Welcome To PCA
Abby
Abby sighed as she looked out the window of her Dad's car. The smell of the waves brushing up against the sand filled her nostrils. This is definitely not home, she thought. New York didn't have all that California did, but she didn't care, she missed it. So very much. She peered at the water once more, her eyes taking in the breathtaking scenery. Prussian blue waters, swamp green grass, it seemed like a dream......to most, of course.
"You excited?" Her Dad asked her, not taking his eyes off the road. "I'm not over the rainbow jumping with glee," She replied with an eye roll. "Look, maybe this is for the best," Her Dad said with slight annoyance in his voice. "Yeah, whatever," She scoffed a bit, rolling her eyes again. Her dad sighed and continued to drive to the school.
Before Abby realized it, they were approaching Pacific Coast Academy, her new boarding school. Her dad pulled over and she slammed the car door as she began to step foot on the ground. "Now remember what I told you. Be nice and approachable and don't let sports get in the way of your studies. I love you," Her Dad said and briefly hugged her. "Yeah, love you too," Abby muttered with annoyance.
Her dad finally let her go and drived away. Abby scanned her new school with judgement swimming in her eyes. She didn't know what to think of it, or what to think of anything at all. All she knew was that the only reason she was there was because her parents couldn't stand her. As the negativity over flooded her brain, she couldn't help but wonder if maybe this school would actually be good for her.
All of a sudden, a boy on his bike crashed into the flag pole. Abby's dark brown eyes widened and she went over to see if the boy was okay. "Are you okay?" Abby and some blonde girl asked him in unison. "Um, yeah, I was just, uh...Checking the flag," He said nervously. "Checking the flag?" Abby asked with a stern yet amused look on her face.
"It's a flag," He said, bouncing the flag up and down. Abby rolled her eyes at him and the blonde girl started to talk. "Um, I think your arm's bleeding," She said to the guy. "Oh, yeah, that's alright. You know, that—-that's what happens when um—- I get wounded," he stated nervously.
"Yeah, no shit," Abby retorted, making the guy give her a glare. The blonde girl laughed and introduced herself as 'Zoey'. "I'm Abby," Abby said with a half smile. "Chase," the guy said. "So are you two, like, new to here at PCA? Okay, that was a stupid question, I mean why else would you be here? I guess you could be, like, dropping someone off, or, uh.....you know what? I'll bleed, you guys talk. What's up?" Chase said awkwardly, making Abby laugh. He gave her an awkward smile and looked away.
"Uh, nothin' much," Zoey said. "I could say the same as her," Abby said, shrugging. "And yeah, we're new students here," Zoey added. "Cool, yeah, I think it's great that PCA's finally letting in girls, and you guys probably do, too, being girls and all. No offense," Chase said, scratching the back of his neck.
"None taken," Abby replied. "It's okay, we're used to it, been girls our whole lives," Zoey added, making Chase chuckle. "Okay, I've got a map, and I'm just, uh—-your dorm is Butler Hall," Zoey's Dad said, sunglasses in his mouth. "I'm just not sure where, um—-Hello," Her Dad gestured to Chase and Abby.
"Hello," Chase replied. " 'Sup," Abby added. "Uh, Dad, this is Chase, she's Abby. Chase, Abby, this is my Dad," Zoey said, gesturing toward her Dad. "Nice to meet you.....uh, sir," Chase said, Abby just nodding. "Yeah, um, you know, I, uh—I pass by Butler on the way to my dorm, and if you wanted me to walk you two there......" Chase trailed off awkwardly. "Ha-ha, no," Zoey's Dad said sternly.
"I don't speak for the girl, though," Zoey's Dad said, gesturing to Abby. Zoey gave him an amused look filled with annoyance and her Dad started talking. "That's—-that's—-that's uh—-that's be great, sure," Her Dad said awkwardly. "Um, I'll just take Dustin to his dorm, then," Her Dad added.
