Chapter 23
Calor et Frigus
Warmth then Cold
Jungkook turned around in his chair to see who had called him and saw that it was Namjoon. He was looking slightly disheveled, trying to catch his breath and looking terrified as he held the "gift" Jungkook had made for him.
Jungkook's body reacted on its own and he jumped out of his chair away from Namjoon. It hadn't been his intention in the slightest, but the damage was done. Namjoon saw that and he looked around, much more frightened than before, then he took hurried steps towards Jungkook, palms up, trying to show him that he bore no harm. And Jungkook stayed still, eyebrows knotted as he saw this reaction. This was exactly why he wanted to talk to Namjoon. This fear was wrong.
- Namjoon, calm down. - He whispered to Namjoon as he took one step toward him and they were close enough to each other.
Namjoon still looked too scared.
- Jungkook... - His voice was filled with fright. - Jungkook what-- what did you--... what did you hear in the--... - He couldn't even finish his sentence, but Jungkook could tell what he wanted to say so he shushed him, looking around them just to make sure and then looking at him again to talk in a whisper.
- I know what was happening behind the bookshelf. -
Namjoon shook his head.
- How-- How could you...? How could you know what...? - His voice was shaking, voice low, stance tense from head to foot.
- I heard... enough to know that it was a ma--
- Shhhhh. - Namjoon got one tiny bit closer, shushing him frantically and looking around. They were completely alone, with no cameras in sight, no one on this floor, and the floor was too far from the first one for anyone downstairs to be able to look at them. But Jungkook understood the fear, and right then he felt the anger Tom talked about. Anger at the world. - Could we... Could we talk there, please? - Namjoon pointed shakily somewhere behind him and Jungkook understood that he meant the hidden trap doors of the library, but Jungkook shook his head.
- I can't, I'm... waiting for someone. -
Namjoon's eyes widened.
- Who? Who are you waiting for? Who did you call?? Jungkook... Jungkook, please, I... I'll do anything, just... - Tears started to fall from his terrified eyes, his body was shaking uncontrollably, his hand let the envelope fall to the floor as he seemed to be in utter shock of fear, frantically looking around and folding his arms over his chest, trying to protect himself.
The sight broke something in Jungkook. He couldn't believe what the fear could do to someone like them. Namjoon was beside himself with fear that Jungkook might have called someone to get him.
- Namjoon. - He called him in a firm tone and took a strong stride towards him to grab his shoulders. - I haven't called anyone against you. I am not against you. I'm just like you. - Namjoon's tears stopped as shock replaced anything else. He was still shaking, unable to exhale. - That's why I wanted to talk to you, I'm in the same position as you. -
Namjoon breathed out then, grabbing Jungkook's elbows as he looked around taking deep breaths.
- You're just like me? - He asked, still unsure and frightened.
- Yes. - Jungkook said firmly.
Namjoon nodded then, his hold tightening.
- Then who are you waiting for? - His question was still filled with uncertainty, unknowing tears falling from his shocked eyes.
- ...a friend. - The time it took for him to answer made Namjoon's breathing get fast and frightened again, looking around them. Then Jungkook felt a tug from Namjoon's hold.
- Tell me the truth. Please. - His stare had changed somewhat, it was frantic, but there was something else that connected with the tight hold he had on Jungkook. And Jungkook noticed then, clear in his teary horrified eyes, that he wouldn't let Jungkook go now that he had him in his hold.
That frantic stare made Jungkook feel suddenly frightened. But he had to remember that this wasn't Namjoon, this was just the fear acting to protect Namjoon. So he took a deep breath and got a tiny bit closer to him to whisper as low as he could.
- He is to me as the man you were with yesterday is to you. -
Namjoon gasped and his hands let go immediately. Jungkook leaned back and let go of his shoulders as Namjoon was looking unseeingly at the floor, and he let him think as he went to grab the envelope from the floor. He sat back down where he was before, facing the stairs, and looked as Namjoon took a very deep breath and then cleaned his face of any tears, passing his hands through his hair and clothes as he took a look around and then turning to see him, sitting down at the chair beside him, turned to face him.
- I'm... sorry for that, I... - Namjoon looked down at his hands, ashamed.
- Please, don't apologize. I understand. -
Namjoon looked up at his clear honesty and took another deep breath, seeming eased at that by a fraction.
- So... you heard, didn't you? - He shrugged, somehow looking tired, but Jungkook understood that the nerves might have drained him somewhat.
- Yes, only... the umm... well, I heard you laugh so I got nearer. I was actually headed for that aisle in the first place but the laughing made me stop. - Namjoon bit his lip, looking down at his hands again sheepishly. - And I recognized that laugh. Not because of the sound of your voice, but because I've heard it in myself. - His voice got smaller as he confessed this, but Namjoon's surprised stare when he looked back at him gave him the courage to continue. - And then I heard... - He trailed away, a little uncomfortable, and Namjoon realized what came next so he lowered his stare in embarrassment. - And the library was getting fuller at that time so I had to do something to make you stop, so I let the books fall to... wake you up. -
Namjoon was in between embarrassment and gratitude when he looked back up at him.
- Thank you. It did help. - He gave a sheepish little grin and Jungkook chuckled.
