"I SAY WE SHOULD take a look around, see what's changed." Luke suggested as the 4 ghost lounged in the garage, "It's been 25 years."
"I'm in." Roxy said lifting her finger up but still keeping her eyes closed as she laid on Reggie's lap, the boy played with her hair and tried making a braid a few times but fail miserably.
"Me too." Reggie immediately spoke up after her as all eyes went on Alex who stayed silent in the corner, he was most liking over thinking.
"What." Alex muttered looking at his friends, after a long moment of silence he sighed and stood up, "Fine I'll come along."
"Great!" Luke, without warning, teleported and the others followed. The 4 arrived at the rooftop of the orpheum, they looked around at the crowed streets and memory flowed back, it was still the same, sure a few things changed but it was nearly identical.
Reggie muttered something under his breath as Roxy turned to him, "My shirt." He mumbled lowly as the girl beside him chuckled lightly.
"I like you better this way." Her brain made sure to store the beautiful moment.
"Hey, I know being dead is our first choice, but, I mean it sure is easy getting around." Luke laughed as Reggie sighed.
"Easy for you maybe, I lost my shirt on that one." He complained as a sudden white flashed appeared over his chest, "Ooh, never mind, there it is."
"Damn it." Roxy pouted placing her head on his shoulder, "I was starting to enjoy the show."
"Don't worry Rox, I'm sure you'll get use to him shirtless one day." Luke smirked nudging her with his elbow as she shoved him away.
"You're disgusting."
Alex looked up at the sign buzzing above him and slouched his shoulder, "Why'd you bring us here just another painful reminder of where we never got to play." Alex scoffed, "Thanks Luke."
"I mean boys, and girl, the game is an over yet." Luke began and teleported all 4 to the sidewalk below them, "I'm telling you, we've been given a second chance." The boy explained, "Let's find some music, let's see how many clubs we can hit before sunrise." Suddenly Alex grunted and stopped following them, Luke turned around to see what the problem was but saw nothing other then Alex staring. "Hey Alex you coming, let's go!"
The 4 walked together, Reggie and Roxy held hands while they observed the familiar streets. Roxy stared at scarlet red stars below her that had the names of many celebrities she knew and some she didn't, but it was all a reminder of the greatness the world had left. From late at night to sunrise the 4 did any thing and everything they possibly could as ghost, they didn't return until the sun was peering over the horizon but when they did they where met with a surprise.
"Wake up your dream and make it true. Look out, look inside of you when you feel lost relight that spark time to come out the dark wake up!"
The 4 stood there completely speechless, they were totally oblivious to her talent on not only the piano but her voice too. She stopped and played the last key as she stared at the paper, with a grin she grabbed it and held it close to her chest, Alex was the first to move but Luke quickly grabbed him and shook his head, the 4 teleported out as they all shared the same shocked faces.
"Dude why'd you stop me, Julie needs a hug." Alex asked as Luke stared longingly at the garage door but turned his attention toward Alex.
"Bro, a ghost hug isn't the feel-good moment that you think it is, trust me, what Julie needs right now is just some privacy."
"You know what? I think you poofed us out because you can't handle when people cry, I should know." Alex snapped "I cried in a room for 25 years and didn't get a single hug from none of you."
"All right, bring it in." Reggie mumbled putting his hands out to hug him but Alex quickly stopped him by putting a finger up.
"Don't touch me!"
"This is why no one hugs you." Reggie lowly whispered as Roxy chuckled lightly and stepped up next to Alex.
"Can I hug you."
"I'll accept one from Roxy." Alex loudly announced, "Since she's a good friend." Roxy giggled and wrapped her arms around his waist, "Thanks."
"No problem Lexie." Roxy patted his shoulder and pulled away with a smile as Alex blushed at the nickname, he absolutely loved it, but he'll never admit it.
"Okay..." Luke mumbled "I think the first thing we should do once we get the courage to go in there, is ask Julie why she lied about playing the piano."
"Yeah, you know, maybe tell her how amazing she was."
"Yeah, of course bro."
"Okay."
