love u too

steve threw her phone down, setting her attention back onto the movie she was watching. she honestly didn't even know what the movie was about, clicking on it at random. her eyebrows furrowed as she continued to watch in confusion, nothing clicking in her brain. she would change it to something else, but she was too lazy to search for another one. so she just sat there, confused on whatever she was watching. her phone then started to ring, making the carpenter girl pick it up to see who it was. she saw peter's contact picture on her screen, her eyebrows furrowing. donnie told her that peter had detention for the whole day. she pressed green button on her screen before she brought it up to her ear.

"aren't you suppose to be in detention? how are you calling me right now?" she quizzed, eyes going back to her laptop screen.

"well, good morning to you too, stevie." peter commented sarcastically, making stevie roll her eyes. "uh, what are you doing right now?"

"wallowing in self pity as i watch a very confusing movie." stevie answered.

"okay, so remember the a.i. that's in my suit?" peter questioned.

"sure."

"well, i asked karen to track down one of the guys that we saw at the bridge. specifically, the buyer.ย  his name is aaron davis and karen told me that he's currently parking his car." peter explained quickly, making stevie assume that karen was the a.i.ย  "i was gonna go talk to him, try to get something out of him. do you wanna come?"

"yeah, sure. where am i meeting you?" stevie asked, sitting up from her bed.

peter told her where to meet him at, the both of them hanging up. stevie didn't ask how peter had gotten out of detention, coming to the conclusion that he probably snuck out or something. she went over to the corner of her room where her suit was hidden, pressing down on the floorboards. this made it pop up, the curly haired girl bending down to retrieve her suit. she placed the floorboard back in it's place before she stripped of her clothing. she then pulled her suit on, quickly placing her hair into two braids before she put her mask on. she then stuffed her phone into the pocket that she had for it. with that, she jumped out her window, shooting a web out.

it only took her a few minutes to get to the location, the spiderling landing on top of a parking garage next to peter. she crouched down, looking at her friend that was cladded in his red and blue suit. "should i ask how you got out of detention, or. . ?"

"that's not important right now." peter told her, the black around his lenses closing as he shook his head. they then snapped back open as he looked at her. "karen apparently has this advanced interrogation protocol thing, so i'm gonna use that. what are you gonna do?"

"go with the flow, i guess." stevie shrugged.

"go with the flow?" peter repeated, looking at the curly haired girl with a bored look.

"look, i don't have cool a.i. or an advanced interrogation mode, okay?" stevie defended, making peter raise his hands in surrender.

"okay, my bad. we should probably find out where he is." peter said. "alright, droney, find aaron davis."

a second later, the spider on the front of peter's suit popped out and started hovering in mid-air. stevie smiled slightly when it let out a little squeak, turning to look at her. then it flew around her head before it went to go do what peter had told it to do. stevie couldn't help but laugh at it's cuteness, wishing she had a little drone.

"i think he likes you better than me." peter mumbled. "okay, he found him. let's roll!"

without saying another word, peter jumped off the top of the parking garage, telling karen to activate advance interrogation mode. stevie rolled her eyes at the boy as she stood up. she then stepped off the garage, falling towards the ground. she quickly followed peter, the both of them shooting webs out to attach to one of the garage levels before they pulled themselves through the little space. stevie spots droney hovering over a man's shoulder, stevie realizing that he was the man from that night on the bridge. the man, aaron davis, hadn't noticed droney, opening up his trunk to place his groceries in. peter quickly shot his hand out, a web shooting out and sticking aaron's hand to the car.

stevie had to hold back a laugh as she watched droney scan aaron's confused face.

"remember us?" peter questioned, his voice being extremely lower than it was moments ago. stevie looks at the boy with raised eyebrows, glad that she had her mask on her face to cover her shock.

"uh, hey -" aaron stuttered, trying to back away but to no avail thinks to the web that was keeping him to his car.

"we need information and you're gonna give it to us now." peter demanded. all stevie could do was nod, knowing that if she tried to join in, it'll ruin this whole intimidating thing peter had going on. although, it was hard to take the voice seriously.

"all right, chill." aaron told him, holding out his other hand.

"come on!"

the scared look on aaron's face then turned into one of confusion, the tension in his shoulders vanishing as he looked at spider-man with furrowed eyebrows. "what happened to your voice?"

"what do you mean what happened to my voice?" peter asked.

"i heard you by the bridge. i know what a girl sound like." aaron replied, making stevie purse her lips.

"i'm not a girl, i'm a boy! i mean, i'm a - i'm a man!" peter corrected quickly, looking back at remnant. the girl simply nodded, holding her thumbs up.

aaron turns to look at remnant to, noticing how she hasn't said anything this whole time. "i don't care what you are, a boy, a girl -"

"i'm not a girl, i'm a man!" peter insists.

