Pounds of rock and rubble bursted apart as the three bursted through with shovels in their hands and with bright smiles on their faces, they turned to each other with their eyes glowing in happiness.

'Alright!'

"We did it!"

Having not been able to contain her excitement, Valentine turned slightly and threw her arms around the silverette, a wide smile on her lips.

Freezing up in shock, Killua blinked slowly and his eyes were wide with surprise, a flush painting his skin.

The sound of his own heart pounding within his chest echoed throughout his ears as his ears reddened and a tingling sensation swept up the back of his neck, painting the skin across his nose in a cherry shade.

There's a kind of blushing that shows the soul, a sort of compliment to the eyes and the delicate sweetness within. The color that painted his skin showed a connection, all from the smile to the sudden shyness that filled his body.

But yet, he refused to look away from her eyes.

The same eyes that radiated as brightly as the sun and as innocent as an Angel.

But alas, their moment was broken as they pulled their gazes away from one another and the only thing that remain of their interaction, was the red that coated their cheeks.

'We must've gone five kilometers today!'

'When we first got started, I thought it'd take years',Killua stated and looked between his friends with a small smile on his face,'But at this pace..'

Having finally made it to their destination, the three looked towards the city with relieved expression and Valentine threw her hands into the air with a bright smile on her face as sweat gradually fell down her face.

'Hello Masadora!'

'For the second time!'

Hearing what Gon had said, Valentine chuckled slightly and her eyes glistened as she looked at her friends with a soft expression.

'Okay, now let's head right back to where we were!'

As soon as those words had left her lips, the three looked towards their teacher with exasperated expressions as their mouths dropped and Valentine's eyes were wide in disbelief.

'Again!?'

'Again?!'

"Again!?"

Returning to where they had started, the three stood in front of their teacher and seeing Zeus atop of Biscuit's shoulder caused a small smile to twitch up the side of Valentine's lips.

It was nice to see that her friend had bonded so well with their teacher.

'Next, we're going to work on collecting monster cards',Biscuit instructed,'You now have the physical strength to beat every enemy you may encounter here. But, what you three lack is strategy; the ability to think while you're on your feet and that's important whenever you're fighting an enemy. So, combat analysis skills!'

As she explained to them what they were going to be doing, the last bit of the sentence had caught the young blonde's attention and Valentine immediately perked up, her eyes brightening in curiosity.

'Combat—'

'Analysis skills?'

As the boys finished each other's sentences, the golden eyed beauty glanced at them out of the corner of her eye and a small smile twitched at her lips as she tried not to laugh.

'Now, I won't be handing out advice freely',Biscuit told the three,'You'll have to figure out you're own methods for defeating the monsters'

Going first, Gon had decided to go after one of the Hyper Puffballs and the two friends watched as they raced back and forth, their eyes following the green-haired boy as he tried to catch the creature.

Finally, Gon had managed to catch the creature around the tail and a wide smile spread across the boy's lips as he picked up the card, jumping in place.

'I did it! I got the hyper puffball!'

Next it was Killua's turn.

Deciding to go after a bigger monster, the silverette ran to the side and dodged the large, lavender leg that had stomped down on where he had previously stood, the large salamander staring down at him with a hiss leaving it's mouth.

Watching as it began to chase him, Valentine tilted her head to the side and a small hum left her lips as her lips parted slightly, noticing that Killua was easily able to stay ahead of the monster.

Jumping onto a cliff with his hands stuffed into his pockets, the silverette calmly jumped onto the creatures back and rammed his feet into the large salamanders weak spot, instantly turning it into a card after it screeched out in pain.

After a long night of rest and holding the large Boulder above their heads with nothing but a rope, it was Valentine's turn.

Staring at the bubble horse in front of her, the blonde thought of the best way to approach this and before she could react, bubbles of red and white shot her way.

Eyes of thunder narrowed as they glistened as brightly as the moon and shone like lava, the goddess color of her eyes brightening as time around her slowed down.

Watching as the bubbles slowed down as well, a small smile formed on the blonde's face as a harsh ring filled the air as she raced forward and disappeared before the bubbles could touch her.

Looking around thinking it could get away, the bubble horse began to race off, but the harsh ring filled it's ears and seeing the blonde suddenly appear in front of it, a spike of blood formed as she thrusted her hand forward; lightly cutting the skin of the horse.

Letting out a neigh of fear, the bubble horse disappeared in a cloud of smoke and a glistening smile formed on Valentine's face as she watched the card slowly fall to the ground, before she caught it.

Staring at the group with a small smile, Biscuits eyes softened as she stared at the three and thought that they made the perfect team.

