ONCE the rain had cleared, Wanda and Carson moved from their hiding spot underneath the table. Carson helped Wanda up and after seeing the mess that had been caused in the house, she used her powers to open the door and bring in the wind from outside to dry everything.

Wanda took a deep breath. "Dorogoy... do you think it's time to—"

"Call the doctor?" Carson asked and Wanda nodded. "Of course Wands, you just stay there okay?"

Carson walked over to the phone and started to call Dr. Neilson, but after the whole incident with the power going off earlier, the phones still seemed to not be working.

"The phones are down. I'll go and find him." Carson started to walk towards the door but came to a stop when he remembered what the doctor told him before. "Shit, except he might of already left town."

"What?!" Wanda exclaimed. "At a time like this?"

Carson let out a sigh. "Wands, the baby is nine months early."

Wanda huffed and rolled her eyes.

"Listen, I can go and check." Carson suggested. "You'll be okay here for a little while, right?"

Wanda's face scrunched up a little in pain as another contraction hit her. She noticed Carson's hesitation in leaving and took hold of his hand. "I'll be fine."

"You're sure?"

"I promise." She assured.

Carson gave Wanda a quick kiss before he made a run for the door. Due to him rushing, the door closed a little louder than he intended making Wanda jump.

"Sorry!" She heard him call out from outside and she chuckled.

Carson ran as fast as he could down the street, not wanting to waste anytime in getting to Dr. Neilson's house. He did a quick check of his surroundings to see if anyone was around and once he had deemed the coast to be clear, he fired his energy down at the ground which gave him a boost in the air.

As he was in the air, his eyes darted around trying to find a glimpse of the doctor and his house to see if his car was on the driveway. But as Carson was looking, the same pain in his head returned and faint images started to flash before his eyes.

Carson was sat down in the quinjet, looking outside the window at the view of the city below them.

"It's nice up here, isn't it?" The redheaded woman said as she sat across from him.

Carson nodded. "It's quiet."

The woman leant back in her seat, staying silent for a moment as she watched him intently.

"You did great today, you know that right?" She told him.

"Tell that to tin can over there." Carson rolled his eyes.

The woman laughed. "Oh come on, you know he just gets worried about you, you're like his child. He'll lighten up soon. It's only because this is your second mission."

"Yeah." Carson sighed.

"Hey..." She walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Don't let it worry you okay? Because of you, we found that information a lot quicker. Sometimes it's better to listen to ourselves than to what other people are telling us... you got a feeling something wasn't right, you listened and it payed off."

"Wow, are you sure you're in the right profession?" Carson smirked. "You should be a motivational speaker."

"Ha. Ha." She rolled her eyes. "But I'm serious Carson. Promise me when you're in situations like this you'll always follow your gut? If your head is telling you there's something off, you'll listen?"

"I promise Nat."

He peeled his eyes away from the window and looked over at her. As soon as she caught his eye, she sent over a warm smile and he couldn't help but smile back.

And that was the last thing he remembered before his eyes opened once again.

He caught sight of Dr. Neilson on his drive and landed behind him so he couldn't see him using his powers. After hearing footsteps coming up behind him, Dr. Neilson turned around.

"Whoa, Mr. Swan?" Dr. Neilson looked at him confused. "Is everything okay with the wife?"

"Yes... no... I think so? I don't know!" Carson rambled. "Listen, Wanda is in labour."

"She's what?" Dr. Neilson asked in shock.

"Exactly what I just said!"

"That can't be possible, she's only a few months along."

Carson let out a sigh and started pulling the man with him as he speed walked down the road. "I'll explain on the way. All that matters, is that you come with me and help my wife!"

BACK AT the house, Geraldine helped Wanda out of the spare bedroom after Wanda's contractions started to get worse. At first, Wanda wasn't exactly content with the unexpected visit from her friend considering they were supposed to keep the pregnancy a secret.

But now that the baby seemed to be coming right now, she was a little relieved that she wasn't alone.

"Now, let's get you comfortable. Okay?" Geraldine said.

Wanda let out a groan and her eyes slammed shut. She held onto the back of the couch and stood still, not being able to move properly because of the pain.

"I think... I think I'm gonna lay down right here." Wanda told her.

Geraldine rushed over to the couch and grabbed a few pillows, setting them down on the floor where Wanda was going to lay down so she could be comfortable.