"I'll just, uh, turn, Okay. Take care of yourself, okay?" He said, pulling Zoey into a hug. "Dad," Zoey said with annoyance.

Chase began to tour Abby and Zoey around the building, showing them every little detail. "And over there's the science room, where they have science classes," Chase said, looking towards the science room. "And uh, there's the library—" He started, Abby interrupting him. "Ooh!" Abby said with a sudden beam of excitement. Chase peered over his shoulder to look at the brunette.
"Sorry, I like books," Abby said with a shrug. "Yeah, I hear they got some books in there," Chase said a bit awkwardly. "Yeah, no shit, Sherlock," Abby said mockingly. Chase ignored her and went on. "And let's see, cafeteria, auditorium, Jim," Chase pointed out quickly. "That's the gym?" Zoey asked, clearly shocked. "Oh, no, that's my bud, Jim. What's up, Jim?" Chase said awkwardly, waving at Jim.
"What's up, Jim?" Zoey said, doing the same as Chase. " 'Sup, Jim?" Abby said, rolling her eyes. "I like Jim," Zoey said. "Yeah, Jim's good people," Chase said casually. "You mean a good person?" Abby asked, correcting him. Chase rolled his eyes at her. "Yeah, whatever," He said, annoyed. "Hey, lighten up, bushhead," Abby said, giving him a playful punch in the arm, which would probably leave a big bruise.

Zoey opened the door to her and Abby's dorm. Zoey's mouth was agape, she was in shock. "Room 101, here you go," Chase said to the two girls. "Whoa, this our room?" Zoey asked, gasping. "Oh my God, we can see the ocean from here!" Abby said, sounding a bit happy. Her hands braced the handrail of the balcony as she gazed at the beige buildings, the swamp green trees, and the Prussian blue waters she could just barely see.
"And even more important, your own mini fridge," Chase said with some excitement. "Wow!" Zoey exclaimed, walking towards the mini fridge. "And a sandwich.....from 1988," Zoey said awkwardly, making Abby scoff. "It doubt it's from that long ago," Abby said with a huff. Zoey shrugged and Chase threw the sandwich across the room.
"My hero," Zoey said sarcastically. "Well, um, I better get going, be careful," Chase said awkwardly. "Why be careful?" Zoey asked curiously. "Well, it's the first day of school and a lot of kids like to pull pranks," Chase explained. Zoey looked amused as she said this: "Like hanging your bike from a tree?"
"Huh? Oh, man! Put that down, you little freak! Oh, I gotta go! Later," Chase said, dashing out the door. "Oh, and I forget to say, 'Welcome to PCA' " Chase said with an amused look in his green eyes.
Abby gave him an eye roll. "Dude, go save your bike," She said, clearly annoyed. "Right," He said, dashing out the door faster. Zoey sighed happily and took another moment to let her eyes adjust to her new dorm room. Suddenly, the two girls heard a scream coming from the bathroom. Out of curiosity, Zoey went to see what the problem was, Abby trailing behind her.
"Hi, did you just scream?" Zoey asked the girl in the bathroom. "I don't know, did it sound like this—-" The girl screamed again, making Abby turn around to cover her ears. "Yeah," Zoey said, annoyed. "Yeah, that was me," The girl said, paranoia filling her brown eyes.
Abby gave her an eye roll and let Zoey do most of the talking. "So, what's the matter?" Zoey asked. "That's the matter," The girl said, gesturing towards a urinal. "So? It's just a urinal, it's not like it's going to kill you. This used to be an all boys' school, after all," Abby ranted, obviously annoyed.
The girl gave her a glare and started to talk again. "This is a girls' dorm and this is clearly not for girls," The girl said. "Who cares? Just use it like a regular toilet or something," Abby said, rolling her eyes. "You are so gross," The girl told her. "Thanks," Abby said sarcastically, making the girl roll her eyes and ignore her.
