GENEVIEVE CALLS JASPER AND ALICE and tells them that the wolves are coming to attack and plans to kill the newborn baby.
They could hear the paw steps of the wolves hitting the dirt; they broke their way to the treaty line.
"We're outnumbered," Jasper tells them as they exit the house.
"By a hell lot," Genevieve says as she eyes the wolves.
"I won't let them hurt my family," Edward says, and Genevieve starts to create her army of shadows.
She sees the pack of wolves emerge from the forest, the wolves growl specifically at Genevieve as they know her power, and she is a significant threat to them, making her their number one target to take down first.
Her hands created a mist of shadows as the wolves ran toward them.
The shadows surround their creator.
She was in the middle of the fight, sending out shadows in every direction, but since she hadn't fed for weeks and using her ability to the extent makes her weak, and the shadows barriers were also weak.
Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, and Greyson arrive at the scene. Greyson kicks the wolf to the tree, which was pinning Alice to the ground.
She didn't notice when a wolf leaped through her barrier of shadows, tackling her to the ground, the paws of the wolf were locking both of her arms to the ground, making her vulnerable, as the wolf was about to rip her head off, a white wolf tackles the black wolf, it was Leah's wolf, she thanks her and continues to fight for her family.
She backs up and goes to her family's side. She punches a wolf in the face and is thrown against a tree, making it whine loudly.
"Stop, it's over!" Jacob growls and runs toward his old pack. Sam is about to attack more but is stopped by Jacob.
"If you kill her, you kill me," Jacob yells at Sam. Genevieve is confused about Jacobs over protectiveness of the newborn baby since she remembers perfectly well that he didn't even want to carry Renesmee.
Then it clicked. She read about it, hours of spending time in the Volturi library, and she heard about the stories of the wolf tribes.
"Jacob imprinted," Genevieve announces, making the wolf pack and the coven of vampires look in her direction, Edward knew it before her, but he was still processing the information,
he read in Jacobs's mind that he imprinted on his daughter.
"They can't hurt her. Whoever a wolf imprinted on can't be harmed. It's their most absolute law," Edward finally says up, looking away from Jacob and looking towards Sam's black wolf.
The wolves growl. They were defeated, slowly walking back and running away into the forest. The family sighs in relief and looks at Jacob.
"So, Jacob is a freaking pedophile," Genevieve exclaims and looks at Jacob. The dog didn't even know how to explain himself.
"I didn't have a choice. Do you think I wanted to imprint on her?" Jacob defends, and the family starts to talk in the living room.
"Edward?" Carlisle asks his son, who looks furious. He speeds in front of Jacob and slams him against the wall.
"You are not going near her," Edward orders him, and Jacob looks defeated and just nods.
"Is no one going to point out that Jacob, who was in love with Bella since they were kids, can now have a platonic or even a romantic relationship with her daughter?" Genevieve asks them.
Emmett just laughs loudly. "If you put it that way, it's weird and awkward at the same time."
"I didn't even think that," Edward mutters and walks toward the room where Bella resided.
"SHE SHOULDN'T BE THIS STILL," Edward voices his thoughts out.
"As much as this looks scary, it's better than watching her thrashing and screaming in pain," Genevieve says as she looks at Bella and adjusts her dress.
Carlisle shakes his head. "It's the morphine."
"Maybe I was too late," Edward says while looking at his wife's body, who is now clean thanks to Genevieve, Alice, and Rosalie's efforts.
"Don't worry so much, Edward," Alice chirps. "She's going to be perfectly fine."
Jasper enters the room where the four vampires as at and, goes to Genevieve's side and looks at his sister-in-law.
"She's going to wake up in no time as a newborn," Jasper tells Edward and pats his back.
Rosalie is on the sofa with baby Renesmee in her arms. She is feeding her animal. They decided to switch out her diet to human food or animal blood.
Genevieve looks at the baby, and it was definitely calmer than when she was in her mother's room.
Rosalie looks at Genevieve with a smile on her face and gestures to her to carry Renesmee.
"I know that I'm a three-hundred-year-old vampire, but I never held a baby before. I might drop her," Genevieve warns as Rosalie hands her Renesmee in her arms.
"You won't," Rosalie assures her. Genevieve is really clueless, so Rosalie guides her on where she should support the baby.
Genevieve looks at Renesmee, and she is beautiful, as beautiful as her mother. She looks at the baby, who giggles and holds Genevieve's pinky finger with her little hand.
She is in awe.
She didn't realize that this was what she missed in exchange for immortality, an opportunity to be a mother. She understood Rosalie's longing for a child even more.
Jasper looks at Genevieve with a smile. He imagined having a family with her. She would've been a fantastic mother.