- No problem. I wanted to help, I just thought that... if it had been me... - He trailed away again and there was a moment where their eyes met that there was nothing but understanding in everything they had in their eyes, the sheepishness, the embarrassment, the fear. And then, the gratefulness that they suddenly had each other.
- So you wanted to talk to me. - His voice was calmer now, and Jungkook felt grateful for anything that might've calmed him down again. Namjoon feeling comfortable with him was all he wanted.
- Yes. I'm actually new to this side of myself. - His shoulders went up and then relaxed again. Namjoon put an elbow on the table and rested his head on it.
- Really? - He was surprised by that. - New in what way? In being with another... one, or... -
- New in... everything. - He chuckled as he looked at the table. - I never knew I could even see... a man like that, it just happened so suddenly. -
Namjoon gasped silently.
- No, really? Are you sure? Not a single crush when you were little? Or at school? - Jungkook shook his head.
- None, I never had a crush in all my life. I've never felt like this before. Everything's new to me. You have no idea how hard it was for me to accept this, it was all so sudden and so strong, like it had been there all my life but I never knew, like it was just natural for me to feel this way but, because I've never felt this way, it just scared me at first. - Jungkook only now realized how liberating it was to have somebody to talk to aside from Taehyung. Namjoon nodded.
- Yeah, you're right. It is like that, isn't it? Being scared that there's something wrong up here. - He gently tapped his temple and Jungkook nodded, understanding completely. - I never really had that phase. I say "not really" because I've always felt this way, not only now like you. I did have my kindergarten fuck up of wanting to hold another boy's hand instead of a girl, and then the constant rejection of myself throughout my school days until one day I suddenly didn't care anymore. Not when I was with him anyway. - His voice got tinier in the end, but no smile decorated the pretty story. Jungkook nodded along, listening to him.
- Was that one the same as right now? - Jungkook asked.
- No. - Namjoon answered with apathy, and Jungkook understood that this was a delicate subject. - Right now... - Now a tiny sweet smile appeared on his face. - It's complicated but the only thing that matters is that it's real. -
- Yeah. - Jungkook smiled too and they chuckled. - How long have you known each other? -
- Well, - He chuckled. - I knew him first. - Jungkook looked at him confused. - I kind of stalked him at first. - He smiled sheepishly and Jungkook chuckled. - Yeah. He got here two years ago. The only thing I could do was watch him, of course, I couldn't just jump right in like any guy would do with a girl. - He shrugged a little. - He's also very cold and strict on the outside, he doesn't talk if he can avoid it so there was some time before I could even talk with him casually, but it was all worth it of course. - He smiled. - We've been together for a year. - He said low but proud.
- Wait... - Jungkook stopped him with a gasp, the word "strict" made him remember how Kacy had told him Namjoon had been helping a teacher out at the Fantasy section. - He's a Professor? -
Namjoon's eyes widened as his head straightened up.
- How did you know? -
- Kacy told me you had been helping a teacher out yesterday so I just thought... - A smile started to grow on his face at the fact that it was indeed a Professor and Namjoon just gave himself away.
Namjoon's eyes widened and then he sighed.
- Oh, how grateful I am that it was you. Truly. - He closed his eyes and put his hands together in thanks, Jungkook chuckled.
- Thank you. And just so you feel better. Mine's a Professor too. - He whispered and Namjoon clasped a hand to his mouth.
- No way. - Jungkook nodded, trying and failing to suppress a smile. - Wow... What are the odds? - Jugnkook nodded in agreement. - How long have you two known each other? - Namjoon asked.
- About... four, five days? This is the fifth day. - He told him confidently, and Namjoon frowned.
- Five days? - Jungkook nodded. - But... you got here five days ago. - Jungkook nodded again. - So... you two... since the first day... -
- Yep. - It did sound like such a small amount of time for everything that has happened.
- And you also got into a fight. - He pointed to his lip.
- Mhm. -
- And this is the very first time you've ever felt this way or done anything like this or even looked at another man like this let alone talk to another man like you do to him. -
- ...Yes, that about sums it up. -
Jungkook was starting to see how other people might look at this. It was just impossible that everything that had happened between him and Taehyung had indeed happened, it was such a small amount of time for so much, all the talking and the laughing, the tears and the slow development from touching his hand tentatively to... last night. It just seemed impossible that all that has happened to the both of them could happen in just five days or even less than that. Impossible that he was completely sure that he was in love with him. And yet, it was utterly and undeniably true. They weren't rushing into anything, everything just happened naturally. It was true, honest, and real. Even if the timing was impossible.
- Are you sure about him? - Namjoon looked suddenly worried.
- Yes, I am. Don't worry, I know what you might be thinking, but he's not like that at all. - Namjoon was worried that Taehyung might be taking advantage of his inexperience but he had no reason to be.
Jungkook remembered then, about the meadow and how Tom reacted to it and thought that, if there was something "haunted" about it then Namjoon would know.
- We met Sunday night. - He started. - I went out for a walk and I followed the white path at first but then I heard the clear sound of a creek and I followed it. - Namjoon frowned and tilted his head. - I wasn't scared even if I couldn't see anything, I was just following the sound, and then I came across a meadow--
- With a round white pavilion in the middle...- Namjoon's eyes widened and he looked around in bewilderment, leaning back on his chair looking like he was even more surprised than he was letting on. He looked back at Jungkook. - And he was there? -
- Yes. - Jungkook nodded, this was the second time he heard and saw the same reaction regarding that place. - And he said that he had followed the sound of the creek too. - Namjoon suddenly stood from his chair and paced around, looking like he couldn't exhale from the surprise but trying not to scream, he looked like he was trying to suppress... excitement? He looked excited, yes, it was excitement. Jungkook frowned at him.