"Carson ran out to get the doctor." Wanda panted. "They should be back soon... I can wait."

"No, no, there's no time for that!" Geraldine ran into the kitchen to grab a few things that would help. "I'm gonna help you okay? Just relax, relax."

As she was running back over to Wanda, she let out a gasp when the light in the dining room fell from the ceiling and crashed onto the table. The pictures in the house were all spinning around, the fridge and oven were shaking, the fire from the fireplace roared.

"I may be late to the party." Geraldine knelt down next to Wanda. "But I imagine there is a logical explanation for this!"

"It's all perfectly natural!" Wanda let out a yell.

Geraldine set down the things she had brought from the kitchen. "Hey, hey, you're doing great. Look at me."

She started to do the breathing exercises and encouraged Wanda to do them with her. After a few seconds of trying, Wanda's eyes started to fill up and she shook her head.

"I can't d-do this." Wanda breathed out.

"Yeah, you can."

Wanda whimpered, biting down on her bottom lip so she wouldn't cry. "I can't... I can't."

"Yes, you can!" Geraldine assured her. "You can do this Wanda." Geraldine shuffled closer and checked Wanda to see if she was ready. Once she did, she looked back up at her and smiled. "It's time to start pushing. You ready?"

Wanda let out a small cry and shook her head in response.

"Yes you are, you are. Now push!" Geraldine encouraged her. "Push! Push Wanda!"

Wanda took a deep breath and listened to her. As she started pushing, she let out a loud scream and her head flew back into the pillow.

Everything in the house started get worse than before. A few bulbs smashed, the doors started to open and close, the hoover turned on by itself.

After a few more minutes of the same routine, everything seemed to slowly calm down. Wanda opened her eyes and let out a relieved breath after hearing the sound of a baby crying. She picked up her head and looked down at Geraldine who was wrapping the child up in a blanket.

"It's a boy." Geraldine told her. She leant over and carefully passed the baby over to Wanda.

Wanda took her child into her arms, tears of happiness escaping her eyes as she looked down at him with a huge smile.

"Hi... hi." She whispered. "Oh, he's perfect."

The front door suddenly burst open and Carson ran inside, Dr. Neilson not far behind.

"We're back, we're back!" Carson shouted. "Wanda the doctor's here—"

Carson's gaze travelled down to the floor when the sound of crying rang in his ears. His eyes landed upon Wanda who was still laying down, holding their child in her arms.

"I missed it..."

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't disappointed at the fact that he wasn't there during his child's birth, that he wasn't there for Wanda. But when she looked up at him, smiling away, he couldn't help but feel wave of euphoria wash over him.

"Hey, Doc, why don't you help me out in the kitchen there?" Geraldine suggested, wanting the couple to have a moment to themselves.

Dr. Neilson stumbled down the steps. "We— we were running so fast and then I could've sworn we flew through the air."

Geraldine lead Dr. Neilson into the kitchen with her and left the couple alone.

Carson walked down the steps and crouched down next to Wanda. He gently moved her hair from out her face and kissed the top of her head. "I'm sorry I wasn't here. But you did amazing Wands."

Wanda tilted up her head and kissed him softly. "Well, don't you want to meet your son?" She pulled back and asked with a toothy grin.

Carson looked down at his son and smiled widely, running the back of his finger down his cheek. Wanda shuffled her position and started to pass him over. Their son reached out and held onto the sleeve of Carson's jacket.

"Ooh, you're strong." Wanda cooed.

He took his son into his arms and looked down at him. "Hello there, little Tommy."

"Tommy?" Wanda asked him.

"Yes, Tommy." Carson nodded. He knew how much Wanda liked the name. "It has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"

Wanda giggled and Carson leant down to kiss her once more, but before he could, Wanda let out a loud scream which made Carson do the same.

"WHAT?! WHAT IS IT?!"

Wanda groaned and pointed to her stomach making Carson's eyes widen. "There's another?!"

"Billy!" Wanda yelled.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck."

"CARSON!" Wanda shouted at him swearing, gesturing to the baby in his arms.

"Shit sorry. Oh crap— SORRY, SORRY." Carson panicked.

