"Mr kim?"
"Enjoy the adventure, wifey,"
"Leave me,"
"Let me go,"
"Please,"
"NO,"
Jungkook bolted upright in bed, drenched in sweat, her heart pounding.
Breathing heavily, she looked around the room, disoriented. The moonlight illuminated the room and the soft hum of the heater was the only sound. She took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself, but the terror of the nightmare stayed back.
Jungkook's movement woke Taehyung, who had been dozed off beside her on the chair. He sat up, immediately sensing her distress.
"Mrs kim, are you okay?" he asked softly, his voice filled with concern. Taehyung stood up from his place and went beside Jungkook. He sat there maintaining a decent distance.
The wife turned to look at him, her eyes wide with fear. Without thinking, Jungkook threw herself into his arms, clinging to him as though he were her lifeline. Taehyung held her close, his arms wrapping around her protectively.
"I... I had a nightmare," Jungkook whispered against his chest, her voice trembling.
Taehyung gently stroked her back, his touch soothing. "It's okay. You're safe now. I'm here."
Jungkook pulled back slightly to look at him. Taehyung's eyes, dark and reassuring, were different from the ones she saw, the dead grey ones. She could feel his warmth and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
He removed himself from jungkook's hold and held those dainty hands into his callous ones.
"Now calm your mind and tell me what happened? Every minute details," Taehyung asked.
Jungkook's gaze locked onto Taehyung's eyes, which were now an intense shade of black.
Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, Jungkook recounted the events that had led to her fall into the pool, her voice steady despite the lingering tremor of emotion. She spoke of the sense of unease that had gripped her in Taehyung's presence, of the sudden push that had sent her tumbling into the water, and of the fear and confusion that had overwhelmed her in the moments that followed.
When Jungkook had finished speaking, there was a moment of silence between them, the only sound that could be heard was of their breathing. Taehyung's gaze remained fixed on her, his eyes searching hers for any sign of delusion or doubt. But Jungkook met his gaze head-on, her own eyes filled with a raw honesty that brooked no argument.
Taehyung was confused as he processed this new information. His brow furrowed in deep thought, trying to conform Jungkook's version of events with the fact that he had been by his grandmother's side throughout the evening.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Taehyung spoke, his voice laced with uncertainty.
"I don't understand," he admitted, his tone tinged with frustration. "I was with Grandma the whole time, then how... how could I have...?"
Jungkook shook her head and whispered, "I don't know. But... but I know what I saw, what I felt..."
"Was there any difference between me and that Taehyung?" The husband asked.
Taehyung's inquiry about any distinct behaviour made Jungkook realise something. She recalled the subtle shifts in Taehyung's demeanour – the unfamiliar touch, the unsettling smirk – all of which had disturbed her deeply.
"There was something... different about you," she admitted, her words trailing off as she struggled to convey the subtle but undeniable changes she had observed in Taehyung's behaviour.
Taehyung's expression softened with understanding as he absorbed Jungkook's words. His eyes searched hers, silently urging her to continue.
"It was like... like you weren't yourself. And your touch... it felt wrong," she whispered, her voice breaking.
Jungkook looked into Taehyung's eyes.
I... I don't know," Jungkook confessed, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Your eyes?" she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
"What about them?" The husband asked slightly removing the lone strands away from the wife's eyes.
"They were grey and lifeless," Jungkook muttered.
Taehyung frowned, his mind racing to understand. "Grey eyes? That wasn't me, Mrs Kim. It must have been a clone or some kind of magical trick. I would never hurt you."
Jungkook's eyes widened as the truth sank in and The realization sent shivers down Jungkook's spine,
"A clone? But why would someone create a clone of you?" she asked, her voice trembling with fear.
Taehyung nodded, his expression serious. "In the dark world, there are forces that can create exact replicas of people—clones—using dark magic. They're often used to deceive and cause harm. This clone was created to look like me, to hurt you."
Jungkook's heart pounded as she recalled the events in the pool, the way the clone had behaved. "But why? Why would anyone do this?"
Taehyung stood up from the bed and went towards the window. He pushed his hands into his pants pocket and looked at the full moon shining in the pitch-black sky, accompanied by the stars.
"Because the night of Blood Moon is drawing near," Taehyung began his voice low. He turned slightly, his black eyes meeting Jungkook's.
"Blood Moon?" Jungkook repeated, her voice filled with curiosity. She sat up slightly, the blankets pooling around her waist as she focused on Taehyung.
Taehyung nodded and turned back to face Jungkook. The cool midnight breeze from the open window, ruffled his hair, adding a sense of drama to the moment.