- When you asked which was the loneliest part of the library... -
- It was so we could hide. Yes. - Jungkook answered low and with a tiny grin. Namjoon nodded, arms around his middle and trying to suppress a huge smile as he stood beside Jungkook.
- And I said the encyclopedias. - Jungkook nodded. - Have you been able to get in and out easily? -
- Really easily. But we found that place before I asked you anything. We found it by accident while we were just playing around. - At that, Namjoon put one hand over his mouth to stop himself from screaming or something, he looked too excited not to know something about all of this. - What is it? - Jungkook couldn't help it anymore, he wanted answers, he had been curious since Tom's reaction and now Namjoon was reacting this way. - Please, Namjoon, tell me. - His feet tapped against the floor.
But just when Namjoon opened his mouth, Jungkook jumped out of his seat. Taehyung had appeared at the top of the stairs looking a little out of breath like he had run here. Their eyes met for a second but then Taehyung looked at his companion in between them, not a single emotion on his face as he examined the situation. But it appeared that Namjoon had guessed what was happening right away and he turned to Jungkook.
- Is it him? - He asked in the lowest whisper he could manage, but his excitement was palpable. Jungkook nodded as he looked at Taehyung. - We'll talk later then. - He whispered to him and Jungkook looked at him, now he was the one unable to exhale, so he just nodded as he swallowed. Namjoon gave him one last smile. - Oh, and thank you for the drawing, it's really beautiful. - This time his voice was a normal volume and Jungkook swallowed again, all the nerves and excitement of before seemed to have solidified in his throat.
- Y-yeah. - That was all he managed to say, but Namjoon seemed to understand, and Jungkook followed him with his stare as he went around him to take the envelope and then rush to one of the trap doors somewhere.
Once he couldn't see him anymore, Jungkook went straight to the table, giving his back to the stairs, and picked up his pen and sketchbook to put them back inside his bag. The words on the paper flashed before him and then the memory of Namjoon's conversation as well as how it linked with the theories that he had about the exception to the rule. But then the second he closed his bag, all of that went muffled as all he could think about was Taehyung. He put his bag over his shoulder and without breathing, turned around.
He wasn't there.
With a tiny nod of encouragement to himself, he started to walk toward the shelves.
His heartbeat was rising with every step, nerves were mixing with excitement until his stomach was full of hurtful butterflies, and something akin to stage fright was stopping his already heavy breathing. Where was all this coming from? He felt a sense of something like fear, but it wasn't fear, it was excitement but it wasn't the kind you would want to rush things for and it was nerves but it wasn't all that unpleasant, and yet, he had no idea why he felt all of this. Maybe it could be... because Taehyung has been the only person who has seen him naked and this was the first time they met since that happened? Judging by how that made him stop mid-step, it could be.
There was just the last shelf in front of him, and this time he was sure Taehyung was by the other side. He heard the movement of fabric, of clothes, on the other side. Knowing he'll want to do nothing more than to jump over him the second he sees him, Jungkook took off his bag and left it there on the other side of the shelf, then he took a very, very, deep breath, and he rounded the shelf.
Taehyung was just finishing organizing the neck of his dark blue button-up shirt when he looked up at Jungkook. Immediately a huge boxy smile blossomed on his face making the butterflies in Jungkook's stomach explode. With a huge smile on his face, he ran to him at the end of the aisle and Taehyung was more than ready to catch him.
Jungkook jumped and hugged him by the neck, Taehyung grabbed him by the waist and they hugged tightly, laughing joyfully with each other and feeling the heart of the other pounding in their own chest. The only part of Jungkook touching the ground were the tips of his shoes as Taehyung held most of his weight if not all of it and he felt as sturdy as a tree.
- My beautiful Angel. - Taehyung's deep voice was melodious to his ears. It reminded Jungkook of the night before and how his voice was so beautifully consumed by all the good sensations of their touch, and he felt a soft shudder flow down his spine as warmth spread through his entire body.
- My beautiful Greek God. - Jungkook was joyful as all the nerves left him in Taehyung's grasp and he felt his low chuckle. He felt like something was different today. Stronger. Like their bond was stronger than before. Taehyung's scent, the sound of his voice, the feeling of his body tight against his, it all made him feel whole again, with no worries, no nerves, and most of all safe, because he's here.
- My beautiful Poet. - Taehyung turned his head and kissed him softly on the cheek, and Jungkook, with a mischievous smile on his lips, leaned back just enough to look into his shiny dark eyes.
- Mine. - He said low and confidently, and Taehyung smirked as he looked deep into his eyes.
- Yours. -
That took Jungkook's breath away. He looked down at his soft lips, he knew they were soft and warm, he knew how deep a kiss could get and just how it felt in the pit of his stomach when it did. He looked back up only to find the same breathless stare mirrored in Taehyung's eyes. At the same time, they leaned forward.
