separate ways and haven't spoken to each other since. Though he would occasionally write to his niece as she is the exception, as she is cute. Which the now six year old couldn't agree more on that. She gets her looks from her father and her smile from her mother. At least that is what Dean says.

The two really don't talk about Ophelia that much. But every once in a while, Whitney will bring her up in a conversation. Her Aunt Saoirse and Uncle Michael Jr, haven't talked to the girl that much (or at all) since the incident happened. Whitney isn't complaining though, mainly because of the "social interaction" that her dad makes her do. Why should she need to be interacting with people is what she needs to know.

Dean isn't the best chef at all but he does make some good pancakes, especially chocolate chip. Which are Whitney's favorite. What woke the girl from her slumber, was her dad opening the door of the impala. Whitney is the passenger princess of the impala. Her title as the passenger princess will NEVER change.

"Come on!" Dean says clearly getting angry, as he shuts his phone as his daughter rubs the sleep gunk off her eyes. "You can pick up any other time, but why not now." Dean says as he had a box in his hand, as he gave it to his daughter. Since she couldn't have an actual cake for her birthday, Dean had made it up to his daughter, which is the result of the chocolate chip pancakes with a candle on it. "There you go."

Dean grinned at his daughter's giddy smile on her face as he handed her the to-go box that houses the pancakes. He loves seeing her this happy as it lights up every room. "What are the food rules?" He asked her which made her frown. Her dad doesn't particularly like food in the impala, as Whitney calls him a "clean freak". His daughter rolled her eyes a little bit. "Don't get a single crumb on baby because she doesn't like it and it could hurt her feelings." Whitney says to her dad as he nods his head at her. "Good job, munchie."

Whitney's grin was still on her face, when she opened the container of the delicious pancakes. Whitney took the candle out of the pancake. There was a small gasp that left Dean's mouth and Whitney turned to her dad confused. "What? Can I eat in peace?"

Dean have her a look with a small smile. "You forgot the birthday tradition." He says to her. Whitney groaned with a frown on her face when he said that as she was busy stuffing her face with the pancakes. He had interrupted her mid eating. She looked up at him with matching green eyes with a slight groan. "Do we have to? I have already started eating." She says motioning towards her pancakes. He nodded his head at her. "Yup. You get the candle and I will get the lighter."

Whitney got the candle as Dean dug a little on his side door of the impala, and grabbed the lighter. He flicked the lighter as it was a little old one but it still worked. He slowed down and lit the candle, before he flicked it again and the flame was gone. He put the candle back. "Happy birthday to Whitney. Happy birthday to Whitney. Happy birthday to Whitney because she is amazing. Happy birthday to Whitney. Happy birthday to Whitney my sarcastic baby." Dean sung terribly as it made Whitney smile at her dads goofiness. After her dad singing, Whitney blew out the candle and Dean grabbed it and tossed it outside.

Whitney continued eating her pancakes in peace as eye of the tiger by Survivor played on one of her dad's many cassette tapes that he has. Occassionally she would give her dad a bite of the pancakes, everything felt normal.

A couple hours later, they were almost to Sam's college apartment because her grandpa, John has been on a hunting trip and he hasn't returned and or answered Dean's phone calls. So he and Whitney are going to go and get Sam and hopefully find and get their father back.

"Ready to go see uncle Sammy, Whit?" Dean asked but there was no response, besides his daughter snoring amidst the music that is playing in the background.

He smiled at seeing his sleeping daughter as she fell asleep not to long ago. He leaned forward and kissed his daughter's head and brushed some of her hair out of her face. He grabbed her bunny that had fallen in front of her and put her bunny in her hands and he watched as her hands instinctively grabbed the rabbit and clung onto it.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Whitney had already woken up from her nap that she had taken no less than an hour ago, as they were now 'breaking' into her Uncle Sammy's apartment building. Which might not really be a bright idea, but she isn't telling her father the plans. If they get caught she will immediately say that 'her dad is holding her hostage, and she doesn't know why she's here', which is part of her 'Whitney Games', which is what her father calls it. She is right behind her father as they walk through a fire escape to Sam's apartment building.

There was another girl at the apartment as she was the age of five and she was Sam's daughter which Dean doesn't know that she is his daughter. Her name is Spencer. Whitney gave the girl a weird look as she was asleep on the couch with her stuffed giraffe, named Spot. Dean turned to his daughter and crouched down to her level, which he almost fell doing so because Whitney is so short. He put a finger to his lips motioning her to stay quiet. She nodded her head and he gave her a pat on the shoulder before walking off into a different room.

Out of survival mode, Whitney grabbed a baseball bat, and clung onto it like her life would depend on it. She heard a loud crash coming from the direction her father went, and she walked slowly towards it. A large silhouette that she recognized was her father. Just then her father was shoved back and she heard grunts and punches being thrown, before Dean had slammed someone on the ground. Out of survival mode, Whitney hit the man in the knee, and just then there was screaming that scared the three. "Hey, buddy, get off my daddy!" Said a little girl and next thing that Whitney knew was that she was being tackled to the ground by a five year old Spencer.

"Dean, is that you?" Said Sam who was under Dean's gasp. "You scared the shit out of me." Dean shook his head. "Hey, language there are children here." He says scolding his younger brother as Sam gives his older brother a look. "You don't follow rules, idiot." For a five year old, Spencer has Whitney in a headlock, as her Dad taught her how to do that.

The two brothers got up from the ground which made Whitney and Spencer get up too, and Spencer waddled over to Sam and the man picked up his daughter who was giving Whitney a glare and the daughter of Dean was giving her one back. "Dean, what the hell are you doing here, especially with Whit?" Sam asked.

"Well, I was looking for a beer." Dean says as he placed a hand onto Whitney's shoulder. "Sam?" A woman says from another room and the lights suddenly turned on making Whitney jump. "Mal." Sam replies casting a glance at his daughter who was playing with a strain of his hair. Dean glanced at Malaika's shirt which was the Smurfs and she had a pair of shorts. "Oh, I love the Smurfs." Dean says to the woman. Whitney looked up at her dad, which made him look down at her. "No, you said that you can't stand them."

"No, I love them, Whit." Dean says as Whitney turned to the woman. "Don't let him lie to you, he doesn't like them." Whitney says which made Malaika give the girl a small smile as she took a half sleepy Spencer and pecked Sam on the cheek before walking to her daughter's room, and putting her down in her bed. So that she can get some sleep.

"Dean why are you here?" Sam asked again, making Dean look at his brother as the two brothers including Whitney walked to where Spencer had been sleeping as they watched Sleeping Beauty which is Spencer's favorite movie, and the girl had fallen asleep as her parents had just let her sleep there. That was until Dean had came and brutally interrupted her slumber, which was highly rude of him. Whitney sat where Spencer laid on the couch, as Dean and Sam sat next to each other on the couch. "Um, Dad hasn't been home in a few days." Dean says as Sam doesn't really see the whole point of why Dean is here.

"So, he's working overtime on a Miller Time shift. He'll stumble back in sooner or later." Sam says as he yawned a bit, as Dean shook his head at his brother as he looked him directly in the eyes. "Dad's on a hunting trip, and he hasn't been home in a few days." Dean says more clearly, which nearly made Sam's eyes widen when he said that.

Shit.

Sam looks at his brother, as Sam gets up along with Dean and Whitney, and the three of them went downstairs. "You can't just break in, middle of the night, and expect me to hit the road with you."

"You're not hearing me, Sammy. Dad's missing. I need you to help me find him." Dean says.

"You remember the poltergeist in Amherst? Or the Devil's Gates in Clifton? He was missing, and he's always fine." Sam says as Dean stopped and turned around, as Sam stopped two. Dean had Whitney in his arms.

"Not for this long. Now, are you going to come with me or not?" Dean asked his brother as he didn't hesitate to shake his head no. "I'm not." Sam says to his brother, as Dean sighs. "Why not?" Dean asked. "I swore I was done hunting. For good. I have a girlfriend and a daughter to raise and take care of. I don't have the time to go hunting with you, Dean." Sam says as Whitney had a frown on her face.