"She's legit, I got ghostbumps." Reggie spoke up revealing his arm as Roxy gasped.
"Holy shit, you got the ghostie heebie jeebies." Roxy mumbled looking at his arm.
"Right!"
"I think you 2 share 1 brain cell." Alex mumbled as Roxy slapped his arm.
"Don't be rude Lexie, I gave you a hug." She scowled when a girl came by crying, the 3 boys stared at her with confusion as she walked into the garage.
"Oh my gosh, was she crying too?"
"Yes!" Luke turned to them with slight fear in his eyes, "And the only thing scarier than 1 girl crying is 2 girls crying."
"Make that 3." Roxy mumbled as she began to build up tears in her eyes, she let out a small sob as the 3 boys panicked.
"No, no, no, no, no, stop crying, stop crying, stoping crying." Luke begged running to her side in a hurry, "Reggie tell her to stop crying!"
"I can't." Reggie turned around not daring to face her, "If she cries I cry, I don't have time to cry right now."
"Alex, do something!"
"I don't know what to do!" Alex muttered as Roxy let out another sob, she held her face in her hands as tears ran down her cheeks. "Roxanne Gomez can you please stop crying!" He shouted.
"I can't." She sobbed as her body shook uncontrollably. "I'm just so sad."
"Why do girls cry like this?" Alex asked
"Hormones?" Luke shrugged as his eyes suddenly widened, "Holy shit is that time of the month, can that even happens ghost."
"Oh my god I think I'm about to have a panic attack." Reggie mumbled as the sobbing suddenly turned into hysterical laughing.
"Oh my god you should've seen your faces." Roxy laughed wiping the fake tears from her face, "I guess those acting classes really did pay off because holy shit." She cackled as Luke let out sigh of relief, Reggie finally around with a mad expression.
"That's not funny, I almost started crying."
"I think I just nearly died again." Luke mumbled.
"Hormones..seriously Luke?"
"What, that's how you always act when your on your period." Luke said "I can't handle 1 girl crying so I'm definitely not going in there where 2 girls who are probably crying together sharing all their girl problem."
"Well, we can at least listen." Roxy suggested walking towards the garage door but frowned once she realized that she was too short, "Well shit."
"Sorry Rox, looks like your'll have to miss out on this." Luke laughed, "Karma."
"Screw you and your karma."
"I'll fill you in Anne." Reggie smiled and peeked through the window, "So their in the garage."
"No shit Reg."
"And there talking, the other one looks more panicked then Julie, she's kinda like good vibes." Reggie explained, "Calm and collected."
"Can you shut up." Alex snapped, "I'm trying to listen." The 2 girls bickered as the conversation started to get closer, all of a sudden Roxy was yanked to the floor by Reggie, Alex turned to look at a lamp, while Luke leaned against the door trying to act as cool as possible.
"She's coming." Reggie muttered as Roxy eye's widened when Julie walked out the garage with her friend.
"Wow, Reggie, your hair is so pretty." Roxy said playing with his hair.
"Thank you." Reggie smiled as Julie closed the door and looked at the 4 ghosts.
"Oh hey." She greeted with a grin as Roxy waved but Julie soon realized she was talking to no one when her firmed turned to look at her. "Let's hustle!"
"Don't worry we weren't listening." Reggie horribly lied as Roxy pulled his hair, "Ow." He muttered as Julie waved goodbye but tried to brush it off as slapping a bug away. As soon as the 2 girls left the 4 ghost poofed back into the garage. "I wonder why Julie didn't tell us she could shred on the piano."
"And sing, that girl can sing." Luke added
"It probably has something to do with her mom, you know?" Alex suggested, "Must've been hard."
"What do think Rox?" Luke asked turning towards the girl, "Since you know, mommy issues."
"You seriously going to bring my dead mother into this?"
"I was just asking." Luke shrugged, "I mean I did write I whole song about it."
"I will never forgive you for writing about my mommy issues."
"You have to admit it was kinda funny."
"You come to my house, and then hand the disc to me as a birthday present, you really think I wanted to be reminded about that on my birthday."