"Yes, the Blood Moon. It's a rare celestial event in the world of Jinns where the moon takes on a deep, crimson hue. But it's more than just a beautiful sight in our world."
Jungkook's eyes widened, and she leaned forward, drawn in by his words. "What does it signify?"
Taehyung's gaze turned distant as he recalled the ancient texts and tales from the library.
"The Blood Moon amplifies magical energies. For those of us with powers, it's a time of great potential... and great danger. Spells are stronger, but so are the threats. It's said that during this night, the barriers between realms weaken. Every Jinn on this night becomes the strongest."
Jungkook shivered slightly, a chill running down her spine at the thought of what could happen. "Does that mean... Yuna will be more powerful too?"
Taehyung's jaw tightened, and he nodded solemnly. "Yes, the chances are high as Yuna has some connections with Jinn,"
"So, we need to do something regarding Yuna as soon as possible, right?" Jungkook asked fiddling with the laces of her dress.
"Yeah, this is the time for actions rather than empty wordplay," Taehyung answered.
"The other dark entities will try to exploit the Blood Moon's power. That night, the motive of every Jinn will be —to release the Master Jinn from the lamp.
And once the Master Jinn comes out, Destruction is sure!"
"So, Master Jinn is the head?" Jungkook asked, tilting her head slightly.
In return, Jungkook got a low hum from the husband, which cleared her query. Jungkook slightly hesitated before asking the next question. She glanced at Taehyung, noticing the tension in his posture and the way his jaw tightened as he spoke.
"Mr kim," she began hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you... about your father."
Taehyung stiffened slightly, his eyes narrowing as he turned to face her fully. "What about my father?" he asked, his tone cautious.
Jungkook bit her lip, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew this was a sensitive topic, but she needed to understand.
"I... I heard some things. A few days back, Jimin told me," she confessed, her voice trembling. "About how your father was connected to the Master Jinn. Is it true?"
Taehyung's expression darkened, a flicker of pain crossing his features. He looked away, his hands clenching into fists.
"Yes," he admitted, his voice low and filled with a mixture of anger and sorrow. "My father was once a humble man. As I told you before, He made a pact with the Jinn, seeking power and wealth. That Jinn was none other than The master Jinn. But the cost was too great. He became consumed by darkness, lost to the very fame he sought to control."
"Master Jinn is the king of the dark world. All the supernatural creatures work on his command. In the dark world, the Master Jinn holds a position of immense power. He's not just any sorcerer; he's the ruler of all dark entities. His influence stretches far and wide, controlling lesser spirits, demons, and even other jinns. The real name of Master Jinn is Zariel"
Jungkook's eyes widened slightly, the weight of his words sinking in. She had heard whispers of the Master Jinn's power, but hearing it from Taehyung made it feel more real, more pressing.
"He's been around for centuries, accumulating power and knowledge. Many dark creatures fear him, and those who don't fear him either serve him or seek his favor," Taehyung continued. "He's responsible for most of the dark magic that seeps into our world. When he makes a move, it sends ripples through both the dark and the light realms."
Jungkook's heart tightened at the thought of such a powerful being targeting them. "Is there any way to stop him?" she asked, her voice small but determined.
"It's not easy," Taehyung admitted. "Defeating the Master Jinn requires immense power and a deep understanding of dark magic. We need allies, knowledge, and strength. For now, I had locked him up in the magical lamp. Therefore, the Ash Jinn is attacking us so that she can release the Master Jinn from the lamp."
Jungkook stood from the bed and went to the man standing beside the window. The wife placed a gentle hand on Taehyung's arm. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her heart aching for him. "I didn't mean to bring up painful memories."
Taehyung shook his head, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "It's okay. We need to be prepared. That's why Rosie wants you to learn about your powers, Jungkook. You have an innate strength, a magic that can rival even the most ancient beings."
Jungkook swallowed hard and her lips jutted out into a pout, "But how do I use it? I barely understand what I can do."
"Just believe in yourself. Rosie will lead the way," Taehyung spoke, his eyes fierce with resolve.
"We have to stay vigilant. I'll protect you, Mrs Kim. I promise you, I won't let anything or anyone harm you."
Jungkook looked into Taehyung's eyes, seeing the sincerity and determination there. Despite the fear and confusion, she felt reassurance. "Thank you,"
Taehyung gently laid Jungkook back on the bed, his touch tender as he tucked the blankets around her. Jungkook's eyelids felt heavy with exhaustion, her mind still reeling from the revelations of the evening.