"Come on. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't bad." Dean says like it's no big deal. "Yeah? When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me .45." Sam says, as Dean stopped at the door to the outside. "Well, what was he supposed to do?" Dean asked. "I was nine years old! He was supposed to say don't be afraid of the dark."

"I'm afraid of the dark." Whitney says as she decided to pipe up into the conversation as despite everything Sam suppressed a chuckle at his niece, as Dean looked down at her with a look that says: 'you're not helping'.

"Don't be afraid of the dark? Are you kidding me? Of course, you should be afraid of the dark. You know what's out there." Dean says getting back into the conversation. "Yeah, I know, but still. The way we grew up, after Mom was killed, and Dad's obsession to find the thing that killed her." Sam says.

Dean glanced outside as Sam talked. "But we still haven't found the damn thing. So we kill everything we can find." Dean rubbed Whitney's back to get her to fall asleep, he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "We save a lot of people doing it, too."

"I don't want Spencer to be raised like Dad raised us. You think Mom would have wanted this for us?" Sam asked as Dean rolled his eyes and slammed the door open. Dean and Sam climbed the short flight of stairs to the parking lot.

"The weapon training, the melting the silver into bullets. Man, Dean, we were raised like warriors." Sam says as they crossed the parking lot to the impala.

"So what are you going to do? You're just going to live some normal, apple life? Is that it?" Dean says as Sam shook his head at his brother. "No. Not normal. Safe. I want Spence to go to a good school, and maybe a college if she so chooses, and not live in the hunter life."

"Is that why you ran away?" Dean looked away as he continues to rub Whitney's back as he placed another tender kiss onto the top of her head. "Yeah, well, I don't want to." Sam says. "What was he hunting?" He asked.

Dean opened the trunk of the Impala, then the spare-tire compartment. It's an arsenal. He propped the compartment open with a shotgun and handed Whitney to Sam who happily took the girl and started kissing the girl's head, which made her smile as Dean dug through the clutter. "All right, let's see, where the hell did, I put that thing?"

"So, when Dad left, why didn't you go with him?" Sam asked, as he adjusted Whitney in his arms. "I was working my own gig. This, uh, voodoo thing, down in New Orleans." Dean says. "Dad let you go on a hunting trip by yourself?" Dean looked over at Sam.

"I'm twenty-six, dude." Dean says sarcastically as he pulled out a folder. "All right, here we go. So, Dad was checking out this two-lane blacktop just outside of Jericho, California. About a month ago, this guy." Dean says as he handed one of the papers to Sam. "They found his car, but he vanished. Completely MIA." The paper was a printout of an article from the Jericho Herald headlined, 'Centennial Highway Disappearance' and dated September 19th, 2005. It was a man's picture, captioned, 'Andrew Carey MISSING'.

Sam read it and glanced up. "Okay, maybe he was kidnapped." Sam says to his brother as Whitney plays with a strain of Sam's hair. "Yeah, well, here's another one in April. Another one in December '04, '03, '98, '92, ten of them over the past twenty years." Dean says as he tossed down another Jericho Herald article for each date that he mentioned. Dean took the articles back from Sam and picked up the rest of the stack, putting them back in the folder. "All men, all the same, five-mile stretch of the road." Dean says as he pulled a bag out of another part of the arsenal. "It started happening more and more, so Dad went to go dig around. That was about three weeks ago. I hadn't heard from him since, which is bad enough." Dean says as he grabbed a handheld tape recorder. "Then I get this voicemail yesterday." Dean says as he pressed the 'play' button. The recording was staticky, and the signal was clearly breaking up.

"Dean...something big is starting to happen..." John says on the recording. "I need to try and figure out what's going on. It may...be very careful, Dean. We're all in danger." After the recording Dean pressed the 'stop' button. "You know there's EVP on that?" Sam says.

"Not bad, Sammy. Kinda like riding a bike, isn't it?" Dean said impressed as Sam shook his head. "All right. I slowed the message down, I ran it through a gold wave, took out the hiss, and this is what I got." Dean says as he pressed the 'play' button.

"I can never go home." A woman said as Dean pressed the 'stop' button. "Never go home." Sam muttered the words. Dean dropped the recorder, put down the shotgun, stood straight, and shut the trunk, then leaned on it. Sam put Whitney on the trunk of the impala, as she was playing with her stuffed bunny.

"You know, in almost two years, I've never bothered you, never asked you for a thing. All Whitney gets is letters from her uncle, and stuffed animals, not once have you come to see your niece in two years." Dean retorts to his brother as Sam looked to the side before looking back at Dean. "Neither did you for Spencer, she barely knows you. You're her own Uncle. Dean." Sam retorts back to his older brother. Dean looked down at Whitney who wasn't paying attention to the conversation.

"You going to help or not." Dean says after a moment of silence as he turned his gaze back to his brother. "I'll go. I'll help you find him." Sam says to Dean as the father of Whitney nods his head. "But I have to get back first thing Monday. Just wait here." Sam says as he turned to go back to the apartment.

"What's first thing, Monday?" Dean asked causing Sam to turn back when he spoke.

"I have this...I have an interview." Sam says.

"What, a job interview. Skip it." Dean says waving it off, like it's no big deal.

"It's a law school interview, and it's my whole future on a plate." Sam says.

"Law school?" Dean asked, smirking.

"So, we got a deal or not?" Sam asked as Dean said nothing as Sam walked back into the apartment.

"So, no more passenger princess?" Was what nearly made Dean jump. He turned and saw his daughter with her head tilted slightly, as Dean had to break it to his daughter that now because Sam is coming with the two Winchesters, that Whitney will have to share her dad, with Sam.

Dean bent down a little bit so that him and Whitney are at eye level. He could tell how a little heartbroken she was, because for the past two years, it's always been her and her dad. Now she has to share her dad with her Uncle Sam.

"Listen, munchie, it's going to be tough having to share me with Sam, but you will forever be my passenger princess. Even when I die, no matter what. It will always be us no matter what." Dean says as it sounded more like a promise more than anything.

"I love you, Daddy." Whitney says which made Dean's heart melt at hearing. Whitney leaned forward towards her dad and kissed his nose. Which made him smile as their foreheads touched, she he kissed her head which made her giggle.

"I love you munchie." He says to her as he brought his daughter into his arms, and he held onto her knowing that is all he has left of Ophelia.

In his own ways he does miss her, he will forever love her. She was a when who put up with Dean's antics and him flirting with other girls even if they were never serious. At least that's what he always told her. She was the only woman who truly loved. The only thing that he has of Ophelia, was Whitney. He wanted to keep her forever.

He wants to keep her out of harm's way, but he also knows that will never happen. That and because Whitney has her dad wrapped around her finger like crazy, as she is his little girl. He will probably go on a killing spree or go insane if something happened to his little girl.

After Sam had gotten his things and kissed Malaika and Spencer goodnight as Spencer didn't want to leave her father as she was a Velcro baby and didn't want to leave her Daddy. With a lot of reassurance that he will be okay, Spencer agreed of letting her father go out of her sight. But she knows that she isn't going to like it.

"I promise I will be back baby." Sam says to his five-year-old daughter, as she sleepily nods her head before leaning forward and giving her dad a big hug. Which made him smile, when Spencer released the hug Sam kissed her forehead, even if part of him didn't want to leave his daughter. But he knew that he had to either way, and it broke his heart a little.

After bidding a goodbye/goodnight to his daughter, Sam walked to him and Mal's room, and she was spread out asleep. He walked towards his girlfriend, as he couldn't help but smile at the sight of her sleep with her head on his pillow. He is guessing that she plopped herself on his side of the bed purposely.

He managed to find her head as it was buried under some of her hair, and he gently used the padding of his thumb to move the strands of her hair out of her face. When her face was cleared off of her blonde hair, he leaned down to her head and placed a tender kiss on her forehead.

"I'll be back in a couple days." He says more so to him, reminding him of what he has when he comes back to the apartment, after his trip with Dean.

Sam went to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of granola bars that will last for a couple of days, not really knowing when the next meal that actual food is going to be. Knowing that he probably won't have actual food other than snacky food, for the next couple of days.

He also grabbed a couple snacks for Whitney, knowing Dean hasn't been feeding her actual food with nutrients and healthy minerals that she needs. He most likely feeds her junk food, and or food that he eats.