"Okay, well, we're gonna head back to our room," Zoey said, starting to walk away. "Wait, what room are you in?" The girl asked Zoey curiously. "101," Zoey simply answered, making the girl shriek. "Wow, you scream a lot," Zoey said, covering her ears. "I'm in 101!" The girl said, making Abby widen her eyes.
"Great..." Abby muttered sarcastically. "I wasn't talking to you," the girl said, making Abby scoff. "Clearly. I think I got the hint, Sparky," Abby said, rolling her eyes. "We're roommates! Should we hug? Let's hug," The girl said, completely ignoring Abby and hugging Zoey instead. "I'm Zoey, by the way, and this is Abby," Zoey said, a bit weirded out.
"I'm Nicole," The girl said with enthusiasm on her face. "Wow, who'd have thought we'd meet by a urinal?" Zoey asked, amused. Abby rolled her eyes and let the other two talk. "Shh! Don't say that out loud!" Nicole said, making Abby roll her eyes yet again. "It just creeps me out," Nicole added, shuddering. "You act like it's the first time you've seen one of these," Zoey said, amused. "Oh, please, I wasn't born yesterday." Nicole said with a scoff.
"Yeah, we can tell," Abby chimed in, making the girl give her a glare. "I know about boy stuff," Nicole said, ignoring Abby. "Good for you," Abby said sarcastically. Nicole ignored her and asked Zoey how they sit on the urinal. "Oh, please, you're too pure for that, Sparky," Abby said, patting her or more like slapping her on the back.
"We'll talk later, come on," Zoey said, grabbing Nicole's wrist, leaving Abby to trail behind them. When they reached their dorm, they met with an unfamiliar face. "Oh, hi," Zoey said to the girl. "You know, you don't just get this bed because you got here first," The girl replied. "Uh, yes she can. She did get here first, after all," Abby said with a hiss, making the girl smirk. "Fair point. I like you, you're fun," The girl said.
"Oh, and Sparky, I'm taking your bed," The girl said with a sarcastic smile. "Why does everyone keep calling me that?" Nicole said with annoyance. "Because you look like it," Abby said, making Nicole gasp. "You do know that all of my stuff is there," Nicole spoke up to the girl, who just gives Nicole a look that says 'what makes you think I care, get your stuff off my bed'.
"That I'll be moving," Nicole replied, seemingly scared of the girl. "I'm Zoey, this is Nicole and Abby," Zoey said, changing the subject. "I'm guessing you're......cranky," Nicole said, making Abby give her the side-eye. "Nice one, Sparky," Abby said sarcastically. "Dana. Look, I wanted my own room, but they said I'm required to share. So I guess I'm stuck with you three. Just stay out of my way and out of my stuff and we won't have a problem," Dana said, annoyed as she walked out the door.
"She's awesome," Zoey said sarcastically. "She took my bed," Nicole said, trying to take in what just happened. "Oh, well, you want to go check out the campus?" Zoey asked, trying to change the subject. "Okay. Wait, do you hates this top? I hate this top," Nicole said annoyingly. Abby rolled her eyes once again. Rooming with Zoey wouldn't be bad, but with Nicole? How would she survive?
"It's a cute top," Zoey said, just trying to please Nicole. "It's dorky," Nicole said in response. "It's a little dorky," Zoey admitted. "That's so mean," Nicole said, making Abby roll her eyes. "You and I are not going to get along," Abby chimed in.
Zoey sighed and spoke up. "Hand me those scissors," Zoey said with her hand out. Nicole handed her royal blue scissors, to which Zoey scans Nicole's top to decide how to fix it.
***
"How did you do this?! You're like a wizard with scissors. I'm gonna call you the scissor wizard!" Nicole beamed. "No, you're not," Zoey replied. "Okay...." Nicole replied awkwardly. They walked around campus for a while, gazing at the scenery and whatnot. As they passed by a few shrubs, some boys playing basketball on the court caught Zoey and Abby's attention.