"yo, can you tell us who's selling the weapons?" stevie chimed in, stepping forward.

"we need to know. give us names or else." peter threatened, making stevie roll her eyes. it was clear as day that aaron was no longer intimidated by the boy's deep voice.

suddenly, aaron used the hand that was stuck on top of the trunk to slam it close, a blank expression written all over his face. that made peter jump back, bumping into stevie. the carpenter girl help the boy gain his balance back, shaking her head slightly.

"so much for being intimidating." she mumbled, making peter look back at her.

"you ain't never done this before, huh?" aaron questioned.

peter's shoulders dropped in defeat, turning to look at droney. "deactivate interrogation mode."

with that, droney flew back into peter's suit, placing himself back into his little slot. aaron let out a chuckle from his spot, shaking his head slightly.

"look, man." peter started, his usual soft tone being back. "these guys are selling weapons that are crazy dangerous. they can't just be out on the streets. look, if one of them can cut delmar's bodega in half -"

"you know delmar's?" aaron interrupted.

"yeah, best sandwich in queens." peter nods.

"sub haven's pretty good."

"it's too much bread."

"i like bread."

stevie quickly stepped in, clapping her hands as she looked between peter and aaron. "did we completely forget what the hell we were talking about that fast? are you gonna give us something or not?"

aaron shuts his mouth, twisting it to the side as he looked at her. the curly haired girl looked back at him for a few seconds before she realized that he wasn't gonna say anything else. with that, she let out a sigh of defeat, shaking her head slightly as she turned to look at peter. before she could even say anything, the parker boy was already storing off.

"stupid interrogation mode. karen, don't ever do that again." he muttered.

"the other night, you told that dude, 'if you're gonna shoot somebody, shoot me.'" aaron said, making peter freeze in his spot and stevie turn around. "and you, you was ready to fight, even though you didn't know the whole situation. it's pretty ballsy. i don't want those weapons in this neighborhood. i got a nephew who live here."

"oh, so you are a decent human." stevie mumbled, earning a bored look from aaron.

"who are these guys? what can you tell us about the guy with the wings?" peter quizzed.

"other than he's a psychopath dressed like a demon, nothing. i don't know who he is or where he is." aaron answered, making peter lean onto his car in frustration. aaron then brought his hand up to rub at the stubble on his face. "i do know where he's gonna be."

peter leaned off the car at that, looking at the older man as his lenses widened. "really?"

"yeah, this crazy dude i used to work with, he's supposed to be doing a deal with him." aaron informed.

"yes! yes!" peter exclaimed, jumping up in excitement before he started to walk away. stevie watched him walk away, her eyebrows furrowed.

"hey, hey, hey!" aaron called, making peter turn around to look at him. "i didn't tell you where. you don't have a location."

"right, of course. yeah, my bad. silly. just -" peter apologized, quickly walking back to his partner and aaron. "yeah. where is it?"

"can i give you some advice?" aaron asked, looking at spider-man specifically. the vigilante hummed in response, tilting his head slightly. "you gotta get better at this part of the job."

"i don't understand. i'm intimidating." peter reasoned, leaning on aaron's car as he folded his arms over his chest.

stevie brought her hand up to her rub at her temples, having a headache.

"no, you're not." aaron told him before he pointed over to where stevie was standing. "she definitely is. aren't you two partners? you need to teach him."

"i'm working on it." stevie nodded. "where's the location at, dude?"

"staten island ferry, 11." aaron informed.

"oh, that's soon." peter realized, leaning off the car. "hey, that's gonna dissolve in two hours." he told aaron as he backed away, grabbing stevie's hand.

"no, no, no, no. come fix this." aaron shook his head, pointing to his webbed hand.

"two hours. you deserve that."

"i got ice cream in here."

"you deserve that. you're a criminal. bye, mr.criminal."

"ow, ow, ow, ow!" she muttered, moving her arm around to work out the aching muscle. she stopped when she heard a crack. "fuck! that hurt."

"you alright?" peter asked in a hushed voice, the white areas on his mask narrowing with worry.

"yeah, i'll be fine." stevie dismissed.

"okay, karen, activiste enhances reconnaissance mode." peter told his a.i as he crawled towards one of the windows.

stevie follows his lead, peaking through the window to see if she recognized anyone on the ferry. she doesn't say anything for a few seconds, listening to peter talk to karen, hearing her muffled voice through his suit. her eyes caught sight of one the guys from the bridge. it was the bald dude that she was fighting in the van.

