Hey minna, I haven't been updating that much in the past month and I've been soo busy and stuff like that, but I had this great idea and... I NEEDED TO WRITE IT DOWN... so here is the start of a short story of my favorite pairing in the whole entire universe... NALU <3

Spelling and Grammar is most likely as worse as a 1st grader hehe

(pretend narrator is narrating the first paragraph)

Lucy and Natsu were best friends, they always had play dates and had fun together. They would've been husband and wife, but being 7 made that impossible. They were inseparable; they were always together... well that was until a certain girl named Lisanna came...

Natsu and Lucy were walking home from school when they saw a moving truck on the house a block down. They decided to go take a look.

"Can you please carry that to the kitchen?" A young female voice asked

When the mover took the box to the kitchen there stood a little girl with short white hair and blue eyes. "Lisanna, mom whats you to please come inside, and help Mira with unpacking the dishes." Said a boy a little older than Lisanna

"Okay Elfman" Lisanna started skipping inside when she saw Lucy and Natsu

"Konnichiwa! Who are you?" Lisanna asked

"I'm Natsu and this is Lucy" Natsu stated

"Oh" she smiled brightly at Natsu, buy scowled at Lucy when Natsu was distracted by a squirrel. "whatcha doing?"

"We were walking home from school when we saw you moving in. I live a few houses down" Lucy pointed at her house. "Natsu lives in the next house"

"LISANNA!" They heard a voice yell

"Oh I gotta go see ya around." Lisanna skipped into her house

Lucy and Natsu kept walking. Hey we're silent until they reached Lucy's house. "Is something bothering you Lucy?" Natsu asked with a worried expression

Lucy sighed "something about that girl I just don't like" Lucy stated

"No matter what happens I'll be there for you, See ya tomorrow right?"

"I guess" Lucy walked into her house.

The next day Lucy waited for Natsu to pick her up to go to school, he always did. It was 15 minutes before school so Lucy couldn't wait any longer.

She started running towards school.

When she was running around the last block she saw Natsu and Lisanna together. Many other people saw them together and were shocked. Where was Lucy.

Lucy saw them walking together, and she couldn't help but think... That should've been me.

She slowed down and walked to class. She was going to sit in her regular seat, but Lisanna was already sitting there, so she sat at the back of the classroom.

During lunch, recess, and class she was ignored and Lisanna got all the attention. Even Natsu never said hi to her.

Everyday it got worse, until Lucy's existence was almost forgotten.

It was summer, the sun was almost out and the kids had a month before school ended. They were now 10 years old, and the next year they would go to Middle School. The teacher was taking attendance when all of a sudden he asked "Has anyone seen Lucy Heartfilia?"

"Who's Lucy?" Natsu asked.

Many people gasped, he had forgot Lucy. Others had forgotten she was there. After Lisanna came it was like she was gone, she never drew attention to herself.

Then a police man came through the doors. "Is this the class Lucy Heartfilia is in?" he asked

"Yes." replied the teacher.

"May I have a word with you?"

They stepped outside the classroom, and when they came back in the teacher had a worried look on his face.

"I'll be leaving now" the police officer left.

"So what happened to this Lucy everyone's so worried about?" Natsu asked annoyed

"Do you really not remember Natsu? do you really not remember your childhood before you were 8?" the teacher asked.

"well of course I remember. Me and Lisanna were the best of friends then there was the time that..."

He was interrupted. "Lucy Heartfilia is in the hospital."

They were all silent. "what happened" Levy dared to speak.

The teacher closed his eyes. "She got into a car crash."

Natsu's memories started changing. Lisanna hadn't always been Lisanna, the more he thought the more he remembered Lucy... Lucy... "LUCY!!"

He ran out of class, running as fast as he could to the nearest hospital. He asked the nurse which room she was in and quickly went in. Inside was a pale blonde, she was skinny and hurt. She was bandaged up pretty bad. He sat on the bench and started crying. How could he forget? They were best friends, he promised he'd stay by her forever, but what is the use of a promise if he couldn't keep it? The nurse came in shocked that there was a pink haired boy sitting on the bench.

"Who are you and what relations do you have to Lucy?"

"I am Natsu Dragneel and I was her best friend."

"I have never seen you before, why haven't you come before?"

"There was a before?"

"Yes she has come here before."

"Oh what happened. Well what happened before?"

"well it depends on which time. There was the time she was caught trying to commit suicide, there was the time she refused to eat and drink, there was the time she tried to jump off a bridge, there was the time she tried to stand in the middle of the highway, there was the time she..."

"STOP!!" Natsu yelled, he couldn't take it, all this time, Lucy was in here, she was hurt badly and was probably really depressed. "when is she going to wake up?"

"well that's the problem, this tum she has gone too far, she has succeeded in getting hit by a car. Not too many people survive that." the nurse sighed. "we don't know when or if she's going to wake up."

Natsu stared at her wide eyed. "you mean, she may never wake up?" Natsu asked quietly

"Unfortunately."

For the next year Natsu visited her, but he got so depressed to the point where his parents refused to let him see her any more.

Slowly Lucy was forgotten. She was just another memory that he buried deep inside, locking away.
