The chefs served dinner as everyone ate their meals before bed. It was pretty early, but you couldn't stay home when you had a job.

"Where are you going?" You heard Michael's voice speaking up from behind you in the closet.

"I'm going out." You replied.

"To where? It's pretty late, isn't it?" He asked.

"It's only 8:45. I won't be gone for so long." You replied.

You checked yourself in the mirror, looking at your chosen outfit—a black shirt with white sleeves, navy blue jeans, and white boots.

"I'm going out to hang out with a couple of friends. Is that okay?" You asked.

"Yeah, sure. Go ahead." He replied, looking away quite sad.

Michael didn't think you had plans tonight and just wanted to be with you. You felt bad for leaving him, but you kissed his cheek.

"I'll be back. Promise." You reassured.

He nods as you leave the house to head out and enjoy your night. He went to watch tv or read since he doesn't know when you'll be back.

~

"Finally! You here at last." It was a feminine bubbly girlish tone.

You smiled as the girl ran over to you with a broad smile, and her arms flared out. She embraced you, and you returned the hug. Toshiki appeared, adjusting his shades as he audibly sighed.

"Glad to reunite with this one right here." He sarcastically said.

The girl you hugged before letting go was Mila Wimbu, another friend who works as a spy agent. Her job was to hack into the systems and get inside using her tools to be helpful on the mission.

Mila Wimbu

"So, how long has it been since we've last seen each other?" Mila asked.

"Two months ago." Toshiki dryly replied.

"Not too long. It felt like a whole year!" Mila exaggeratedly flared her arms out, earning a slight glare from the masculine male.

"I thought you were visiting your family in South Korea?" You asked.

"I did visit them, and I brought back gifts!" She squealed.

"Goodie~" Toshiki murmured.

Mila glanced at him, saying, "You never show any sign of excitement, Toshiki. What do you ever do to be happy?" The young male glanced over at the raven-haired.

"Isolating myself." He responds in a dry tone.

"C'mon, let's get this mission over with. How do we get in the building?" You asked as Toshiki discussed the plan with the two of you.

Michael P.O.V.

It's already going on 11, and it's been a long night with no sight of Y/N. I peep through the curtains, wondering when she'll be coming home from her friends with whom she hangs out.

I trust her even though she's my girlfriend, but I'm worried she might get hurt. I shouldn't be worried, right?

Y/N can take care of herself. She is my bodyguard to work under me and my girlfriend.

"Come on, Y/N..." I begged.

I couldn't wait any longer than I should have. I pulled out my phone and called her to check up on her.

~

BANG!

You backflipped, landed on your feet, and charged at the man to draw in a swift kick in the gut, and another came to attack you from the side. You grab him by the arm and swing him to fall on top of another guard.

"Easy, peasy!" Mila chimed.

She pulled out two mini sharp curve slicers -like fans to toss them straight at the other guards to cut them, but they weren't dying. They just cried out in bloody screams for being attacked by her weapons as they flew back to her.

You grinned as you looked at Toshiki swiftly, kicking the other men out of the way. You would lend him a hand until your phone started to ring.

"Hello?" You answered the phone while fighting one of the men throwing punches in their faces, and did a back kick.

"Y/N, how is your night going?" Michael asked.

"It's...going great!" You ducked when one of the men held laser sticks, trying to aim at you. "I'm kind of busy." You hid behind the wall before it could hit you as you did a summersault.

"That's good. I was calling to check up on you and wonder when you were coming back." You were only focusing on the guy on your right, but you didn't see another one coming up from behind me.

Luckily, Mila was right on top of the guy's feet and used one of the souvenirs to aim at him. He looked over at her, and she gave him a hard kick making him fall onto other supplies that shattered a glass shelf case.

"What was that?" He asked, pulling his phone away from his ear.

"Uh...the bartender dropped the glass." You replied.

"Bartender? Last time I check, you don't drink, Y/N." He said.

"I...uh...I don't, but my friends do." You replied.

"M'kay..." He sighed.

"Mikey, shouldn't you go to bed? It's late, and I will be home." You reassured.

