PERSONALITY

Henrik is a good guy. He is smart. He is funny. And he is definitely a bit of a narcissist, for better or worse. This guy has no qualms, believe me. He is so independent, bold and headstrong, sometimes people find it hard to digest how obedient he could also be. It's like he has two faces, like two sides of a coin. One drastically different than the other. In the presence of his family, he is all innocent and upstanding. But when outside, away from their scrutinizing eyes, his personality takes a complete one-eighty turn; he becomes someone else entirely. More gregarious. More responsive. More fun-loving. Although there is one thing that never changes, no matter what face he is living. And that is to not hurt anyone, to be careful of the sentiments of others. Even when his parents or siblings are not watching, Rik prevents himself from getting involved in a situation where the image of his family might not look good. From a very young age, he had been taught to put the prestige of family and his status foremost. To never let them down. To never let himself down. Of course, being a teenager is not that easy as everyone keeps on telling him. There are so many emotions continuously playing hide & seek in his head and heart. He is still trying to understand his own mind and body. He is young, he knows that, and there is an entire world out there to be explored, he knows that too. There is an assurance somewhere in his heart, that one day he is gonna be free. One day, he wouldn't have to worry about expectations and status and etiquettes. One day, he would be allowed to be whomever he wants to be. One day. Definitely one day.

BACKSTORY

Rik is the middle child. Did not have a very tough life. Although he did have a history of making his nanny's life difficult for sure. Rik used to be that kid who was an incarnation of an angel in the eyes of his parents but in their absence he was an absolute devil. Not in a bad way of course. He was just way too childish and prankish. And out of control sort of kid. Unfortunately, young Rik is no different either. Though he is not /that/ wild child anymore, he definitely has some spark left. He still continues to annoy the maids, his sisters and brothers and cousins, whomever he could find and get away with. His parents had grown to outrightly ignore any complaints against him, only because no one has ever, even to this day, been able to prove anything. He is a smartàss for a reason.
