"The sunset is so beautiful, right?"

Mina smiled at Jungkook as she kept her eyes on the beautiful view. However, Jungkook's mind wandered somewhere else. This reminded him of Yerin, when she was looking at the sunset in the ferris wheel. Everything seemed to remind him of Yerin. He sighed while dropping his eyes to his feet. He wasn't able to control his feelings. His feelings for Mina were long ago gone, now he developed these feelings for Yerin instead. Somehow, these feelings were much stronger.

"Let's go and eat ice cream, Jungkook," Mina said as she walked toward the small ice cream shop, but stopped when she felt that Jungkook was still sitting on the bench. Mina frowned and walked back toward him before taking her seat beside him. He kept his head down while his fingers fiddled with each other.

"Jungkook?"

He looked up at her but Mina's smile disappeared when she noticed his red teary eyes. She asked, "What happened, Jungkook? Why are you crying?"

He shook his head before dropping his eyes to the ground again. Mina cupped his face and made him look at her before asking, "Jungkook, please tell me. It hurts to see you like this."

Tears rolled down his eyes as he heard her words. She was so sweet and caring to him and she definitely deserved someone better than him. He held her hands and looked into her eyes. He uttered with his shaky voice, "I'm really sorry, Mina. I can't live in this guilt anymore."

She furrowed her eyebrows at his statement. He continued, "I'm sorry for doubting you. You are really good Mina, but I'm not good at all. You deserve a great man not someone cheap like me. I want to confess something, Mina. I was cheating-"

"That you were cheating on me?"

He looked at her shocked while she smiled sadly at him. She looked at the sky as she said, "I know that you were cheating on me, Jungkook. Do you think I'm blind? I noticed whatever was happening between you and Yerin."

A single tear rolled down her eyes as she chuckled sadly. She said, "Do you know how much it hurts to know that my boyfriend was cheating on me with my own best friend?"

Guilt surrounded Jungkook's mind and he muttered apologies to her while saying, "I'm really sorry, Mina. But, there is no fault of Yerin. It was me who manipulated her. She never supported me. Believe me-"

"I know, Jungkook. She is my best friend," Mina looked at him before continuing, "It's not your fault either, Jungkook. It was all my fault. I made you believe that I was cheating on you. You were just paying me back. It was not your fault."

She sobbed and continued after a few minutes, "But I'm okay with it, Jungkook. I love you and I'm ready to accept you. I don't want to lose you. You don't need to be guilty."

Jungkook stared at her for a few minutes before shaking her head, "Why are you giving me a second chance, Mina? I don't deserve it."

She held onto his hand as she whispered, "But I want to give you another chance. I want you to love me like before."

Jungkook glanced at her teary eyes before saying, "I'm sorry, Mina, but I don't think I would ever be able to love you like before."

Her grip on his hands loosened slightly as few tears rolled down her eyes. He said, "I can't love you like that, Mina. My feelings for you have already faded away. To be honest, I've started loving Y-Yerin."

She froze at her place and stared at the ground continuously. Jungkook's heart felt less heavy after uttering all those feelings out. He was kind of relieved that he told everything to Mina. But, his guilt increased as he looked at her face. She cried silently making him feel more low of himself.

He wondered how selfish he was. He just knew how to get things according to himself. He knew that it was somewhere wrong that Mina did the drama to cheat him, but he was more wrong to cheat back. He remembered Yerin's words when she said that they would regret it in the end. Isn't it happening the same way?

Mina heavily sighed before whispering, "Then go, Jungkook. Go and find your love. I'll not blame you because feelings aren't in our hands. We can't control ourselves to love a specific person; our hearts just follow the one they want to love," she looked at him before smiling a little, "I hope you find your love and peace in Yerin."

Jungkook smiled slightly at her before pulling her in a hug. He broke the hug and held her hands, "I'm really sorry for hurting you, Mina. I really hope that you get a perfect man for yourself. A person who will love you more than me, more than anyone else."

She chuckled at him before hitting him with her small fist, "Shut up! And get lost now. If you did something to my bestie, I'll bury you alive."

He smiled at her before giving one last hug to her. He left from there while Mina smiled at his disappearing figure, her eyes glistening with tears.

"Good luck, Kook."

Jungkook smiled slightly to himself as he stepped in the elevator. He thought that he had already cleared half of the mess. Now, he had to do something about Eunwoo. He shook his head and decided that firstly he would tell about his feelings to Yerin. His heart raced as the thought crossed his mind. Would she accept him?

The doors of the elevator opened and he stepped out of it. He walked toward his apartment but furrowed his eyebrows when he found a familiar figure sitting on his doorstep with her hands covering her face.

He quickly walked toward Yerin, making her look at him. His heart ached as he looked at her red nose and bloodshot red eyes. She immediately lunged toward him as soon as she saw him to pull him into a hug. He became stunned as she continued to shed tears in his embrace.

He helped her to get inside his own apartment and made her sit on the couch. He quickly poured a glass of water for her and made her drink it. She choked on the water and coughed hardly while he rubbed her back.

"Calm down, Yerin. What happened to you?" he asked her while she cried endlessly. He asked her multiple times which made her answer after calming down, but the statement made him widen his eyes.