"one of the guys from the bridge is here, but he's here with an old dude. karen says that the old guys doesn't have a criminal record." peter quickly explained. droney then detached itself from peter's suit, crawling up his body until he got to the top of his head. "hey, droney , keep an eye on that guy. we can't let anybody get away this time." with that, droney starts to hover in mid-air, letting out a little squeak in understanding.

"i want one." stevie mumbled, following peter up the side of the ferry.

the both of them swiftly climb up towards the top of the ferry, avoiding the windows so that they wouldn't be noticed. once they were at the top, they went over to the edge of the roof, peering over it to see if they could see any familiar faces. stevie doesn't recognize anybody, but she see's four men standing on the main deck, all of them basically wearing the same thing. she could hear peter talking to karen again, the parker boy basically repeating any information to stevie.

"no, karen, stop it with the instant kill already." peter blurted out, earning a confused look from stevie.

the bald man from the heists suddenly appeared on the main level, walking towards the group of men. "white pickup truck."

mac gargan, peter telling her that he was the short man with a buzzed head and a scorpion tattoo, glanced over to where a tall asian man was standing. the asian man walked over to where the cars were parked, disappearing out of the two vigilantes' line of sight.

"droney, scan the ship for a white pickup truck." peter instructed before it went silent for a few seconds. "ah, this is too perfect. they got the weapons, buyers, and sellers in all one place." he seemed to have been interrupted, his sentence ending shortly before the white areas on his mask widened. "no, no, no, no! don't answer!"

stevie furrowed her eyebrows at him, watching as he backed away slightly. when she had heard him start to talk again, along with another muffled voice that wasn't karen's, she assumed that he was on a call. she turned back around to look at the three men on the mail level, keeping a close eye on them just in case one of them disappeared. but her concentration was broken by the sound of a loud horn, the carpenter girl flinching so hard that it looked like her body did a screenshot.

"ow!" she hissed out, quickly bringing her hands up to her ears to stop the ringing that had appeared. "ow! what the hell was that?! what the fuck?!" she mumbled, shaking her head to get her senses back in check. she then looked back down towards the men, raising her eyebrows when she had seen bald man holding up a pair of keys towards gargan. "petey, bald man has keys!"

"i gotta go! uh, end call!" peter quickly told karen. he then flung out an arm as he pressed on his web shooter, a web shooting out and attaching itself to the keys. "i'll take those! yoink!"

stevie watched as he shot up from his spot on the roof and landed on the main level, eyebrows furrowing as she processed what had just happened. "did he just say yoink?" she asked herself as she dropped down next to him.

"hey, guys. the illegal weapons-deal ferry was at 10:30. you missed it!" peter commented as he held up the keys. he then shot a web out at the men that was on either side of him, pulling the webs and making the men go flying behind him.

stevie swiftly moved over to where gargan was standing, seeing that he had reached for his belt to try and retrieve his gun. "got be quicker than that." she mumbled before she grabbed the hand that was holding the gun. she then turned around, swinging the man around with her before throwing him off the ferry. "get over here!" she yelled in a deep voice as she pressed down on her web shooters. webs flung out and attached themselves onto the gargan's chest, the curly haired girl quickly pulling on them. that made gargan move quickly towards the ferry, landing on the edge of it. "damn, that's gotta hurt."

"stevie!" she heard peter cry out just as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.

the spiderling quickly ducked down as she took a step backwards, watching as a familiar electric-shock glove wedged itself into the railing. sparks fly from the glove as the man tried to get it out, looking over to where remnant was standing with a scowl on his face. stevie sees this, a smile pulling at his lips as she watched him struggle. a web flies from behind her, sticking the shock glove to the railing.

"whoa, whoa, whoa! not so fast!" peter then let out, making stevie turn to look at him. she watched as he shot out some webs, all of them attaching themselves onto the men that he had thrown earlier. he pulled at the webs again, sending the men flying to the side, along with a motorcycle. "are you guys okay? my bad. that was a little hard." he then turned to where bald man was on the floor. "i gotta say, the other guy was way better with that thing. i'm honestly. . . i'm - i'm shocked."

stevie walked over towards him, watching him remove his older web cartridges before replacing them with new ones. "did you say yoink earlier, or did i make that up?"

before he could answer, the sound of a man screaming behind him appeared. without even turning around to look at him, peter flung his arm out and shot out a web. the web attached itself onto one of the cars, beeping frantically before a bunch of webbing shot out of it. the man flew onto the wall, web sticking it to him.

"you showoff." stevie mumbled, only earning a shrug from the parker boy.

the sound of banging then echoed through the corridor, gaining the two spiderlings' attention. they turned to see the old dude from earlier (peter's words, not stevie's) banging the asian man's head onto a white van. they watched as the asian man crumbled to the floor, the old man turning to look at the both of them. stevie mumbled something under her breath, getting ready to move towards the old man, but she stopped when she heard,

"freeze! fbi! don't move!"

this made her stop in place, her attention going to the second level to see men pointing guns at her in peter. more men then busted from the stairwell, guns in their hands as they announced themselves. stevie automatically put her hands up, not wanting any trouble. although they couldn't see the color of her skin, it didn't stop her from being terrified.