After he got his granola bars and some other snacky food he then walked out of the apartment, he turned around and took one last look at the apartment before he leaves for a couple days. He turned back around and saw that Dean and Whitney were in the Impala with Eye of the Tiger on full blast, and the two don't have a single care in the world they were awfully dancing making the Impala slightly move from their dance moves.

When Sam got to the passenger side, that is when Whitney turned and gave her uncle a look it was as if looks could kill at least for a six-year-old. He knocked on the door and Dean jumped at seeing his brother standing there. He motioned for Whitney to get in the back, and she did with a pout on her face.

It was going to take some getting used to, but Dean had promised her that once a week she could sit up front and be his passenger princess again, and she agreed so after Dean had to bribe her a little to say that.

He may have lost thirty bucks along with his peanut M&M's but he's not going to talk about it. She kept going higher with the amount, but the more that she would go higher, the less money Dean would have for food gas and other stuff. She wasn't going to say that willingly either, because if it were up to her, she wouldn't have to share her father. Also, if God forbid Spencer joins in the club, then might as well put a bullet in Whitney.

When Sam got in the car. Whitney was glaring at her uncle with her arms crossed over her chest and a little huff left her mouth. She wants to sit up front. Her Uncle can sit in the back and or strap him to the roof of the car. The front seat is Whitney's throne, and kingdom.

Not her uncle's.

Sam put his bag beside Whitney and gave his niece a small smile at seeing her grumpy. which made her look cuter than she already is. Sam turned to his brother with a small, amused smile on his face. "Whit, looks like she wants to kick me out of the car." Sam says as Dean looked through the mirror and saw Whitney looking grumpy. He raised his brow slightly at his daughter, he reached his free hand and patted her foot, which made her look at her dad. Even if she wanted to avoid eye contact and not look at him.

"Munch, it is only probably going to be for a couple days. Then you can be 'passenger princess', okay." Dean says to his daughter as she nods her head without looking up at her dad, hoping that he is right. Sam turns his head to his brother.

"You do realize that a six-year-old, isn't supposed to be in the front seat, right?" Sam asked his brother, as Dean groans at his brothers answer.

"Okay, and? She likes it. She picks the music, which is something you don't have the power to do. Because you aren't cute and adorable." Dean says to his brother as Sam gives him a look with a sarcastic raised brow.

"It isn't safe, Dean. What if she gets hurt?" Sam asked his brother, as Dean rolled his eyes at his younger brother, before he can object Whitney pipes up of course with a sarcastic remark much like Dean.

"I know how to wear a seatbelt dummy."

Dean immediately turns to his daughter with a scolding look but in reality, he wanted to laugh at her joke, but since Sam was here, he couldn't. Well, he could but he would get smacked for it. "Whitney, we talked about this. He isn't a dummy.... he is stupid." Sam gives his brother a look for encouraging this behavior. Then again, no one said Dean was smart of getting Ophelia pregnant.

"I am no dummy nor stupid." Sam objects as Dean shrugs his shoulders at his brother which made Sam shake his head at his brother. He followed the shake of the head with an eye roll.

"So, he is an idiot?" Whitney asked as Sam leans in his seat, knowing that he won't be winning against these two.

"He is an idiot." Dean says as Sam let out a groan at his niece and his brother, more so at his brother for condoning this behavior around a six-year-old.

Dean shifted the gears and started backing up as Whitney held onto her stuffed bunny, as there was a song playing on a cassette tape as it was Enter Sandman by Metallica. Despite her mood, Whitney was mouthing the words to the song, but she wasn't having a full out jam session like her father was. Which she would join but she wants to throw a tantrum instead.

A couple hours later and Whitney is still not happy, she wants to leave but she can't sadly. All she has been hearing is her dad and Uncle Sam arguing about which bands are better, and she is tired of it. She has been stuffing the candy that was in her dad's car, as she eventually fell asleep from a sugar coma.

"Giving a child that much sugar isn't healthy Dean." Sam says as he turned his head towards his niece sleeping in the backseat. Dean looked through the mirror and saw his daughter who was holding her bunny that Sam had gotten her when she was a baby.

"She is fine. Now stop worrying, sheesh." Dean says pushing the topic to the side. "Besides you aren't the one raising her. I feel bad for your kid. Which why, did you never tell me about her?" Dean says which made the younger brother turn to his older brother.

"What are we after anyway?" Sam asked changing the subject for the better. Deans give his brother a look along with a roll of his eyes.

"A woman in white that is a spirit of some sort who is pretending to be stranded along the side of the road and then luring the men and then killing them. At least that is what I'm assuming." Dean explains as Sam nods his head.

"Okay, let's stop somewhere for the night and then start searching first thing after we wake up." Sam says as Dean nods his head as he turned his head to make sure that Whitney was still sleeping as she is a light sleeper. He sighed a little when he saw that she was still asleep.

"That is what I was thinking genius." Dean snarkily remarked which made Sam give him a side-eyed look.

It was morning and Spencer was not happy. She woke up without her dad kissing her head, and her feeling him grabbing her and cuddling with her in the morning. Her mother, Malaika was still sleeping as she sleeps in more than she should as the five-year-old sighed, as she got out of bed. Just then her mother's phone rang and Mal being herself was too knocked out to even answer and or lowkey care. The five-year-old went to where her mom's phone was and without looking to see who it was, she clicked accept.

"Hi, the person you are trying to reach is still sleeping, but I am her assistant Spencer. How can I take your message?" Spencer says in the phone not realizing that it was Sam.

"Hey baby. Where is Mama?" Sam asked as the little girl heard a couple voices in the background as it was Dean and Whitney. They were talking about what Whitney wants for breakfast as she wanted pancakes, but they aren't at a diner but a gas station.

"No pancakes munchie."

"Man, can I get Funyuns and Apple Juice?"

"Coming up."

"Mama is still sleepy, she was also snory. Loud. Again." Spencer says as Sam chuckled in the background which made Sam smile.

God, he misses his girls, so much. If it wasn't for Dean, he would have stayed and not went. Part of him wished that he didn't go with Dean and Whitney. Mainly Dean. Because Whitney is six zero.

"That's good baby. I miss you." Sam says to his daughter as Mal stirred in her sleep.

"I miss you too, so does Mama but she is sleeping." Spencer says to her father.

"I know she does, baby." Sam says to his daughter as he has a smile on his face.

"When are you coming back?" Spencer asked as she exited her parents' bedroom with her mother's phone squished between her hand and her ear.

To say that Sam wanted to end this hunt already was an understatement. He just wanted to go back to his girlfriend and daughter. He just wants to hold them in his arms. Tell them how much that he loves them.

"I will be back on Sunday night, as I have that interview on Monday." Sam says as he heard a sigh which came from his daughter. He also heard a little huff leaving her lips.

"You promise?" Spencer asked her father as he grabbed his brother's cassette tape collection that was next to him. A small eye roll left Sam's eyes as he looked through the tape collection.

"I promise, baby girl." Sam says as just then she heard Dean's voice as he came back. "I will talk to you later, baby." Sam says as he heard Spencer's goodbye as she hung up on her mother's phone.

Dean back to the Impala with junk food as of course none of it is healthy, go figure. Sam doesn't remember the last time that Dean had eaten anything healthy and or a vegetable. Willingly.

Sam is sitting in the passenger seat as Whitney huffed as she hoped that it would be her turn to sit up front with her dad, but sadly her uncle is still here. Unfortunately.

"Hey college dork!" Dean says as he went to the gas pump as Sam turned his head towards his brother. "You want breakfast?" Dean asked as he held up the junk food.

"No thanks." Sam says as when Dean was done with the gas pump he came by Whitney's window and handed her, her Funyuns and Apple Juice.

"Bon Appetit."

"How did you pay for that stuff?" Sam asked as a song is playing on the radio. "You and Dad still running the credit card scams?" He added as Whitney snickered as Dean gives his younger brother a look. Dean leaned in and kissed Whitney's head as she opened her juice, before he walked to the driver's side and opened the door.

