Star had been woken up by John b who had accidentally slammed the bathroom door. She groaned as she felt a hand on her face and slapped it away, only to find JJ laying right on top of her. She huffed and tried to push the boy off her, but he didn't budge and only replied in a groan.

John b walked past the pull out bed and laughed at the half asleep boy who was practically on top of Star.

Star and JJ were both major wrigglers when sleeping, so if there was ever a point two people had to share a bed Pope, Kie and John b always deiced that it would be the duo, knowing JJ definitely wouldn't mind.

Even though Star complained and tried to defend herself that she wasn't a wriggler, which was a big lie. They all just told the girl to shut the fuck up and deal with JJ. But the blonde boy on the other hand knew all about his wriggling problem so the pair would always wake up every morning like they did today.

"You been outside JJ?" John b asked the boy as he watched Star struggle to get the boy off her.

"I got polio bro, i can't walk." JJ mumbled back and put his face in the crook of Star's neck.

"SJ, there's no service by the way." John b stated and made is way outside, knowing the girl would be pissed.

"Ugh come on!" She huffed before trying to push the boy off her once more "JJ, please." She said getting frustrated "For fuck sake JJ, get off!" and just as she said that, she managed to shove the boy off her and on to the floor with a thud.

JJ groaned when he hit the floor still half asleep.

Star knelt down a patted the boys bare shoulder "Come on J." But only getting a groan in return.

"Holy shit." Star now standing on the porch and seeing the damage from the storm.

"Agatha did some work huh?" JJ said coming up behind Star with a can of beer in his hand, who rolled her eyes at the boy as it wasn't even ten and he's already on beer.

"Yeah she did." John b stated as he climbed onto the boat covered in trees.

"What you thinking?" JJ asked the boy as he made his way over to the boat.

"I'm thinking that storm surge pushed all the crabs out on to the marsh maze." He said picking up some of the branches and throwing them away. "All those dum are gonna chase the crab."

"What about the DCS, wasn't that today?" Star asked waling down the steps.

"Nah, no way they're getting on a ferry." John b replied "Think about it? It's god telling us to fish." He said holding up a small branch and pointing up at the sky causing Star to laugh at the boy and saw as a brother.

"Well let's go!" Star beamed running back inside to get changed.

The trio made their way across the water on their boat to go pick up the rest of the gang. John b was driving and Star sat at the front of the boat with her back lent against JJ's legs.

"Hi Miss Amy!" John b shouted at the women as the trio waved "You guys get though it?"

"Still here." She replied and going back to work.

"She totally looked at me." JJ piped up smirking and truing to John b as Star rolled her eyes.

"I saw." John b replied unfazed.

"You wish Maybank." She said laughing at the boy making him stop smirking and look down at her.

"What, you jelly?" He fought back.

"Oh yeah, supper jelly." She snorted as she turned to John B who rolled his eyes and laughed at the boys comment.

"Now look who we have here." John b spoke sounding as if he had the cold as the trio spotted Pope filling up a bucket with water while JJ whooped as they pulled up to the deck.

"We have a safety meeting, attendance is mandatory." John b said talking into his hand pretending it was a walkie talkie.

"I can't, my pop's got me on lock down." Pope moaned as his dad started walking over.

"Your dad's pussy over." JJ said also using his hand like walkie talkie and earning a slap on the leg from the girl sitting down. "Hey!" He said rubbing his leg where she had hit him.

"Oh i heard that you little bastard." Heyward said making his way over to Pope.

"Hey Pop's." Star smiled at the man and waved "We need your son."

"Hi Star." Heyward smiled back to the one of the very few friends of Pope he liked as he was very good friends with the girls father.

"Yeah, and island rules. The day after a hurricane is a free day." JJ shrugged.

"Who the hell made that up?" Asked Heyward, not believing a thing that came out the boys mouth.

"Uh, pentagon i think? we have security clearance. I have a card." JJ replied going to pull it out of his pocket.

Heyward looked at the blonde boy as if he was crazy "You think i'm stupid? I..."

"I'll do it tomorrow dad, i promise." Pope interrupted his dad.

"What? no, no. Hell no, you're gonna do it right now." Heyward argued.

"Get in the boat." John b shouted at Pope in a hushed tone.

"Come on Pope, make a run for it." and just as Star said that Pope ran and hopped onto the boat despite his father's shout, telling him to come back.

"When you get back you're gonna clean shrimp, you gonna clean fish!" Heyward listed "You gonna clean your dirty ass room!"

"Bye Pop's!"

"Love you Pops!"

"We'll bring him back in one piece, i promise." John b shouted.

"And i don't like your friends!. Only Star on occasions." He shouted to his son.

"Love you to Pop's!" She replied to the man she saw as a second dad while the boat drove away on their way to pick up the plant saving girl.

"Ooh, top o' the mornin' to ya." John b said in a very bad Irish accent as the boat pulled up to the deck that Kiara was walking down.

"Morning boys, and girl." She said winking at Star who smiled back.

