THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Being the CEO of  Tara Cosmetics hasn't been easy at all and now we've been working endless to launch our very first fashion line. We haven't even developed a name yet and its up to me to come up with that.  I was so exhausted that the minute I got home, I went straight to my room and straight to bed.

That was how i skipped breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday because I was too worried with making this new fashion line a big hit. It's the first time we were branching out ever and if anything goes wrong, it would be all my fault so, I couldn't risk it. Every one had their hands on deck  including me and i was even more than happy that Zoey offed to help. At least she has relived me of having to look for models to wear our new fashion line.

3:30am

I yawned loudly as I got up feeling the need to use the bathroom. I checked  the time on my iPhone 11 and it read thirty minutes  passed 3 in the morning. I groaned inwardly realizing I had over slept, and my short nap had turned into a good night sleep. It wasn't the first time I had come home too exhausted to eat or change out of my work clothes and went to bed like that.

Once I got up I noticed I was still in my work outfit, I groaned out loud realizing i had just gone to bed in my work clothes from yesterday.  I peeled myself out of my work clothes and got into my bathing rob since it was already the next day, I decide to just take a full bath saving my self the stress of having to do so when the day breaks.

By the time I was done, it was already few minute past 5 in the morning. I must have fallen asleep in the bathroom again. Oh well, I better get my day stared. I yawned loudly again still feeling very sleepy and tired, I walked into my walking closet to try and find Something  appealing  yet comfortable enough to wear to work.
Once I had decided on what to wear,

I entered my room back only to be startled by my younger sister's presence, Emma. I glared at her and she only smiled at me and said cheerfully

"Good morning to you too sis, how was your night? "

"Don't asked a question with an obvious answer, and how many times do I have to tell you not to come into my room uninvited.  What If I was naked? "

I dead panned and causing her face to
scrunch up in a disgusted glare.

"Ewwww gross, now I can't get the disturbing Image out of my head "

I chuckled at her response before moving to my dressing table to start getting dressed for work. After a while i spoke up saying.

"Why are you in my room,  it's not time to renew your data; besides your still writing exams. And if you need to do anything serious, there is the family wifi "

" I know,  I just...  I need your help,  I need you to visit Denis Adeleke in the hospital."

I visibly froze, I had finished creaming my self. I was applying my usual light make up when she said that. I closed my eyes to steady my breathing  and once I was calm, I spoke up as I applied my make up nonchalantly.

"Oh Emma, you know I can't  do that,  there is a reason I've avoided being in the same space, room or location with him. You of all people should know that. "

"Yes I do and there is a reason I'm asking you to over look that, over look all of that, pay him a visit. Just this once"

"Emma you know I can't do that, i can't --"

" Yes you can,  you just don't want to because you caught him cheating on you. But have you thought of the possibility that all isn't what it seems, the past isn't what it seems. "

"Emma that's enough already!!  I'm not going to see him and that's final!!!  Now if you don't have anything else useful to say I suggest  you leave "

I said raising my voice higher than intended  at my younger sister for the first time. This caused  her to flick at the impact for it's been awhile  i flared up, plus this is a very touchy subject for me.  She stood up and went for the door but stopped with her had resting on the door handle. She spoke up saying

"Hmm...  I'm sorry I brought  this up...  But just so you know  Ademuyiwa Denis Adeleke is dying,  and its your presence right beside his hospital bed in  St Nicholas hospital that could restore him back to full health... "

With hesitation and uncertainties in the air she left my room and went to preparer for school.  She still had exams to deal with and the toughest one was today,  Physics.  Her last statement got me thinking....

Could my presence really be what he needed??..
Or could this be one of Emmanuella pranks just to get me and Denis back together??

I was so scared to find out but i have a good feeling she was telling the truth. I mean she did mention to me how her presence at the hospital Kelvin was led to his speedy recovery.  Urgh this very tricky but I thought its worthy it to safe his life.  I mean I can  always go back to hating him once has fully recovered. Once I had concluded on going to see him later that day, I got out of my bathing rob wore my matching under garment before getting dressed in my desired outfit
I had picked from my closest earlier.

3:40pm

Make way! make way!! Emergency coming through

I quickly stopped in time for the nurses who where  wheeling a patient in.  She looks to to be in labour from the pained expression on her face, I grimaced as her piercing scream filled the hallway.  The thought  that I would someday, very soon be in her position made me tremble  in fear.  If this was what I would have to go through to bring to life another human; then I think I'll  pass.

I wasn't a big fan of hospitals at all because it carried both good and bad  new and it smells like old shoes because of all the Chemistry and medicine they use here I walked up to the receptionist. A middle aged woman who looks to be my age.  She was absolutely stressed and I pitied her.  She must have been through a lot today because the number of people in the receptionist room where over 20. I walked up to her and asked her 

"Good day pls is there any Ademoyiola   Denis Adeleke admitted"

"Oh ma'am, I'm sorry, but visiting hours starts by 1 and ends by 4, only family member are allowed any time after 4."

"Your bluffing right, its just 3:42 c'mon I still have some minutes left. Please let me see him its urgent "

"What going on here? "

A doctor who looks in his mid 30's interrupted our conversation he came close to where I was standing and asked again

"What's the matter?" .

