Visits & Tickle Fights

A/N: Hi. Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving! STAY AMAZING!

11/27/2017

"Hello! Thought I'd come and visit." Tam softly closed the door behind himself.

"Hey Tam! How's Linh?" Sophie asked.

"She's okay, I guess. Not on bed rest like you are, at least." He pointed out. She scowled.

"Wow. It's not like I'm enjoying it."

"Oh, I didn't know that. I wonder why." He responded, sarcasm leaking out of his voice. More like a river streaming, gushing out. He handed me a small bouquet.

"From Linh. I didn't want to hand it out to you in front of the others. Y'know. Jealousy. No biggie." He accentuated the word, making her stomach turn slightly. Over the years, he was much more of a brother figure to her. But she didn't understand why they would be jealous anyway.

"They wouldn't be..." She started to protest.

"Oh, yes they would be. In fact, they are. I don't understand whether you're refusing to see it, or are just exceptionally oblivious." She only scowled in response.

"Well, tell Linh thanks for the flowers." She smiled.

"Aww, is my visit already over?" He pouted.

The door swung open in response. "I believe it is," Keefe smirked. "Hey, where did you get these flowers?"

"Told ya!" Tam sang, strolling out the doorway, slamming it behind him.

"From Linh. Tam was just delivering them." She explained.

"Ah. Bangs Boy..."

"It's been years! When are you going to stop calling him that?" She buried her face in a pillow.

"NEVER!" He shouted before leaping onto the bed and pinning her down by her waist. His fingers tickled her torso as she giggled erratically, her breaths uneven.

"St-st-s-stop!" She begged him.

He paused for a second, contemplating, lifting his hand and moving into a thinking position. Which was a mistake, considering the fact that she immediately shoved him back allowing him to lose his balance and tumble off the bed.

"Hahaha!" Sophie teased. He rolled over onto his back, eyeing her like a predator did to his prey. He lunged forward onto her once again, restraining her with a smug smile.

"I can inflict," She reminded him quietly.

"But you won't," He whispered, leaning in so very close until their noses bumped. "Because you wouldn't hurt me, would you?" His lips now brushed her ear. She sucked in a breath closing her eyes. He no longer held her arms against the cushiony pillows, instead wrapping his own around her waist. At least he wasn't tickling her anymore. She liked this much better.

"No, I wouldn't." She breathed, her left arm encircling his torso, silently pulling him closer until all his weight was on her. She took in shallow, quick inhales and slower, calmer exhales. He drifted farther away from her ear, up to her forehead. He gave it a quick peck before doing the same to each of her cheeks. The skin on his bottom lip had a crease from the pressure of his teeth sinking into the soft flesh.

"Why'd you come back and visit?" She said. He was staring right at her, not at all processing what she had said before blinking in an uneven pattern.

"Umm... Oh yes! You're free to roam. You're off bed rest!"

"That's great." She whispered.

"Did you want to..."

She gripped him more tightly.

"No. Not yet."

"What do you want to do?" He asked.

"I dunno." She sighed. And people thought she was "oblivious".

"What's with the Dramatic Foster Sigh?" Keefe gently tapped her collarbone where a small scar from the battle still remained. "I can always go into your emotional center to find out,"

"I... dunno." She pressed her arms against his chest and rolled them over so they were laying on their sides facing each other.

"Ughh..." She groaned. "I don't know what I'm feeling, so just go into my emotional thingy already."

He cautiously grasped her fingers, sucking in a slight breath when he felt the enhancing.

"I always expect something to happen, and then the power feels different every time. Isn't that weird?" He noted, mostly to himself.

"I guess." He closed his eyes concentrating on pushing through, and she felt the same cool blue wave that rushed past her in a flurry. She sank into the breezes, letting herself relax and just forget. Forget the Neverseen, forget Fitz, and just about everything.

"You... Have been hiding stuff from me, clearly," He spat, bitterness laced into the edge of his voice. "Why didn't you tell me what you were dealing with before the attacks?"

She gasped, realizing she forgot about... That. "I don't know. They're just... Personal." She shrugged lightly before hopping off the bed for the first time in weeks. She wobbled, her sore legs not used to walking anymore. She toppled backward back onto the bed, her foot slipping, her elbow scraping alongside the scratchy forest green accent pillow. Keefe latched onto her hand, tethering himself to her right hip. Her arm stretched out as he cautiously pulled her back onto the bed.

"Maybe you should learn how to walk," He retorted. She stuck her tongue out at him, sliding back into her original spot. Her fingers clutched the silky pillow she had laid on before pressing against the side, fluffing it.

She scoffed at him. "Could you show me the memory? I only feel the exceedingly intense emotions that go along with what happened, so it's fairly simple to decipher what happened. But... I'm thinking of the worse right now Foster. Please."

She repressed a sigh. "C'mon Foster! You're being way too mysterious today!" He insisted.

She knew he was only trying to help, but...

She finally let out the melodramatic sigh that had been held in her chest for much too long. So she held a firm grip on the bed as she pushed herself up.

She shifted over to where Keefe was, swallowed her pride, and whispered, "You wanna see what happened?"

"Yes."

Her hands went to his temples, two fingers on each side lightly applying pressure. She shut her eyes mumbling "I can't believe I'm showing this to you,"

"Open your eyes," He asked.

She complied.

He held her arm gently by the elbow telling her "Breathe,"

She realized she hadn't taken a breath for at least a minute and sucked in a grateful breath through her mouth.

"It's fine," He reaches for his left temple, grasping her right hand and sent another mental breeze to ease the ache forming on the corners. She closed her eyes again, mentally preparing herself for what she was about to transmit to him.

She stalled herself, counting five deep breaths.

She moved her hand back to his temple.

Then she forced herself through the borders of Keefe's mind.
