Clematis

One may never hear of this flower

it shows one many truths

hidden behind the beauty of a flower

how does this mean

what does it mean

a flower

so simple

so what could it be

why write a poem

about something purple and green?

why write about something so unseen?

because words are more than what they mean

same with the things that are purple and green

all the things that are normally unseen

have all kinds of meaning

Mental beauty

who said beauty?

beautiful as the stars on tv?

pretty as the faces on the screen

not either

says I

not one of those

not one

not one

mental is the shape of the mind

not the brain in its walnut shape

the thoughts 

how they form

and what they say

one can be beautiful

but not all can hold mental beauty

but you

you 

will always hold this trait

no matter what your age

your mind is something others can not have

so cherish it

your kindness

your willpower

how you are connected to this one special flower

always remember I love you

as an elder sister loves her younger sister

as a gardener loves their flowers

so remember to give some of that love to yourself

love the beauty within

that not many see

it is unseen

but very real

many become accustomed to what you bring

almost like we don't think much about summer turning to spring

but know without it 

the window of our minds will be plain

without the mental beauty the clematis brings

without all the many things that bring beauty

without you being yourself

remember darling

flowers are beautiful

flowers are meaningful

flowers are powerful

are a beautiful Clematis

representing mental beauty

and all the things you bring

you are your own person

a stunning young woman

so don't let yourself wilt

stay strong

and know you are loved

as others love seeing flowers brighten up a room
