Dragonkin | 𝐜𝐡.16

──⋱♛⋰──

A woman clad in dragon scales as black as night. Her hair was whiter than the snow upon the distant mountains. Skin as glass but still holding immense power. She walked through a battlefield torn and blooded. Both in black and red, elves, men, and orcs. All slain under a single purpose but at the same time different. One side to destroy the One Ring, the other one to reclaim it. And amidst all a shape of the ancient kingdom of shifters. Kin was forgotten, kin slain, kin so old as the earth's foundations. The dragonkin. Fliers of massive wings, breathers of fire searing as hot as lava. Feared kin and respected. For good and evil. Only two had survived. Two dragons alone in the world. Some say that a Targaryen alone in the world was dangerous. A dragon should not wander unchecked. Fools. Dragons need no one other than their own.

Dragons don't need kings to rule. not when their queens are fit enough. These words you've heard, right? Many doubts that the dragons will be good again after Morgoth's influence, but they are wrong; a dragon is good. Deep in their hearts, there burns a fire unquenchable and untameable. Tatsuo has shown that many times. She turned a dragon older than her to never return. She said words of wisdom, for the gold under the mountain was cursed. Even if a dragon fell to it, she didn't. She walks free in teh world, you say, a woman capable of ending the darkness and bringing them right back.

This woman walks across and up to a throne made of swords and iron. the iron throne. Not of Westeros, no but of dragorath. She takes her rightful place as the queen and the defender of the weak. She will mend those who are broken and, without a doubt, defeat the evil, for she is the dragon, Tatsuo StarDust.

"The time has come for the Ring to set out. You cannot count on your journey being aided by war or force. You will pass into the domain of the Enemy far from aid. Do you still hold to your word Frodo, that you will be the Ring-bearer?" Elrond says as he and frodo reach the fellowship waiting at the gate of Rivendell. "I do. I must. I will go with Sam." the hobbit answers, and Elrond smiles. "Then I cannot help you much, not even with counsel. I can foresee very little of your road and how your task is to achieve Mountains and draws nigh even to the borders of the Greyflood, and under the Shadow, all is dark to me. You will meet many foes, some open and some disguised, and you may find friends upon your way when you least look for it. I will send out messages, such as I can contrive, to those I know in the wide world, but so difficult have the lands now become that some may well miscarry or come no quicker than you. Had I a host of Elves in the armor of the Elder Days, it would avail little, save to arouse the power of Mordor. Are you confident in your companions?"

frodo glances over at Tatsuo and the groups surrounding her. she smiles at him as their eyes meet. "Yes, Lord Elrond. I must be, I'm afraid, for if I doubt them, we may never succeed." frodo says, turning back to the elven lord. "And what of your Hobbit friends? I had hoped to send them back to the Shire as messengers to warn the people of the impending danger according to the fashion of your country. However, I feel that the youngest, Peregrin Took, should not go with you. My heart is against it." suddenly, Tatsuo comes up to them, and Elrond looks at her. "give the halflings a chance, melon. They will be safe with us. Remember, I can burn the Enemy if I must," she said, smirking. Elrond shook his head, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I know, my dear friend, but even you should not risk your life... if we lose such a guardian, who knows what darkness shall consume us all?" Tatsuo scoffs, "Elrond, please. I'm better capable of taking care of myself than any of us. Now come frodo, the fellowship is waiting" frodo nodded and bowed his head apologetic to Elrond, who looked at them.

the half-elf sighed and turned. "The Ring-bearer is setting out on the Quest of Mount Doom. No oath nor bond is laid to go further than you will on you who travel with him. Farewell. Hold to your purpose. May the blessing of Elves and Men and all Free Folk go with you." the fellowship bows before the elf lord, then the grey wizard talks, "The Fellowship awaits the Ring-bearer." frodo sighs, turning around as the group parts for him. Gandalf and Tatsuo go right behind him like mother and father to a child. "Mordor, Gandalf, is it left or right?" frodo whispers to the grey, who smiles. "Left." Gandalf then places his hand on Frodo's left shoulder. The fellowship follows frodo unrelenting as they would until their paths must part. Until the end of all things.

Aragorn turns to bid a silent farewell. Elrond's daughter arwen stands in a group of elves, watching him. He nods to her and follows the fellowship out.

As we walked, Gandalf informed us of our path "We must hold to this course, west of the Misty Mountains, for forty days. Then, if our luck holds, the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us. From there, our road turns east to Mordor." I nod and continue to walk when Gandalf calls me to the front. I glance over my shoulder to Merry and Pippin, ensuring they and Sam are okay. They smile at me, and I nod, walking to see whatever the wizard could want. "yes, mithrandir?" As I stepped beside him, I questioned. he smiled a grandfather-like smile and placed a hand on my shoulder "go before scout and us, would you? We can't be too careful" I nodded and took the shape of a great black and white eagle. I heard the surprised gasp from the fellowship and stretched in playfully reply I wil be back soon. Take care, friends, I say and fly off, letting the wind bear me into the sky of vast blue clouds.
