"Jeffrey?" Sam Says

"Jeffrey?" Dean Says Then lets Jeffery go.

"Okay. Look, it's okay. You're okay, you're okay." Sam Says

"Sorry. Just had to make sure." Dean Says putting his knife away.

"Make sure of what – that I peed my pants today?"
The dog whimpers. "Aw, you scared my dog."
Jeffery crouches down and strokes the dog.

"Uh, we did not want to do that." Sam Says

"Listen, Jeff, we got to, uh, we got to talk." Dean Says

APARTMENT BUILDING

They are all in Jeffery's apartment, He sits down on a sofa in a sparsely-furnished, run-down room. Hallucifer is sitting on one arm of the sofa.

"Well, this is, uh..." Dean Says

Sam sits on a chair near the sofa, Elena sits on the arm of the Couch near Dean as Corinna stands next to Sam.

"I know what it is." Jeffery Says

"Look, I know it must've been, um, hard." Sam Says

"Do you even listen to yourself?" Sam presses on his left palm. "Oh, don't bother." Hallucifer flickers and disappears.

"What do you guys want from me?" Jeffery Asks

"Well, um, we're pretty sure the demon that possessed you... is back." Dean Says

"What? What do you mean? You exorcised him, right? He's...he's supposed to be in Hell." Jeffery Says

"Jeffrey, look, please just calm down. Just have a seat, please." Elena Says As He Does

"I don't understand." Jeffrey Says

"Three more women have been murdered over the past two weeks." Corinna Says

"No, no." Jeffery Says

"Same vic profiles, same forensics, crime scene dusted with sulfur. We've got to assume that it's him." Dean Says

"But we're here now, okay? So if he comes after you, we'll nail him just like we did last time." Sam Says

"What was her name?" Jeffery Asks

"What?" Dean Says

"The last one he killed." Jeffery Says

"Uh, Anna?" Dean Says

"Anna Paxton." Elena Says

"Marjorie Willis. She's the next one on the list." Jeffery Says

"List? What list?" Sam Asks

"The demon used to recite it all the time, like a grocery list. He burned it in my head – the names of all the women he was gonna kill." Jeffery Says

"He already had his victims chosen?" Corinna Asks

"And put in a line in an order." Jeffery Says

"Wait. Why? Demons aren't usually into the obsessive serial-killer crap. You know, they're more just kind of all-around evil. Why would he do this?" Dean Says

He looks at Sam and Corinna, who shrugs.

"He said it was his job." Jeffery Says

There is a knock at the door, Jeffery holds a finger to his lips and gets up to open the door.

"Jeffrey, did your, uh, guests sign in?" Alan Asks

"I'm really sorry, Alan. They're friends of mine from my days back at the Post Office. I didn't know they were coming." Jeffery Says

"So, what do you guys think?" Sam Asks

"I think we really helped mess this poor son of a bitch up. Look at him. He's got a state-assigned dad." Dean Says

"Okay, just get them to sign in when they sign out." Alan Says

Jeffery nods and closes the door, Sam, Elena and Dean stand up.

"Uh, Jeffrey, look, Me and Corinna are gonna go, uh, gonna go find Marjorie Willis, keep her on watch, okay?" Sam Says

"Don't worry, Elena and I are gonna stay here just in case." Dean Says

LIBRARY

Sam and Corinna enters the library. "Excuse me." She Says

"Oh sorry." Corinna Says

A Woman smiles at Them as she pushes a trolley of books, Hallucifer appears behind Corinna and Sam.

"You're right. We just don't read anymore." Sam and Corinna walks with Hallucifer right behind them, he points to the Woman. "Marjorie Willis. Librarian, indoor gardening enthusiast, our demon's next organ donor." Hallucifer Says

Marjorie Willis takes a seat at a desk. Sam, Corinna and Hallucifer sit down at a table. He should have a direct line of sight to Marjorie Willis, but Hallucifer blocks his view. Sam shifts a little to try to see around him, Corinna notices as He shifts again but Hallucifer crosses his arms and stares at him.

"Come on, Sam, talk to me. It's been months." Hallucifer Says

JEFFREY'S APARTMENT

Jeffery is sitting on one side of the sofa, stroking the dog. Dean is perched on the other arm of the sofa while Elena sits on the sofa with him.