THE SWAN couple stood in their living room, Carson holding Billy, Dr. Neilson holding Tommy. Geraldine was sat on the couch watching from afar with a smile while Wanda was stood at Carson's side, holding onto his arm as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"Twenty fingers and twenty toes." Dr. Neilson spoke up. "You've got two healthy baby boys on your hands."

Dr. Neilson passed Tommy over to Wanda. "Thank you, doctor." Wanda said.

"All in a days work." The man smiled. He turned to Geraldine. "And thank you for your assistance, young lady. I think you might have what it takes to be a nurse."

Carson gently set Billy down in his crib. "I'll walk you out doc."

"Alright." He nodded. "As long as he actually walk this time."

The two men made their way outside and Geraldine got up from the couch, doing a little excited walk over to Wanda and the babies.

Carson closed the door behind him and started to walk Dr. Neilson to the end of the driveway.

"Thanks again doc, really." Carson told him sincerely. "I hope you and the wife are still able to make your trip."

"Ah, yes, my trip... I don't think we'll get away after all." The man chuckled nervously. "Small towns, you know. So hard to... escape."

Dr. Neilson shared a look with Carson and he furrowed his brows in confusion. Before he had the chance to ask what he meant, Dr. Neilson started to walk away, going back to his house.

Carson turned around to walk back inside but his hearing seemed to lock onto a conversation between Agnes and Herb which caught his attention.

"What's she doing in there?" Agnes whispered.

He turned around and looked at the two. "Hey Herb, Agnes."

They both looked up at him and broke out of their conversation.

"Hey!"

"Howdy!"

Agnes turned back around to Herb and the two continued to whisper to each other secretively. Well, they thought they were being secretive. They didn't know Carson could hear every word they were saying.

"Did you see her go in?"

"Yeah, she walked right in."

"And her tummy was..."

"Did Geraldine—"

"Great weather today, right?" Carson walked over to the pair, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied their body language. They were nervous about something, on edge, and he was going to find out. "Did you lose power too?"

Agnes turned around and nodded. "Ugh sure did. But Ralph looks better in the dark, so I'm not complaining."

Carson nodded slowly and turned his attention to Herb, who was awfully quiet. "Hi Herb."

"Hey, buddy." The man smiled.

Carson slid his hands into the pockets on his jacket. He glanced down at Herb's chest, the sound of his quickening heartbeat filling his ears.

"You're nervous." Carson stated.

Herb stuttered on his words, the observation from Carson catching him off guard. He eventually regained his composure and cleared his throat but Agnes decided to chime in instead.

"Is Geraldine inside with Wanda?" Agnes asked.

"Yes, why?"

"You're such a strong lady." Geraldine smiled at Wanda as they were stood back inside, looking down at the twins in their cribs.

Wanda chuckled and waved off her compliment. "Oh, stop it."

"Can you believe it? Twins!" Geraldine held onto Tommy's hand. "Hi."

"I'm a twin." Wanda turned to Geraldine. "I had a brother. His name was Pietro."

Geraldine's smiled faded as she watched Wanda turn her attention back to her children, singing to them softly in Sokovian. She blinked a few times, taking in her surroundings. It was then that she started to remember in bits and pieces.

The headlines, the news broadcasts, the interviews.

All of it.

2015, The Avengers vs Ultron.

"He was killed by Ultron, wasn't he?"

Wanda froze and slowly turned to look at Geraldine, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "What did you say?"

"She's new to town, brand new." Herb told Carson.

"There's no family." Agnes continued. "No husband."

Carson shrugged. "Well, there's nothing wrong with that."

"Hmm." Agnes hummed. "No home."

"What?"

"What did you say, just now?" Wanda asked once more after receiving no response from her friend.

Geraldine smiled, her demeanour from earlier seeming to switch off. "I said, Wanda, you're such a strong lady." She walked over to the couch and sat down. "Should I say it one more time for good measure?"

"No." Wanda's eyes narrowed. "What did you say about Pietro?"

"Pietro?" Geraldine looked at her confused. "Uh... Hey, I'll take a shift rocking the babies."

Geraldine stood up from the couch and started to walk over. Although she soon stopped when Wanda stood in front of the crib, blocking her from being able to get closer.

"I think you should leave." Wanda said.

"Oh, Wanda, don't be like that." Geraldine shook her head.

Back outside, Carson took a step closer as he spoke to his two neighbours.