"Yeah, well, hunting isn't exactly a pro ball career." Dean says as he got into the Impala. "Besides all we do is apply. It's not our fault they send us the cards."

"Yeah? And what ridiculous names did you write on the application this time?" Sam asked his brother.

"Uh, Burt and his son Hector Abramian and his niece Sunny." Dean says as there was a snicker that came from Whitney in the backseat which made Dean grin, as Dean grabbed his cassette collection and handed the box to Whitney who immediately started digging through it.

"That sounds jolly. I swear, you seriously need to update your cassette tape collection." Sam says which made Whitney look up from her father's cassette tape collection.

"Why?" Dean asked his younger brother as Whitney grabbed a Bon Jovi cassette tape, it was titled Slippery When Wet, as she handed the cassette tape collection back to her dad.

"Well for one, they're cassette tapes, and two...." Sam says as he holds up a tape for every band he names. "Black Sabbath? Motorhead? Metallica? It's the greatest hits of mullet rock."

"Whit, tell our clueless passenger the house rules."

Dean grabs the Slippery When Wet cassette tape that Whitney grabbed and played it. "Passenger princess picks the music; clueless passenger shuts his cakehole."

"You know Sammy, isn't a chubby little, twelve-year-old anymore." Sam says as Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi starts playing.

"Sorry, I can't hear you. The music's too loud." Dean says as he turns it up, as Whitney leaned forward and gave her father a Funyun, which he grabbed and ate it. "Thanks, baby." He says, to his daughter who only replied with a thumbs up.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Whitney was singing to the song that was playing on the cassette tape, as she had lost count what song it was. She also took a little nap, so that felt a little. Sam was on the phone. "Thank you." Sam says as he closes his phone.

"Alright, so there's no one matching dad at the hospital and or morgue. So that's something, I guess." Sam says as Whitney looks out the window.

Dean glances over at Sam, then back at the road. At a bridge ahead of them, there are two police cars and several officers.

"Check it out." Dean says as Sam leans forward for a closer look, of what his brother was looking at.

Dean pulls over to the side of the road. They take a long look before a song begins to play. Dean opens the glove compartment and pulls out a box full of ID cards with his and John's faces. He picks one out and grins at Sam who merely just stares at him.

"Stay here, baby." Dean says as Whitney nods her head, he patted his daughter's head as she had hopped to her dad's seat. Like she always does when she is left in the car.

A couple minutes later Dean and Sam are walking back to the car, and they see that Whitney is passed out on her uncle's side of the car. "Well, someone isn't getting his spot back." Dean says to his brother as Sam looks at his older brother.

"You know that she isn't technically allowed to sit in the front seat, you know that right?" Sam says to his brother as Dean got in the driver's seat, as Sam sighed as he got in the back where Whitney has been staying at.

"She's fine, Samuel. Is she hurt? No. Is she harming herself?" Dean asked as Sam gave his brother a look when he said that. "Okay, don't answer that." Dean says to Sam, who only shook his head at his older brother.

A young woman is tacking up posters with Troy Squire's face on the papers, as Dean, Sam and little Whitney approach, the woman. "I'll bet you that's her." Dean says as he holds his daughter's hand.

"What gave it away?" Whitney asked as Dean playfully poked his daughter's head for that comment. They approach the woman.

"You must be Amy." Dean says as Whitney rolls her eyes at her father.

"Yeah." The woman says, as Whitney switches over to her uncle's side, as he picked up the little girl.

"Yeah, Troy told us about you. We're his uncles. I'm Dean and this is Sammy." Dean says as the woman looked at Whitney. "She is our young niece."

"He never mentioned you three to me, but she is cute." Amy says to Whitney who mustered her best tired smile that she could manage.

Amy walks away, as Dean and Sam, walk with her. "Well, that's Troy, I guess. We're not around much, we're up in Modesto." Dean says.

"So, we're looking for him too, and we're kind of asking around." Sam says as another young woman named, Rachel, comes up to Amy and puts a hand on her arm.

"Hey, are you okay?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah." Amy says.

"You mind if we ask you a couple questions?" Sam asked as another poster that says: MISSING TROY SQUIRE flaps in the breeze.

The five of them are sitting in a booth, Whitney is sitting on her uncle's lap, as she is playing with his fingers as her ADHD is spiking today as she isn't paying attention to save her life.

"I was on the phone with Troy. He was driving home. He said he would call me right back, and....he never did." Amy says.

"He didn't say anything strange, or out of the ordinary?" Sam asked, as Dean grabbed a small coloring book and some crayons for Whitney.

"Here baby." Dean says as Whitney's eyes light up at the sight of the coloring book and crayons. She practically yanked the crayons out of her father's hands as she opened the coloring book and started coloring a butterfly.

Amy shakes her head getting back to the conversation. "No. Nothing I can remember." Amy says as Sam looks at the woman's necklace.

"I like your necklace." Sam says to the woman.

Amy holds the pendant she's wearing, a pentagram in a circle, and looks down at it. "Troy gave it to me. Mostly to scare my parents...." Amy says after a pause as she laughs. ".... with all that devil stuff."

Sam laughs a little and looks down then back up. Dean looks over. "Actually, it means just the opposite. A pentagram is protection against evil. Really powerful. I mean, if you believe in that kind of thing."

"Okay. Thank you. Unsolved Mysterious." Dean says as Sam gives his brother a look. "Here's the deal ladies. The way Troy disappeared, something's not right. So, if you've heard anything...." Dean says as Sam moved Whitney's hair to the other side as he kissed her head, as she smiled at her uncle's lips touching her head.

Amy and Rachel look at each other as Dean has a slight raised brow. "What is it?" Dean asked.

"Well, it's just.... I mean with all these guys going missing, people talk." Rachel says as that's when Whitney looks up at the older women sitting across the table from her.

"What do they talk about?" Dean, Whitney and Sam ask in unison.

"It's kind of this local legend. This one girl? She got murdered out on Centennial, like decades ago." Rachel explains as Dean looks at Sam, who watches Rachel attentively, as he nods his head. "Well, supposedly she's still out there."

"She hitchhikes and whoever picks her up? Well, they disappear forever." Amy says as Sam and Dean look at each other.

After a couple more minutes of talking to the two girls as the brothers want to try to get as much information as they can. The brothers and Whitney soon left after the questions, as Whitney was talking about her drawing that she was doing.

"It looks pretty cool, baby girl." Dean says to his daughter as she gave him the drawing, as he picked her up and kissed her face. "I love you."

"I love you too." Whitney says to her dad, as he held her in his arms as they walked towards the car.

Whitney, Sam and Dean are at the library trying to get some research about this mystery woman that has been killing men. The brothers are having no luck on the computers as Dean had Whitney distracted by her coloring in the coloring book that he has always kept on hand if he needs to distract his daughter. Dean is searching up "Female Murder Hitchhiking", and he finds no results. He tries again with "Female Murder Centennial Highway" with the same results, which is nothing.

"Let me try." Sam says to his brother.

"I got it." Dean says which made Sam shove his chair out of the way and takes over with the computer. Dean then hits his brother in the shoulder.

"Dude! You're a control freak." Dean says as his brother gives him a look.

"So angry spirits are born out of violent death, right?" Sam asked his brother.

"Yeah." Dean has hesitantly to his brother.

"Well, maybe it's not murder." Sam says as he tries the search function. "Female Suicide Centennial Highway", and finds an article titled, "Suicide on Centennial", and he opens it.

"That was 1981. Constance Welch, twenty-four years old, jumps off Sylvania Bridge, drowns in the river." Sam reads as Whitney doesn't look up from her drawing a giraffe, which is particularly a pink, purple and blue giraffe. Which is definitely not the colors of a giraffe, but she doesn't care.

"Does it say why she did it?" Dean asked his brother.

"Yeah." Sam says.

"What?" Dean asked his brother, as he got distracted by his daughters off colored giraffe.

"An hour before they found her, she calls 911, apparently her two little kids are in the bathtub, she leaves them alone for a minute, and when she comes back, they aren't breathing. Both dies." Sam says as he reads the article. "Our babies were gone, and Constance just couldn't bear it', says husband Joseph Welch." Sam says as he finishes reading.

"So, this is where Constance took the swan dive." Dean says.