"Rest now," Taehyung whispered his voice a soothing melody in the quiet room. "You need to regain your strength."
Jungkook nodded weakly, her body finally succumbing to the weariness that weighed upon her.
Taehyung stood up from the bed and turned back to move away. But his steps halted when he felt a tight tug on his forefinger.
Feeling Jungkook's gentle touch on his finger, Taehyung paused, turning back to look at her. In the dim light of the room, he could see the vulnerability in her eyes, a silent plea for him to stay.
Taehyung took a deep breath, his eyes glancing towards the door. "I'm not going anywhere. Just going to lock the doors," he mumbled, his voice soft and reassuring.
But as he began to move, Jungkook's grip on his finger tightened. She couldn't bear the thought of him leaving, even if only for a moment.
"No, please " she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her eyes pleaded with him, reflecting fear and a need for his presence.
He sat back down on the edge of the bed, their fingers still intertwined. His gaze softened as he looked at her, seeing the vulnerability and the silent plea in her eyes.
"It's okay, Mrs kim," he said gently, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. "I'm here. I'm not leaving you."
Jungkook shook her head, her eyes never leaving his. "Please, just stay," she murmured, her voice cracking slightly with emotion. "I... I don't want to be alone."
Taehyung's heart clenched at her words. He could see how much the events of the night had shaken her, how much she needed his presence to feel safe.
"I'm not going anywhere," he reassured her, his voice firm yet tender. "I'll stay right here with you. Just a second I will go and lock the door, hmm?"
Taehyung spoke, his free hand reaching up to caress her cheek, his touch gentle and comforting.
Jungkook pouted, her lips forming a perfect discontented curve. Jungkook shook her head, "Every time, you always use magic for silly things. Now you can't do it?" she complained, her tone almost accusatory.
Taehyung paused, her words sinking in. His heart softened at her words. He could see how much the night's events had unsettled her, how much she needed his presence. With a sigh, he raised his free hand and with a simple flick of his fingers, the doors locked themselves with a soft click.
"There, all done," he said, settling back beside her on the bed. He intertwined their fingers once more, his touch gentle yet firm.
Jungkook's tense shoulders relaxed slightly. Her face lit up with a small smile as she allowed herself to lean into his reassuring presence. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Taehyung reached out and caressed her cheek, his touch light and comforting. "You're safe with me," he whispered, his eyes holding hers with a steady, calming gaze.
Jungkook let out a small, relieved sigh. "Why are you always so calm and collected?" she asked, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.
Taehyung frowned at the question but replied, "Because I have to be, especially when someone as stubborn as you is around,"
Jungkook pouted, her eyes sparkling with annoyance and amusement. "I'm not stubborn," she protested softly.
"Of course, you're not," Taehyung replied and playfully rolled his eyes.
Taehyung leaned towards the bedside table and took out a small jar of cream. Jungkook watched him curiously, her head tilted slightly as she tried to understand what he was doing. She watched as he leaned towards the bedside table, his strong yet graceful fingers opening the small jar of cream. There was a gentleness in his actions that captivated her, a side of him she hadn't often seen.
"What's that for?" she had asked, her voice breaking the comfortable silence between them.
Taehyung didn't reply immediately. Instead, he opened the jar and scooped out a small amount of the cream with his fingers. Then, gently, he took Jungkook's hand in his, his touch tender and reassuring. He began to apply the cream to the bruises on her knuckles, his movements slow and careful.
When he took her hand in his, she felt a spark of warmth travel up her arm. His touch was tender, almost reverent, as he began to apply the cream to her bruised knuckles. Jungkook's breath hitched slightly, and she couldn't help but marvel at the contrast between his usual confident demeanor and the delicate care he was showing her now.
Jungkook's breath hitched slightly at the unexpected gesture. She hadn't realized how sore her hands were until Taehyung's soothing touch began to ease the discomfort. "You don't have to..." she started, but Taehyung shook his head, silencing her gently.
His eyes flicked up to meet hers for a brief moment before he focused back on her hand. The way his eyes softened when he looked at her made her heart flutter. There was a depth to his gaze, a quiet intensity that she found herself getting lost in.
As Taehyung worked the cream into her skin, Jungkook's mind raced. She had never seen him like this—so attentive, so gentle. It was a side of him she hadn't known existed, and it made her see him in a new light. The tenderness in his touch, the care in his actions, all spoke of a deep-seated concern that made her chest tighten with an unfamiliar feeling.
