"oh? hi what are you doing here gen? also can i check up on your chest i want to make sure nothing broke."

the doctor just hummed. proceeding to take the boys jacket off.

"i take a lot of pride in my abilities, however this is something i need you to do. and it's something only you can do."

"hm and what's this that the greatest mentalist gen can't do, someone break a bone or something?"

she asks, getting him to take off his shirt so only his under shirt is left.

"before i say anything why is this undressing thing needed? do you wish to see something you shouldn't."

he asks, his words slowly getting lower and lower. (y/n)'s cheeks dusted with a light shade of pink.

"it's nothing like that! i need to apply pressure onto your chest to see if any ribs were broken, even if it's small and your thick clothing could make a big difference. I swear im not a perv!!"

she said covering her face in embarrassment.

"mm i see, well do what you must do. oh yeah, i need you to go with someone back to Tsukasas bas-e"

Gen said, his breath escaping his last word, as the doctor pushed too hard.

"AH WHAT?? BACK TO TSUKASA THATS A BIG STEP CAN I WAIT FOR TOMORROW TO TELL SENKU? ALSO DID IT HURT WHEN I PUSHED?"

"shh shh breath it's okay."

gen said petting the girls back.

"first of all no it didn't hurt. Second of all, i need you to go today, Tsukasas men are coming tonight, to check the area, and i can't delay it anymore. so this is to save senku and me. Go with whoever is on pertol today and go back, suggest like a party or something to Tsukasa tonight. he will definitely do whatever you ask him to. so please try to delay it as long as possible."

gen said, his tone was so serious you would think he's going to a funeral.

"i- i honestly don't know what to say. also could you take a few deep breaths and tell me if it hurts."

gen takes a few deep breath and shakes his head.

"if there were any other options i wouldn't send you there, especially without me there. But i've exhausted all my other options. Senku isn't ready to fight yet. And i know you will."

Gen thought for a few moments.

"that's only two cases but it's the most likely ones. if anything else happens please come get me."

gen just gave a serious nod.

gen started to walk away, before he was out of sight he slightly turned back to (y/n).

"Oh yeah, if you ever want to have a little undressing session again, i'm open."

okay so i just need to find whoever is on patrol, like ukyo, or hyoga. i can't believe gen said that tho... did he mean it though??

as (y/n) was deep in thought, someone called out her name.

"huh? who is it?"

"hey (y/n), it's ukyo."

she turned around to see the platinum blonde man.

"no no i'm just patrolling for Tsukasa nothing special. you could keep me company if you want though?"

ukyo gives another giggle.

the two talk for ages, about any subject from their favourite colour to what they thought of the whole petrification. Pink dusting both their cheeks the whole time

"what?! really?? i'm so glad, come on let's go, but let me go in first into seeing Tsukasa."

(y/n) nods, he body was shaking and she felt as if she was going to break into a cold sweat. but she stayed close to ukyo, even grabbing on his arm. which got her a glare from some blonde girl. and chuckles from the scary looking men. they got closer and closer to this big cave, but they were stopped by another blonde girl.

"What are you doing Ukyo. Who is she and why are you taking her to see Tsukasa, and Hyoga?"

"Ah hello nikki. She's the girl that Tsukasa keeps talking about i think, and even if she's not she's very good at medicine so she'll be a great add on."

nikki just gave a humph before letting them continue.

"okay (y/n), wait here for me. If anyone is scaring you please just yell out and i'll run out immediately."

the girl gave him a nod. She leaned against the brick wall waiting for something to happen. what was she going to say to Tsukasa when she saw him? was she going t-

"Tsukasa wants to see you alone."

"It's been 10 seconds??"

"as soon as i said that you were here he didn't ask any questions and asked for you. so it would be best to go in."

"okay thank you so much Ukyo, this means a lot."

(y/n) says, giving him a kiss on the cheek. turning the boy bright red.

"t-thanks."

i walk down only to be offered two options of a pathway, she heard
her name being called from the right.

she carried onward, coming upon her old friend, his brown hair was even longer than before, and he looked more stoic than ever.

"h-hey Tsukasa... how's it go-"

before she could finish her sentence she was in a warm embrace.

"i missed you."