"When you left me at the E.R....I had three smashed fingers, five teeth out, a broken wrist, nose, cheekbone, collarbone. I had to get 160 stitches." Jeffery Says

"I'm so sorry that happened to you." Elena Says

He exhales and smiles. "It's okay because I told them I got "mugged" , The doctor on duty said it looked like I got caught in the Spanish Inquisition." Jeffery Says

"And we're the good guys." Dean Says

"They patched me up, mostly. But I lost my job, my health insurance. I just started to drink and drift, and I got lost. Had some kind of mental break. And I started to talk... about what happened." Jeffery Says

"Aw, man. Never tell. Never... never." Dean Says

"I know that now, believe me." Jeffery Says

"So, let me guess. Drunk tank to psych eval to 72-hour forced hold to a nice long stay at an institution of their choice." Dean Says

"Yes." Jeffery Says

"It's happened to friends of mine." Dean Says

"For a long time, I didn't care. The truth was more important than where I was. I was in no shape to cope with the outside world." Jeffery Says

"Well, hey, you got out, you know? Holding it together." Elena Says

"And now the demon is back." Jeffery Says

"Yeah. I'm sorry, man. I mean it – about all of it, you know?" Dean Says

"You guys saved my life. I owe you for it. I know that. I owe a lot of people for getting even this far. I... crap." Jeffery Says

"What?" Elena Says

"If he isn't already circling the next woman, Marjorie, then I-I think I might know where he is. He had this special place where he kept souvenirs where he nested." Jeffery Says

"Why didn't you tell us this?" Dean Says

"I didn't want to go." Jeffery Says

"You don't have to go. We'll handle it." Dean Says

"I do. I have to." Jeffery Says As Dean looks over to Elena

LIBRARY

Hallucifer is reading from a book as Sam and Corinna are flipping through some flies.

"Average annual rainfall – Hackberry, Texas" Hallucifer Says

"God I can't even tell you the last time I've been inside a library." Corinna Says

"Let me guess since college." Sam Says

"Bingo, I almost how dead and quiet these places are. These used to be the best napping spot after a hangover." Sam Looks At Her. "You Know if your dorm is occupied." Corinna Says

Hallucifer rolls his eyes and tosses the book down on the table. Sam and Corinna goes back to reading autopsy files, Majorie Willis pushes a trolley of books. There is a loud noise that only Sam appears to hear and he jumps. A man and a woman at the next table start to bang their heads against the table, their bodies apparently controlled against their will. Other people at nearby tables do the same and their faces run with blood. The woman at the first table appears to have knocked out a tooth. Sam presses on his left palm and Hallucifer flickers and disappears.

"Sam Sam...Sam!" Corinna Says

"Yeah?" Sam Says

"Are you okay?" Corinna Asks

"Yeah—I- I'm fine I swear." Sam Says

Corinna still looks at him as he looks over at the next table. The man and woman are both uninjured, Sam exhales sharply then Hallucifer is again sitting across from him.

"Come on, Sam, pay attention to me. I'm bored." Hallucifer Says

Sam looks left and then right, not making eye contact with Hallucifer. He narrows his eyes as a man in a black jacket walks in the direction Marjorie Willis went.

"Civil war buff?" Hallucifer Says

"Sam what is it?" Corinna Asks

"Come with me." Sam Says

Sam gets up to follow the man as Corinna is right behind him.

Dean, Elena and Jeffery pull up alongside a graffitied fence, Jeffery in the backseat as Elena and Dean are in the front, He checks his phone.

"What's wrong?" Elena Ask

"Damn it – no service." Dean Says

"Good girl. You stay. Here's some jerky. Stay." Jeffery Says

"Thing's not gonna pee in here, is it?" Dean Asks

"Um, I don't know." Jeffery Says

Dean, Elena and Jeffery gets out of the car.

"So, he'd get you this far, and then he'd shut your lights out, yeah?" Dean Says

"For some reason, he was very secretive about this place. But after a while, he'd only really sort of cover my eyes when we walked in." Jeffery Says

"Okay, you think you can get us back there?" Elena Asks

LIBRARY

Sam and Corinna walks along and looks through shelves of books.

"Oh! Oh!"

Sam and Corinna looks around a bookshelf and sees Marjorie Willis and the man in the black jacket are pressing against each other and kissing.

"Oh My—" Corinna Says

"Right here in my discontinued periodicals. Oh. Oh, that's it." Marjorie Says

ABANDONED BUILDING

Dean bursts open the door and he, Elena and Jeffery enter. Dean is carrying a flashlight as Jeffery has his eyes closed and a hand on Dean's shoulder.

