EVERLYN MILLER awkwardly sat with the two boys, staying silent most of the time but chiming into their conversation once in a while. she hadn't said much to jaeden, nor did she plan on it. the girl soon stood up as she had heard a loud knock come from the door. "foods here, guys. i'll go get it!"

everlyn sprinted to the dark brown door almost like it was a race. she couldn't help it! her stomach had been rumbling for the past half an hour. the blonde turned the knob, seeing a boy who looked slightly older than her holding two bags of taco bell in his hands. the two exchanged smiles until he spoke up.
"that'll be $14.35." she pulled her wallet out of her back pocket, handing him a twenty dollar bill. the handsome looking boy placed the right amount of change back into everlyn's hand which was significantly smaller than his.

"thanks... jackson." she spoke, glancing down at his name tag and back up at him.
"my pleasure. here," the boy reached down into his pocket for a small sliver of paper and a pen from his breast pocket. he scribbled something down on the paper, handing it to her and finishing his sentence. "take my number."
everlyn gave him a friendly smile before waving at him and shutting the door.

she spun around on her heel and looked at the two. "guess who just scored a cute boys number?" she asked happily, waving the piece of paper around.
"you?" finn asked, even though he already knew the answer.
"yup!" she exclaimed, quickly glancing over at jaeden who had suddenly turned quiet.

although she had decided to not say a word to the boy, eve couldn't help but feel bad. she handed them their food and took her own before speaking and breaking the silence.
"so, jae, what movie do you wanna watch?" she asked, not realizing she had called him by his nickname. the brown headed boy seemed to perk up slightly as soon as she spoke to him and called him the same nickname she had a couple years back.
"uh, maybe the outsiders? i like that movie."

flashbacks of the night her and finn had watched the outsiders together began to fill her mind. believe it or not, the two wild teenagers had once dated. after around 4 months they got together but it just didn't work out. one of the main reasons she got with him is so she could try to forget about jaeden. she soon realized it was no use so she decided to break things off. the girl didn't regret it much though, as they were better off as friends.

"okay, lets do it. i love that movie too." she spoke, looking over at jaeden and flashing him a small smile before turning on the movie.