That first moment their lips touched, felt like the first time they had kissed all over again. The rush, the adrenaline, the elation to know that it was Taehyung, and then, when Taehyung moved, the slow frenzy. The movement made everything different, the soft sounds of kisses right on his ears, the feeling of his warm breath on his skin, and the fact that it was Taehyung. The last one made everything as meaningful as it was, every touch of his was special because it was his, because Jungkook knew just how he felt about him, because he knew just how important he was to him and also how much he wanted him, how much he adored everything about him; how much he loved him.
Jungkook unfolded his arms from around Taehyung's neck and placed his palms on each side of his neck, holding his yaw with his thumbs and then leaning away, stopping him gently when he wanted to lean in again and smiling when that happened. He looked up at his eyes, feeling how his arms around his waist were still the only thing keeping him fully from the floor.
- Good morning. - He said softly with a sweet smile, the only person that has ever seen this side of him was Taehyung just like he was the only one in this world that has seen him naked in more ways than one and loved him.
Taehyung smiled blissfully back.
- Good morning. - He sighed. - You know how good that would sound with you beside me on the bed? - Jungkook averted his eyes, knowing he was blushing. - The window opened, letting in the music of birds and the clean air of the woods, the sun coming in through the green leaves of tall trees, and you... there...beside me the second I opened my eyes. - Jungkook's smile got unbearably sweet as he heard Taehyung's wistful words and he looked up into his eyes filled with stars of hope.
- And I would've been awake before you did but I choose not to wake you because you looked too good to be disturbed. - He continued the beautiful fairy tale of a future that was so perfect, too perfect, and the one he had always wanted. It made Taehyung smile happily, and Jungkook leaned slowly forward again, but he was met with Taehyung's eager lips halfway, making him giggle into the kiss.
Then, gently, Taehyung started to let go of his hold on his waist so Jungkook's feet could be on the floor, and then his hands held his waist over his gray turtleneck sweater. It did feel better without a shirt underneath, he was right in choosing it. The sudden memory of his clothes made him remember this mourning and what happened there, and he leaned away from the kiss, turning his head a little so that when Taehyung leaned in, he kissed his cheek. Which made both giggle softly.
- How was your morning? - Jungkook asked, with all the intention of starting the topic.
Taehyung leaned away and swayed them a little, gently, from side to side, like they were slow dancing.
- Eventful. - He answered, with an expression that suggested that a lot of things happened that morning, including why he got there after his usual time.
- Do start. - Jungkook said with taunting politeness but still eager to hear everything he had to say. Taehyung chucked.
- Want to sit down first? - He asked low, his eyes were like melted dark chocolate, so sweet and comforting. Jungkook nodded.
The second Taehyung let go to sit down on his usual spot, the previous savage butterflies came back to him and it made him want to cover himself. It was such an uncomfortable feeling and yet it made him giggle. So strange. He knelt on the floor at the same time Taehyung finished sitting, and Jungkook chose to sit by his side. He thought this would be better, judging by how strongly his body reacted to just the memory of Taehyung's body, if he sat down on his lap, he wasn't sure what would happen. But thankfully, Taehyung seemed to be fine with that, putting his arm around him and bringing him closer to his side as he crossed his ankles comfortably in front of him.
The intensity of the stare and the closeness of their faces were making Jungkook shy. No, it was the light and the knowledge that they couldn't get intimate in here that was making him shy, also the knowledge that he very well wanted Taehyung since the moment he opened his eyes and he had been on his mind all day long, combined with their closeness and Taehyung's stare. It was all making him feel so hot and bothered and he ended up averting his eyes to the bookshelf in front to take a deep breath. All these new feelings were messing him up.
- I want to hear your morning first. - Taehyung's calm voice so close to his ear was not helping his attempts at calming down, but he didn't want him to stop or to get away. He looked back at Taehyung and leaned his head back over his bicep to feel more comfortable. But before he could even try to start, Taehyung talked again. - Did you wake up sore? - He asked low, the intimacy felt good. But Taehyung's words made him cover his eyes with one hand as he chuckled. Emily's words this morning about how he should ask "her" if "she" was sore came back to him. - What? - Taehyung asked with a soft laugh.
- No, nothing, just... remembering something funny. - He pushed his hand away from his face and placed it over his own lap with the other one, taking one last stabilizing breath before looking back at him to answer. - Sore? Hmm... - He thought for a moment. - Not in muscles. No. - His tiny smirk gave something away and Taehyung got curious, his grin getting bigger. This conversation was not helping him calm his desires down.
- Were you sore in any other way? - He still had a grin but the question was sincere. - I need to know if I was too rough with you. - That made Jungkook's smile reach its limit along with his blushing and the fluttering in his stomach, making him place his forehead on Taehyung's shoulder to hide his face. - Kooky... - He was waiting for an answer, an audible smile on his face. Jungkook moved his body even closer to him and he looked up at him again.
- I might have woken up with a bruise or two, but it's fading now, don't worry. - He answered in a near whisper and a small grin, but Taehyung's eyebrows knotted.
- Where? Why? Do they hurt? - His questions were fast and worried even if said in nearly a whisper, and Jungkook leaned close to steal a tiny kiss that made him stop.
- Actually, if I'm being honest, I like it. - He averted his eyes, feeling shy. He heard the faint chuckle coming from Taehyung, and he continued even lower. - I didn't even notice you bit me until this morning. - He giggled, still not looking at him, but he heard the faint intake of breath and then Taehyung moved. Jungkook looked up and saw him looking at the shelf in front with a hand over his mouth in surprise, and Jungkook giggled.