Whitney looked up from her drawing of her pink, purple and blue giraffe, as she put the crayons back in the little box that they came in. Dean turned his head towards his daughter as he looked at her oddly colored giraffe. Dean got distracted by the giraffe that his daughter was coloring. There was a chuckle as the father and daughter looked up to see Sam trying not to laugh at what his niece was drawing.

"I like your pink giraffe." Sam says in between laughs as Whitney gave Sam a toothless grin, as she is missing the first two of her teeth. That only made the girl smile even more. "It's cute, right Dean?" Sam asked as he looked at his brother who was too busy staring at the pink, purple and blue giraffe.

"Yeah, I love it." Dean says as Whitney's smile faltered as Dean's face changed when he saw his daughter's smile drop. "Baby, I'm sorry okay."

"If you didn't like you could have said that." Whitney says as she went to her Uncle Sam who held the little girl. Dean felt bad that he broke his daughter's heart.

"Baby, I'm sorry, kay. I love it, I really do. I love your butterfly too, believe me." Dean says trying to apologize to his daughter, who avoided looking at her father as Dean sighed at his daughter. He watched as Whitney buried her head in the crook of her uncle's neck, as Sam held the girl in his arms, as she had her stuffed bunny in her other hand. "Baby, I'm sorry, kay." Dean says to his daughter as he heard her sniffle, as it made his heart break even more.

"Com, 'mere baby." Dean says with his arms open for his daughter, as she shook her head as she stayed in her uncle's arms. Dean knew he had to try harder at this. "Please?" He asked as he scooted his chair closer to Sam, well Whitney.

Sam did the unthinkable and let go of Whitney, which nearly made her fall, but Dean caught her back, before she could fall. He grabbed his daughter, and sat her on his lap, so that she is facing him. She however, kept her head down, avoiding her father's gaze. Dean raised his hand and gently wiped the little tears that's on his daughter's cheeks. Which made her slowly raise her gaze that was avoiding her dad's soft green eyes.

"Babygirl. I'm sorry, okay. I love your pink giraffe so much, that I love it more than your purple butterfly." Dean says as Sam tries not to laugh to ruin the moment, as Dean kicked his brother's leg to get him to stop laughing, which made the younger brother grunt a little.

"You do?" Whitney asked her dad as he nodded his head at her as he gave her head a tender kiss on the head, which made the little girl curve her lips into a small smile.

"Of course I do. I love pink giraffes!" Dean says as that made Whitney giggle a little as Dean kissed her head again.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Sam, Dean and Whitney came back to the bridge stopping near the entrance of the bridge. The three of them get out of the Impala and look over the edge.

"Isn't this the place where that lady, killed herself?" Whitney asked which made the two men whip their heads to the little girl.

"How do you know about that?" Dean asked his daughter, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"You thought that just because I was coloring that my mind wasn't eavesdropping. I'm not an idiot." Whitney says to her father which made him narrow her eyes at her. Knowing that now isn't the right time to snap a remark to his daughter's sarcasm.

"So, you think Dad would have been here?" Sam asked as Dean turned his head back to his younger brother.

"Well, he's chasing the same story, and we're chasing him. So, probably." Dean says.

"Okay, so now what?" Sam asked.

"Now, we keep digging until we find him. Might take a while." Dean says to his brother as there was a sigh that came from Sam's mouth.

"Dean, I told you, I've gotta get back by Monday--" Sam says as Dean interrupted him slightly annoyed that his brother would be leaving as he doesn't want to deal with this alone. Granted, yes, he has Whitney, but he isn't getting her involved in this business. That, and because she is too young, and he doesn't want to do what his father did to him when he was Whitney's age.

"Monday. Right, the interview." Dean says.

"Yeah."

"Yeah, I forgot. You're really serious about this, aren't you? You think you're just going to become some lawyer with a girlfriend and a child. Marry your girl, be a father to your kid." Dean says.

"Maybe. Why not?" Sam says.

"Does your little girlfriend know the truth about you. I mean, does she know about the things that you've done?" Dean asked his brother.

"No, and Mal, and Spencer are never going to know." Sam says as Whitney looks around.

"Well, that's healthy. You can pretend all you want, Sammy. But sooner or later you're going to have to face to who you really are." Dean says to his brother.

"And who's that?" Sam asked.

"You're one of us." Dean says.

"No, I'm not like you. This is not going to be my life." Sam says to his brother.

"You have a responsibility to--" Dean says but Sam had cut him off.

"To Dad? And his crusade? If it weren't for pictures, I wouldn't even know what Mom looks like. And what difference would it make? Even if we find the thing that killed her, Mom's gone. And she's not coming back." Sam says to his brother, which made Dean fuming.

Dean grabs Sam by the collar and shoves him up against the railing of the bridge. "Don't talk to her like that." Dean says to his brother.

He releases Sam and walks away. He stops seeing a woman in a white dress standing on the bridge railing. "Daddy. Is that the lady?" Whitney asked as Dean picked her up and held her in his arms.

"Yeah, it is baby." Dean says to Whitney. Constance looked over at the three before she dove over the bridge. The two brothers and Whitney run to the railing and look over. "Where did she go?" Dean asked as Whitney peeked her head over the railing as she was trying to look too.

"I don't know." Sam says to his brother.

Just them the Impala's engine starts, and the headlights come on, which made Whitney jump because her dad turned off the car before he got out of the car. "Daddy, Baby." Whitney says which got Dean and Sam's attention. The two brothers turn to the car and sure shit.

"What the--" Dean says baffled that is happening especially to Baby. Because that never happened before.

"Who's driving your car?" Sam asked as Dean used his free hand that wasn't around his daughter. He pulls the keys out of his pocket and jingles them. Sam glances at them, then the car jerked into motion, heading straight for them. They turn and run, as Dean had a death grip on Whitney. The car was moving faster than they were, when it got too close, Sam, Dean and Whitney dove over the railing.

"Nooo!" Dean yelled as Whitney collided with the ground with a thud, she rolled a little bit until her body hit a boulder. Then the next thing that she knew was that everything was black.

When Whitney woke up and regained conscious, she was laying on the hood of the Impala. Luckily, she wasn't as muddy and dirty as her dad was outside of the bruise that is forming on her cheek that is the only wound that she has. She groaned a little as the hood made a noise which was Whitney.

"Hey, baby. You, okay?" Dean asked her as Whitney almost didn't recognize her dad because of how dirty he was. She scooted towards her uncle unsure that the dirty man is her father. "It's me, you're good."

Whitney leaned forward and sniffed her dad, and her nose scrunched in disgust which made Sam chuckle at his niece. "You smell like the potty."

"Yeah, I know. Don't have to remind me." Dean says as he sighed happily knowing that his daughter is okay. "How is your head?" He asked as he started patting her making sure that she doesn't have any other injuries.

"My head hurts but it's fine." Whitney says to her dad, when he was done inspecting her, he brought her into his arms.

At a motel, Dean hands a fake MasterCard to the clerk. Dean is still dirty as Sam is behind him. Whitney is in a clean set of clothes so that she isn't stuck in the dirt. Then again, unlike Dean she wasn't covered in the dirt/mud.

"You guys having a reunion or something?" The clerk asked as Whitney was in Sam's arms as he is holding his niece.

"What do you mean?" Sam asked the clerk.

"I had another guy, Burt Abramian. He came and bought out a room for the whole month." The clerk says as Dean looks at Sam.

The motel door swings open, Sam is on the other side as Whitney skillfully picked a lock with a paper clip.

When she finishes picking the paper clip in her pocket. She stands up as her dad is outside keeping a lookout, until Sam reaches out of the room and yanks his brother's arm and dragging him inside the room. Whitney closes the door behind her.

The three of them look around, every surface bas papers pinned on it, maps, newspaper clippings, pictures, notes, etc.

There are books on the desk and assorted junk on the floor and bed, including something with a hazardous material symbol.

Whitney scrunched her nose in disgust as it also has a foul smell from the expired food in the room. She made a gagging sound.

"Blech." Whitney says as Dean turns on a light by the bed and picks up a half-eaten hamburger sitting there. Sam steps over a line of salt on the floor. Dean sniffs the burger and recoils.