When it comes to analysis and speed, Valentine was stronger than the two.

When it was just analysis, Killua was just as strong and if not, stronger than the blonde in that area.

But, Gon made up for it with his concentration and lightning fast recovery skills.

Thinking that the three made a perfect team, Biscuits eyes glistening with satisfaction and a small sigh of glee left her lips.

'Okay, now we'll be training in defense',Biscuit stated and lifted her fist.

As her aura coated her body, the girl kept that same focused smile on her face and didn't even react as it formed around her fist.

But, Gon's eyes brightened at the sight of his technique and he leaned forward, his eyes wide.

'Is that..-'

'That's right, Gon. This is the technique that you've been using',Biscuit began to explain,'Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu and Gyo are all combined in this single technique, called Kyo. You focus every ounce of your aura into one part of your body and then, attack. This method gives it far greater power than your regular attacks ever could. I'm going to attack you with my fist and you must block my attacks by any means necessary. No dodging allowed'

Hearing the terms, the three all stared at her fist and Valentine frowned slightly as every possible thing she could do began to flood her brain, her eyes soft as she sighed lowly.

'Have you figured it out yet? That's right',The girl stated,'If you use your aura to block normally, you'll take considerable damage. So, instead..-?'

'We should use Kyo as well!',Gon answered.

'You're half right',Biscuit said,'Ko against Ko. Unless the disparity in power is too great, a well executed block will protect you. However, if you're opponent hits you in a place where you weren't using Ko, you'll be destroyed'

Taking in this information, Valentine hummed slightly and stared off for a moment as she thought about what their teacher was teaching them.

'Then we should use Ko on our entire body..'

"But that's incompatible.."

Nodding alongside her words, Killua looked down at Valentine and watched as she looked up at him, their gazes strong as they stared at one another.

Smiling at their answers, Biscuit nodded towards the two and watched as they smiled at one another, before turning back her way.

'Exactly. This technique combines Ten and Ren, it's known as Ken',Their teacher explained,'You defend yourself by shrouding your body in much more aura than usual. It isn't as strong as Ko, of course, but it's infinitely more practical'

Looking towards Gon, Biscuit kept the aura around her clenched fist and nodded his way, watching as he perked up, listening intently.

'Gon, use Ren'

Following her order, Gon covered his entire body with his Ren and a determined expression formed in his dark chocolate gaze.

'Now, sustaining that for a long period of time is called Ken',Biscuit informed and got into a fighting position, her aura brightly forming around her fist,'Now, protect yourself from my punch if you can'

Getting into a fighting position, a determined and concentrated look glazed over Gon's face, before he watched as Biscuit's fist slowly began to descend towards him.

Straightening up slightly, the green-haired boy noticed how slowly her fist was descending towards him and moved his palm forward to meet her fist, but he was immediately blown backwards.

Staring at the boy in shock, Valentine and Killua were rendered speechless in their surprise, shocked that such a slow punch could pack that much of an impact.

'You let your guard down when you saw how slowly I was moving. If you'd stopped using Ken, I would've crushed your face',Biscuit explained and glanced towards the two beside her, watching as Zeus looked between them from atop of Valentine's shoulder, his beady black eyes wide with shock,'That's the power of Ko by itself. When I add the speed and power packed into a normal punch, it gets many times stronger as a matter of fact. Perhaps, even dozens'

As a small smile formed on Gon's face, the green-haired boy stood to his feet and made his way back towards them, standing in front of Biscuit once more.

'I'll start by going slowly, but I won't give you any warning before I attack. Keep using Ken and try to withstand my attacks'

Even though neither of them moved, the aura surrounding Gon's body began to lessen and sweat heavily poured down the boy's face as tired groans left his lips, before his aura disappeared completely as he fell to his knees.

Stepping forward in worry, Valentine's eyes glistened with the emotion and concerned looks formed on her and Killua's faces.

'Gon!'

"Gon!"

Humming slightly, Biscuit straightened her posture and starred down at the boy with a shocked look, her eyebrows raised slightly.

'Hmm.. that was almost a full two minutes',Their teacher stated in an impressed tone.

Panted breaths of exhaustion left Gon's lips and sweat dripped don his forehead like rain falling down a window in the toughest of storms, his cheeks slightly reddened from the blazing heat of the area.

'But, you need to be able to sustain Ken for at least thirty minutes or you won't stand a chance'

For a month they had trained themselves to grow stronger, training almost every day and digging through the mountain not to far from them, until they had made it through completely.

Finally being able to hold Ken for about thirty minutes, it was clear to their teacher that they had each gotten stronger over the past month.