This ma'am here seeks to see a patient after visiting  hours and she doesn't appear to be a family  member. "

"Amaka its to 4?!?  hmmm That alright  I'll take its from here. Miss, walk with me"

So, her name is Amaka, no wonder.

I thought as I followed the doctor to the hallway to have a discussion 

" you are?... "

"My name is Eniola Addison Adetokunbo and I am here to pay a friendly visit to Ademoyiwa Denis Adeleke. Pls just for 5min and I'll be out of your hair "

"Wait did you sat Addison Asin Addie"

"Urr yes how did you ---"

"Well Denis has been calling that name all day long. I was hoping that certain Addie would show up soon.  Anyway, come right this way "

"Thank you doctor. "

I was still in my work clothes because I hadn't gone home yet. I had closed from work early so, I could heed Emmanuella's waring, and here I was standing in Denis's hospitals room. His breathing was slow and steady, at least he was alive but, didn't look like he was going to make it, he looked so pale, void of any colour,  his eyes were closed and his usual low cut was now full and bushy, the doctor left us and let us have our moment.

I walked further into the room, I dropped my bag on the chair that was put beside his bed and sat closed to him on the bed. Few seconds later, I head him call out to me in a short raspy voice like he knew I was right there.

"Yes baby, It's okay,  your Addie is here, I'm right here baby "

I said as I chocked out a sob and hugged him as tight as I could. In no time, his eyes flew open out of intimacy.  He began hyperventilating and gasping  for breath, I quickly  released him from the hug and drew back to look at him.  He had stopped gasping and he was calm now as I stared at his dull brown eyes as it stared back at me.  After a while, he spoke calling out to me with a weak smile on his lips,  how I missed  crashing mine on it but I could think of that now as he called out to me again

"Addie... Y.. You came "

"Of course, I came, I'm right here baby"

"Who knew hitting my head in a bath tub, landing in the hospital would get you to call me that again "

He said chuckling softly and i playful glared at him and he only smiled at me sheepishly.  After a while, silence endured and I could feel him staring at me well enough. I looked up to catch his eyes on me. I gave him a lopsided smile before teasing him

"What's the matter, you like what you see "

He blushed and looked away from me and I giggled realizing  I still had a strong effect on him.  After what felt like hours, he finally said out loud

"I'm really sorry Eniola, I didn't mean to hurt you like that. It was wrong of me to cheat on you and I swear on--"

"I know you didn't cheat  on me. Few month after you just disappeared, Amanda came to me office telling me how I had walked in on you two in the moment. "

"I swear, I would never cheat on you, it's the last thing I would ever do, not to talk of with my good for nothing personal assistant. Amanda cornered me. Forcing herself on me and that was when you walked in. Please Eniola, you have to believe me, I would never do anything to hurt you."

"I know you won't but you could have said something, reached out to me--"

"I swear I tried. I kept calling your number, but it kept going to voice mail, I called your sister Zoey but she  wouldn't pick my calls. It was few weeks after that my brother and I got involved in a car accident that made us loose our phones and memory of everything that happened that month and before.  It all happened because we were rushing to meet up with your little sister on Valentines day at Hard rocks Cafe.  Well i Kelvin never got his memory back, but I did 2months later and that why i was try to reach out to you,  to apologize but you never gave me a chance."

"Wait car crash?  O.M.G! I am so sorry, I...  I, d..  I didn't know "

"It's fine, I'm all better now that you're  here "

He said coughing a little as he tried to sit up in the bed. I quickly  went to his side to help him sit up before grabbing a water bottle from my bag to give him to drink. We kept joking around and talking about everything and anything to the point that I didn't know time was fast spent. I got a call from Zoey who sounded  agitated as she asked for my were about.  It was then I noticed it was way past 8 pm and I had already missed dinner with the family.  I quickly reassured her I was on my way home as I began to miss the feeling of being close to Denis, I guess he was missing me too as he asked with a pouted lips and I fought the urge to kiss it

"Can't you spend the night here. just this once?"

"Honey I wish I could, but I have to go. My parents are expecting me "

Okay honey. Baby, where are all this pet names coming from!?!  We aren't even engaged. I mentally scolded myself.   When I saw the sad look on the face, my heart ached as I was desperate to make him smile again. Out of the blue, I just blurted out 

"Ooh don't feel sad. It makes me mad to see you sad. Don't worry. I promise I'll be here first thing in the morning "

Immediately his face split up into a grin as he smiled like a new born baby  who just got his first toy, I giggled at him as I couldn't hold it any more. I lifted myself from his bed and hovered myself over him wanting to peck his head.  It was either I was too slow and he was too fast or It was the other way round, because, the minutes my lips where on the same level with his he moved swiftly capturing my lips with his holding my face in position.  Within that time, nothing else mattered as I felt myself floating in a bubble to cloud 9.

Ahhhhh!!!!! Denis is alive,  alive I tell you alive!!!!  Who's excited people!!!  Oh well I know I am.  It's not like he was dead, but he wasn't exactly alive either.

They finally kiss after four years of being apart from each other. Did I hear someone Awwwning 😁😁😁
