『Chapter 29』
You gathered around in a small circle outside Sebastian's tent, discussing further the case. "So, far. I found an envelope in Joker's tent, containing my name and birth date." Ciel started, he put a fist to his mouth, covering his cough. You put a hand to your chin, "A letter with your information on it? Hmm.... that is unusual." You paced around, working your mind.
"Yes. It says the letter was sent from "Tom's the Piper's Son" Ciel continued. You perked up upon hearing the name. Ciel looked at you for that, "Ring any bell?"
You took a glance at him, "It's a character from a nursery rhyme. I have some memories of it. What else did you find?" You asked out of curiosity. Ciel put his hand under his chin while he continued.
"The letter has some kind of a wax seal." You didn't bother to listen to him any longer when you noticed Ciel's appearance. His face was pale and his hair was ragged. He got his scarf wrapped to his cheek. His looks were tired and he wouldn't stop coughing.
That was until Ciel puked and held onto the ground. "Young master!?" Sebastian concerned, bending over him. He quickly put his hands on Ciel to support him.
"He's freezing. Get him to the infirmary" You told Sebastian as he immediately picked Ciel up as he fell unconscious. You spotted Freckles standing a few meters away from the three of you, he looked concerned, looking at Ciel over your shoulder. He asked what happened and you explained that he fainted a while ago. He frowned and joined you to the infirmary.
Arriving at the medical tent, the doctor immediately spotted Ciel as he told Sebastian to lay him on a spare bed. He told you to grab a glass of water in which you quickly did. Walking back to the bed, you placed the water on the side table as the doctor examined Ciel.
"He has asthma." He said.
"Asthma? Looks like it." You nodded, remembering you have an experience of dealing with it with your last master. Your thoughts were cut off when Ciel coughed, slightly opening his eyes, "Water..." He requested as Sebastian then moved beside him, helping him drink the water you had prepared.
The doctor loomed over him. "Smile, do you have a bad case of asthma as a young boy?" The doctor asked. Ciel wasn't that conscious yet, mumbling a few inaudible words before he went back to sleep. "I guess we'll have to keep a sharp eye on him." The doctor said.
Freckles, who was next to you, ran away to get some ice, at least that was what he said. Poor boy, he looked somehow very much concerned.
"What about you two?" The doctor asked, glancing at you and Sebastian. You looked up from the ground as Sebastian answered, "I'd like to stay here and help. If I may." You nodded along with him. The doctor thanked you both as he then left. That was when Sebastian turned to you, "Y/n, come with me for a minute?" He required. You noticed his behaviour, "Alright,"
Sebastian put a hand behind your waist as he took you outside the tent. "I need to dig out more information, and I'm afraid I have no choice but to convince that Tamer to talk to me." He began. Hearing his words, you blinked a couple of times before letting out a huff of breath. That was bold, considering what just happened between you two. "No choice? for real?" You scoffed, crossing your arms. You saw him breathed out of his nose, thinking about what should he say.
It took him a while before he continued, "It's just that I think she's an easy one to-" just for you to cut him off. "No, no. Easy? What? You're asking me permission for you to get "closer" to her?" You tilted your head. You threw your hands in the air, "What? There are no other ones here we can dig out?" Could say you were mad, but also jealous. You didn't know, you couldn't explain all the mixed feeling you were having.
Sebastian tried to cool you off but you put your hands up to him. "Don't tell me, you touched her?" Now that made him quiet. He stood back straight, eyes still glued on you. With him being silent was enough for you. "You really are unbelievable." You sighed in a rather disappointing way and walked away. To think that he had the audacity to do it for the second time. He tried to reason with you, grabbing your arm as you turned back to him.
"Wait, Y/n, please." You yanked your arm away from him. "Oh what, Sebastian? I could've to dig on the guys If I want to! But I don't want to! Because I don't want you to be disappointed in me!" You yelled, stomping on your feet. He looked at you, eyes desperate to convince you. "Look, I know you'd be upset, but I have to—"
You acted on your own and raised a hand, smacking him on his cheek. His eyes were slightly widened at your action, though he knew he deserved it. "Well, you're right. I am upset. Again." You scoffed, rolling your eyes before you left him. Yes maybe you admitted you were being dramatic but you couldn't believe what he did, you just made up with him after he admitted his mistakes. Well, at least he asked this time, but still.
You walked back to your tent until you heard voices coming from behind one of the tents. Sneaking to a tree, you hid, peering over it. You weren't surprised when you saw Joker and Dawn talking around. You overheard what they said, "I just came back here, Joker! Please!" Dawn pleaded, opening her hands. Joker let out a tired sigh, "I know. But you're the closest one to Father. Just rush there, tell him we have found Him." he said, giving her a letter. She looked at it before taking it. "When he knows, he'll prepare those kids." Now that made your jaw hanged a bit. So your hunch was right all along. "We have no choice, Claire. I'll follow you later... I'm sorry." Joker continued, he took a step forward, wrapping his arms around Dawn as she leaned in his chest. The sight of it almost made you feel bad. Seeing them all, you realized they were a family.
Joker let her go as she waved at him before she left. You pressed your back to the tree, processing what you had witnessed. You needed to tell this. But you didn't want to face Sebastian at the moment. You let out a long sigh, deciding to tell them tomorrow morning. You made your way back to your tent, for real this time. Your mind wandered back to the conversation. So Dawn was going to the kidnapper's house. Or was it where they kept them?
You are it back to your tent, figuring Dawn won't come back anytime soon. You changed into a casual outfit before laying on your bed, ending the day.

You couldn't breathe, or move, or say any word. You just stood there, several feet away from your worst nightmare. All you remember was you were having fun in the circus, with your little brother. He requested for you to get him some sweets, then a second later, all you saw was fire.
You lost your breath, hearing nothing but ringing in your ear. It took you a second before you started to move and run towards the fire to pull out your brother. Until a young man pulled you back, yelling out to you. "No! I have to save him!" You pleaded. But you were soon lifted off the ground and brought back. You screamed out your brother's name, punching on the man's back. You shouted for him over and over as you saw the fire ate him alive. Tears streamed down your cheeks as the ringing noise awoke you.

You gasped a breath, clutching onto the sheet of the bed. You took in heavy breaths as you cupped your ears. You sucked in a sob, wrapping your arms around yourself. Your eyes scanned the space around you, seeing yourself back in the tent.
You shook your head, pushing yourself off the bed. "I can't stay here any longer!" You immediately grabbed all of your belongings and left. Seeing how it was still dark, you assumed it was midnight or so. You didn't know, not did you care.
As you reached the gate, you were held back by none other than Sebastian himself, locking your arms. "Where are you going, Y/n?" He spoke up, eyes narrowing at you. You gritted your teeth at him, clearly not the time to see him. "Let me go, I swear to God, Sebastian. Let me go!" You cried a sob, hating yourself to let out a tear. Sebastian frowned at you, "Look, I'm sorry about earlier. But let me—"
"NO! I don't want to hear anything from you!" You seethed through your teeth, struggling to get away from him. Yet he didn't alter. "Please, Y/n. I know it's personal, but you need to let it out!" Your vision started to blur through all the tears that were sprouting out. You dug your nails into his hand in an attempt to release yourself from his tight grip as you slipped out, "Circus murdered my brother in a fire!" Your eyes widened at your words.
You frowned, yanking your arm away note that he was alerted. "There! Satisfied?!" You barked before you stormed off, leaving the place for good. You ran back to the townhouse, luckily, you recalled the directions in your head.