- I did that? - He asked in a whisper, lowering his hand from his mouth, surprised beyond belief and with a smile on his face as he looked at Jungkook again. And Jungkook nodded, still giggling. - Can I see it? Where is it? - He seemed excited now as he looked Jungkook up and down.
- Here. - He pointed in the middle between his shoulder and the base of his neck, it was obvious he couldn't show him without taking off the turtle neck. And just the thought of it made Jungkook's breath hitch as the memory of Taehyung's hands on his naked skin made his temperature go up a little.
Taehyung looked at the place where he pointed and then looked down with a sheepish expression.
- Yeah, I remember it now. - With the way he closed his eyes to take a deep breath, Jungkook was sure he wasn't the only one having a hard time keeping calm. That made him grin as he thought of teasing him a little bit, that was something he loved to do.
- When was it? - Jungkook asked close to his ear, the faint ghost of last night's ear kisses made both of them breathless for a second, and then Taehyung turned his head to answer in his ear as well.
- I can't say it out loud. Just the memory is already too much. - He whispered.
It felt so good, oh so good, and the memory of how it felt when Taehyung lost control was so fresh in his mind that he could feel it right there on his skin, feel his hands right there holding his most sensitive part and making him feel so good.
Jungkook turned his head slowly and connected their lips. His hand went up to the back of Taehyung's head to softly deepen the kiss.
Taehyung brought a hand up to hold his neck. Jungkook turned his torso to the side wanting to be closer to him. But, just when the kiss had gone deeper, he stopped it, leaning back a little bit and opening his eyes again to look at Taehyung. He looked almost out of it, almost intoxicated on the feeling, and Jungkook was sure he looked nothing different, but they both knew they could do nothing in there or else they would pay the consequences.
- So, my morning, umm... - Jungkook sighed, trying to regain control, but his hand on the back of Taehyung's head moved, brushing the hair slowly, making Taehyung close his eyes in enjoyment, and the sight of it distracted Jungkook.
- Go on... - Taehyung muttered, the arm around Jungkook's shoulders lowering to go around his waist, holding him securely to his side.
- Well... - He remembered just how his morning began and chuckled a little sheepishly. - So, you were in my dreams last night, and... it was a little too hard to get out of bed. - They chuckled, Taehyung seemed to understand as he nodded, moving the hand on Jungkook's neck to go to the back of his head and scrape softly at his scalp. - Mhhh... - Jungkook closed his eyes, feeling weak.
- Me too. -
- Oh, don't say that. - Jungkook groaned a little as he opened his eyes, and Taehyung chuckled, his hand continuing his caresses making Jungkook bite his lip.
- No, don't bite your lip. - Taehyung sounded breathless as he pleaded, his eyes on Jungkook's lips.
- That's right. We have rules here, don't we? - He taunted him, and he chuckled, shaking his head. - I think one of those was no kisses anywhere... Oops. - Jungkook faked surprise, making Taehyung laugh even more. - Oh well, I guess I'll try to not break the rules next time. - He shrugged and, in a burst of confidence, kneeled beside Taehyung and sat on his lap. Knowing very well that he had just done something he said he wouldn't do, and not caring at the moment while he saw Taehyung laughing in front of him.
- You cheeky little bastard. - Taehyung grabbed him by the waist and leaned forward to kiss him hard on the lips. Jungkook got breathless at that very moment, it was the first kiss like this, and it felt so good, so harsh and hard, fast and reckless, Jungkook could even feel Taehyung's smirk. And then as suddenly as he kissed him, Taehyung leaned away. They were both left trying to catch their breaths.
- Was that to assert your dominance or something? - Jungkook asked in a breathless chuckle as his hand went to the neck of Taehyung's shirt.
- I have no domains over you. - He said this with sincerity and a grin. - But just to have fun, yes. Did it work? - His smirk widened.
- If I say no, would you do it again? - Jungkook asked, and then bit his lip, waiting for the answer, wanting for him to kiss him like that again, all possessive and strong, he liked that a lot.
Taehyung laughed.
- You... - He said with gritted teeth, and Jungkook changed his expression to one of fake innocent confusion. - Don't tease me, Kooky. I can make you just as crazy, remember? - One of his hands went slowly down his back, but not to his leg, down the end of his back and the start of--
- Yes yes, I remember. - He stopped Taehyung's hand just before he grabbed his ass, his own hand over his to stop it as his breathing stopped in his throat and he bit his lip. Taehyung chuckled low, almost purring, and Jungkook's competitive side made itself noticeable again. - Mh, I'm sure if I let you continue it would be as much of a tease for you as it is for me. - Taehyung's chuckle slowly subsided as his eyes darkened, and Jungkook smirked. - Maybe even more of a tease for you. - He purred. Taehyung's eyes closed for a second, and the stopped hand twitched in its place. When he opened them again, they were noticeably foggy with lust. And Jungkook was the only one blessed to see it.
- You really love playing with fire, don't you? - Taehyung's low voice and his smirk were enough to make Jungkook swallow dryly.
- Playing with you. - He bit his lip again.
Taehyung got closer to his mouth, the hand on his lower back pushing him tighter against him.