Initially, they kept walking with Nicole, but they took a few steps back, glancing over at the boys playing basketball. For some reason, it intrigued Abby to see that there were no girls there. That's shitty, she thought. "Okay, remember, tryouts are this Saturday. So, don't be late if you want to make the team, okay? See you then," The coach said, capturing Zoey and Abby's attention.
"You hear that? We should try out," Zoey said to Abby and Nicole. "For basketball?" Nicole asked. "No, for the air," Abby replied sarcastically, making Zoey roll her eyes. "Yeah, you play sports?" Zoey asked curiously. "Does shopping count as a sport?" Nicole asked. "No," Abby and Zoey said in unison. "Then no," Nicole said, making Abby facepalm herself.
"Well, we want to try out, come on," Abby said, Zoey and Nicole trailing behind her. They approached the boys playing basketball. One in particular caught Abby's eye, the way he looked so shocked and judgmental. "Hi, guys," Zoey said happily, waving a bit. "Hey, what's up, Zoey? Abby?" Chase replied.
"What are they doing here?" That guy asked. "Your ass," Abby sassily replied, making Zoey look at her and the guy to glare at her. "We're thinking about trying out for basketball," Zoey added, making the guy laugh. "Well, you'd better think some more," The guy said with a smirk on his face, making Abby scoff.
"Excuse me?" Abby asked, trying to bottle up her rage. "Uh, ladies, it's really cute that you want to try out, but there's no girls' team at PCA," The guy said, just angering her even more. "There doesn't have to be. There's no law that girls can't be on the same team as guys," Abby said, obviously angered. "Yeah, doesn't work that way," The guy said, making Abby even angrier.
"Well, it does now," Abby sassily said, capturing the guy's attention. "Excuse me?" The guy asked. "You heard me," Abby said, smirking. "What's the matter, Logan, you got a problem with girls?" Another boy asked him. "They make cute cheerleaders," Logan said, making all the guys laugh.
"And you'd look cute dead," Abby said with a smirk, making all the boys go silent. Zoey looked from side to side and pinched her. "Ow!" Abby muttered, rubbing her arm. Zoey then whispered to her: "Look, he's a jerk, but would you calm down?"
"Well, what do you propose?" Abby whispered back, annoyed. "A little game," Zoey whispered, smirking. Abby sighed and rolled her eyes. "Okay, asshole, tell you what. I'll round up my best five girls and you round up your best five guys, and we'll see who's better at basketball," Abby said, going along with Zoey's plan. "You serious?" Logan scoffed at her.
"Abby....." Nicole trailed off, giving her a look that said 'please don't do this'. "Deadass," Abby replied, raising her eyebrow a bit. "Fine," Logan said. "Good," Abby said, crossing her arms. "Friday?" He asked. "Sure," Abby replied with an eye roll. "You're on," Logan replied. "Whatever," Abby replied. "Wanna make out?" Logan asked with a smirk.
"You wish," Abby said with annoyance, Zoey tugging on her arm to turn her around. Nicole gave a little wave to Logan and Abby kicked her in the shins. "C'mon, Sparky," Abby muttered to Nicole. Logan watched them walk off with amusement on his face. He smirked at Abby.
"That one's feisty," Logan said to Chase. "Yeah, no kidding," Chase said, chuckling a bit, yet at the same time, he felt bad for Abby and Zoey. "But she's hot," Logan said with a smirk. "I'm sorry, what?" Chase asked, confusion spread across his whole face. Logan laughed and pat him on the shoulder. "I said she's hot," Logan replied with another smirk.

Later on the court, Zoey and Abby start to practice with the girls. " 'K, how many of you have ever played basketball on a team or at least well?" Abby asked, dribbling the ball a bit. Only a few raised their hands and Abby sighed in annoyance. "How many of you would say you're good at basketball?" Zoey added, making only one girl raise their hand. "Um, I once made a basketball explode," One of the girls, Quinn, said which made everyone look at her.