"Red door down the hallway." Jeffery Says

"Yeah, there is." Dean Says

Dean takes out his knife and leads Jeffery and Elena down the hallway. They pause outside the door and Jeffery opens his eyes.

"This must be it." Jeffery Says

Dean, Elena and Jeffery look around a large room. Symbols are painted on the windows.

"All right Jeffery stay over here." Elena Says

"But-" Jeffery Says

"No Listen to us Okay? You just stay here. Don't move." He and Elena continues to look around the room. "What the hell?" Dean Says

He shines the flashlight back at Jeffery, then at a man chained to a chair in the room. Dean and Elena slowly approaches the man in the chair.

"Hey." The man's mouth is taped shut. "Hey. Hey, it's all right." Elena Says

Dean puts down the flashlight and his knife.

"We're gonna get you out of here." Dean Says

Dean starts to work on the man's chains, The man opens his eyes and tries to say something.

"Hey, hey, I'm not gonna hurt you, okay? But you got to stay still." Dean Says

The man struggles and makes frantic noises, Dean Turns and see's Elena on the ground then Jeffery plunges a syringe into his neck.

LIBRARY

Marjorie Willis is sitting at her desk and the man in the black jacket is leaning over to kiss her. Sam and Corinna watches from his seat at a table nearby. Hallucifer leans against a bookshelf behind him.

"I'm pretty sure this guy's the boring sort of chubby chaser." Hallucifer Says

Sam dials a number on his phone. "Leave your name, number and nightmare at the tone."

"Dean, where are you? Corinna and I are scoping zero out here." Sam hangs up.

"No Answer?" Sam Shakes his head. "I'll dial Elena." She dials but it goes straight to voicemail.

"Her to." Sam Says

"Yeah." Corinna Says

"Not a good sign." Sam reads autopsy reports."
Hmm. Surprised you haven't picked up on that yet. It's right... there in the coroner's report." Hallucifer Says

Hallucifer sits down opposite Sam and Corinna, we see a close-up of drug test results.

"Yeah. Uh-huh. In this latest round of killings, our big girls had traces of heavy tranquilizers in their blood. Yeah? But our demon's strong enough to make fat Betty do whatever he wants to, right? So, why does he need the tranqs? Think he's got a bad back? Yeah, whatever is going on here, you know that demon's not coming back to kill anybody."

Sam dials a number on his phone. "This is Special Agent Smith. Please leave your name, number and a detailed –" Sam hangs up.

"Oh, no. That's every cellphone Dean's got. One of them should've picked up, right? Big brother's probably dead." Hallucifer Says

"Shut up." Sam Says

"Huh?" Corinna Says

"Oh Sorry I wasn't speaking to you." Sam Says

"Then Who—" Corinna Says

"Come on we gotta go." Sam Says

Sam grabs the reports, Corinna looks at him questioningly and leaves with him.

"He said "shut up" to me." Hallucifer Says

JEFFREY'S APARTMENT

Sam picks the lock then He and Corinna enters, with Hallucifer behind them.

"That's what I'm talking about, Sam – real interaction again. I miss that. The rapier wit, the wittier rape. Come on. I'll be good."

Sam and Corinna looks under Jeffery's mattress.

"I'll even help you and the blonde beauty over here solve your little Nancy Drew mystery or whatever."

Corinna looks through the things on Jeffery's desk.

"No note."

Sam unlocks the top drawer of Jeffery's desk and discovers a cell phone signal scrambler.

"Hmm, a cell phone scrambler. But, Luci, those are illegal. Think, Sam. Maybe this has something to do with Dean and Elena's telephone blackout."

Sam looks in the other desk drawers, then in the dresser drawers. He taps the bottom of the top dresser drawer, takes out the drawer and turns it over, and discovers a metal box strapped underneath it. He opens the box and takes out several pieces of paper.

"What the hell has Jeffery been up to." Corinna Says

"Hmm. Latin – not suspicious at all." Hallucifer Says

"No No Jeffery why." Sam Says

"What is it?" Corinna Asks

"It's a spell...it's familiar to me." Sam Says

"Okay can you translate it?" Corinna Asks

"Maybe but we're gonna need some help." Sam Says

"From Who?" Corinna Asks

Sam Gestures to Hallucifer, Corinna looks over and see's nothing. Corinna looks at him confused.