"Whatcha got?" Pope asked noticing the cooler in the girls hand "Some juice boxes?"

"Oh! You bring some of those chips i like?" Star piped up.

"You know it." She said walking over to the boat.

"What about my kind of juice boxes?" JJ asked Kie as he took her hand and helped her onto the moving boat.

"Yeah." She simply replied.

"Let me, my lady show you a magic trick." JJ said bowing to Star and making his way over to stand at the front of the boat. "Pope can you go a little faster please." He asked as everyone protested.

"Oh, god not this."

"Nope, i'm moving out the way."

"JJ it never works."

"Please don't."

As Pope went faster JJ stood at the front of the boat holding the beer bottle away from his face and trying to get it in his mouth, which he failed at. Every time.

"Oh my god you're getting beer in my hair!" Kie complained as this drink splashed everyone.

"JJ, it's going everywhere." Star spoke.

And just as Pope and John b argued for the boy to stop, the boat jolted and came to a stop causing the blonde boy to go flying into the water and everyone else in the boat fall.

"Jesus Pope" Kie said sitting up.

"JJ?" She shouted while standing up noticing the boy no longer there, only for him to float back up on the surface. "You good?"

"I think my heels touched the back of my head" He groaned in pain.

"Kie, Star you ok?" John b asked girls as he groaned from the pain of the fall.

"I'm good." Star replied.

"I'm fine, you okay?" Kie asked the boy who nodded.

"Pope why the fuck did you do that?" Star groans as she rubbed her head.

"I didn't purposely do it did i!" Pope argued.

"I never said you purposely did it, did i?" Star fought back.

"well..."

"Hey!" Kie shouted stopping the pair bickering "Both of you, shut up okay." She looked at the pair as if she wanted them to answer.

"What?" Star threw her arms up in protest.

"Okay?" Kie said sternly.

"Okay!" The two friends replied in sync.

"Pope what happend?" Kie turned to the boy.

"She told us to shut up, then she wants us to speak?" Star mumbled to herself as she walked across the boat to go and help JJ.

"Sandbar. The channel changed." Pope replied and walked over to the front of the boat.

"No shit." JJ said coming to the side of the boat, Star already holding her hand out to pull him up.

"Come on J." She said not looking at the boy, but at Pope. And as soon as she faced JJ she saw the little smirk on his face and knew what was coming

Just before she could snatch her hand away JJ pulled her straight into the water without a second thought, causing the girl to scream and go in head first.

"JJ!" She shouted coming up to the surface and gasping for air as she wasn't ready to be submerged by water.

JJ just laughed at the girl's struggle and swam over to her "Come here princess." He said continuing to laugh and roll his eyes as he picked her up slightly so she could wrap her legs around his waist and put an arm around his neck as he held her to stop the girl from flapping about and drowning. And just before Star could slap the boy, Pope shouted.

"Hey, i think i see a boat down there." Pope said looking into the water.

"What?"

"Shut up."

"Fuck off!"

"No i'm serious." Pope stated frantically pointing at the water "There's a boat down there."

Everyone ran to the side of the boat and the duo who were still wrapped in each other's arms looked down at the water before the other three jumped in, and they all swam down to have a look.

"You guys saw that right?" JJ said as they all swam back up gasping for air.

"Yeah, i did."

"Fuck yeah."

Everyone laughed in shock as they swam back to the boat.

"That's a Grady white." JJ laughed as the group began swimming back "A new one of those is like 500 Gs, easy. That's a primo rig."

"Hey JB." Star squinted her eyes at the sun as she looked up at the brown haired boy "Isn't that the boat we saw when we surfed thr surge?"

"Yeah, it is. Maybe it hit a jetty or something" He shrugged.

"Wait, you guys surfed the surge?" Kie asked acting like an overprotective mom.

"Yea, that's my girl!" JJ putting an arm around Star and then John B "Pogue style!"

"Do we know whose boat it is?" Star asked not bothering to take the blonde boys arm off of her.

"Were about to find out." John b said as he opened the hatch where the anchor was kept.

"Dude." Star asked the boy as if he was crazy.

"Nah man, that's too deep." JJ protsted to the boy.

"For the weak and feeble JJ." John B replied.

"Okay, well i'm not resuscitating you. Just saying." JJ spoke honestly.

"Good, cause i won't need it." John B said now standing on the edge of the boat facing his back to the water.

"Diver down fool." Pope saluted.

"Diver down." John b saluted back only to be shoved into the water with no warning by JJ.

"God JJ!" Star scolded the boy as they waited for John b who came up in no time with a motel key.

"Guys we should report the wreck to the coast guard." Kie stated "Maybe we'll get a finders fee. She said as we drove the boat back.

"Yeah, and not work all summer." JJ agreed "Thanks Agatha, ya batch."

"Omg more weed!" Star beamed with excitement.

I know JJ calling Star Princess is cringy but i felt it kinda fitted their relationship but please do tell me if i should change the nickname.
