{what is and what should never be}
Dean is driving and the impala has new plates, 'CNK 80Q3', moments later Dean's phone rings. "Yeah?"
Ana is by the window as she opened up a curtain and is looking outside. She sticks her head out of the window and sees a cop car outside. "There's a cop car outside."
"You think it's for us, baby?" Dean asked her.
"I don't know." Ana says to Dean, as Amelia and Sam are somewhere.
"I don't see how baby. I mean, we ditched the plates, the credit cards." Dean says as Ana sighs, as she continues to watch the cop car, and she took a breath when she saw it drive away.
"They're leaving, false alarm." Ana breathes out.
"Well, see. Nothin', to worry about baby." Dean says to her.
"Yeah, being fugitives? Frickin', dance party." Ana says sarcastically.
"And who is dating me again?" Dean asked which made a sarcastic laugh escape from Ana's lips.
"Shut up." Ana said to Dean which made him laugh.
"And by that answer you know I'm right." Dean says to her.
"Fine, when you get back no cuddles for you." Ana retorted which made a gasp escape from Dean's lips.
"Hey! That's not fair, sweetheart, and you know it." Dean says to Ana.
"Nah, it's fair game, honey." Ana says to Dean, which made him groan. "You do it to me, so if anything, it is fair game."
"You know, what I love you too." Dean says to her, as they shared a laugh, which felt good for the two of them.
Ana is reading lore of a demon called Djinn, and on top of the books that Ana has, is John's journal, which is open to the same subject. "So, do you have anything yet, baby?" Ana asked Dean.
"Are you kidding me? How could I? You got me sifting through like 50 square miles of real estate here." Dean says to Ana.
"Well, that's where all the victims disappeared." Ana says to Dean.
"Yeah, well, I got diddly-squat. What about you?" Dean asked her.
"Just one thing. I'm pretty sure of it now." Ana says as she pulls one of the books closer to her. "We're hunting a Djinn." Ana says.
"A freaking genie?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, basically. But not enough to grant wishes unfortunately." Ana says which made Dean frown a little at what she said.
"Well, that sucks. I was hoping it would." Dean says to her. "So, where do they lair up?"
"Ruins usually. Uh, bigger the better -- more places to hide." Ana says to Dean.
"You know, I think I saw a place a couple miles back. I'm gonna go check it out." Dean says.
"Wait, no, no, come pick me up first." Ana says to Dean.
"Baby, I'm sure it's nothing. I just wanna take a look around." Dean says to her, as she sighs.
"Fine but call me when you get done." Ana says to Dean, as even though she didn't see it he nodded his head at her.
"I will, and I will get some food too." Dean says which made Ana smile through the phone.
"You know me so well, don't you? How'd you know I was hungry?" Ana asked him as she took a drink from her Dr. Pepper.
"I had a hunch." Dean says which made Ana smile. "Was I right?" He asked her, as she groaned as a reply. "I take that as a yes, love you babygirl."
"Love you, too." Ana says as she hangs up the phone, as she took another drink of her Dr. Pepper.

The impala pulls out and comes to a stop in front of the factory, where he is looking for a supposed Djinn, well see if one is there at least, he then gets out of the car with a flashlight in his hand. He opens the door and enters the factory, which has a creaky door. He walks through what appears to be an abandoned office, with a typewriter, file cabinets, and other stuff. There is a dripping water sound, but otherwise it is empty.
He looks back and forth in it a few times and then starts walking back the same direction he came from but this time in the hall. On his right among all the old things and suddenly there is a figure watching him, but Dean doesn't see it and walks on, his way.
Suddenly, the mysterious figure attacks him, pinning him against the window wall. Dean drops the flashlight and the Djinn slams Dean's right hand up against the wall, which forced Dean to drop his knife. That's when Dean gets a first real look at the Djinn, which has a bald head with curling blue tattoos all over its face. The Djinn opens its left hand, which begins to glow in blue, at the same time, that the Djinn's eyes start glowing. The Djinn puts its glowing hand on Dean's forehead, and his eyes roll up, and take on a faint blue hue.

A TV showing an old black and white movie of a monster carrying an unconscious woman, that's when Dean wakes up, bare chested and wearing a necklace that isn't the amulet, he sees a woman next to him, with what looks like his amulet, but he can't tell, what it is right away. Dean gets dressed is walks through the dark apartment. Ana is in another location, and she gets a phone call on her phone, she answers it, and sees it's Dean and looks at her phone. "Dean?"
"Ana?" Dean asked.
"What's going on?" Ana asked.
"I don't know. I don't know where I am." Dean says.
"What? What happened?" Ana asked.
"Well, the uh, the Djinn, attacked me." Dean says, as Ana tried not to laugh at what he said.
"The gin? You're... drinking gin?" Ana asked.