Watching as she rose her finger, the four immediately activated Gyo and saw the number floating above her finger.

'The number three!'

'The number three!'

"The number three!'

As the three had shouted this out in unison, Zeus perked up from amongst the woman's shoulder and spread out his wings, chirping three times to signal the number he had seen.

'Ding! Killua by a hair, Gon, Valentine, give me a thousand push-ups'

With her posture deflating slightly, Valentine sighed as she pouted for a moment and then immediately dropped to the ground, beginning to do the push-ups alongside Gon as the silverette smirked down at the two.

Proud of himself for answering the quickest.

'Alright, today we'll be practicing actual combat training'

Stopping what they were doing, Killua, Gon and Valentine looked towards their teacher and blinked in confusion, humming slightly as they made sure that they had heard her correctly.

'Ken!',She ordered.

Standing upright from their positions, the three immediately activated their Ken and stood in fighting stances.

'In your current state, your attack power and your defense are at 50',Biscuit explained,'Which means at this point, if either of you were to fight each other while using Ken, you wouldn't be able to cause much damage at all. So, what do you do?'

'Use Kyo!',Gon yelled out.

'No, you dummy!'

Hearing that he had gotten the answer wrong, Gon's posture deflated and a small drop of sweat fell down the side of his face as a small sigh left his lips.

'What if either of them hit you where you aren't using Ko?',Biscuit questioned,'What then?'

Thinking over the answer, Valentine tilted her head to the side and a small hum left her lips as she placed the top of her finger against her lips.

"We.. use Gyo?"

Nodding at the answer, Biscuit told the blonde that she was correct and Valentine immediately straightened up, a bright look on her face.

Looking up at the silverette beside her, Valentine smiled shimmeringly and a small smile twitched at Killua's lips as he stared down at the girl's gleaming smile, the light from the sun brightening as it shone down upon her.

Closing her eyes, a small laugh left the girl's lips and she continued to smile up at him, not noticing the gentle look that could rival the clouds themselves with it's softness.

Feeling something softly patting the top of her head, Valentine's eyes shot open in shock and she looked up at the boy in front of her, her lips parted as color infused in her cheeks.

She had rarely gotten head pats from anyone in her family and having her silver haired crush doing it now, caused her heart to pound against the cage of her ribs at the gentle intention of the action.

'So, with an even split right at the moment of an attack, shift both offensive and defensive power of your right fist to seventy, and the rest of it to thirty'

Hesitantly taking their eyes off of one another, Valentine and Killua quickly paid attention to what Biscuit was saying.

'And then, you can use Gyo to change the ratio of power to suit your situation',Biscuit stated,'This is called Ryu. Now, set the offensive of your right hand to seventy and defense of the rest of your body to thirty!'

Practicing for a bit, the three changed the amount of Ken that they used on different parts of their body as they slowly began to get the hang of it.

'Left foot to eighty, your body to twenty!'

Feeling her aura shift, beads of sweat continuously fell down the side of Valentine's face as she repeatedly shifted her aura to different sections of her body with different levels of defense and power.

'Head to sixty and your body to forty!'

After they had finished, the three panted in exhaustion and Valentine had the back of her hand on her forehead as she panted in exhaustion, the sweat on her body glistening on the light that rained down upon them.

'Do this for thirty minutes a day and add it to your current training regimen',Biscuit said to the three and watched as they breathed heavily with fatigue,'Also, we'll begin sparring'

Humming slightly, the three looked up at the girl in unison and looked between one another, wondering just how it was going to play out.

First, Gon and Killua had sparred and Valentine watched each of them as they equally switched their auras to match or block the others attack, their auras noticeably expanding as it showed where they were blocking and how they were going to attack.

While the two sparred, Biscuit turned towards Valentine and watched as the golden eyed beauty glanced towards her, her eyes blinking in confusion.

'Valentine, I'd like for you to spar with me while the boys spar amongst themselves'

Biting into her lower lip, the golden eyed girl glanced towards the boys for a moment, before looking back towards her teacher and slowly nodded.

It was clear to Biscuit that Valentine belittled herself and thought that she wasn't as strong as the boys were, but she was going to prove her wrong and show the blonde just how strong she actually was.

As they sparred it was noticeable that the girl was growing used to the practice and so, Biscuit continuously increased the speed of her attacks and watched as Valentine countered it perfectly, causing the teacher to want to cry with happiness.

The remarkable speed that this girl possessed made Biscuit want to sing with joy and smile with delight, the balance of attack and defense that clearly showed in her action showed the woman that her teaching was as splendid as ever.

For if she could teach a Nitsune something that their own family couldn't, then that was an achievement all on it's own.