"what do you mean, fbi?" peter questioned, raising his hands. it went quiet for a few seconds, stevie hearing karen saying something from inside peter's suit. "I know what fbi means. but what are they doing here?"

stevie flinched when she saw a familiar mechanical wing pop out of a van. this caught everyone's attention, the fbi agents turning and pointing their guns towards the van. stevie slowly moved her hands down as she watched another mechanical wing pop out, clawing the owner out of the van until he was hovering in mid-air. stevie took notice of how long the wingspan was, the points of each wing almost touching both sides of the corridor. she also noticed the purple tinted weapon in his hands. the old man then started to fly towards them, the agents immediately starting to shoot.

"get out of the way! get out of the way!" peter tried, but no one was listening to him.

the old dude with the wings, vulture, shot a blast towards the agents. stevie was quick to shoot out her hands, webs flying through the air and attaching themselves to two of the fbi agents. she pulled at them gently, not wanting to knock them out but wanting to move them so they wouldn't get hurt. vulture then moves towards a car, landing on it before whatever he had on his legs and feet grabbed it. he picked the car up and threw it, peter being quick to move another agent out of the way. but that also made him get hit with the car, stevie catching him with some webbing while the car went overboard.

"i feel so bad for that owner." stevie mumbled as she helped peter stand up.

the two vigilantes then looked up, seeing vulture hovering in mid air as he looked down at the ferry. he then shot a blast from his gun, it being aimed towards the electronic-shock glove that the bald man was wearing. the blast cut through webbing, setting the man free. "get to the top deck. we're getting out of here."

the bald man did as told, running over towards the stairwell. peter was quick to shoot a web towards him, but it was immediately cut from a blast that vulture shot at it. peter shot out another web, it attaching to vulture's foot. vulture simply pulled his leg a little, causing peter to slide against the floor before he regained his footing. vulture then moved one of his wings in front of him, blocking the bullets that were being shot from the fbi agents.

"can't they see that they're not helping?" stevie questioned as she watching vulture shoot another blast towards the agents. stevie was quick to shoot some webs towards the agents, pulling them out of the way so they wouldn't get hit with the blasts. "just go hide or something. you're making this a lot harder than it needs to be."

stevie turned around when she heard peter grunt, watching as he shot a web towards a car before he attached the web to the web that was attached to vulture. vulture moved a little, causing the car to move towards him. peter did a flip over the car and landed on the roof, the car stopping once it got to a pillar. while all of this was happening, vulture was trying to shoot peter and stevie with his weird gun. the two teens are quick to dodge them, hopping all around as they shot webs at him. stevie shot out a web and tried to pull him down, but that only ended in him moving back and pulling off the ferry.

"oh, shit! oh, shit! oh, shit! oh, shit!" she yelled as she flew through the air, quickly letting go of the web. she then turned around, quickly shooting more webs at the flying man before she swung back onto the ferry.

she rolled onto the second level, her back hitting the railing as she let out a grunt. she shook her head to get her senses in check. she looked back up at the vulture, watching as the webs that her and peter shot at him slid between the blades of his wings, the man snipping all of them with ease.

"that was some edward scissorhands shit." stevie mumbled, standing up from her spot.

peter shot a web at the purple tinted weapon in vulture's hands, attempting to pull it out of his grip. but the vulture didn't let go, only pulling back. this sent peter flying off the second level next to stevie, a grunt leaving his mouth when he met a pillar. "

"activate taser web!" he ordered, making stevie look at him with furrowed eyebrows.

before she could ask what any of that mean, she saw electrical currents making it's way through the web and towards the vulture. this immediately made the man let go of the weapon, it flying right towards peter since he was pulling at it. the parker boy let go of the web and jumped out of the way, letting the weapon hit the floor behind him. stevie jumped down, watching as the weapon bounced around and let out little blasts as peter tried to web it down to the floor. stevie joined in, the both of them frantically shooting web balls at the device before it had settled down.

"you're messing with things you don't understand." vulture told the two of them, making them look up at him.

before either of them could ask what he had meant by that, they hear the weapon behind them power up. they turn to look down at it, quickly jumping out of the way when a thicker and stronger lasers shot through the webbing and down the middle of the boat. stevie watched with wide eyes as the lasers burnt a line through out the whole ferry. and then it just stops, a moment of peace falling over them. but then the boat let out a groan, water spewing up between the cars.

"oh, fuck." stevie mumbled.