- Playing with my limits. - He almost growled, their lips were close enough to kiss but no one was getting closer, teasing themselves as much as each other.
- I recommend changing location, Mr. Wolf. - Jungkook smirked, and Taehyung grinned at that.
- Good recommendation Reed Riding Hood, but I don't think that's the best idea, not after what happened this morning. -
- What happened this morning? -
- Yes, let's talk about this morning so we can calm down. - Taehyung agreed, leaning back against the bookshelf again. But Jungkook still wanted to play, so he smiled mischievously. Taehyung gave him a warning look. - Jungkook... - But Jungkook still went ahead and grabbed the stopped hand on his lower back to take it up, under the turtleneck. Taehyung's eyes closed and his eyebrows knotted at the feeling of his skin. Jungkook got breathless too, the memory of his touch was nothing like the real thing. - Why oh why don't you have a shirt on? - Taehyung asked with greeted teeth. And Jungkook giggled.
- So I can see that reaction. - He said close to a whisper, and Taehyung opened his eyes. - I also picked jeans with thinner fabric on purpose. - Taehyung's head rolled a little at that, his dark eyes never leaving Jungkook's. - Should I tell you this? I don't know if it'll make you really mad or just possessive. - He thought out loud, and Taehyung narrowed his eyes when he heard that.
- Something that happened this morning? - He asked low, possessive mode: on.
Jungkook grinned.
- Yes. -
- In your room? -
- Yes. -
Taehyung's yaw tightened, and Jungkook's grin got wider.
- Was it something that you did or someone else? -
- Because of something I did, someone else did this. -
Taehyung smirked a little, but it was a wild smirk, the kind of smirk that made Jungkook feel like delicious prey.
- Was it your roommate? -
- No. -
Taehyung tilted his head, confused, and leaned a little closer.
- Your friends? -
- No. -
At that, Taehyung frowned, not angry at Jungkook, never angry at Jungkook, angry at whoever did what Jungkook thought would make Taehyung mad. Jungkook saw just the moment when all the pieces fit together in Taehyung's brain, right when the confused frown changed into a possessive one.
- What did he do? - He got it right. It was Tom.
- Ok. It all started when I forgot to take my clothes into the bathroom. - That was all Taehyung seemed to need to know. His hands tightened on Jungkook's waist, one under the turtleneck and one over it. Jungkook suppressed a grin by biting his lip. - And when I walked out to take my clothes, he was there. - Taehyung grunted low. - He was turned at first. But I guess he saw me at some point because he then commented on my hickeys. -
Taehyung pressed him even harder and grunted again. Jungkook closed his eyes, feeling himself getting aroused by how possessive Taehyung was with him, by how his grasp got even tighter the more he talked, he loved it, it felt so good to be wanted like this by Taehyung. Jungkook swallowed again, feeling Taehyung's lips close to his own, and gave the final blow.
- And the worst part was that... he had told me the night before that... he likes me. -
Taehyung lost it. He led them forward, pressing Jungkook against the floor, and kissed him as hard as before, if not even harder. This kiss was so feral, possessive, and harsh, and it was making Jungkook crazy. Taehyung had one hand beside Jungkook's head to hold himself, and the other one went to his throat, holding it gently but firmly, making Jungkook moan softly in the kiss. Jungkook had both hands on Taehyung's neck to bring him even closer to the kiss. The only thing that they cared about was the feeling of the other. Tom was nowhere in their minds anymore, just each other and the kiss, the deep, hard, fast kiss that had left them breathless but they were still kissing, feeling each other's panting, hearing the occasional uncontrollable little moan that acted like a stimulant.
Suddenly, Taehyung stopped the kiss and placed his forehead on Jungkook's neck, breathing there, trying to calm down. And Jungkook was a mess, he was hard, he knew this would happen, the kiss was so good, the grasp Taehyung had on his neck had been the cherry on top but the main desert, the main treat, had been that wild kiss. Slowly, a panting Taehyung leaned back from his neck to look at him in the eyes, his eyes looked a little clearer, less foggy with possessiveness, and his hand on Jungkook's neck went to the other side of his head, letting him go. A faint expression of understanding crossed Taehyung's face.
- You wanted me to react this way. - It wasn't an accusatory tone, he didn't even look mildly upset, but Jungkook bit his lip in uncertainty.
- Would you get mad if I did? - His legs on either side of Taehyung rubbed a little up and down his sides, and Taehyung chuckled.
- How could I be mad when I'm finding out you like when I'm possessive over you? - He was delighted, and also visibly turned on by the idea, which made Jungkook close his eyes slowly for a moment.
- Yes, I love it. - He sighed. They laughed silently. They weren't breathless anymore, but they were indeed turned on and they knew it. Jungkook looked Taehyung up and down the little space he had to see, as they were so close to each other, but it was enough what he saw. - I like this shirt. - He passed his hands from his shoulders and down, and down, and down.
- Stop. - Taehyung stopped him when he was getting dangerously close to his black leather belt, and Jungkook giggled, moving his hands to Taehyung's back and going up the length of it with his nails. - Mhh... Kooky, not here. - Jungkook huffed, frustrated, and let his hands fall to either side of him on the floor.
- So I'm going to have to wait until tonight? -
- Hey, you're not the only one suffering here. - Taehyung chuckled and Jungkook grinned. - Do you have any idea what it's like to have you on my mind all the time? - He neared his lips again, but didn't kiss him, and Jungkook swallowed dryly.