"No, asshat. The Djinn... the scary creature. Remember? It put its hand on me and then I woke up... next to some hot chick..." Dean says, as Ana snorted.
"Who?" Ana asked as she laughed. "Amelia?" She says. "You're drunk. You're drunk dialing me." Ana says to him.
"I'm not drunk. Quit screwing around!" Dean says to her.
"Look, it's late. Alright, just get some sleep, and, um, I'll...see you tomorrow, okay?" Ana says.
"Wait, Ana! Ana!" Dean says but it was too late as Ana hung up, and flips her phone down, and laughs a little.
"Yeah, he's drunk." Ana says more so to herself, as she sighs and slams shut a book.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean put his phone back in his pocket and looks around. He sees an envelope, and picks it up, sees that it is addressed to: Amelia Harvelle, 1. 53 Barker Ave, Lawrence, KS, 66044. "Lawrence?" Dean asked himself confused, as the next two envelopes are addressed to Dean, same address as Amelia's. "What the hell?" He asked himself quietly.
"Honey? What are you doing up?" Amelia says.
"Hey, Amelia...uh, I just uh..." Dean says.
"Can't sleep, huh?" She asked.
"Yeah." Dean says.
"Well, why don't you come back to bed, and let's see if I can do anything to help." Amelia says, with a smile on her face.
"Sure, yeah, in a minute. You -- you, you go ahead." Dean says to him.
"Okay, don't stay up too long." Amelia says to him, as she kisses him, warmly.
Dean goes to a bookshelf, and sees a photo of Amelia, and another of Amelia and Dean, embracing each other. He turns and sees something shocking -- another photo and drops it, the glass shatters as it breaks and Dean turns on his heel and leaves the room.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean drives in the impala across the street, he shuts off the engine and goes over and sees that it is the old Winchester house from his childhood, before his mother died from the yellow-eyed demon.
Dean knocks on the door and rings the doorbell two times as well. The porch light turns on and the door opens. "Dean?" The woman says as that's when Dean looks up as he stares at her for a few seconds, not believing his eyes. His voice is broken when he talks to her, on the verge of crying.
"Mom?" Dean asked.
"What are you doing here? Are you alright?" Mary asked.
"I don't know." Dean says.
"Well... come inside." Mary says as Dean comes in and Mary closes the door as Dean can't keep his eyes off of her. "Amelia just called and said you just... took off all of a sudden."
"Let me ask you a question. When I was a kid, what did you always tell me when you put me to bed?" Dean asked.
"Dean, I don't understand--" Mary says but Dean cut her off.
"Just answer the question." Dean says to her.
"I told you angels were watching over you." Mary says.
"I don't believe it." Dean says as he walks over and hugs her tightly.
"Honey, you're scaring me. Mary says as Dean backs off. "Now, just tell me what's going on."
"You don't think that wishes can, can really..." Dean says as Mary looks at him confused.
"What?" Mary asked him confused on what he is going with this.
"Forget it." Dean says as he hugs her again. "Forget it, I'm just uh... I'm happy to see you, that's all." Dean says as he almost starts crying but pulls it together and releases the hug, looking down at Mary.
There are pictures of John and Mary smiling with Dean and Sam as kids in front of them. There is another picture of Dean in a cap, looking into the camera. Another picture of Dean and his prom date, which is clearly taken at prom. Another of Sam as a graduate. Dean picks up another picture, it is black and white and shows John dressed in baseball clothes, with a cap and a baseball bat in his hand, ready to swing, as he smiles at the camera.
"Dad's on a softball team?" Dean says to himself, as he turns around and sees Mary looking at him seriously. "Dad... Dad's softball team. It's...funny to me." Dean says.
"He loved that stupid team." Mary says, as she looks at him. "Have you been drinking?"
"No, I haven't, Mom." Dean says.
"I'm just gonna call Amelia and have her come pick you up, okay?" Mary says to him.
"Don't -- don't do that. Don't do that. I wanna stay here." Dean says.
"Why?" Mary asked.
"Because I-I miss the place. It's okay -- you can go to bed. Okay?" Dean says as he goes over to the couch, and sits down, and looks around a bit. Mary, walks up to him, and strokes his face tenderly, like how Ana does sometimes.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Mary asked.
"I think so." Dean says.
"Okay." Mary says as she bends down and kisses her forehead, like all mothers do. She starts out the room and stops by the door. "Get some rest, I love you."
Mary smiles and then goes to bed. Dean stays on the couch to the sound of birds singing outside. When his eyes focus it's on a picture of the whole family, the boys as kids, and John is wearing a Santa hat, looking very happy. Dean opens his eyes completely, sitting up, confused, he dials a phone.
"Hey, it's Ana, if I can't come to--" Ana's voice message says as that's when Dean hangs up, he has his head in his hands.
"I miss you baby, I do." Dean says as if Ana is actually there with him right now.