"I don't think he's been here for a couple days." Dean says as Whitney gave her dad a look as she rolled her eyes at him.

Whitney fingers the salt on the floor and looks up. "Salt, cat-eye shells....he was worried. Trying to keep something from coming in." Whitney says as Dean turns to her, shocked that she knows what those objects mean.

"How do you--" He says to his daughter baffled that she knows what those objects can do.

"I read. That would translate to: educating myself." Whitney sassed back at her dad as he raised a brow.

"Okay, enough, sassy." Dean says, as he turns his head and looks at the papers covering one wall.

"What's that?" Whitney asked as her father waved her hand making her huff in annoyance that he didn't give her an answer.

It was just a question, jeez.

"Isn't that the Centennial Highway vics?" Sam asked as Dean nods his head at his brother as Whitney huffed annoyed.

"You answered his question." Whitney remarked as she sat in the chair by the desk as Dean didn't turn his head.

"Yeah, because Sam is old enough, you are not." Dean says as Whitney groaned annoyed at her dad.

"It's not fair." Whitney complained as Dean rolled his eyes at his daughter throwing a fit.

The victims seen on the wall include Mark somebody, William Durrell, Scott Nifong, who disappeared in 1987 at age 25, and someone Parks. Mark and Durrell and Nifong are all white males, judging by the photos.

"I don't get it. I mean, different men, different jobs, ages, ethnicities. There's always a connection? What does these guys have in common?" Dean asked, as Sam looks at the papers taped on the other walls.

There's someth8ng about the Bell Witch, two people being burned alive, a skeletal person blowing a horn at several scared people with the note "MORTIS DANSE" a column about "Devils + Demons", another about "Sirens, Witches, the possessed" a wooden pentacle, and a note that says "woman in white" above a printout of the Jericho Herald article on Constance's suicide.

Sam turns on another lamp. "Dad figured it out." Sam says as Dean turns to look.

"What do you mean?" Dean asked his brother.

"He found the same article we did. Constance Welch. She's a woman in white." Sam reads as Dean looks at the photos of Constance's victims.

"You sly dogs." Dean says as he turns back to Sam.

"Alright, so if we're dealing with a woman in white, Dad would have found the corpse and destroyed it."

"She might have another weakness." Sam says as Whitney stands up.

"Well dad would want to make sure." Dean says as he crosses to Sam. "He's dig her up. Does it say where she's buried?"

"No, not that I can tell. If I were Dad, though, I'd go ask her husband." Sam says as he snaps a picture of Joseph Welch.

The caption says he's thirty, as the article dates to 1981, so he is sixty-four now.

"If he's still alive." Sam says as he goes to look at something. Dean looks at the picture below of the Herald article, of the woman in a white dress.

"Alright. Why don't you uh, see if you can find an address. I'm going to get cleaned up." Dean says as he starts to walk away as Sam turns to his brother.

"Hey, Dean?" Sam says as Dean stops and turns back to his brother. "What, I said earlier, about Mom and Dad, I'm sorry."

Dean holds his hands up. "No, chick-flick moments." Dean says as Sam laughs and nods his head.

"Alright, Jerk." Sam says with a small smile.

"Bitch." Dean says as Whitney shook her head at her dad and uncle.

"Idiots." Whitney mouthed to herself as the adults didn't hear her.

Dean walks into the bathroom as Sam notices something, as his smile disappears and crosses over for a closer look. A rosary hangs in front of a large mirror and stuck into the mirror frame is a photo of John sitting on the hood of the Impala, next to s boy in a baseball cap, who is presumably Dean with a younger boy, presumably Sam on John's lap. Sam takes the photo off the mirror and holds it, smiling sadly.

"Who's that?" A voice made Sam jump at his niece's voice. He forgot that she was in the room.

"We need to out a bell on you." Sam says to his niece as she whipped out a sarcastic smile.

"Who's that" Whitney asked again as she pointed to the picture that is now in Sam's hands.

"That is uh, your grandfather, me and your dad." Sam tells his niece as she looks at the picture that is in Sam's hands.

"Daddy doesn't talk about him." Whitney admits to her uncle which made Sam look at his niece. Quite frankly, he can't blame to Whitney of why Dean doesn't talk about John. But she should at least know who her grandfather.

"He doesn't?" Sam asked as Whitney shakes her head at her uncle, confirming. "Why?" He asked again.

"I never asked other than who he is." Whitney says to her uncle. "Probably because he doesn't want to talk about it."

Sam knew that he had to tell her. he was going to leave out some details, but she at least deserves to know about her grandfather.

"He uh, wasn't the best dad, he was always gone always on hunting trips. He was a good dad but in his own way but that didn't really happen as much as I wanted it. Because after my mom, which would be your grandmother died, he became a drill sergeant to me and your dad." Sam explains as he had picked up Whitney when he said that and put her on the table which is in front of him.

"Daddy calls hunting trips an "adult trip" where no kids are allowed." Whitney says to her uncle which made him chuckle at what she said.

"Technically, he isn't wrong, these hunts aren't exactly kid appropriate." Sam says to the little girl as she gave her uncle a look. "Are you done trying to kick me out of the Impala?" Sam asked as Whitney smiled mischievously to her uncle which was his answer as she didn't say anything. "Well, that is my answer." He says to the girl.

"What happened to grandma?" Whitney asked as Sam froze at what she said. It wasn't that he didn't want to tell her what happened to Mary, but the fact that he didn't know how to tell her.

He decided to tell her because after all Mary is still family and Whitney deserves an answer and not just Dean wanting to avoid the subject.

"I don't remember exactly what happened to her. You sure you still want to know?" Sam asked as Whitney looked at her uncle her eyes twinkled a little, she nodded her head.

With that, he picked her up and brought her to the bed. He made room for both of them on the bed. "You don't have to if you don't want to." Whitney says to her uncle, as he moved a strain of the little girl's braid that Dean did.

It is the only hairstyle outside of a ponytail that he can do. They would switch it up between the two.

"You asked, Whit." Sam says to the little girl as she couldn't agree more to what he said. "Anyway, she died when I was a baby. Papa John found her on the ceiling of my nursery, but it was too late for him to save her." Sam says to her as she nods her head at what he said.

"Why was she on the roof?" Whitney asked her uncle as he lifted his gaze to her.

How is he supposed to tell her, when even he doesn't know.

"I don't know. how she got on the ceiling." Sam says to his niece as she nods her head understanding.

Just then the water turned off meaning that Dean was done in his shower. Whitney knew that she had to end this conversation because her dad doesn't like talking about his dad.

"When your dad gets done, get your jammies on." Sam says as Whitney nods her head at her uncle.

She went to where her little suitcase is where she has a couple sets of clothes. When Dean was done in the bathroom, is when Whitney went in and got her jammies on. She came out after she flushed the toilet.

"Get some sleep, munchie." Dean says as he cleared off the bed for his daughter. He picked her up which made her giggle as it is part of her bedtime routine. After she and Dean did their spin, he tucked her in, and he stayed by her knowing that it calms her and him. He knows that she prefers being close to him.

Dean eventually did fall asleep, and when he did, he held onto his daughter which made Sam think of Spencer and Malaika.

He really misses them, but he will see them when they get back from Seattle. Which is in a couple weeks.

───※ ·❆· ※───

While Whitney was still sleeping, Sam took this as an opportunity to call Mal and see how they are doing. Late at night, Mal had texted Sam telling her that they had gotten to Seattle safely.

Sam grabbed his phone and dialed Mal's number. He waited for it to ring and when he thought he would hear his girlfriend's voice it was actually his daughter's voice.

"Hey, baby." Sam says to his daughter, then Spencer had the audacity of screaming happily because she hears her dad's voice.

Sam immediately turned to the little girl that was sleeping on the other bed. He sighed when he saw her still asleep.

"I miss you daddy." Spencer says which made Sam's heart melt at hearing.

"How are you, baby?" Sam asked his daughter with a small smile as he saw from the corner of his eye of Whitney shifting in her dad's arms.

"I'm good, it like seven thirty here." Spencer says to her dad as Dean wasn't really awake, he just didn't want to get up.

