Flashback
Kim Wonhu stepped into the university, her excitement palpable. The campus buzzed with the energy of new beginnings, and she felt a thrill of anticipation. But fate had other plans. A sudden impact rocked her world—a hard smack to the head. She whirled around, ready to confront the culprit.
“Yah! Choi Seungcheol!” she exclaimed, her voice echoing through the corridor. “How dare you smack my head like that?!”
Seungcheol, the mischievous perpetrator, grinned. “I did. What are you going to do? Cry and run to your mom?”
Wonhu’s indignation flared. Without hesitation, she retaliated. Her hand met Seungcheol’s head with a satisfying thud, sending him stumbling.
Seungcheol scoffed, “Kim Wonhu, you truly have the nerve to hit me back?”
“Yeah, I do have the nerve to smack you. What will you do? Cry and run to your dad?” Wonhu retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Wonhu continued her determined stride toward the classroom, her words echoing in the hallway, “Run, Choi Seungcheol, if you don’t want to end up in detention!” The challenge hung in the air, daring him to defy her.
Seungcheol hesitated for a moment, torn between pride and the desire to prove himself. The challenge hung in the air like a gauntlet thrown down. With a determined glint in his eyes, he clenched his fists and dashed after Wonhu, the sound of his footsteps echoing through the empty hallway. The race was on, and detention be damned.
Later that day
WONHU
“Yah! Kim Wonhu!” Seungcheol’s voice echoed through the hallway, but I remained resolute, striding away toward the cafeteria with the new student.
Jeonghan, the new student, raised an eyebrow. “He keeps shouting your name. Why ignore him?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” I replied cryptically, leaving Jeonghan puzzled.
“Wonhu-yah!” A familiar voice called from behind—it was my friend Joshua Hong. “What’s going on, Josh?”
Joshua’s eyes narrowed. “Why is that jerk yelling your name?”
I sighed. “It’s a long story. Let’s grab lunch first, and I’ll fill you in.” Turning to Jeonghan, I added, “By the way, this is my friend Hong Jisoo.”
Joshua extended his hand. “Hi! You’re the new student, right? I’m Hong Jisoo, but you can call me Joshua too!”
In the cafeteria

Wonhu, Joshua, and Jeonghan were enjoying a peaceful lunch when an unexpected interruption occurred—a forceful smack on their table.
Looking up, they saw Seungcheol and his friends standing there. His voice cut through the calm atmosphere: “Yah! Kim Wonhu!”
Annoyance etched across her face, Wonhu retorted, “What?! Can’t I eat my lunch in peace?”
Seungcheol’s chuckle was infuriating. “Peaceful lunches? On my watch? Tsk, hell nah!”
Wonhu leaned in, her eyes blazing. “Listen up, Choi Seungcheol. If you think you own me, you’re delusional. Back off!”
Seungcheol’s eyes widened, momentarily taken aback by Wonhu’s fiery response. The cafeteria fell silent as the tension hung in the air. Joshua and Jeonghan exchanged glances, unsure how this confrontation would unfold.
But Wonhu wasn’t done. She leaned even closer, her voice low but intense. “Listen carefully, Choi Seungcheol. I won’t tolerate your possessiveness or your entitled behavior. We’re not characters in some melodramatic K-drama. I am my own person, and you don’t get to dictate my life.”
Seungcheol’s jaw clenched, and for a moment, it seemed like he might explode. But then he surprised everyone by stepping back, a smirk playing on his lips. “Feisty,” he said. “I like that.”
Wonhu’s eyebrows shot up. “What?”
He winked. “You’ve got guts, Kim Wonhu. Let’s see how long you can keep up this act.”
And with that, he turned on his heel, leaving Wonhu seething and the cafeteria buzzing with gossip. As he walked away, Joshua leaned in and whispered, “Well, that was unexpected.”
Jeonghan nodded. “Definitely. But something tells me this drama is far from over.”
Flashback Ends
And indeed, Jeonghan’s intuition proved accurate. The collision between Choi Seungcheol and Kim Wonhu was just the beginning—a spark that would ignite a fire neither of them could extinguish.
As the battle lines blurred, their rivalry morphed into something more complex, more dangerous.