───※ ·❆· ※───
"Well, I don't think I've seen you in my class before." The professor says.
"You kiddin', me? I love your lectures. You... you make learning fun." Dean says as they share a laugh.
"So, what can I do for you?" The professor asked.
"What can you tell me about Djinn's?" Dean asked as minutes later him and the professor are standing over a lot of books.
"Well, a lot of Muslins believe the Djinn are very real, and they're mentioned in the Quran--" The professor says.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Get to the wish part." Dean says as the professor looks at him.
"What about it?" The professor asked.
"Do you think they could really do it?" Dean asked.
"Um... uh no. No, I don't think they can 'really do it'. You understand these are mythic creatures?" The professor asked.
"Yeah, I know. I-I know. I know, but uh... I mean in the stories. You know, say you had a wish, uh. But you never even said it out loud. Like that, uh... that a loved one never died. Or that uh, something awful never happened."
"Supposedly, yes. I mean, they have godlike power. They can alter reality however they want. Past. Present. Future." The professor says.
"Why would the Djinn do it? What, self-defense? Or maybe, it's not really evil." Dean son.
"Son?" The professor asked. "Have you been drinking?"
"Everyone keeps asking me that. But, uh... no." Dean says.
Minutes later, Dean opens the trunk to the Impala and only old magazines, and paper cups and a rag in there, no guns or other weapons. "Well, who'd'a thought, baby. We're civilians." He then closes the trunk and looks over at the building.
A girl is standing in a white shirt, skirt and shoes, staring at him. Dean's smile fades, as he senses something. He looks at her for a little while and then starts to cross the street, walking towards her.
Suddenly, a car screeches to a halt as it avoids running into Dean. The driver hits the horn, and Dean holds out his hand as he looks at the car. When he turns back towards the girl, she's gone. He looks puzzled for a moment, then turns back to the Impala.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean takes a bite out of a big sandwich, grunting, 'cause of the goodness. "Mmm." Dean says. "This is the best sandwich ever!"
"Thank you." Mary says from the other room.
"I tried getting a hold of Ana earlier. Where - where - where is she?" Dean asked.
"Oh, they'll be here soon." Mary says as Dean is confused.
"They?" He asked more so to himself.
"Sweetie, I-I... Don't get me wrong. I'm thrilled you are... hanging out here... all of a sudden." Mary says as she strokes Dean's chin. "But uh... shouldn't you be at work?" Mary asked.
"Work?" Dean asked.
"At the garage?" Mary asked.
"Right. The garage. It's where I work, yeah. No, I-I-I've got the day off." Dean says, as he takes another bite again, as he looks out the window. "That lawn looks like it could use some mowing."
"You want to mow the lawn?" Mary asked.
"You kidding me? I'd love to mow the lawn." Dean says.
"Knock yourself out. You'd think you'd never mowed a lawn in your life." Mary says, as Dean shrugs, as he looks all kinds of happy about the prospect of doing so.
Dean starts the lawnmower. He starts to mow the lawn, looking really happy, clearly enjoying it. He's not very adept at it, as he looks up and sees the neighbor across the street putting out the garbage. He waves to him like a regular guy does. The neighbor waves back, and then Dean continues mowing. But what he doesn't realize is that he is being watched. Not by anyone, but something.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean sits on the steps of the porch, drinking a beer, feeling happy. A car drives up and parks at the curb. "I don't believe it." Dean says to himself.
He gets up to go to the greet, Sam and Ana, who are getting out of the car. Dean attacks Ana with a hug while Sam takes out the luggage from the trunk. "Hi, to yourself Dean." Ana says to Dean, as she gave him an awkward pat on the back.
"Where'd you guys come from?" Dean asked.
"We flew in from California.." Sam says to his brother, as he looks down to see the beer in Dean's hand, as Ana's face scrunched up at seeing it also. Even in the alternate reality, Ana still hates beer, well at least one thing stayed the same.
"So you started your mom's birthday off to a great start." Ana says semi sarcastically, as Den gave her a look, as her and Sam walked away and towards the house. "Go figure." Ana grumbled when Dean was out of earshot as Sam had a smile on his face, at what she said, knowing that she wasn't wrong at all.
"Not wrong." Sam says as he pressed a kiss on the top of Ana's head, as Dean is behind them with his mouth gaped open at the sight.
"Great the lore geeks are back in town." Dean grumbled as Ana and Sam didn't hear him.
───※ ·❆· ※───
They are all sitting at a restaurant, Dean gets served a plate with asparagus spears bound into an upright sheaf. "Wow, that... looks awesome." Dean says.
"Alright, to Mom..." Sam says as they raise their glasses. "Happy birthday."
"Happy birthday." Ana says to Mary.
"Thank you." Mary says, as they clink their glasses in a cheer.
"To mom." Dean says, as Dean watches, Sam and Ana share a kiss and he smiles.