He kissed his daughter's head tuning out Sam's conversation with Spencer. Dean moved a strain of Whitney's hair as he watched her sleep contently as she looks nearly innocent of everything around her, especially in the supernatural world.

She stirred in her sleep as Dean was whispering: "it's okay" in her ear which worked as she settled down. A couple minutes later, Dean was still with Whitney. He was too busy watching her, to notice that she had opened an eye.

What made him jump was feeling a pair of hands patting his head. When he saw it was Whitney, another thing made him jump. Seeing her face touching his.

"Shit." Dean whispered and Whitney burst into a fit of giggles at her dad like she thought this was funny. Which it was to her.

"Morning, baby." Dean says to her as she let out a little yawn. He kissed her head which made a small smile start curving at the corner of her lips. Dean started moving around in the bed which made Whitney have a pout.

All she wants is to be snuggling with her dad and he has the audacity of moving around.

How rude.

"What 'ime is it?" Whitney asked as another yawn escaped her lips, as she sat up on the bed before grabbing her stuffed bunny. Just when Whitney got up, that is when Sam ended his phone call with who he thought was Mal, but it was Spencer.

He sighed happily, as he saw from the corner of his eye of Whitney going over to her little suitcase, that she has of her own clothes, and her other prized possession her stuffed elephant. Which is what her dad got her when she was born.

Whitney says that her stuffed bunny and stuffed elephant are best friends, because Sam gave her the stuffed bunny and her dad gave her the stuffed elephant. Despite the two men being brothers they are each other's best friends. So, it makes sense to the little girl of why she says that her two stuffed animals are best friends.

Once, Whitney was done getting dressed in a pair of leggings that had tiny stars on it, and a kid's band t-shirt and then a Metallica hoodie, which of course Dean got her for Christmas last year. Sometimes Sam would question Whitney's outfit choices but then he realizes that Dean raised her, so it makes sense. To complete the look, she has a pair of black converses.

Just when Whitney put on her converse and tied then that's when her dad got out of the bathroom, and he grabs his jacket. He shrugs it on one shoulder as he crosses his room.

"I'm going to grab a little something to eat in that diner down the street. You want anything?" Dean asked his brother as he already knows that Whitney is going to come with him, which is fine because he made a deal with her that when he goes to get breakfast in the morning, she can be passenger princess. Which worked for her.

Dean knows how much she wants to be passenger princess again. She still would sell Sam to be the passenger princess.

THAT IS HER TITLE. NOT HIS.

It's official, ask Dean.

"No, I'm good." Sam says as Whitney grabbed her dad's hand.

"Abramian and Sunny are buying." Dean says with a cheeky smile on his face, as he picked up Whitney and held her tightly in his arms.

"Mm-mm." Sam says as he didn't really feel like wanting to get up from the bed.

Dean and Whitney, walk out of the motel room. He put Whitney down so that he could put on his jacket, as they cross the lot. He looks over and sees a police car where the motel clerk is talking to Deputy Jaffe and Deputy Hein, from yesterday. The clerk points at Dean who turns away and pulls out his cell phone.

Sam's phone beeps, as he looks at it, and presses a button then puts it to his ear. "What?" Sam asked.

"Uh, five-o, take off." Whitney's voice said through the phone. "They spotted Daddy, go Sammy." Whitney says to her uncle as she didn't give him a chance to say anything as she hung up on her uncle.

Just then the deputies approach the father and daughter, as he turns around and grins at them. "Problem, officers?" Dean asked.

"Where's your partner?" Deputy Jaffe asked the father of Whitney.

"Partner? What, what partner? Unless you want to count my daughter, then no." Dean says to the Deputy.

"So. Fake US Marshall. Fake credit cards. You got anything that's real?" The Deputy asked Dean.

"Me, sir. I am real." Whitney says which didn't help at the moment, as Deputy Jaffe looked at the girl which made her quiet.

"My boobs." Dean says as he grins, then Jaffe slams Dean over the hood of the cop car.

"You have the right to remain silent."

───※ ·❆· ※───

Whitney got stuck in the waiting room as Dean is being questioned as she is not happy. On the bright side, she still has her stuffed elephant in her hand. The other reason why she is not happy, is her not having her breakfast, which Dean had promised which would be chocolate chip pancakes. Today is not off to a good start.

Whitney being Whitney decided to not listen to the officers, when they told her to stay put, so she decided to go venture off, while she's at it, and make this a little bit enjoyable. In true, Whitney fashion, she is going to get into trouble.

She started walking around, ducking and or hiding behind things when she saw an officer coming, she peeked, before she had an idea. If she were to go outside and find a phone, she could send in a fake 911 call.

Her smile only grew more mischievously at the very thought of the trouble that she would do. On the bright side she would get her father back, so that is a bonus.

All she wants is to get her father back and then go and get breakfast. Breakfast is more important than anything in life, at least that's how Whitney sees it.

Breakfast and her dad are more important and her priorities of life.

Then again, she's six.

She had to walk around a bit as she could have sworn that she had seen one as she was looking out the window, but she wasn't so sure.

Luckily no one really questioned it that a six-year-old was walking around the little town by herself, which was a good thing because she would probably get sent back to the police station.

When she found a phone, she had to think of an idea of how she was going to reach it. She is too short to reach it on her feet, then she saw a chair at a little restaurant nearby. She decided on taking the chair so that she can reach the phone, when her plan worked, she decided on dialing the police station phone number.

"Hi, this is Lauren at the police station. How can I direct your call?"

"Hi, um, I would like to report something." Whitney says as she had made her voice sound older, so that it wouldn't be too suspicious to the person on the other line.

"What is that sweetie?" Lauren asked Whitney.

"Uh, there are shots fired at Whiteford Road. A man wearing a black jacket, jeans and some boots. I think. He had a rifle on him." Whitney says coming up with the lie, as it definitely wasn't true in the slightest.

"Okay, thanks sweetie. I will send the officers."

Whitney didn't give Lauren a chance to say anything else as she hung up the phone and she made a mad dash back to the police station before her dad left.

When she got to the police station, she caught her breath to make it less obvious. Just then she heard a bunch of people running, as she smiled as her plan worked. She hid behind a plant as she checked to make sure that her stuffed elephant was in her hoodie pocket, and when she felt it's trunk, she knew it was where she left it.

When the coast was clear, and the station was nearly empty she made her break of heading to the room where her dad is. She found a paper clip nearby and she took that. She was going to pick the lock of the door.

"What the?" Dean asked from the other side of the door. When he saw the familiar blonde hair that sported on his daughter's head he smiled. He was confused but didn't want to question it.

"Ready? Get your stuff and let go." Whitney says to her dad as he grabbed the journal and put it in his jacket for now.

"'Bout time, baby."

"You're welcome." Whitney says as Dean has his daughter on his back as she wanted a piggy-back ride of all the walking and running she just finished not too long ago.

She's no dummy. She's not walking.

"Thanks for getting me out, baby." Dean says as Whitney's head rested on her dad's shoulder.

"Wanna know what else I did?" Whitney asked him which made him slowdown of his walking.

"Is it illegal? Should I question?" Dean asked his daughter which made her poke his cheek.

"I made the fake 911 call."

"What did you say this time?" Dean asked, as this wasn't the first time that the girl had to make a fake 911 call. She has only done it five other times in the past.

She knows how to make them as Dean had taught her how. "Shots were fired from Whiteford Road." Whitney tells her dad as he only looked proud of his daughter for doing that. "The funny thing is that is on the other side of town. It should stall them for a bit."

"When's the next town, baby?"

"Do, I look like Uncle Sammy to you? I don't know."

"Okay, sassy, it was just a question." Dean says with a smile on his face, Whitney turned her head so that she kissed her dad's jaw.

"I think that's a sign, right there." Whitney says as Dean turned to where his daughter looked at and he walked towards the sign.

"I'll call Sammy." Dean says as he pulled out his phone as him and Whitney are on the outskirts of town.

"Dean where are you? Where's Whit?" Sam asked from the other end of the call.

"Listen, we got to talk." Dean tells his brother.

"Tell me about it. So, the husband was unfaithful. We are dealing with a woman in white. And she's buried behind her old house, so that should have been dad's next stop." Sam rambles without giving Dean a chance to speak.