"What do you mean she has no home?"

Herb sighed. "She came here because... because..."

"Because what Herb?" Carson pushed. "What is it you're trying to tell me?"

"What is that?" Wanda pointed to the necklace Geraldine was wearing.

"What..."

"That." Wanda walked closer. "That symbol."

"I, uh.... I..." Geraldine stammered.

"Who are you?"

"I don't...."

Herb took a deep breath before speaking. "She came here... because we're all—"

"Stop it!" Agnes interrupted him.

Herb opened his mouth to continue speaking but Agnes looked up at him with pleading eyes, shaking her head at him.

"No, no." Carson shook his head. "What was you going to say Herb? It's alright, you can tell me."

Herb glanced back down at Agnes and once he made eye contact with Carson again, he just simply smiled.

"Must've forgotten." He shrugged.

Carson looked down at Agnes as glared at her.

What did she not want Herb to tell him?

Was it something she was hiding?

"Well, I better get going." Agnes held her eye contact with Carson. "That macramé's not gonna hitch itself."

With a quick wink, Agnes hit the bell on her bike a few times before walking down their driveway and cycling back to her house. Carson's jaw locked tightly and he looked back at Herb, seeing if now that Agnes had gone he'd say something.

"Herb?" Carson raised a brow.

Herb chuckled and picked up the trimmer that he was using on his flower bushes.

"Catch you on the flip side, Carson."

"I asked you, a question." Wanda's tone became harsh. "Who are you?"

Geraldine let out a shaky breath. "Wanda..."

Wanda's head tilted to the side as she began walking closer to Geraldine, her jaw clenching tightly. Geraldine started to take a few steps back but when her legs hit the couch, she had nowhere else to go.

"I..." Geraldine stuttered.

"Who. Are. You." Wanda asked again.

"Wanda, I'm just your neighbour."

"Then how did you know about Ultron?"

Geraldine took a deep breath. "Wanda... just listen to me, okay?"

Wanda shook her head and slowly lifted up her hands, her energy starting to pool in her palm, forming a ball.

"You're not my neighbour... and you're definitely not my friend." Wanda snarled, venom lacing her tone. "You're with them aren't you? Trying to take him away from me? That's what it is, isn't it?"

"Wanda please—"

"You are a stranger, an outsider." Wanda's eyes started to flicker red. "Right now, you are trespassing here. And I think it's time, for you... to leave."

With that, Wanda extended her arms out in front of her and sent a blast right at Geraldine's chest. The woman was thrown through the back wall of the house and Wanda's ball of energy stayed against her stomach, pushing her back through the air until she collided with the threshold of the hex.

Wanda exhaled shakily and looked down at her hands, the sound of the babies crying seeming to pull her out of her trance. Her attention was turned to the hole in the wall from where she had launched Geraldine through and her eyes widened in shock of what she'd just done.

As she heard footsteps coming back towards the front door, she quickly used her powers to patch up the wall.

Carson burst through the front door, his eyes darting around the room for Wanda and Geraldine, wanting to make sure that his wife or kids wasn't in any danger.

He let out a breath when he saw Wanda with her back to him, looking down at their sons and humming to herself quietly.

"Wanda..." Carson spoke up. "Where's Geraldine?"

"Oh, she left, honey." Wanda replied. "She had to rush home."

Wanda turned around to look at Carson, a gasp leaving her mouth at the sight. He was in his suit that he wore for missions, rips down the side, dried blood on his face. His left hand had the six infinity stones sitting in place, the power from them running up his arm and lighting up his veins as they burned into his skin.

She closed her eyes and covered her mouth, turning her head away from him. Carson furrowed his brows and cautiously started to walk over to her.

"What is it Wands?" He asked her. "What's wrong?"

Wanda hesitantly opened her eyes again, letting out a sigh of relief when she saw him back to normal. "I, uh..."

"We don't have to stay here." Carson told her, taking her hands into his. "We could go wherever we want."

"No." Wanda shook her head, her eyes filling up slightly. "We can't."

"Wanda..."

She reached up, placing her hand on his cheek. "This is our home."

Carson placed his hand on top of hers and looked down at her. "Are you sure?"

"Oh, don't worry, dorogoy." Wanda smiled. "I have everything under control."

She has everything under control.