"I was really worried about you last night." Amelia says to Dean.
"Oh, I'm... I'm good. I'm really good." Dean says.
"Okay. What do you say, later, we get you a cheeseburger?" Amelia asked.
"Oh, god, yes." Dean says as Amelia smiles. "How did I end up with such a cool chick?" He asked.
"Just got low standards." Amelia says, as Dean laughs as he kisses her.
"Alright. Ana and I have another surprise for Mom's birthday. You wanna tell 'em?" Sam asked as Ana lifts her left and and there is an engagement ring on her finger, as Mary laughs happily.
"Oh my God! That's so wonderful." Mary says, as she gets up to hug Ana, who's also gotten up. Sam and Amelia get up as well, while Dean still sits in his chair.
"Congratulations." Amelia says to Ana.
"Thanks." Ana says.
"Congratulations." Amelia says to Sam.
"Thank you." Sam says to Amelia, as Mary walks over and hugs Sam.
"I just wish your dad was here." Mary says.
"Yeah, me too." Sam says.
Over Sam's shoulder is the same girl that Dean saw on campus earlier, when he was almost hit by a car. She looks much filthier this time. Dean sees her, brushes past Sam and walks over. Sam turns around when Dean hits his shoulder while passing by. Dean, passes a lot of people and when he passes the last one, the mystery girl is gone. Dean turns around and looks at his family, as they stand looking at him wondering what's up.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The door of the house opens as a picture of John holding a very, very big fish in his hands, looking happy at what he has in his hands. The woman laugh as they enter. "So, Dean, what was uh... what was all that back at the restaurant?" Ana asked Dean..
"Ah...I..I thought I saw someone. I'm sure it's nothing." Dean says to her.
"Well, I had a lovely birthday. Thank you. Goodnight." Mary says as Amelia turns to Ana.
"Goodnight, come on Ana." Amelia says, as Ana turns to Amelia.
"I'll be up in a couple minutes." Ana says to Amelia as when they leave, she turns back to Dean.
"Come on, it's not even nine o'clock yet. Let's uh... let's go have a drink or something." Dean says to Ana.
"Yeah, maybe another time." Ana says.
"Come on, Ana. You're engaged, let's go celebrate." Dean says to her, as they are in awkward silence.
"What's gotten into you?" Ana asked.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked.
"I mean, this whole warm, fuzzy ecstasy-trip thing." Ana says.
"I'm just happy for you, Annie." Dean says as Ana gives him a look.
"That's another thing. Since, when do you call me 'Annie'?" She says. "We don't really talk that much and well, it's kind of weird honestly."
"You're my friend." Dean says as he almost thought about saying 'girlfriend' but she would have looked at him like he's fucking crazy, as in this reality she is engaged to Sam.
"Yeah, okay. My friend, when you snaked my ATM card, bailed on Sam's graduation, and after you hooked up with Amelia." Ana says to him with a slightly raised eyebrow. "Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night." She says as Dean blinks at her.
"Why is me hooking with Amelia a problem?" Dean asked her.
"For one she was my prom date, as me and Sam weren't dating at the time." Ana says to him.
"Yeah, well that does sound like me. Hey, well, I'm sorry about all of that." Dean says.
"No, well, that's alright okay. You know I'm not asking you to change. I guess that we don't really have anything in common, you know." Ana says to him as he gave her another blinking look.
"Yes we do. Yes we do." Dean says to her.
"Which is, hunting." Dean says.
"Dude, are you nuts?" Ana asked him. "Don't answer that, yes you are."
"Rude, well I think we should do it sometime...I think you'd be great at it." Dean says to Ana.
"Get some rest." Ana says as she turns away and walks away from Dean.
───※ ·❆· ※───
After the awkward conversation with Dean. Sam and Ana are in the bedroom upstairs, as Ana is snuggled up against Sam in his arms. He has his arm around her as he pressed a kiss on the top of her head (like how dean would, but ya know obviously she doesn't know that, just go with it). Sam's lips lingered on her head. "So, what did you and Dean talk about?" Sam asked Ana.
"Nothing really, even after this time he is weird." Ana says as Sam nods his head at what she said.
"Ain't that the truth, but lately he's been more weird than usual." Sam says to her, as Ana couldn't help but agree with that.
"Why must your brother be weird?" Ana asked as Sam shrugged his shoulders at what he said.
"I have no clue." Sam says to her as he pressed a kiss on her forehead, then his lips moved to her. "I love you babygirl." He says to her in the kiss.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean is on the couch at his and Amelia's place, he has his feet on the table, drinking a beer and watching TV. "The olive oil must have a purpose here." The woman says on the TV says.
"Yeah." The man says.
"Yeah?" The woman says.
"I'll take the olive oil and we'll just put a, just a touch of olive oil, okay? That's all." The man says.
"Oh." The woman says.