"Okay, okay, you don't Luke talking about your mommy issues, I'll stop." Luke muttered throwing his hands up in defeat, "But it was one of my good songs."
"Hey, some of the clothes we left behind are still up here." Alex called out from the loft above as Roxy furrowed her brows.
"How the hell did you get up there so fast?" She questioned.
"While you and Luke where arguing about your mommy issues-"
"Please stop saying mommy issues." The girl interrupted as Alex laughed while throwing her a backpack, "Ooh, clothes."
"Sweet, same clothes since 95 boys." Luke sighed taking off his shirt, clearly he was comfortable changing in front of his band mates.
"Hey Luke." Roxy called out as the boy looked up meaning she had gained his attention, "Is there a bathroom here?" She asked picking out clothes from her bag.
"Yeah, it's that small room over there." Luke pointed towards a door that head at the back of the garage, "Why do you need it, do ghost still have to pee?"
"No, I just have to get changed."
"Why don't you just get changed here?" Reggie's asked digging through his backpack for clothes. "I mean we're ghost now and we've been friends for a while."
"Absolutely not." Roxy replied pulling out an outfit as the door behind Reggie opened to reveal an older man, the same one they saw yesterday.
"I mean it could've been a nice show." Reggie whispered to himself as the man suddenly walked through him, Reggie stood there in shock for moment, "That was weird, but somehow I can tel this man has a kind heart." The boy explained as Roxy laughed.
"How are you doing." The man said as Reggie looked around in confusion, but he saw nobody.
"Honestly, not that good." Reggie began, "See we are these hotdogs and-"
"Julie sang for the first time this morning." The man interrupted, "She hasn't done that in almost a year, you would've loved it."
"Yeah, we saw cause because we were..." Reggie paused as the realization hit him, "Oh I get it." He mumbled waving a hand over the mans face, "He..he's not talking to us."
"You are so lucky you can play bass."
"And that your cute, otherwise you would've been gone." Roxy added making a slicing motion to her throat.
"I'm pretty sure he's talking to Julie's mom." Alex spoke up.
"No shit."
"She's such an amazing young woman." The man continued, "Everyday she reminds me more and more of you."
"Called it!"
"Oh I'm taking pictures for the real estate website." The man said picking up his camera, "I don't really wanna move but I guess it's best for Julie." The 4 ghost looked at the man with sad expression and the mention of leaving.
"Move?" Luke mumbled as a frown formed onto his face.
"There's so many memories, of Julie playing next to you and Carlos trying to sing with his missing 2 front teeth." He laughed as his voice began to crack as Luke let out a shaky breath, Reggie looked at the boy with glossy eyes.
"Oh no Luke, not you too." Reggie as Roxy awkwardly stood next to him with furrowed brows.
"Are you crying?" She asked as Luke covered his mouth trying hold back a sob.
"H-He's talking about moving, but the poor guy, he doesn't wanna move." Luke sniffed.
"It's just that they grew up, out here."
"Oh man, how's he's got me too." Reggie exclaimed as began fanning his face.
"Breath, Reggie, breath." Roxy whispered wrapping an arm around his shoulder, "In through the nose and out through the mouth." She instructed as the boy followed her orders.
"Okay how am I the emotional one?"
"Well I mean this is pretty sad." Roxy shrugged as she comforted Reggie, "But you and me are not crying, it's called we've seen things more sad then this."
"Good point."
"C-C-Can we go see my family, and see how they're doing?" Reggie stuttered out as Roxy slowly pulled awya with a smile, "No keep hugging me." Mumbled pulling her back to his chest.
"Alright then, more hugs." She laughed
"I think we should, listening to this feels wrong." Alex mumbled as they all nodded in agreement.
"Hey remember when the kids were at your sister's house?" He asked looking down at the piano with a firm, "And we came down here on our anniversary." He mumbled with a mischievous grin.
"Oh fuck no." Roxy sight slightly gaging as she turned away, "Julie was playing on that poor piano." She muttered and teleported out as the rest followed after her.
