Tim Drake and Vienna Morris, Gotham's sweethearts. Or at least that's how the papers and live television made them out to be. But, lately behind closed doors the truth finally revealed itself.

Vienna began with hurtful criticism towards Tim. that turned to Vienna lashing out at Tim more and more, even going as far as to become physically and verbally abusive. Little did Tim know, this was only the beginning of his struggles with domestic violence.

While Vienna's behavior seemed normal to the public, it was only when they were alone that her true behavior became evident. Tim had no idea that his relationship would become so toxic and he was completely unprepared for the physical and verbal abuse.

To Tim it came out of nowhere. It was like a dark cloud suddenly appearing on a beautiful sunny day, with no warning of its arrival. Tim was suddenly thrust into an environment of fear and intimidation, and he had no idea how to get out of it.

It just reminded him of his parents. Tim's parents, Jack and Janet Drake, had set unrealistic expectations for him that he was unable to meet, which led to feelings of worthlessness.

This was further exacerbated by his new environment, by his relationship with Vienna, where those expectations became even greater and the pressure to meet them was even more intense. With no one to turn to for help, he felt hopeless and stuck in a cycle of negativity.

Vienna's demands intensified the issue, as she often compared him to her successful and driven friends, claiming that he was not living up to his potential. Or just wasn't being a good boyfriend.

This led to Tim feeling inadequate and unworthy, which eventually caused him to spiral into a deep depression. Little did Tim know that Vienna and his parents were actually the ones responsible for his depression, not him.

Obviously his family, the Wayne's, weren't aware of his issues with Vienna. The media wasn't aware and continued to paint them as the perfect couple. Despite the fact that Tim hid all of the physical evidence underneath the local drug store foundation and concealer.

It was like putting a Band-Aid on a deep wound; it may have looked better on the surface but the damage underneath remained untreated.

Deep down Tim knew his parents were abusive towards him, seeing as he saw this happen almost daily in his nightlife. But he just couldn't accept that simple truth when it came to Vienna. Maybe she didn't love him? Sure Vienna loves the idea of Tim being all good and resourceful towards her but she didn't share the same feelings of love.

This is difficult for him to process which is why he never did, because it meant that he had been pouring his heart and soul into a relationship that was never going to be reciprocated. He had to accept that sometimes people don't feel the same way and it's not something he could change.

He tried everything he could think of to make her love him, from buying her chocolates to offering to buy her expensive jewelry, but still nothing. He finally gave up and accepted that sometimes, love is just not enough.

He eventually realized that love can't be forced and that it's something that has to come naturally. He also came to understand that even if he put in all the effort in the world, it wouldn't matter if the feelings weren't mutual.

It just wouldn't come from Vienna. However, Tim still stayed in the unhealthy relationship. Slowly losing himself in an unrequited love. Hoping that someone would eventually notice the signs of abuse and help him leave. But now isn't that time.

As someone once said, "Unrequited love is one of the greatest torments of the human heart." Tim would soon learn this well enough that he could recite it during his sleep.