"Can't make any mistakes with this machine. Now, for liquid, I could use water, but I'm gonna use a little spinach-" Dean changed the channel to the stock market, then to a cartoon, and then to the news.
"And today marks the anniversary of the crash of United Britannia Flight 424." The news reporter says which gets Dean's attention and he leans forward as he continues to watch. "Indianapolis residents held a candlelight vigil in memory of the hundred and eight people who lost their lives."
"No, no. I stopped that crash." Dean says, as moments later he is in front of his laptop reading headlines that relate to cases he has solved with Sam and Ana.
Indianapolis Sun, December 5th, 2005 - FLIGHT 424 CRASHES, 108 DEAD, Tragedy shocks the nation as emergency crews continue to search rubble.
Nine Children Comatose; Mystery illness baffles doctors at Dane County Hospital.
Parents Mutilated in bed... Brutal double homicide in quiet residential area causes shock.
GIRL DROWNS IN HOTEL POOL; Mother devastated after discovering daughter drowned.
Dean catches a glimpse of a passing figure, a woman in white, maybe the same woman he has seen twice now. He gets up to see what it is. He opens his bedroom closet door and sees several female corpses, hanging. He hears a sound and turns around to see another woman, with a wound in her head, flickering in front of him. He pants, looking shocked, and turns back around to the closet - to see nothing out of the ordinary.
Dean is standing by John's grave, which it has on the grave:
JOHN E. WINCHESTER
1954-2006
LOVING HUSBAND & FATHER
REMEMBER FOREVER
"All of them. Everyone that you saved, everyone Sammy, Annie and I saved. They're all dead. And there's this woman, that's haunting me. I don't know why. I don't know what the connection is, not yet anyway. It's like my old life is, is coming after me or something. Like it, like it doesn't want me to be happy. Course I know what you'd say. Well, not the you that played softball, but... 'So go hunt the Djinn. He put you here, it can put you back. Your happiness for all those people's lives, no contest. Right?' But why? Why is it my job to save these people? Why do I have to be some kind of hero?" Dean says as he begins to cry while talking. "What about us, huh? What, Mom's not supposed to live her life, Sammy's not supposed to get married? Why, do we have to sacrifice everything, Dad?" Dean says as there is a pause before he continues. "It's..." Dena says as his lips tremble. The sky starts rumbling, as the tears begins to fall on Dean's cheek.

Sam and Ana were asleep in their bed, as their bodies are tangled together, as in his sleep, he pressed a kiss on the top of her head. There is a car outside, as a dog barks, then there was a noise downstairs. Which woke Ana up from a dead sleep.
She managed to get out of Sam's arms, without waking him up, and she goes downstairs quietly, with a baseball bat in her hand. She stops at the doorway, leaning looking into the living room. He sees the window open and under it, someone is in one of the cabinets. Ana goes in swinging. The person then gets up and counterattacks, throwing her on the floor, as it is revealed to be Dean.
"That was so easy." Dean says.
"Dean? What the hell are you doing here?" Ana asked as Dean gets up, letting Ana get up off the floor.
"I was looking for a beer." Dean says as Ana raises her eyebrows at what he said.
"In the China cabinet?" Ana says to him as she crosses her arms over her chest. Ana goes to turn on the light and there is a box of their parent's silverware on the floor, open. "That's your mom's silver." Ana says. "You broke into the house to steal your mom's silver, that's low even for you."
"It's not what it looks like, okay? I didn't have a choice." Dean says.
"Oh really? Why? What's so fucking important you gotta steal from your own mother?" Ana asked Dean.
"You want the truth?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, I do." Ana says.
"I owe somebody money." Dean says.
"Who?" Ana asked.
"A bookie. I lost big on a game, I gotta bring him the cash tonight." Dean says.
"I can't believe you're my brother-in-law." Ana says.
"Ana, I'm sorry." Dean says as Ana rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, whatever." Ana grumbles to him.
"I'm sorry that we don't get along. And I wish to tell I could stay and fix it. But I gotta do this. People's lives depend on it." Dean says to her, as he turns around and takes a knife from the box.
"What are you talking about, Dean?" Ana asked.
"Nothing. Just forget it. Just uh. hey, tell Mom I love her." Dean says as Ana frowns seeing that something is up, as Dean goes for the door. "Dean."
Dean turns around and looks at Ana. "I'll see you, Annie." Dean says as he walks out the door, taking one last look at the house and Ana. Ana stands in the living room where Dean left her, confused.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean is sitting in the car with the engine going, thinking. Suddenly, the passenger door opens, and Ana gets in the car. "Get out of the car." Dean says to her.
"I'm going with you." Ana says.
"You're just gonna slow me down." Dean says to her.
"Well, tough. I don't give a shit." Ana says to him.
"This is dangerous, and you could get hurt." Dean tells her.
