────── THE ORIGINS,

The Martell's are known as the rulers of Sunspear. They are known for their sun kissed dark skin and their deep brown eyes. Among their physical beauty, House Martell is also known for their great kingdom hidden behind it's massive walls, and the fact that they do not have Kings or Queens- only Princes and Princesses.
Their blood is some of the oldest in Westeros. Twenty years before the reign of Viserys Targaryen, Sunspear was conquered by the Targaryens in a feisty battle. Eventually, due to their resources, the Targaryen forces won, and since then the Martell bloodline has been under the rule of the Targaryens.
Following the death of Viserys Targaryen, Aegon Targaryen has been crowned the new ruler of The Seven Kingdoms. Kings, Queens, Lord and Ladies, Princes and Princesses, have traveled from far and wide to state their claim to the new King.