She watched the lines of his face, the concentration etched into his features. There was something undeniably attractive about the way he furrowed his brow slightly, the way his lips pressed together in a thin line of focus. It was as if he was putting his entire being into this simple act of caring for her, and it left her feeling both touched and flustered.
Jungkook looked down at her fingers, the sight of the bruises bringing back the haunting memory of the pool incident. She shuddered slightly, but Taehyung's touch was calming.
his eyes focused on her hand. His fingers moved, massaging the cream into her skin with a gentleness that made her heart flutter.
Jungkook's eyes stayed on him, watching the concentration on his face. There was something comforting about how he cared for her, even if they hadn't yet expressed their deeper feelings for each other.
"Does it hurt?" he asked quietly, glancing up at her briefly.
Jungkook shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "No, it feels nice," she admitted.
Taehyung nodded and his lips curved a little, making her chest tighten with a feeling she couldn't quite name. "Great," he said simply, continuing to work the cream into her skin.
As he finished with one hand and moved to the other, Jungkook found herself relaxing more and more. The warmth of his touch, the soothing motion of his fingers, and the comforting silence between them all worked together to create a bubble of peace that she hadn't felt in a long time.
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Taehyung glanced up, meeting her eyes. "You don't need to thank me. I should have been more careful."
Jungkook's lips parted to say something but she couldn't find the words. Instead, she simply watched as Taehyung finished applying the cream. Once he was done, he gently placed her hand back on the bed and stood up to put the cream away.
"Try to rest," he said as he returned to her side. "I'll stay with you."
Jungkook nodded, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over her. She laid back down, closing her eyes.
the last thing Jungkook felt was Taehyung's hand in hers and the gentle, soothing rhythm of his breathing beside her. For the first time in a long while, she felt safe, cared for, and utterly content.
the minutes passed, Jungkook's breathing evened out, signalling that she had fallen into a light sleep. Taehyung remained by her side, his eyes never leaving her face. He was determined to keep her safe, to ensure that she wouldn't have to endure any more fear or pain.
The night was silent, save for the soft hum of the heater and the occasional flicker of candlelight. Taehyung stayed awake, his mind filled with thoughts of how to protect Jungkook from the dangers that seemed to lurk around every corner. His feelings for her were growing, even if he hadn't fully realized it yet.
All he knew was that he couldn't bear to see her hurt again.
In the stillness of the night, Taehyung made a silent promise to himself: he would find a way to keep Jungkook safe, no matter what it took.

"Tell me what happened," Rosie said, pouring tea into delicate cups. "Every detail matters."
Taehyung took a deep breath and began recounting the events of the previous day—the clone, the push into the pool, the eerie resemblance, and the unsettling realization. Jungkook added her own experiences, her voice trembling slightly as she described the terror of being confronted by a doppelgänger.
Rosie listened intently, her expression growing more serious with each word. When they finished, she leaned back in her chair, her fingers tapping lightly on the table.
"This is indeed troubling," she said thoughtfully. "Clones are not just mere imitations. They are created with intent—often malevolent."
"Who could be behind this?" Jungkook asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"There are many who would want to sow conflict between you two," Rosie replied. "But to create a clone takes powerful magic and a deep desire to cause harm. This isn't just a random act."
Taehyung's jaw tightened. "What can we do to stop them?"
Rosie's eyes sparkled with determination. "First, we need to identify the source of this magic. Some rituals and spells can trace the origin of a clone. It will be risky, but it's the only way to find out who is behind this."
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, seeing the determination in his eyes. "We're ready," she said, her voice firm. "We need to know who's doing this and why."
Rosie nodded. "Very well. We will begin with a scrying ritual to locate the clone's creator. But you must be prepared for whatever we find. The truth can be more dangerous than the lies."
Rosie smiled gently and led them to a large, round table in the centre of the room. She arranged a circle of candles around a large bowl filled with clear water, their flames flickering in the dimly lit room. Incense wafted through the air, filling the space with a heady scent. She began to arrange a series of crystals and bowls filled with shimmering water.
"I will summon the Water Spirit," she explained. "It can provide us with the clarity we need."
Jungkook and Taehyung watched with bated breath as Rosie murmured ancient incantations, her voice low and melodious. Her hands moved gracefully over the bowl, tracing intricate patterns in the air. With each movement, the water in the bowl seemed to shimmer and ripple, reflecting the flickering candlelight.
As the ritual reached its climax, Rosie's eyes began to glow with a soft, otherworldly light. Her gaze was fixed on the surface of the water, her concentration unwavering. Suddenly, the water stilled, becoming as smooth as glass.