"Corinna I'm talking about him." Sam Says

"Wait...your not talking about you know who." Corinna Says

"Who does she think I am...that guy with no nose from Harry Potter I'm way better looking." Hallucifer Says

"Maybe he's our only shot right now." Sam Says

"Sam there's no way I'm gonna let you work with the devil hell no, for crying out loud he's messing your head." Corinna Says

"Corinna—" Sam Says

"Sam please think about what your doing here." Corinna Says

"I know it's insane." Sam Says

"Understatement." Corinna Says

"But Desperate times call for desperate measures." Sam Says

Corinna sighs and shakes her head. " But I don't wanna be desperate."

"I've never seen this spell before." Sam Says

Sam and Corinna is walking and reading the papers he took from Jeffery's apartment, Hallucifer is beside him.

"No. But you've seen this type." Hallucifer Says

"A demon summoning – why?" Sam Asks

"Why? To summon a demon, jackass. Start looking at who." Hallucifer Says

"Okay, what do you mean?" Sam Asks As Corinna sighs

"Look at the page." Hallucifer Says

"What?" Corinna Says

"You know this handwriting." Hallucifer Says

"I know this handwriting." Sam Says

Corinna picks a lock and opens a door, She and Sam enters with their guns drawn. He opens the door to the office. Hallucifer is seated at the desk and shakes his head. Sam looks around and puts away his gun. Nora Havelock hits him over the head from behind with a wooden object. Sam falls to the floor as Hallucifer winces.

"ay, caramba! mi cabeza!" Hallucifer Says

Sam slowly gets up, Nora Havelock swings at Corinna , but She catches her and takes the object away from her.

"Nora, stop it! Calm down!" Corinna Says

Sam gets up and holds up the paper from Jeffery's apartment.

"What is this? What is this? Why did Jeffrey have a demon summoning in your handwriting?" Sam Asks

"Everything's happening the way he said, the way he planned it." Nora Says

"What plan?!" Corinna Asks

"You can't help – you can't change it." Nora Says

"Hit her." Hallucifer Says

Nora sits down on a sofa, Sam crouches down in front of her as Corinna sits down.

"Nora, tell us what is going on." Sam Says

"Sam, shake her up. She knows what happened to Dean and Elena Get this stupid cow to focus, will you?" Hallucifer Says

"Nora, listen to me! Whatever it is, you should be a lot more scared of me and her right now because I'm two inches away from you, and we can make you talk. Do you understand me?" Sam Says

Hallucifer nods approvingly, Nora starts to cry.

"It's my son. He has my son!" Nora Says

"What were you thinking? I mean, why would you even help bring back a demon in the first place?" Corinna Asks

"Not the demon. Jeffrey!" Nora Says

"Jeffrey?" Sam & Corinna Says

The man chained to a chair, Nora's Son who is unconscious. He is bleeding heavily from the side of his head, Dean and Elena are tied to chairs as well.

"Jeffrey?" Dean Says

Jeffery is stroking the dog, which is drinking from a bowl of water, Elena wakes up.

"Good. You're both up." Jeffery Says

"What happened? What's going on?" Dean Asks

"No one asked you to get involved, to save me, to save anyone." Jeffery Says

"What?" Dean Says

"Did you ever think that maybe I loved being possessed?"He pulls a wheeled table holding ingredients for a spell towards Dean and Elena.
"Did you? I loved the connection, the power. And I loved him. Love of my life, actually." Jeffery Says

"Oh, you got to be kidding me." Dean Says

"He liberated me." He pours lighter fluid into a bowl full of coals on the table. "Started me on my true life mission." Jeffery Says

"So you're the one with the thing for all those women. Aren't you, Jeffrey? You're a serial killer." Elena Says

"I was nothing before he found me – a shadow too scared to do what I was brought here to do. Too timid to live up to my true potential." Jeffery Says

He throws a lit match into the bowl and the coals burst into flame.

"So, what happened – redheaded mommy make you stuff birds, put on dresses?" Dean Asks

"You shouldn't trivialize other people's pain." Jeffery Says

"So, demon comes along, rides co-pilot in your skull... Teaches you how to kill. The list... that's yours." Elena Says

"For years, it was just a game I would play. Every time I'd walk by one of them in the street or see one on my mail route... There's a sound that comes from their brains. You know that? Only I can hear it, like an evil, little steam whistle. Every time I saw one, I'd follow her, take down her address." He picks up Dean's knife from the table. "But I was never gonna do anything, not till he came along. He's the one who saved me. And you sent him to Hell." Jeffery Says

Nora is sitting on the sofa, Sam and Corinna is leaning against the desk with a hand to his head where Nora hit him.