"Yeah, and what you gonna do about it?" Ana asked him to give him that look that he knows all too well.
"I don't understand why you're doing this?" Dean asked.
"Because you're a pain in the ass, and I want to be nice." Ana retorted to him.
"Bitch." Dean says.
"W-Why are you calling me a bitch?" Ana asked him.
"Never mind." Dean says to her.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Ana looks down on a bag on the seat between them. "What's in the bag?" Ana asked.
"Nothin'." Dean says, as he was lying, even she knew that.
Curse her for knowing that.
"Nothin'." Ana says as she grabs the bag and begins to open it.
"You don't wanna do that." Dean says.
Ana takes out what was in the bag, as it's a container of blood. "What the hell is this?" Ana asked.
"Blood." Dean says flatly.
"Yeah, no shit. What the hell is it doing in here?" Ana asked.
"You don't really want to know." Dean says.
"No, I-I do wanna know. I really do." Ana says.
"Yeah, well you're gonna find out sooner or later. I needed a silver knife dipped in lamb's blood." Dean says as Ana gave him a confused look.
"You needed that, because?" Ana asked.
"Because this creature, a Djinn, and I have to hunt it." Dean says.
"Okay, stop the car." Ana tells him.
"I know how it sounds." Dean says to her.
"Great, that's wonderful. Now stop the car." Ana says.
"It's the truth, Ana. Alright, there are things out there in the dark. There - there - there are bad things. There are nightmare things. And people have to be saved and if we don't save them, then nobody will." Dean says.
"Look, I wanna help you, alright. I-I really, really do, but you're having some psychotic breakdown." Ana says.
"I'm not going to a rubber room, Ana? We got work to do." Dean says.
"I don't want you to get yourself hurt." Ana says, as Dean almost slammed on the brakes when she said that. He couldn't believe the words that he was hearing if he is being honest.
"What? You want to protect me?" Dean asked her, as Ana nodded her head at what he said.
"Yeah, of course I'd protect you." Ana says to him.
"Well, in that case, why don't you just sit tight, look pretty and try not to get us both killed." Dean says as he starts the radio, and now both him and Ana's song blares out. It brought a lot of memories that only Dean knew. He'd pay good money to have his Ana back, to have his babygirl, to have his sweetheart back.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean looks over at Ana who is asleep, for a moment he is debating if he should kiss her, but she isn't dating him in this reality, unfortunately. He'd do anything right now to have her kiss him, or him kissing her. He picks up his flashlight and shines it on Ana's face, as she wakes up with a start. "Where are we?" Ana asked.
"Well, we're not in Kansas anymore." Dean says to Ana turns to him with a weirded-out look on her face.
"Since when do you watch the Wizard of Oz?" Ana asked him as Dean turned to her.
"It's your favorite movie." Dean says to her as he looked at him weird, she was definitely judging him at the moment.
"How do you know that?" Ana asked him as it almost felt like a punch in the gut. Granted, yes this is a different world and him and Ana aren't together, but it kinda broke his heart.
For a couple moments he didn't know what to say next, because he knew that he had to swallow his hemotions right now, which is definitely not what he wanted to do. "Never mind." Dean muttered to Ana, which made her eye him weird, like she was skeptical of his answer.

Dean and Ana are walking in, with their flashlights in their hand. "See? There's nothing here, Dean." Ana says to him as Dean starts walking down the hallway, same way as last time when we got attacked as Ana follows closely behind. "Look, Mia's gotta be worried sick about you, Dean. Come on, let's - let's just go." Then there was a sound that caught Ana's attention.
"Shh!" Dean says to her, moments later there are more sounds as Ana finally starts to take it seriously.
"What the fuck was that?" Ana asked him.
"Stay behind me, and keep your mouth shut." Dean says to her as she rolled her eyes as he heard some muttered words coming from Ana, which made him smirk, despite the situation, he was honestly amused. Even in an alternate reality her sarcasm and witty remarks are still the same, at least to him at least.
Dean and Ana approach and while the camera moves backwards there are bodies hanging from the ceiling appearing before them. It's the saw bodies that Dean had seen in his closet earlier.
There is a drained blood bag hanging next to one of the bodies. "What the hell?"
Dean looks further to the right, and there the woman that Dean has been seeing multiple times, hanging like the bodies. They approach her and see another blood bag next to her, filled with blood. Her eyes are open, but she looks close to dead. "It's her." Dean says as Ana looks at the bag and at her wrists that are tied, just like the others, she begins to moan and whimper.
"Dean, what's going on?" Ana asked Dean, as Dean grabs her arm.
"Shh!" Dean says as that's when the Djinn is coming out. When it comes out from behind a wall and walks up behind the woman, Dean and Ana are gone.
"Where's my Dad?" The woman says as she is sobbing. "I won't tell..." The woman says as she looks at the Djinn. "Don't." She moves her feet away from the Djinn while Dean and Ana are hiding, as she's still crying. "Where's my Dad."