The surface of the water shimmered, and images began to form, swirling and shifting like mist. Jungkook and Taehyung leaned in closer, their hearts pounding with anticipation.
A hush fell over the room as Rosie spoke in a voice that seemed to echo from beyond.
"I call upon the spirits of the arcane realms.
Show us the truth hidden in the shadows."
The water in the bowls began to ripple and glow with a soft, blue light. The air grew cooler, and Suddenly, a figure emerged from the largest bowl, a beautiful entity made entirely of water, its form shifting and flowing gracefully.
"Great Water Spirit," Rosie intoned, "we seek your wisdom. We are plagued by the plots of Zariel. We ask for your guidance."
The Water Spirit's voice was like the gentle rush of a stream, soothing yet powerful. "Zariel had started to grow bolder," it said, addressing Taehyung and Jungkook. "His power is fueled by fear and discord. The clone was created to drive a wedge between you, to weaken your bond."
Jungkook felt a shiver run down her spine as she listened. "How do we fight him?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"You must strengthen your unity," the Water Spirit replied. "Together, you are more powerful than he anticipates. Your bond is a source of great magic. Learn to harness it. Beware the Master Jinn's minions. They will seek to exploit any weakness. Stay strong, stay united."
"Great Water Spirit," Rosie called once more, her voice steady. "We need to know more. Who created the clone that attacked Jungkook?"
The Water Spirit's form solidified again, the liquid figure flickering with blue light. "The clone was the work of Ash Jinn who has allied with the Zariel. Ash Jinn, is a practitioner of forbidden magic. She blossoms on chaos and seeks to gain power through the Master Jinn's influence."
Jungkook's heart pounded in her chest as she listened. Taehyung tightened his grip on her hand, a silent promise of protection.
"Ash Jinn has long been a threat to the balance of the magical world," the Water Spirit continued. "She uses her dark arts to sow discord and manipulate those with weaker wills. Her alliance with the Master Jinn makes her more dangerous than ever."
Rosie's eyes narrowed with determination. "How can we counteract her magic? How can we protect Jungkook and Taehyung from further attacks?"
"The key lies in unity and strength of will," the Water Spirit answered. "Ash Jinn preys on fear and division. By standing together, you diminish her power. Strengthen your bond and remain vigilant. Rosie, you must guide Jungkook in mastering her abilities. Her power will be crucial in the battles to come."
Rosie nodded solemnly. "We will be ready. Thank you, Great Water Spirit."
The Water Spirit bowed slightly, its form shimmering one last time before dissolving completely back into the water. The room's temperature began to rise again, the mystical chill fading away.
Taehyung turned to Rosie, his expression grave. "Ash Jinn... I've heard of her. Her reputation comes before her name. This won't be easy."
Rosie said, "Ash jinn has started to become more powerful."
Rosie stood by the water bowl, her eyes focused. "We need to delve deeper. We must understand our enemy's methods to combat them effectively."
She began chanting softly, her hands moving gracefully over the water bowl. The surface of the water began to ripple and glow, images starting to form within its depths.
Jungkook and Taehyung leaned in closer, their eyes fixed on the bowl. Slowly, the water revealed a dark, shadowy figure standing in a dimly lit chamber.
The figure was the Ash Jinn, his eyes glowing with an eerie light. She extended her hand over a large, cracked mirror, chanting an incantation in a language that sent chills down their spines.
The mirror shimmered, and from its surface emerged a figure identical to Taehyung. The clone stepped out, its eyes grey, empty and lifeless, yet its form was perfect.
"This is the work of the Ash Jinn," Rosie said, her voice low. "She has the power of the dark arts to create this clone, an entity that can deceive and destroy."
The vision shifted, showing the clone moving through shadows, its eyes now filled with a sinister intent. It was clear that the clone was created for one purpose: to harm Jungkook and drive a wedge between her and Taehyung.
Jungkook's hand tightened around Taehyung's, her heart racing. "We have to stop this," she whispered.
Taehyung nodded, his jaw set with determination. "We will. But first, we need to understand how to counteract this dark magic."
The vision faded, the water returning to its calm state. Rosie looked at them both, her expression serious. "This is only the beginning. The Ash Jinn is a formidable foe. But with training and unity, you can overcome them. We will start with your powers, Jungkook. You must learn to control and harness them if we are to stand a chance."
Jungkook nodded, her resolve strengthening. "I'm ready."
Rosie smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting pride in Jungkook's resolve. "Good. But remember, mastering your powers will not be easy. It will require dedication, discipline, and patience."
Jungkook nodded, steeling herself for the challenges that lay ahead.
