𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓛𝓸𝓷𝓮𝓵𝔂 𝓦𝓸𝓵𝓯

When she married prince Baelon Targaryen she hoped for a good marriage. She knew they would be little to no love in it but she hoped for friendship. Prince Baelon was her heart and soul, he was everything to her. Growing up together gave her an idea. They had always been close so she thought they were going to marry and live happily ever after. He had promised her they would. Perhaps in another life they would have lived happily ever after. But, that was not their case and it would never be.

Serena Stark Baratheon was a happy girl. The only daughter born to Lord Edrick Stark and Selene Baratheon. She was their light, not only to her parents but the whole family. She was their ray of sunshine. Since the day of her birth she had always been close to Aemon, no one ever knew why, they simply knew she wanted to be near him every chance she got. Selene was a relative to the king and queen of the Seven Kingdoms so when the Alysanne called for her dear friend Selene, Selene ran to her call.

As the years passed, their closeness grew alongside them. They went on dragon rides together, they trained together, they had some of their lessons together or they would often be seen walking the gardens together. Prince Baelon was always where ever his older brother was. And where ever Aemon was, Serena was right beside him. Baelon liked Serena. She allowed him to join them in their adventures. Since Lady Selene was a Targaryen on her mother's side she had a dragon, giving her daughter a dragon as well.

Heartfyre was Serena's dragon. A red and black dragon with red golden eyes. Her dragon was said to rival vermithor and Silverwing. Queen Alysanne had loved Serena as her own daughter, after the many losses she suffered, Serena was like a blessing for her. Prince Baelon often reached for her, wanting to train and go on dragon rides. Serena always complied, never denying him anything. Everyone knew she loved him, she was irrevocably in love with him, no one could ever deny it. Baelon knew it all too well. He always used to to his advantage.

Aemon was the eldest, therefore it was his duty to marry first. He wanted none other than his closest companion and best friend Serena Stark. Baelon knew this, of course he did. His brother spoke of her more than he spoke of anything else. Baelon could understand why. Serena was beautiful and while like any other Stark or Targaryen. But, Baelon was in love with Alyssa and not Serena. He wanted to bed Serena but nothing else. Perhaps that would be enough to get rid of his thoughts of her. So, one night, after a couple of cups of wine and some good food he took her to bed, a maid found the two in bed together and the two were married off days later.

Prince Aemon was hurt and angry and on top of it heartbroken. Serena could not face her friend afterwards, she felt guilty and she did not know why. Prince Baelon seemed to resent her and even though the people in the court knew nothing they had their idea as to why they were married so soon. And as soon as it happened, the rumors began to spread of prince Baelon's late night adventures with his sister Alyssa. Serena said nothing as she knew she had gotten herself into this mess. Before their marriage she would look for Baelon to train and such but as their days of marriage became more serious and real to her she stopped.

Serena was a proud woman. It was not a lie. As the moons passed, she found herself with child. But, to her dismay, princess Alyssa found herself with child. Her husband, Alyn Velaryon was known for his preferences of the same sex instead women. So, the rumor was that Prince Baelon was the babe's father.

She would smiled at her belly, a babe. She would sit by the window and think of names. Any name. For a boy or a girl. Saera, her good sister became her closes companion. When Serena was not with either of the brothers she was wreaking havoc with her dear friend Saera sometimes with Daella as well. As time passed, her only two companions were Saera and Daella.

When prince Baelon's first child was born he was not present, he was with his sister as Alyssa was too giving birth to her child. Serena was all alone as her parents had returned to Winterfell a few months after her wedding. They were on the way back on her mother's dragon to perhaps make it in time. Prince Viserys Targaryen was born on a rainy day, alongside him his twin, prince Daemon Targaryen. Princess Alyssa gave birth to a stillborn son.

Prince Aemon was the first to hold the new born boys. A week after their birth. Princess Serena took her sons on dragon riders. That same day, prince Aemon introduced the two boys to Carexes who took a liking into prince Daemon.

Prince Baelon met the boys hours later after their birth. Alyssa had come to see her as well. Seeing the two healthy sons her good sister brought into the world killed her. It should have been her. Alyssa knew what she was doing with Baelon was wrong. Serena was nothing but kind to her but she loved her brother, it should have been them married and having two children. Serena allowed Alyssa to hold her sons, she couldn't deny her that after her loss. The king and queen congratulated her while Daella and Saera picked the dragon eggs for the two boys.

Serena and Aemon returned to being friends. Now, they were closer than ever. After Alyssa got pregnant just six months after the twins birth, Serena and Aemon began an affair that both knew would cost them their life. A year and a half after Viserys and Daemon were born, Rhaenys and Rhaena were born to prince Aemon and his good sister Serena. This time, prince Aemon picked the dragon eggs and their names. Prince Baelon truly thought the two girls were his daughters. Despite the coldness and distance between him and his wife he loved their children.

The keep was more lively since the birth of the four new children of prince Baelon and his wife princess Serena. Daemon and Viserys loved their sisters. Aemon was a proud father to his girls and his boys. He loved the boys all the same. Baelon knew nothing nor did he even think his wife would return the slap. But she was in fact returning it and he had no idea.

Three years later, Viserys and Daemon were five. Rhaenys and Rhaena were three. Alyssa could not bring a living child into the world and that made Serena sad because every time Alyssa would loose a child, prince Baelon would force himself upon her, getting her pregnant. When prince Viserys and his twin turned four, their brother prince Baelor was born. Two moons ago, princess Serene welcomed another son, Prince Rhaegar son of Aemon Targaryen.

Her mother knew the three of those six children were not Baelon's but she said nothing as her daughter was happy with Aemon by her side. As time passed, the king and queen urged Aemon to marry bu he stated he did not wish to marry. That once his father passed he hold become king and then his brother or either one of his children would take the throne after him. Aemon and Serena were happy but they should have known that nothing lasts forever.