"How?" Nicole asked, seeming more like she didn't want to know. "Chemicals..." Quinn awkwardly replied. "Okay........." Zoey said. "Look, this is stupid, there is no way we are going to beat the boys at basketball," A few girls said, making the whole crowd murmur in agreement.
"Look, first of all, this isn't about beating them, it's about proving we can do anything they can do. Secondly, we are not going to take them down with that attitude. Listen up, people!" Abby said somewhat aggressively. "Okay, no need for aggression, but she is right," Zoey said, backing Abby up.
"Guys, this is about respect," Zoey added. "What's so respectable about a bunch of girls getting their butts beat? You know what, I'm out of here," Dana said with annoyance. "Dana!" Abby said, as the whole crowd left them. "Guys!" Zoey said, trying to get everyone back.
"And then there were five," Nicole said, looking from side to side. "Well, that's enough for a basketball team, and the game's not till Friday. So we're gonna practice hard and we're gonna win!" Abby said with actual enthusiasm.
***
"We're gonna lose," Quinn said. "No, we're gonna lose bad," One of the girls said in agreement. "My legs are sore," Another one chimed in. "My hair is sore," Nicole said. "How can your hair be sore?" Abby asked in confusion, making Nicole shrug. "Well, we still have three more days to practice, so maybe—" Zoey said, only to get interrupted by Nicole. "Face it, Zoey. You and Abby are the only girls on our team who can actually play this game," Nicole said, annoyed.
"The rest of us are suckish," Nicole added. "No, you're not.....you just suck," Abby said, making Nicole gasp and stomp her foot like a little girl. The rest of the girls laughed at Abby's comment. Suddenly, there was a loud thud that went through the window.
Zoey's mouth was agape as she bent down to pick up a basketball with a handwritten note on it. "If you throw anything in here ever again, I'll cut off your head," Abby yelled at Logan from across the window, Zoey rolling her eyes and pushing her back a bit. "What she means is that you could've hit somebody!" Zoey added.
"I tried! See you Friday," Logan yelled back. " 'Girls got no game, you're gonna lose' " Nicole read off the note. The girls sighed and Nicole has the audacity to ask what else was attached to the ball. Zoey whispered it into her ear and she throws it across the room.
***
Zoey, Quinn, Abby, and the other girls practiced right before the game, most of them dribbling wrong. Logan laughed at them and Abby rolled her eyes at him. As the girls tried to get some balls in the basket, they weren't shooting correctly either and the balls didn't even touch the basket.
"Zoey, are all these kids here to see us?" Nicole asked her curiously. "Yeah, I guess they want to see the game." She replied with a shrug. "Come on, let's warm up," Abby said and for once, Nicole agreeing with her. Nicole tries to shoot, but the ball goes over the whole basket and into the bushes, her mouth agape.
"Hey, girls, a little tip, try to make the ball go in the basket," Logan said with a smirk, making Abby roll her eyes yet again. "And here's a tip for you: try to make words not come out of your mouth," Zoey said, making Abby give her a fist bump.
The whistle blew and the coach started speaking. "Okay, welcome to the first ever guys versus girls basketball game at Pacific Coast Academy," The coach said, earning everyone's applause. "We'll play 15 minute halves. Okay, let's get this game started," He continued.
"Zoey, Abby, play good," Chase said. "It's play well, but you too, Good luck," Abby said, making Chase chuckle a bit. "Don't need it," Logan said cockily, making Abby raise her eyebrow. "We'll see about that," Abby retorted.
The coach's whistle blew and he threw the ball up in the air. Logan slapped it hard, resulting in one of the boys, Michael, to catch it and dribble it across the court. It landed in the basket. It went in, Abby thought. It's fine, the game's not over yet, Abby continued to think.
