After the feast, the Slytherin Prefect led Y/N and the other first years to the Slytherin common room. They descended a series of staircases and walked through a maze of corridors until they reached a blank stone wall.

The Prefect uttered a password, "Pure-blood," and the wall slid aside to reveal the Slytherin common room. It was a long, low room with rough stone walls and round greenish lamps hanging from the ceiling.

Y/N was in awe. The room was decorated in shades of green and silver, the colors of Slytherin. There were comfortable-looking armchairs and couches, and a large fireplace that cast a warm, inviting glow over the room.

The dormitories were just as impressive, with four-poster beds draped in green and silver, and a window that gave a view of the underwater scenery of the Black Lake.

As Y/N settled into her new bed, she felt a sense of peace. This was her new home, a place where she could be herself, where she could learn magic and make friends. She looked around the room, at her new housemates, and knew that she wanted to stay here forever.Daphne turned out to be Y/N's roommate, which Y/N was grateful for. Having a friendly face around made her feel more at ease. Daphne was kind and welcoming, helping Y/N unpack and settle in.

Y/N carefully took out Estela, her snake, from her bag. Daphne watched with interest as Y/N gently petted Estela, who hissed softly in response. "She's beautiful," Daphne commented, reaching out to touch Estela. The snake flicked her tongue out at Daphne, seemingly approving of her.

As Y/N unpacked her belongings, she felt a sense of belonging. Each item she placed in her new space, from her textbooks to her clothes, made her feel more at home. She was starting to personalize her space, making it her own.

Once she was done unpacking, Y/N sat on her bed, Estela coiled comfortably in her lap. She looked around the room, at her new belongings, at Daphne who was chatting animatedly about her summer, and felt a sense of contentment. This was her new life, and she was ready to embrace it.