- I actually do know what it's like to have you on my mind. I had you in my dreams. Oh, how good it was. - He moaned softly right against his lips as he remembered his dream. Taehyung seemed to shudder, and he kissed him, slow, torturous, delicious. - Mhhh... - And then he leaned back again.
- Tell me how it was. I want to make it real tonight. - Taehyung's voice was raspy and low, arousing to the ear.
- Oh... - He giggled out of breath at his words. - I can't. - Taehyung looked a little confused and Jungkook answered with a smirk. - I'm shy. -
Taehyung smirked.
- I'm starting to think you sometimes use that as an escape mechanism. -
- Why in heaven would I want to escape from this situation? - They both chuckled. - And just so you know, I'm most definitely going to make my dream come true tonight, don't you worry about it. - He smirked and Taehyung greeted his teeth as he smirked as well. Jungkook's breath went away as a rush of arousal hit him. - Kiss me. - He demanded, and Taehyung moaned low before plunging in and kissing him hard again, but not fast. It was hard and deep, different from the wild one but so much the same in the way it made Jungkook go crazy. He moaned low, breathless and hard, and, as the kiss went on, he moaned higher, sounding desperate.
- Kooky. - Taehyung stopped the kiss, leaning away to look Jungkook in the eyes. They were both desperate. - Let's stop right here. Please. It's too much. - Taehyung pleaded. This grown, strong, tall man that looked at him like prey and held him possessively, the one who kissed him breathless and grabbed his ass with so much desire that he bruised his skin and bit his shoulder; This man was pleading with him to stop because he made him painfully hard.
- Fuck... - Jungkook's eyes closed as his head leaned back on the floor, his hips rolled involuntarily up against Taehyung's and made them both whimper. He opened his eyes again. - Yes, let's stop here. -
It was so painful having to stop this, but the reality was not easily ignored when it was so obvious. Taehyung nodded and rolled over beside Jungkook on the floor and tried to calm down. Jungkook looked down at his own pants to see if it was noticeable. And noticed that, if he kept his knees folded like that, it looked like there was nothing there.
He let his head fall back to the floor again, leaving his legs folded like that, knees to the ceiling, and he breathed deeply. The pressure in his groin was getting highly uncomfortable now. He turned his head to look at Taehyung and saw how he was looking at him already. They chuckled. And then Jungkook turned around on the floor, positioning himself to do some push-ups.
- What are you doing? - Taehyung asked, curious as he lay staring up at him.
- Forcing the blood to flow evenly a little faster. - And with one last grin at Taehyung, he started to do his push ups.
- Great idea. - Taehyung chuckled and turned around to do push ups with Jungkook.
- How many is your limit? - Jungkook asked with curiosity, eyes on the floor because he knew, he just knew, that if he looked at Taehyung making any kind of force he would lose what little calm he had regained.
- It depends. - Taehyung answered steadily. - On a normal Military Push Up I do fifty every day. -
- Fifty. - Jungkook exclaimed, surprised, and he had to stop mid-push up to chuckle for then to continue. - I can do thirty on a good day, and that's not that often. - They chuckled as they worked.
- That's still above average. Have you been to the gym here? - Taehyung asked and then Jungkook saw him stopping and leaning back to kneel, and Jungkook stopped in a plank position with his arms straight.
- No, I haven't. I haven't even seen the Map Book completely. I tried to find the gym in it on Sunday but got distracted. But I do want to go back to it. - He paused. - And take Leo with me. - He sighed, kneeling on the floor and leaning back on his heels as he remembered what happened that morning. - Yes, he needs to burn that energy. - He frowned at the books and then sighed. - He had been doing so well. -
- Hey. - Taehyung grabbed his attention by taking his shoulder and Jungkook turned to look. - What happened to Leo? -
Jungkook sighed, sliding back to where they were before, Taehyung copied him and they sat down. Then Jungkook, once Taehyung was comfortable, rested his head on his thigh, lying down on the floor with his arms folded over his stomach, and Taehyung started brushing his hair very softly, waiting for him to start.
- Leo sometimes has this... I don't want to call them attacks, hmm... - He grimaced looking at the ceiling. - They're just... like, explosions of anger, something like that. - He looked up at Taehyung and saw him frowning. - So, this morning, that happened. The three of them entered the room at the same time I was taking my clothes but Leo and Emily were the only ones who left, closing the door. -
- Hm. - Taehyung wasn't pleased, of course, he knew who stayed behind. Jungkook almost smiled up at him, but the memory of what happened next obscured it.
- Leo had never liked Tom since the first time they laid eyes on each other. Everything he says irritates him, and a fight almost broke off more than three times. But I never thought much of it, or at least I never thought it could end up in one of these explosions. The thing is, the last one had been almost a month ago, and I wasn't even there, so I had forgotten how bad this could get. - He frowned in displeasure. - The moment I stepped out of my room ready to go, Leo saw that Tom had stayed in the room and that... that was it, that finally triggered it. - He shook his head looking down.
- And what happened? What happens in one of those explosions? What happened to him? And to you? - Taehyung asked, concerned but trying to keep calm. - And to Emily. She was there, wasn't she? - Now he couldn't conceal it. Jungkook nodded, trying to reassure him by taking the hand that was not in his hair and taking it in both of his own over his stomach.