You walked around to find Toshiki waving his arm to gesture to you and Mila to follow him.

"I will. Just come home safe, okay?" He said in a hoarse tone.

"I will. Night Mikey. Love you." You hung up as you caught up with Toshiki and Mila.

Mila grins over at you while hacking into the building, typing in the code system.

"Seems like lover star boy is head over heels to worry about his princess~" She teased.

Toshiki folded his arms across his chest, saying, "He's quite a distraction to put in with our mission." He scowled.

"Toshi, he's only worried about me. You'd be worried about me too." You said, resting a hand on your hip, smirking at him.

"Hm. Still, he shouldn't know about your job unless you tell him immediately." He said, as your smile went away and you looked down.

"I mean, I worked as a security guard and spy agent. It's not so hard." You reassured.

"Two jobs and hiding that you're dealing with a pretty serious job. I'd say that it's not so easy if I had a boyfriend to hide my true identity. He'll flip!" Mila exclaimed.

"Just get the door open," Toshiki demanded.

Mila rolled her eyes as she looked over at your face. "Ooh, Y/N. You have a bruise on your face." She said.

You touched your face and hissed a little. That jerk gave you a hard punch in the front, which hurt.

'Great. Michael is going to be suspicious about it.' You thought.

Mila finally hacks into the building as the door opens in Area A3 for the three to enter to grab the items and bailout.

~

It was 2 in the morning; you entered the house looking around as it was pitch black, but a little moonlight shone through the windows. Sigh of relief, you head upstairs to go upstairs, and when you enter the room and go to change and head to bed.

~

By the next day, you were up and went to the bathroom, only to see Michael patching some stuff on his body. You knew he was insecure about his body and placing some ointment onto his skin because of his Vitiligo he couldn't handle for years. He heard you enter the bathroom as he put the top on the cream and ran his fingers through his slick straight hair.

"Good morning," He greeted, watching you walk to the sink. "I see you've fought quite a fight when you weren't around here but at the bar." He commented.

You only tried to cover up your cheek to grab a towel, but Michael stopped you.

"What happened last night?" He asked.

"Nothing. Just a normal night of two guys hustling." You replied, only to lie to him, feeling intentionally awkward.

"Did one of them strike you? Who's responsible for this?" He asked, looking at you with an intense gaze.

You shrugged your shoulders, responding, "I don't remember." You knew lying to him like this would put you in your place. Michael can tell you are not being honest with him, especially getting into fights.

He sighed. "At least, do you remember the certain events that took place and how they started?" You only shook your head. Michael didn't have it. "Y/N, please be honest with me. You have a bruise on your cheek, and I ain't stupid if you could tell me who did it."

"It was an accident. I defended myself in the fight." You replied, as his eyes slightly bulged.

"So, you did get into a fight. I'm concerned." He said.

"Look, I need to prepare for this morning, and you have things to do today. Right?" You said, going over by the sink to grab your supplies to fix yourself up for the day.

Michael didn't say anything as far as he could tell that you didn't want to talk about what happened last night. He just left out of the room to give you privacy. You stayed in the bathroom for quite a while to wash your face, apply makeup to cover up the bruise mark, and fix your hair for the day.

Leaving out of the bathroom, the kids were awake, and they greeted you heartwarmingly. Soon, you saw Michael enter the room with a box in his arms.

"You've got a package." He said as he handed over the box to you.

"Oh, it must be the supplies that I ordered. Thank you." You replied.

Prince looked over at his parental figure, asking him, "Daddy? Are we going out today?" Michael sent him a nod.

"Yes, we can go out after you two eat breakfast." He replied.

"Are you going too?" Paris asked. She looked at you with a pleadable gaze.

"Yes, but I have to work today as your bodyguard." You poke her nose as she holds it while giggling.

Michael faintly smiled that his kids were glad you were there to protect them. He sometimes wished they had a mother around, and looking up to you was like a mother figure in their eyes.

"Okay, you two, eat up, and we'll get ready to leave." Said Michael as he sat at the table to eat, and you went outside to make sure everything was ready for him and the kids to leave.
