Chapter Three
"You think this video is enough?" Cisco asked as everyone had their arms crossed, rewatching the video Dr. Wells made confessing to Nora Allen's murder.
"It has to be, Cisco. I mean, he explained in full detail what happened that night. The only people that were in the house when the cops showed up was Henry and Nora, and Barry was down the street." I said as Joe walked in, having just gotten off the phone with the D.A.
"It's not a done deal yet, but the D.A. says it looks good." Joe said as I clapped my hands, a smile on my face.
"That just leaves Atom Smasher." I said as Barry nodded.
"Yeah, but the last time Barry went up against him it didn't end well." Cisco pointed out as Barry sighed.
"No, it did not. . . I need your guy's help." Barry said as I patted his back.
"I'd be happy to help, but just this once. I need to get back to my mom tomorrow." I said as Barry's face suddenly changed from stress to sadness.
"Anyways, I've been thinking of how we can stop Rothstein." I started, walking over to the monitors as everyone watched me.
"If we can lock him up in a small space, we can hand him so much radiation that he'll basically drain himself of energy from trying to consume it all in one go." I said as I typed into the computer.
"I say it's my turn to say how much I missed that mind." Caitlin said as I chuckled.
"Rothstein is currently on Fourth and Main. See if you can get him to the abandoned steel works on Hargrove Road, and then me and Cisco will work on setting up the radiation." I said as Barry nodded before disappearing.
After about 10 minutes, Cisco and I watched carefully as the security cameras showed Barry and Rothstein in the steel works. Before Barry could move, Atom Smasher suddenly had his large hand on Barry.
"Didn't think I would catch you, huh?" Rothstein said as I began typing quickly.
"No. I knew you could. Now Cora!" Barry called out as I slammed my finger on the enter button. Barry swung around, kicking Al into the small containment chamber, locking it tightly.
"The amount of radiation about to floss that room. . ." Caitlin said. "Atom Smasher won't be able to absorb it all." Suddenly we all looked at one another, realizing we probably just killed a man.
"He promised to take me home. . . If I killed you." Rothstein said as we all turned back, having missed nearly half of the conversation.
"Who? Who promised you that?" Barry said as I sat on the edge of my seat, gripping the arm chair.
". . . Zoom." Al coughed out before his breathing stopped.

I laughed along with Joe as we watched a small slideshow of Barry and his mom and dad on the television, waiting impatiently to see Henry return home.
Suddenly, the door swung open, nearly causing me to spill my drink as I shot up. "Welcome home!" We all yelled in unison as Henry let out a laugh. I turned to Barry, whose smile seemed to light up the whole room.
I set my drink down, walking up to Henry as I hugged him. "I've been told you give great hugs." I chuckled as Henry laughed.
"So I've heard. It's so good to see you Cora." Henry said as he took his hands in mine. I smiled warmly as I turned to Barry, allowing Henry to talk to everyone.
"This is. . . The best thing to ever happen." Barry said as I smiled, looking over at Henry.
"It really is, Bar. I'm so happy to see you smile today. You deserve to be this happy." I said as he brought me into a hug, one which I reciprocated.
Professor Stein clinked his glass, getting everyone's attention as I gave Barry a beer, grabbing my drink.
"Gather round, everyone, please. Looking at all of you, thinking how far we've all come, and remembering those who are no longer with us, I'm reminded of a Hebrew word used during times of graduation. Kadima. It means, "Forward."" Stein said as Barry's arm snaked around my waist, both of us raising our drinks.
"Forward." Everyone said in unison before taking a sip of their drinks.
Barry walked away, pulling his dad aside as I walked up to Joe. "I don't think I've seen Barry this happy in the past 14 years that I've known him." Joe said as I chuckled.
"I can recall only one moment of him being happier than today, and that is a moment I do not wish to speak about." I joked as Joe raised a brow at me, questioning what could have made Barry so happy.
"Barry, I can't stay here." I heard Henry say as I frowned, turning slightly to hear the conversation.
"You're the only family I have left." Barry said as I frowned even more.
"Bar, take a good look in this room, and at that girl standing next to Joe. All of these people. . . They are your family. They need your help too, Barry. When you need me, I will be here, but right now, Central City doesn't need you to be Henry Allen's son. It needs you to be the Flash. My kid. The superhero." Henry let out a small chuckle as I heard Barry scoff out a laugh.

"I was finally able to come around to upgrading your suit, Bar. It's the one I've had in mind for a while. Before we found out about the newspaper. And let me tell you, it's way better in person." I said as I flicked on the lights to the suit rack, revealing the crimson suit with the white emblem.
"Wow. This is. . . Amazing Cora." Barry said as he bent down, kissing my cheek as a blush ran to them.
"Yeah you owe me. 6 hours of literal blood, sweat, and tears." I said as I raised up my fingers, wiggling the ones that were bandaged as Barry chuckled.
"I was thinking we shouldn't fear the future, right?" Cisco said as Barry smiled, shaking his head.
"Nope. And it will be here faster than we think." He said as I sighed, nodding.
"Well, see, I like it. The lightning definitely pops more against the white. And S.T.A.R. Labs is now safer than ever. Increased security and surveillance. Re-coded, double firewalled, electronic lock sets. Nothing is getting through here without us knowing." Cisco said as we all chuckled.
"Guys, thank you for the past two days but. . . My time here has come. I need to get back home to my mom." I said, turning to Barry as I gave him a kiss.
"I'll call you when I get back to Starling, okay?" I said as Barry smiled, nodding.
"Bye Cisco." I said, giving him a hug.
"If you don't visit soon I will cry. And that's a promise." Cisco said as I laughed. Joe pulled me into a giant bear hug, a smile leaving my face.
"Bye Cora." He muttered as I sighed.
"Goodbye Joe. I expect lasagna when I visit." I said as Joe let out a laugh, letting me walk over to Caitlin.
"Bye Caitlin." I finished, giving her a hug as she hugged through her nose, hugging me back.
"Don't be a stranger." She said as I smiled.
"See you guys. I love you all!" I said, starting to make my way out of the Cortex.
As I rounded the corner, I stopped, slowly backing back into it as everyone turned to me, crossing their brows in confusion. "Cora?" They all asked.
But they soon got their answer as Jay Garrick walked in, a serious expression on his face.
"Woah!" Barry ran up at normal speed to me, grabbing my arm and yanking me away from him.
"Barry it's all right I know him I just- how. . . How did you get in here?!" I asked as Jay turned to me.
"You guys have terrible security." Jay said as everyone turned to Cisco.
"So I didn't turn it on!" Cisco said before Barry snapped his attention back to Jay.
"Who are you?" He asked, his arms still wrapped protectively around me.
"You don't know me. But I know you, Barry Allen." Jay said as my eyes widened.
Barry leaned his head down. "Did you tell him my name?!" He asked as I quickly shook my head. Jay took one step, Joe's gun now raised at Jay.
"Take one more step, it'll be the last step you take. The man asked you a question. Who the hell are you?" Joe threatened as Jay stopped walking, looking at everyone.
"My name is Jay Garrick." He started as everyone straightened up before he finished. "And your world is in danger." I quickly frowned, looking at everyone as I realized what I had to do.
"Well. Guess my mom can enjoy a nursing home for a while."
