【Flashback】

Cassie was sitting down on a bench in a park, reading one of her books. She glanced around her, three teens messing around with something. A fine white powder.

She then zoned out, remembering something that had happened to her a year and a half ago.

《 Beginning of Flashback 》

It was during the end of her junior year of high school when summer break was coming up. She had met this small group of seniors. At first they seemed like the average annoying, weird, and clumsy bunch. But everything seems average and normal at first in the beginning of a great mistake, doesn't it?

Apparently this particular group was involved with drug deliveries throughout the city. Now, you're thinking. "You were smart and steered away from this, right?" I wish that was the case. I actually volunteered to help make a drop off. Who doesn't love being young and stupid? Wanting to feel the rush of risking getting caught by the police is what made me want to get involved.

"Hey, Cam you sure no one is going to find that package?" a sixteen year old Cassie asked a white brunette boy with brown eyes, whom was sitting next to her in a old pick up truck. The sun had just went down and it was time to make the run.

"Yeah, I'm positive, Cas. Chill. Everything is all good, nothing bad is going to happen." he said, starting the truck up.

"You know, something bad always happens after someone says that." she said, slightly paranoid, but excited to make the run.

"Just hush and lets get on with this." he said, driving out of the driveway of a house. She did keep her mouth shut for the half the drive until she began getting bored a third of the way there.

"Can we turn on the radio? I'm bored." she said, messing with the radio, turning on a rock channel. "Hell ya!" she said, hearing Wild Child by Joan Jett and the Black Hearts come on the radio.

"You like that?" he asked, chuckling as he allowed her to listen to the song until it was over. He then changed it to a station that had a hip-hop song playing.

"Really? You like that?" she asked, rolling her eyes, switching it back to the rock channel, hearing Uncomfortable by Halestorm. "Let Lizzy Hale speak to you." she said, snickering.

He just simply rolled his eyes and let her listen to the music on the station while driving the rest of the way. Once they got to a small auto repair shop, bringing the truck to the back. A woman came out the back, holding a clipboard, "Who sent you?" she asked, getting ready to write a name down on the clipboard.

"Samuels." Cam replied, awaiting instructions on where to put the stuff. "About damn time. Follow me." she said, leading them to a storage shed, "Unload it here."

"Yes, ma'am." Cam said, getting out of the truck along with Cassie. "So we get to go home after this?" Cassie asked him, grabbing a hold of one side of the package as Cam grabbed the other. "Yes, Cassie." Cam said with a bit of annoyance in his voice, lifting the package out of the truck's bed. They then brought the package over to the shed, putting in a corner, covering it with a tarp that was in there.

"Alright, let's go." Cassie said, wanting to get home and sleep.
"No, just in a minute." Cam said, getting a knife out of his back pocket and going over to the package.

"What are you doing?" she asked, watching him cut open the package and grab three packets of fine white powder.

"Dude, that's hers. You shoul-" she began but was cut off by him asking, "You can drive right?" he asked, walking over to the truck.
"What? No, you're not taking that crap and making me drive." she said, quickly following after him.

"Yeah, I'm taking it." he said, snickering at her weak attempt.

"Listen to me, you ass. I'm not risking-" she began, but was cut off once again by him.

"You already are risking being taken in by the police. You have ever since you started talking to us." he said, getting inside the passenger side of the truck, opening a packet.

"I swear to God. . ." she grumbled in frustration as she got into the driver's seat, slamming the truck door once she got in. "I'll freaking cut you if we get pulled over." she said, starting up the truck.

"Fair enough." Cam said, chuckling, white powder on his upper lip.

《 End of Flashback 》

Thankfully she never did caught when taking that package and bringing her high friend back home. Something she was fortunate to drop the instant she had the chance. But there was always a part of her that freaked out at the thought that if some investigation on those runs were to be undergo. . .it would lead them to her association with those people. "Man, what the fuck did I have to prove?" she asked herself outloud. She shook her head and went back to reading the book.