Abby glanced at the scoreboard, which said, 2-0. She gritted her teeth with the ball in her hand, she dribble it across the court, Logan by her side smirking at her. "I'm open, I'm open!" Quinn yelled. Abby didn't want to throw it to her, but what other choice did she have? She threw the ball reluctantly at Quinn, knocking her out by accident. Abby facepalmed herself. "Get it together," She muttered to herself.
Logan ran across the court, ball in his hand. He dribbled it pretty fast and got it into the basket. Abby sighed disappointingly. Zoey dribbled the ball, Logan trying to steal it. Zoey tried to block him, but he successfully stole the ball, landing it in the basket yet again.
The crowd cheered as Abby ran across the court dribbling the ball once again. Logan tried to steal it from her, but she successfully blocked him and shoots the ball into the basket from further away due to her height. The scoreboard was 8-2, the guys were still winning—-and by six points. Abby ran her fingers through her wispy bangs and kept her focus on trying to win the game.
It was a catastrophe. The guys kept getting the ball in and Zoey made barely one point for the girls'. It seemed like Abby was doing most of the work, and she detested that. Quinn dribbled the ball to the middle of the court. Michael and Logan were blocking her, she got stressed and ran right into the bushes—-with the ball in her hands.
Abby facepalmed herself once again and ran her fingers through her hair. The scoreboard was now 14-2, they were losing.....and bad. Logan dribbled the ball across the court and slam dunked it into the basket. Abby couldn't do that if she tried, she was barely able to shoot from far away due to her height. She began to feel stressed, the paranoia filling her dark brown eyes.
Chase dribbled the ball a bit and shyly shot the ball into the basket, making Abby roll her eyes. Zoey dribbled the ball across the court, Abby near the basket in case the ball were to fall. Zoey shot the ball into the basket and the scoreboard was 20-4.
It still wasn't looking good—-at all. Nicole tried to dribble the ball, but once the boys got a bit closer, she screamed and dropped the ball. Next, Quinn wackily tried to dribble the ball, her hands in the air as she dribble way too high. The boys were able to take it easily and score another point.
Abby dribbled the ball and tries to shoot, but Logan braced his hands onto the ball, sort of like a tug-of-war kind of thing. Abby almost took the ball but before she knew it, Logan had elbowed her in the nose—-incredibly hard.
The whistle blew and everyone stood in shock. Abby got up from her position on the ground, her knee scraped and her nose bleeding, and she kicked Logan in the stomach—-hard. "You think I wouldn't have came for round two?" Abby asked with anger boiling in her eyes.
Chase, Zoey, and Nicole come over to the scene to check if they were both okay. The whistle blew again as Logan got the ball into the basket—-but he could still barely stand up. The crowd booed as Abby felt like she started to lose consciousness. They tried to help her up a bit. "Are you okay?" Nicole asked her, worry filling her eyes.
"No, I just got elbowed in the nose," Abby said, coughing up blood. "That's not good," Chase said with concern. "Yeah, I think I got that hint," She replied as she could taste the blood on her tongue. "Sorry, princess, better watch where you're going," Logan said, still holding his stomach. Abby started to charge at Logan, but the coach braced his hands on her shoulders and held her back. "Whoa! Whoa! Hey, hey! Come on, everybody, back to your benches," The coach said.
"Can she still play?" Nicole asked as they all sat down. Abby started to feel really dizzy. The coach inspects her injuries. "No, that might make her lose consciousness," The coach said, wiping her nose with a rag.
"Come on! Haven't you noticed that she's the only girl who can play this game?!" Quinn said, annoyed. "Hey!" Zoey said. "Sorry," Quinn said awkwardly. "Great, now we have to play another half. Can't we just quit, this is humiliating! Maybe we should forfeit, Abby?" Nicole said, obviously paranoid.
Abby sighed and looked down at the ground, then back up. "You guys do what you want, I'm playing," Abby said, wiping her bloody nose. The girls stood up and looked confused. "Man, that chick doesn't know when to quit," Logan said to Chase.
