Ubukata is a quiet and rather emotionless teen. He tends to have bad posture, something he caught a bit from Reiko. In addition, he comes off as stand-offish at first glance. However, he really doesn't mind company. In fact, he genuinely likes when others come and talk to him, even if he doesn't say so or show it.

Ubukata also tends to come off as lazy as he is seen most of the time not taking notes as he should or even listening for that manner. But he is actually very smart. His tactical and strategy skills almost rival those of Hasumi's. However, he needs a few moments of concentration to think, He can't simply think of a strategy right there and then.