"I kept tabs on Jeffrey after the exorcism. I even sent him care packages in the hospital, but he never responded. And then not long ago, he came to me."
Hallucifer is standing behind Them. "He seemed healthy, put together, except he wanted to know if there was a way to summon the demon back. He said he'd been doing some research. It was mostly nonsense, but he was convinced it was possible." Nora Says

"You really knocked the cork out of her piehole." Hallucifer Says

"I sent him away. I told him to get some more help. The next day he called me. He put my son on the phone. He had taken him from his dorm room."
She gets up and walks behind the desk. "I gave him everything – the ritual, the sigils. But he kept my boy."

She takes a wooden box out of the top desk drawer.
"And then he sent me this." Nora hands the box to Sam, who opens it. It contains an ear.

"Oh My God is that—" Corinna Says

"My baby's ear. He cut it off because the ritual didn't work." Nora Says

"Well... that demon gave up some serious state secrets – would've gone into big lockdown in Hell. Not so easy to bring him back up." Sam Says

"Jeffrey didn't care. He told me to find out what went wrong or else. Finally, I found a summoning spell that would work for sure." She opens a book and hands it to Sam. "And that's when he said I had another job to do." Nora Says

"Which was what?" Sam Asks

"When you came, I was supposed to send you to Jeffrey. He left a trail of bodies to make sure of it." Nora Says

Corinna reads from the book."Blood of the exorcist"?

"Strongest summoning I've ever seen. Requires the blood of the exorcist who banished him – your brother. You see? It is all part of Jeffrey's plan." Nora Says

"Yeah. Well... New plan." He Closes the book and puts it down. "Tracking spell – Bavarian, Egyptian. I don't care – dealer's choice. Use the flesh of the body to find the body and Dean & Elena. Do you want the ear or the kid?" Sam Says

"You're giving me the chills." Hallucifer Says

Sam glances at Hallucifer and then looks away.

ABANDONED BUILDING

A small bowl containing blood is on the ground behind Dean's chair. Elena looks on as Jeffery is using Dean's knife to cut his arm near the ropes binding his wrists.

"I like to think I know you pretty well." Jeffery Says

"Yeah, how do you figure?" Dean Says

"I watched you guys torture an innocent man to get out a demon." Dean Looks At Elena "Pretty charged situation... revealing. You guys talked about a lot, showed a lot of character. God... you were so desperate to fix the world back then. It kills you..."
picks up the bowl. "...that people keep getting hurt... and you just can't stop it. Or I should say..it's killed you, shouldn't I?" Jeffery Says As he puts the knife into a jar containing a liquid.

"You know what? Screw you." Dean Says

"Hey. I was there. I was depressed, Dean, because he was gone."He picks up the jar and stirs the contents with the knife. "I was a wreck, an emotional shell, a drunk. I was suicidal." Jeffery Says

"Aww you were so heartbroken." Elena Says Lamely

"Well I don't usually endorse suicide, but, man, what stopped you?" Dean Asks

"It was Alan at the house." Jeffery Says

"You're kidding me." Elena Says

"He's a really good rehab therapist. Really helped me focus on my goals.." He takes the knife out of the jar and wipes it on a towel. " My attitude. I have to say, I really benefited from the whole program." Jeffery Says

"Yeah." Dean Says

"A life well-lived comes from the structured pursuit of meaningful happiness." He walks towards Dean with the knife and a large bowl. "I realized I was nothing without my demon. Then I decided I have to get him back....I'll be right back." He walks away from Dean and Elena. "Hey, there, honey. Come on.
It's a bitch of a recipe, I must admit." Jeffery Okay

The dog trots after Jeffery carrying the plastic cone.

"No." Elena Says

Jeffery walks out of sight, but his shadow is visible as he raises an arm. The dog whimpers.

"Oh, you sick son of a bitch." Dean Says

"Now that's just wrong." Elena Says

The dog yelps. The plastic cone rolls into sight. Jeffery places the bowl, which now contains one of the dog's organs, on the coals, then adds Dean's blood. He reads a Latin invocation. The room shakes and dust falls from the ceiling. Jeffery raises his arms as he continues the invocation. At its conclusion, everything goes still. It appears that the summoning has not worked, since Jeffery has not been possessed. Nora's Son then breaks his chains. His eyes have turned black. He has been possessed by the Demon. He removes the tape from his mouth.

"Hello, Jeffrey." Demon Says
