(Annabelladonna's outfit)
November 1976
Annabelladonna's first day of classes came far too quickly for her liking. While she liked learning about new areas of magic she was dreading having to possibly catch up on missed work. Schoolwork wasn't her least favorite thing but she certainly didn't like it. She would rather be laying down on a couch watching Disney movies with her friends or exploring the muggle parts of Paris. To be honest there were a million things she'd rather do, but she knew the consequences of not doing her work all to well so she did every piece of work assigned to her. Whether it be writing an essay or perfecting a spell she'd do her best to get it done as soon as possible so she wouldn't start to resent school. Her friends did not share that mentality, her friends in France were brilliant but absolutely hated wasting their time on "useless tasks" and her new friends in England were no better. James Potter and Sirius Black were quite good at subjects like potions, Astronomy, and transfigurations but they rarely put in effort making them come off as slackers. Remus Lupin had always been good at getting himself motivated to do well in school but he absolutely sucked at Herbology, and last but not least Peter. Peter Pettigrew desperately tried to get good grades but he struggled with understanding the work, he was exceptionally good at healing spells though and he wouldn't let anyone forget it. Annabelladonna has always been far too persuadable and often found herself with mountains of assignments that weren't even hers. Back at Beauxbatons Bella at least had Ares to help her if she had trouble understanding the work but at Hogwarts she was on her own. Ares was a year older than the girl so he already knew everything she was learning, she just wished he got transferred with her because he was absolutely terrible at replying to letters. As her time spent at Hogwarts grew longer she found herself longing for France more and more.

Early December 1976

After a month at her new school she had started dreading walking up. Days stretched on with seemingly no end in sight and while she had liked England she would leave in a heartbeat if she had the choice. Annabelladonna didn't fit in at Hogwarts and she wasn't even trying to. The marauders hung around her sometimes but she didn't really know any of them besides James. Sirius still treated her like the eleven year old she was when they were last together and he could never seem to leave her alone: Peter got insanely nervous around her, she found it cute at first but that quickly wore off. She still talked to Peter sometimes though it was hard to hold a conversation with him in his nervous state: and Remus was nice but he always found reasons to be far away from wherever she was. Whenever they found themselves in the same room together his eyes found her scar and he swiftly avoided any interactions. Others besides the marauders had approached Bell with hopes of friendship and though she welcomed their request with open arms she was lonely as ever. Whenever she was around Sirius she felt suffocated by his attempts at forcing a sibling like bond that they just didn't have yet. Annabelladonna craved having Apollo, Ares, and Asher in her life again: she needed to see them.

Hogsmede was somewhere Annabelladonna had never been. Even when she was asked to go she always politely declined and kept moving on with her life, at least she had done that until James Potter asked her to go to the Three Broomsticks with him and the boys that upcoming weekend. He said that he had a surprise for her. She had of course agreed, the girl was always one to appreciate a good surprise. No matter how many times the question of what she was going to wear was asked she never came up with a suitable answer. Should she dress in her preferred muggle attire or should she dress in a more wizard-like outfit. She finally decided to go with a more muggle style and chose a pair of overalls, and a long sleeved shirt .

As Saturday rolled around she grew excited, she was slightly nervous to find out what the surprise was and half expected that it would blow up in her face. She layed our the outfit she was going to wear on one of the unoccupied beds in her room as she danced around to the music playing in her head. At Beauxbatons some muggle technology still worked so she was able to listen to music with Ashers record player. She had loved most genres of music but Rock had held a special place in her heart, bands like The Beatles and Queen had always been her favorite. She often found that her mind was ensnared by their songs, she could listen to them all day long and find new things she liked about them every time. She often found herself humming them when she was alone and sometimes she'd even quietly sing along to the soundtrack of her heart, she never missed a beat. When she finished getting dressed she was still singing the lyrics to I Want to Hold Your Hand  by the Beatles under her breath. Facing herself in the mirror she looked over the outfit to make sure it looked okay, when she was content with what she saw she grabbed her small bag of money and headed out to where she was meeting the marauders. She couldn't wait to see what the surprise was.