- No one got hurt. - Then, he grimaced. - No one but him. - He hated how that sounded. - When the explosions happen there's always some warning beforehand, he can't form complete sentences, he starts shaking, hands into fists... But sometimes he's able to control it even if it's coming, and he was trying very hard this morning. He was... he was about to fully calm down, and then he had to say that. - Jungkook shook his head frowning.
- Who? -
- Tom. He made a comment that meant he was looking at me while being in the room and that did it. -
- Of course, it did it. It would've done the same to me. - Taehyung said, visibly mad but trying to keep calm, and Jungkook started to caress the hand he had in his grasp. That made him sigh. - So you had to stop it. - Taehyung guessed in a low and concerned voice.
- Yes. - He grimaced. - I... I don't like saying that I hate to do it because if it means it helps Leo, then I would do it no matter what. But it does hurt to do it because I'm hurting him. - He shook his head, and the hand he was holding came up to his face and held his cheek.
- What did you have to do? - Taehyung asked, worried for him.
- I learned that if you put enough pressure on the chest. Here... - He brought a hand up to Taehyunc's chest and pointed to the same place over each of the pectorals, to then let his hands return over his own stomach. - Then it hurts enough to make him stop. It wouldn't work if he was in the right state of mind, if that was the case he could just punch me in the stomach and move me away. So the fact that he tried to take me away by holding my shoulders, proves he's not himself. But that's why it works when I hold him like that, because every time he tries to move me, he just hurts himself more, which weakens him, and that way he comes back to himself faster. But I hate it. I hate that I have to hurt him. - Jungkook frowned even more and turned his head the other way.
- Do his parents know about this? -
- I don't think so. - Jungkook frowned, thinking as he looked at the ceiling. - His parents are... umm, good...? I mean... - He shook his head. - It's not that--... what I'm trying to say is... - He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. - His parents are good people as far as I've met them. But they are... Not there, most of the time. He had to grow up faster. He's the only child of two criminal lawyers, he'd had to learn how to deal with strangers since he was three, how to avoid people, how to say "no, thank you", and even how to defend himself if need be. And all of that because his parents weren't there. They didn't even see him off at the airport before he came here. - He frowned to himself. It just seemed like he had said that before about other grown-ups.
- But what if it's something serious? What if he actually needs some help? - Taehyung caught his attention again, and he felt a little cornered.
- Umm... We... To be quite honest, that's exactly why we never wanted to tell any grown up. We were afraid that if it was something serious they would take him away or make him do something or treat him wrongly. We grew up hearing that "strange is bad" and "common is good", do you think any of us wanted to tell any of them that Leo was experiencing something strange? And he was a child when it started. Just what do you think they would've done to a child with sudden violent explosions that could hurt anybody near him? Take him to a "pretty farm on the outskirts of the city surrounded by fields of green grass and positivity"...No, we would never, and we will never tell it to anyone else. I'm telling you because I trust you. - He ended with a serious frown up at him.
- You can trust me. - Taehyung promised with a little bow of the head that calmed Jungkook's frown. - And if Leo needs anything, please do tell me. I will do anything to help. Your friend is my friend. -
Jungkook smiled and got up from his lying position to turn around and give him a little but meaningful kiss on the lips.
- Thank you, Tae. - He smiled at him, really grateful, and Taehyung smiled back.
- Always. - He said with sincerity, and Jungkook gave him another little kiss. It felt so good to have someone to kiss tenderly like this, to love physically in a sweet and innocent way, like a kiss to the cheek but way more meaningful as Taehyung was the only person he would kiss on the lips. Then he layed back down where he had been.
- So, yeah. Leo and I need to find the gym, cuz I do feel a slight, pent-up, unwasted energy. Though I do feel like I burned a lot of it yesterday night. - He said that he averted his eyes with a huge grin, and Taehyung laughed in disbelief.
- My beautiful cheeky little bastard. - Taehyung jokingly pulled his hair, and they both laughed as Jungkook turned his head back to see him.
- Now. What happened to you this morning? -
Taehyung took a deep breath before starting.
- At seven in the morning, we were called for a sudden meeting at the Professor's Room with the Headmaster. - Any trace of a smile on Jungkook was swiped away. Taehyung noticed that, and he sighed like he knew that was going to happen, but still did not like it when it did.
- What happened? What was it for? - Jungkook asked in a soft voice, trying to keep calm and not think further into anything.
- To tell us that he installed a new rule for the Professor's living area and that the book of Rights and Duties for staff members was being updated thanks to it. - Jungkook frowned up at him. - If we let a student inside that area, we can't leave them alone until that student leaves the area once more, as said student could take the liberty to wander around a Student Prohibited Area without permission and or supervision. -
A lump was starting to form in Jungkook's throat, but not because of the new rule. This new rule that would allow every other teacher to see which teacher was bringing which student to their apartment installed suddenly after last night, seemed to be connected with...
Jungkook's body tensed up.
- Who--... Was it another Professor who asked for this new rule? - His voice came out low and as tense as he was.
Taehyung picked up on that and frowned, worried for him at the sudden reaction, but answered nevertheless.
- Yes, this law teacher, Alexander Evans. -
Fear. Jungkook sat up abruptly.