The Djinn touches her face. "Sleep." The Djinn says as there are blue flares that go over the woman's cheek as he strokes her. The Djinn's eyes are a bright blue color. "Sleep... sleep."
The woman's head falls forward, her eyes are still open and her feet relaxes, falling forward again, The Djinn rests his face against her arms, touching her right arm and breathing heavily with eyes closed. He then goes for the blood bag, pulls out the straw and puts it to his mouth, drinking her blood.
Ana sees this and gags in disgust, as her face scrunched up in disgust. The Djinn hears this and turns around right away, it's eyes flash blue and he begins to move towards their hiding place. When he gets there, where Dean and Ana were the two of them are gone.
The Djinn walks up some creaky steps as Dean and Ana are standing below them, looking up, following his steps. When a door closes in the background, Ana begins to breathe loudly. "This is real? You're not crazy?" Ana says as Dean thinks outloud.
"She didn't know where she was. She thought she was with her father." Dean says, as him and Ana, walk up to the woman again. "What if that's what the Djinn does? It doesn't grant you a wish, it just make you think it has."
"Look, that thing could come back, alright?" Ana says as Dean walks past Ana in the opposite direction of the woman.
He looks up at a light bulb and it starts to flicker in brighter light. There are flashes of Dean, hanging by his wrists like the woman, Dean starts to gag with little trouble breathing, probably shook for starting to realize what's going on. "Dean, please." Ana says as Dean breathes heavily.
"What if I'm like her? What if I'm tied up in some place? What if all this is in my head?" Dean says as he thinks out loud again.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean walks up to the woman. "I mean it could, you know, maybe it gives us some kind of supernatural acid, and then just feeds on us slow." Dean says.
"Dean, that doesn't make sense. Okay?" Ana asked.
"What if that's why she keeps appearing to me? She's not a spirit. It's -- it's like more and more like I'm catching flashes of reality. You know, like I'm in here somewhere, and I'm -- I'm catatonic, and I'm taking all this stuff in but I, but I can't snap out of it." Dean says.
"Yeah, okay, look. Yeah, yeah, you're right. I was wrong. You're not crazy, but we -- we -- we need to get out of here. Fast." Ana says, as she starts to pull Dean with him. Dean pulls her arm, loose from Ana. Ana looks at him and throws his arms out like, 'what?'
"I don't think you're real." Dean says to Ana, as Ana starts to get agitated as she sucks in a breath. "You feel that?" Ana asks as she grabs Dean by the arms. "You feel this? I'm real. This is not an acid trip. I'm real, and that thing is gonna come down here and kill us for real. Now, please--" Ana says.
"There's one way to be sure." Dean says as he pulls out a silver knife, as Ana's eyes widen at him, as she backs away from him.
"What are you doing?" Ana asked him.
"It's an old wives' tale. If you're about to die in a dream, you wake up." Dean says to her, as she gives him yet another weird look.
"That's crazy, alright?" Ana says.
Dean has a determined look on his face. "Maybe."
Ana starts walking towards Dean. "You're gonna kill yourself." Ana says as Dean holds out the knife and his other hand to stop him. "Okay."
"Or, I'm gonna take up. One or the other." Dean says.
"Okay, this isn't a dream, alright. I'm here, with you, now. And you're about yo kill yourself, Dean." Ana says.
"No, I'm pretty sure. Like 90% sure. But I'm sure enough." Dean says as he turns the knife on himself, takes both his hands to handle, ready to thrust it into himself.
"WAIT!" Ana yells as suddenly Mary walks up next to Dean, in the same nightgown that she died in. Behind Ana, Amelia appears.
"Why'd you have to keep digging?" Ana asked as Dean looks back at Mary, as Sam appears on his right side. "Why couldn't you have left well enough alone?" Ana asked as Dean looks around. "You were happy."
Mary comes up in front of Dean. 'Put the knife down, honey." She says.
"You're not real." Dean says as he has tears in his eyes. "None of this is."
"It doesn't matter. It's still better than anything you had." Mary says.
Dean looks at her when she said that. "What?" He asked.
"It's everything you want. We're a family again. Let's go home." Mary says.
Dean shakes his head. "I'll die." He says as his voice breaks. "The Djinn'll... drain the life out of me in a couple of days."
"But in here, with us, it'll feel like years. Like a lifetime." Mary says as Dean looks at Ana who half-smiles and nods at her. "I promise." Mary says as she takes his chin in her hand as he looks down at her. "No more pain." She says as she strokes his cheek. "Or fear. Just love and comfort. And safety. Dean, stay with us." Mary says as he strokes his other cheek and he leans into her hand, closing his eyes. "Get some rest."
"You don't have to worry about Sam anymore." Ana says as Dean looks over at her "You get to watch him live a full life."