The girls sighed. "We can't let her play alone," Nicole said to the girls. "I think we can," Quinn retorted. "Come on," Nicole and Zoey said in unison. "Can I play?" Dana suddenly asked. "Um, we kind of have a full team," Zoey said, only to find that Quinn ran off. She rolled her eyes and said: "I guess you're in,"
"You any good?" Zoey added, to which Dana smirked at. She threw the ball—far, like how Abby shoots, landing it in the basket. "Now, just pass me the ball whenever you can and stay out of my way," Dana said sassily.
"Works for me!" Nicole said, making Zoey look at her. The scoreboard was 24-6, which wasn't good. Dana dribbled the ball across the court and gets the ball in from under the net. Dana passed the ball to Abby, who caught it. She gets it in with no problem. Abby felt even more woozy, but she didn't think much of it and kept wiping her bloody nose.
Zoey began to dribble the ball across the court, Logan beside her. One of the boys stopped her dribble and Chase tried to grab the ball, but Dana caught it before he did. She throws it into the basket. The scoreboard was 26-10. Okay, getting better, Abby thought.
A boy passed the ball to Michael, who lands it into the basket. One of the girls passed the ball to Zoey, who then passed it to Dana, who then passed it to Abby. She dribbled it and landed it into the basket. Nicole and the other girls cheered and applauded.
Dana passed the ball to Abby and she gets it in from further away. Abby skipped by Logan, accidentally tripping him. He was able to stand his ground and get up. She passed the ball to Dana, who lands it in from afar.
All the encouragement from the crowd helped to push the girls forward and Zoey got the ball in the basket again. The crowd stood up and cheered and the scoreboard was 28-27. Logan dribbled the ball across the court, but Abby stole the ball from him and passed the ball to Dana. She shot from afar and the ball touched the rim of the basket before bouncing right out. The crowd sat back down and groaned.
"It was close, just not enough time," Zoey reassured Dana. "Well, look who lost, hope you learned your lesson," Logan said, making Abby roll her eyes. "It was one point, not 2,000. Besides, if most of these girls weren't horrible, we would've beat your ass," Abby said confidently, making Logan raise an eyebrow.
"How would you three girls like to join the basketball team?" The coach chimed in. "What? Coach?" Logan asked, surprised, but also with annoyance. "Oh, sure, I'd love to," Abby said. "Sure, I'll play," Zoey added. "Coach, are you seriously going to put girls on our team?" Logan asked.
"Hey, you catch on quick for a guy," Zoey said, making Abby laugh and give her a fist bump. "Bye teammate," Zoey said sarcastically. "Bye, pretty boy," Abby said. "Later," Dana added. Before he knew it, Logan was all alone on the court.
***
Later the girls had a party to celebrate the almost downfall of the boys. "Okay, okay, listen up. Turn the music down. Shh, shh! Okay for rallying the girls together and showing the boys that were just as much a part of this school as they are, let's hear it for Zoey and Abby!" Nicole exclaimed, the whole room clapping.
"Thank you," Abby meekly said. "Thank you. And for the girl who kept us from getting our asses kicked, give it up for Dana Cruz!" Zoey said, tugging onto Dana's arm. Everyone started to dance until some of the boys showed up.
"Hi," Chase said abruptly. "What do you want?" Dana asked, annoyed. "Well, me and the guys just came down here to tell you that we're sorry for playing a little rough today," Michael started. "Yeah, and that not all of us guys here at PCA feel the same way as Logan," Chase added. "Thanks," Zoey replied with a smile. "Is that it?" Abby asked, just as annoyed as Dana. "No. Um, we also heard you got pizza," Michael continued. "And cake," Chase added awkwardly.
"Oh, so you want pizza," Abby said with a half smile. "And cake," Chase repeated awkwardly. The girls let the guys in and they all started dancing and talking.
