DAVIN KYD DIED ON KIELIN. Shot down by his own troops by an order that labeled him a traitor to the Republic that he'd dedicated his servitude to. And then he was brought back, surviving where most he knew had perished. He thought he could lay low, avoid what came next, but the force has an odd way of putting people exactly where they need to be at exactly the right moment.

Reyne Temarch led an uprising. Charging against those that had kept her and her people enslaved for so long. It backfired horribly, killing many she knew and loved including her own brother. She lost hope in the ways of the force, but the force's timing belongs only to itself and its mysteries have a way of unveiling themselves on their own.

Kandri Vikar was a rebel. Disobeying every rule laid out before her. She didn't belong to the alliance; she belonged to only herself and the legacy of tales that her father had left behind. So when she and a couple others plan to crash the upcoming Empire day parade, it's soon revealed they're not the only ones.

Tristris Agaven was a skeptic. Denying the force's existence every chance he could. Where was the force when the Empire slaughtered his parents for harboring a Jedi? Where was the force when he was forcibly enlisted into that same Empire. No, the force wasn't real... or it just ironically hated him as it elects to choose him as worthy of possessing its power to ruin his life just one more time.