Mary steps away, as Amelia walks up to him, taking his face in her hands, kissing him. "We can have a future together. Have our own family. I love you, Dean. Please."
Ana walks up to him now. "Why is it our job to save everyone? Haven't we done enough?" Ana asked him. "I'm begging you." Sam says as he breathes in. "Give me the knife."
Dean looks at Amelia, Ana and Mary, with tears in his eyes. Then he looks away looking at the floor, he raises his head, looking at Ana. He thrusts the knife into himself, as blood immediately comes out of his mouth.
"DEAN! DEAN! Dean." Ana says as she walks up to Dean, as it is the real Ana this time. His Ana. Dean is hanging from the ceiling like the other women, with his eyes open. A blood bag hangs next to him. "Oh, God. Come on." Ana says as she shakes him a little. "Hey, wake up. Please." Ana says as she softly begs him, as Dean grunts a little, as his eyes begin to focus on Ana. "Hey." Ana says to him.
"Ahh.... Auntie Em. There's no place like home." Dean says as a small laugh escaped from Ana's lips.
"Why are you quoting the Wizard of Oz?" She asked as the difference from now he quoted it, versus when they were in the car, was her laughing a little. "I thought I lost you." Ana says as she pulls out the tube in Dean's throat.
"You almost did, baby." Dean says to her.
"Oh, God." Ana says as she breathes heavily. "Let's get you down." She says as she reaches up and starts to cut through the rope as Dean winches over the pain and grunts a little. Then there are two bright blue eyes next to Ana in the shadows, and then the Djinn comes out.
That's when Dean sees the Djinn beside Ana, just then Ana turned around going to the Djinn with the knife. The Djinn has Ana for a moment, which gets her to drop the knife. Dean tries to pull himself loose, pulling on the rope that Ana had begun cutting.
The Djinn gets the upper hand on Ana and is holding her by the throat. The Djinn's hand is glowing blue, and he is moving it towards Ana's forehead, but Ana is struggling, pushing against his wrist to stop him. The Djinn opens his fist, and a blue light begins to appear around it's hand. When its hand is almost at Ana's forehead, Dean thrusts the knife into the back of the Djinn and turns it and there the blue light goes out of its eyes. It closes its eyes, its head rolls down and when Dean pulls out the knife, it falls to the ground Dean.
Ana breathes heavily from being strangled and Dean doesn't look too good; he is pale with red-rimmed eyes.
Dean walks up to the girl that he kept on seeing. He puts his hand to her neck, feeling for a pulse. A tear rolls down one of her cheeks. "She's still alive!" He says as he hands the knife to Ana. "Annie..." Dean pulls the tube out of her neck as Ana cuts the rope. Dean catches her as she goes down. "I gotcha. I gotcha. We're gonna get you out of here, okay? I gotcha." Dean says as the girl makes a small wheezing sound. "I got you."
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean is sitting on the edge of the hotel bed that him and Ana shared, as he is flipping through a magazine. Ana is on the phone with the hospital of the girl that they had found. 'Okay, uh, thank you so much for the update. Okay, bye." She says as she hangs up and moves towards Dean. "Okay, uh, that was the hospital. Girl's been stabilized. Good chance she's gonna pull through."
"That's good." Dean says to her.
"Yeah." Ana says as she sits beside him. "How 'bout you? You doin' alright?"
"Yeah, I'm alright." Dean says as he clears his throat. "You should have seen it. Our lives, my weird ass life."
"So, apparently, I was with Sam huh, and Mia was with you?" Ana asked him, as Dean nodded his head.
"Yeah, it was weird me not calling you Annie." He says to her as he pressed a kiss on her cheek. "I just wanted a life where Mom never died, me and Sam never went hunting." He says as she nodded her head.
"I'm glad you dug yourself out. Most people wouldn't have had the strength; most would have just stayed." Ana says.
"Yeah... lucky me. I get it wasn't real, but I just wanted it to be real. A life I never had. Well, never got the chance of having." Dean says as Ana nods her head at what he said. "I wanted to stay. I wanted to stay so bad. I mean, ever since Dad... all I c-all I can think about is how much this job's cost us. We've lost so much. We've... sacrificed so much."
"But people are alive because of you." Ana says as Dean scoffs at what she said. "It's worth it, baby. It is. It's not fair, and... you know, it hurts like hell, but... it's worth it." Ana says as Dean looks at her, then down again, sadly pensively.
"Why do you say that?" Dean asked her as her head was still down, as she softly cupped his cheek and pressed a soft kiss on his lips as their foreheads were touching.
"Because you have me." Ana says to him. "That's why." She says as they kissed each other again.
Dean breaks the kiss as he has a small smile on his face, as their foreheads are touching once again. "God, I wanted to do that so bad." He says to him.
"Glad I could help." Ana says to him as he pressed another kiss on her cheek.