"Sammy, would you shut up for a second?" Dean asked his brother.

"I just can't figure out why dad hasn't destroyed the corpse yet." Sam says to his brother.

"Well, that's what I'm trying to tell you. He's gone. Dad left Jericho." Dean says to his brother which made Sam confused for a second.

"What? How do you know?" Sam asked his brother.

"I've got his journal." Dean says as Whitney is next to her dad.

"He doesn't go anywhere without that thing." Sam says.

"Yeah, well, he did this time." Dean says.

"What's it say?" Sam asked.

"Ah, the same old ex-Marine crap, when he wants to let us know where he's going." Dean tells Sam, as the younger Winchester knew what it meant.

"Coordinates. Where to?" Sam asked.

"We're not sure yet." Dean says.

"I don't understand. I mean, what could be so important that dad would just skip in the middle of a job? Dean, what the hell is going on?" Was the last thing that Whitney partially heard from her uncle before she heard.

"Sam? Sam!" Dean raises his voice but nothing from Sam.

"Daddy, what's wrong?" Whitney asked her father.

"Sammy's in trouble." Dean says, Whitney and her dad walk off.

At the abandoned house

The car stops in front of Constance's house. The engine shuts off and so do the lights. "Don't do this." Sam says to Constance as she flickers, as her voice is sad.

"I can never go home." Constance says.

"You're scared to go home." Sam says.

Sam looks back and sees Constance isn't there. He glances around and back and sees her in the shotgun seat. She climbs into his lap, shoving him back against the seat hard enough to recline the seat, as Sam struggles.

"Hold me. I'm so cold." Constance says to Sam.

"You can't kill me. I'm not unfaithful. I've never been!" Sam says.

"You will be. Just hold me." Constance says.

Constance kisses Sam as he continues to struggle, reaching for the keys. She pulls back and disappears, a flash of something horrible behind her face as she vanishes. Sam looks around for a moment, then yells in pain and yanks his hoodie open. There are five new holes burned through the fabric, matching to Constance's fingers, she flickers in front of him, her hand reaching into his chest.

"Stay baby, don't come out until I say." Dean says to Whitney, just then he pulls the trigger on his gun shattering the window and startling Constance. Dean approaches, still firing at her. Constance glares at him and vanishes, then reappears, as Dean keeps firing until she disappears again. Sam manages to sit up and start the car.

Whitney had backed away enough so if something happens, she won't get hurt, at least not too bad.

"I'm taking you home." Sam says as he drives forward. Dean stares after the car. Sam smashes through the side of the house. Dean hurries through the wreckage to the passenger side of the car.

"Sam! Sam! You, okay?" Dean asked his brother. "Can you move?" Dean asked again.

"Yeah. Help me?" Sam asked as Dean leans through the window to give Sam a hand.

Constance picks up a large, framed photograph seen when she brought Troy here, the woman is Constance, and the children are presumably hers.

Dean helps Sam out of the car. "There you go."

Dean closes the car door. They look around and see Constance, she looks up. She glares at them and throws the picture down. A bureau scoots towards Sam and Dean, pinning them against the car. Whitney is nearby but she is quiet, as she had walked through the rubble of Sam driving through the house. The lights flicker, Constance looks around, scared. Water begins to pour down the staircase. She goes over. At the top are a boy and a girl from the photograph. They hold each other's hands, and they speak in chorus.

"You've come home to us, Mommy."

Constance looks at them, distraught. Suddenly they are behind her, they embrace her tightly and she screams, her image flickering. In a surge of energy, still screaming, Constance and the two children melt into a puddle in the floor. Sam and Dean shove the bureau over and go look at the spot where Constance and her children vanished.

"So, this is where she drowned her kids." Dean says as he then suddenly felt a body around him as it was Whitney. He held his daughter's hand.

"That's why she could never go home. She was too scared to face them." Sam says to his brother

"You found her weak spot. Nice work Sammy." Dean says as he slaps Sam on the chest where he's been injured and walks away. Sam laughs through the pain, as Whitney smiles at her uncle.

"Yeah, I wish I could say the same for you. What were you thinking shooting Casper in the face, you freak?" Sam asked his brother.

"Hey. I saved your ass." Dean says as Highway to Hell by AC/DC starts to play. Dean leans over to look at the car. "I'll tell you another thing. If you screwed up my car?" He twists his body to look at Sam. "I'll kill you."

Sam laughs, as Whitney follows her dad, as he is inspecting the Impala, like he would be inspecting her if she had any injuries.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Whitney is sleeping in the backseat of the Impala, as her dad and uncle are in the front seats talking about the coordinates. They are keeping their voices down so that Whitney doesn't wake up. Every once in a while, Dean will look at Whitney through the rear window to see if she's okay, he would smile each time seeing that she is just fine.

When they were done talking about the coordinates, which seemed to be a good thing because like Whitney, Dean is tired, and he needs sleep.

"How far is it?" Dean asked his brother.

"About six hundred miles." Sam says.

"Hey, if we shag ass we could make it by morning." Dean says as Sam sighs, as Dean looks at his brother. "You not coming?"

"The interview is in like, ten hours. I gotta be there."

"Is this what you want? We made a fucking good team out there. You want to put that away and become a lawyer or some shit?" Dean says being careful not to raise his voice too much because Whitney is sleeping in the back and because she is a light sleeper.

Sam sighs at his brother, as he knows why he's acting like this. "Look, Dean. I'm sorry, okay. That was before you came to get me, okay."

"Okay, and? What you don't want to be lawyer geek anymore?"

"It's like I want to, because I didn't want to be a hunter. It's the life I wanted but, I'm having second thoughts about it now. Especially since what we have gone through." Sam says to his brother as Dean slows down and comes to a stop, on the side of the road.

"You want to be a lawyer geek or not?" Dean asked his brother as Sam was hesitant before he shook his head.

"No, but can we stop by the apartment. I want to get cleaned up and showered, and new change of clothes." Sam says as Dean nods his head before driving off again.

After they got to the apartment as Sam had just closed the door. "I'll be back in a bit." Sam says to his brother.

Dean heard moving coming from the back seat and he turned to see his daughter looking at him with one eye open. "Come 'ere baby." Dean says as Whitney got up and maneuvered her way to the front, where her dad is.

When she was within arm's reach Dean grabbed her and pulled her onto his lap, as her back was on the steering wheel. Dean only ever really did this when he needed to talk to Whitney and have a talk with her.

"So, with this happening. I need you to do one thing, baby."

"I'm guessing that Uncle Sammy isn't leaving?" Whitney asked her father before she had cut him off of the last part he was going to say.

"I'm afraid not baby. Don't worry, you will still be passenger princess just not every day, okay." Dean says to Whitney as he knows how much it breaks her heart especially since this isn't going to be a one-time thing, and that her uncle isn't going to be leaving. At least until Mal and Spencer want to come back.

"Can we strap him to the roof?" Whitney suggested to her dad which made him chuckle, but he then shook his head which made Whitney's smile falter a bit.

"'Fraid that can't happen baby. But trust me, don't find ways of getting him to leave either." Dean says which now made Whitney have a frown on her face.

"You're no fun." Whitney says to her dad, which made him lean forward and put his forehead on top of hers.

"I know. I have you, I have to be no fun." Dean says to Whitney as he kissed her head.

A couple minutes later, the father-daughter moment was coming to an end as Sam walked out of the apartment with two duffle bags of stuff, one of clothes and the other one his computer and stuff like that.

Whitney wasn't going to fight it this time and she knew the drill, as she climbed in the backseat, with some help from Dean. He didn't want her to hurt herself, which she has done that before.

But they don't want to talk about it.

Ever.

Sam put his stuff behind his seat, as he then closed that door and got in the passenger seat. Whitney sighed a little as she looked out the window as the sun was slowly coming out. It made Whitney smile as sometimes when Ophelia was still alive, Dean would take Whitney sometimes and they would watch the sun coming from over the trees.

It was a moment that the two of them would never forget.

Whitney came to the conclusion that Sam isn't going to leave but she still doesn't like sharing her dad with anyone.

But she will get used to it.
