Kasai

Zzzzzap.

A jolt, a ripple of energy is sent through me, and Lilith, who's arm is around me, using me as a crutch, complete relaxes, collapsing onto me. My grip on her waist tightens to make sure that she doesn't fall on the floor. I slowly lower her to the ground. Perhaps she pushed herself too hard... or perhaps I pushed her too hard. I should have just ignored her, and carried her. She insisted on walking on her own two feet to as not waste my energy and strenght. I should have just picked her up and carried her out with me.

I sit down next to her, brushing her hair out of her face. Then suddenly her eyes open, glowing a vibrant blue, and immediately I know something is wrong. Instinctively I move my hand away, but she grabs my hand. "Going some where?" She purrs.

"Mother." I growl.

"Hello darling. How have you been? I must say, I've missed you dearly. Now if you could just give me a hand. Oh wait, I already have it. Now would be ever so kind to help me up?." She grins up at me, Lilith's colourless eyes now tinted with the blue hue look up at me.

"I'm not helping you with anything!" I say angrily, pulling my hand away. Mother pushes Lilith's body up into a sitting position, and stretches her arms over her head, stretching out leisurely and gracefully like a cat.

"That's fine darling, I'm quite capable to do things on my own. After all I have been alone for quite some time. Oh it feels so good to be back in Lilith's body. She is truly the one I feel most comfortable controlling. It was a mistake to try and control everybody at the same time. An unexpected mistake. I guess I overestimated my abilities."

I look at Mother suspiciously. "What are you saying? That you haven't been using Lilith's body? Whose have you been using?"

Mother stands up, and flashes me a rather unsettling grin, "I've been working on creating something to make sure your friends who have come for a visit are going to regret every second they have had here."

"What did you do?" I growl, fear causing my voice to be a little bit shaky. My friends and family is no doubt out there, fighting to get me and Yuri back. I know Mother's potential for harm from what Akihiko told me, and I don't want anything bad to happen to my family or friends. Especially to Niichan or Victor. They both deserve happiness, and they need to live their happily ever after. But importantly they need to get married before they die. I don't really care what happens after that, but I just need to see them to marriage.

Mother winks at me, "Nothing... I was just controlling everyone I have ever implanted all at the same time to create an indestructible army. Because if I'm in there heads, they will keep fighting no matter what happens. As long as their brains are still functioning, then I can still control them, and make them do my bidding. It sort of like a zombie army, but the people you are fighting aren't dead, and don't have control over themselves"

I gasp, "You wouldn't make someone fight to their death against their will!"

"Really!? You expect so little of me little one. After all, I do seem to be the villain in your life. Let me tell you darling, the girl you know isn't in here. I will not be like her all kind, and soapy, and weak. I am strong. Do not mistake me for her. Because if you do that may just be your end." She leans in close, bringing her nose right up against mine.

"You're right. Lilith is nothing like you. Because of what I heard, she is a delightful human being that would never hurt a hair an an innocent person. And for the short time I have known her, she seems like a beautiful strong person that I would love to be my friend."

Instantly, her demeanor softens at the word love, and I see the blue light fade a little bit, but it simply flickers. And the harsh blue light is back, just as strong as before.

"Who says I was talking about Lilith, Li-" Mother says in a confident manner before getting cut off as her body once again slackens. She hunches over, and takes ragged breaths.

"Ka- gasp- sai... get... away gasp." She looks up, and the blue light is gone. Lilith.

"But-"

"GO!" She roars collapsing onto the floor. She looks as if she is having a vicious inner battle, and who knows who will win... Mother or Lilith.

I step back slowly, shaking. I want to help my new friend, but I don't know how. I look around looking for something or someone who might be able to help. Then, someone rounds the corner. And to my relief it's Niichan.

"Niichan!" I cry, tears coming down as I rush towards my Niichan. He opens his arms, and I barrel into them. I would have knocked him to the ground if Victor wasn't standing behind him to brace us both, circling his arms around both of us. I sob in their arms, as Niichan whispers reassuring, positive words to me, and Victor pats me in an effort to comfort me.

As I disentangle myself from their arms, I notice that Akihiko is standing there, and someone appears to be hiding behind him... Minami.

"Minami..." I breath, he raises his eyes to meet mine, and then they dart back to the ground.

Akihiko growls, "Just suck it up and be a man!" and pushes Minami forward towards me.

"Um..." I begin awkwardly, but then subside.

"So..." he begins, "You know everything right." All that I can do is nod my head, bitting on my lower lip.

Minami dives for the floor, prostrating himself. "I AM SO SORRY FOR WHAT I HAVE DONE. I SHOULD NOT BE FORGIVEN. I KNOW THAT I AM TRASH, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT YOU IN MORE DANGER AND BECOME INVOLVED WITH MY LIFE. I APOLOGIZE TEN FOLD FOR EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE DONE TO YOU, AND-" I laugh, and I guess my laughter threw him off guard. "Wait... why are you laughing. Aren't you supposed to be mad, threatening me with eternal torture, and slow and painful death? Are you feeling ok? Oh no, don't tell me that you have gone past the point of insanity!"

"No, it's just that I wan't expecting that-." I wipe my eyes from the tears in my eyes from the laughter.

With all this commotion, and whirl wind of feelings, I had momentarily forgotten about Lilith, and how she told me to run, but as she lets out a high scream of pain, all our attention is brought back to her. Then the sound of a high pitch whirring is being emitted from her. The sound of a over loaded computer.

"Sh*t." Akihiko and Minai say at the same time. "Mother is crashing."

"What!? What's wrong?" I say panicking a little bit. She looks like she's in pain. No duh, she's rolling on the floor in agony.

Akihiko and Lilith's gazes, meet, and she mouths something, something I can't understand. Akihiko stiffens, and grabs Minami and Yuri's hand, and starts dragging them along quickly back the way they came.

"Wait what? Are we leaving?" Victor grabs my wrist, and pulls me along to follow them.

"What about Lilith?!" I ask, the building starts shaking, the sounds of gunshots near. Who exactly is here? JJ and Chris and Isabelle? Did everyone come!?

"There is no time!" Akihiko shouts over his shoulder trying to be heard in the explosions? What exactly is going on here?, "Lilith has the largest storage of Mother's files in her because Mother used her so often and clearly Mother is overworking herself... so she had to pass off some of that stress to Lilith so Mother can attempt to manage everything."

"No! I'm not leaving Lilith behind!" I insist. Standing still. Victor continues to pull me along with difficulty. "Let go of me Victor! I need to go back and help her. You saw the state she's in. We can't leave her there by herself! She could get hurt!" It feels as if the whole building shudders. The temperature is rising... It's as if we are inside an over loaded computer.

Victor stops, and whirls around to face me, "Listen to me KASAI!" he screams. I flinch, "I came in here to rescue Yuri, and you. Frankly, I couldn't care less about what happened to other people as long as the two of you are safe. I don't care what happens, as long as you are home, and safe. I know that that girl is your friend, but you never know, she could be your enemy. In fact she could turn into your enemy at any second. She is unstable, and you don't know when she can turn from whoever she is to Mother or whatever they call her. Now, we are going to get out of here before the building collapses, and anything else bad happens." his hands grip my shoulders.

I look back at him defiantly, "I have a couple of words to say to you Victor," I draw in a deep breath, "No. I'm not leaving some one I care about behind, just to save my own skin. You and Niichan have taught me better than that. You help the people you care about, and that is how you show your love." I rip myself out of Victor's grip, and run back down the hall towards Lilith.

"Kasai! Kasai! KASAI GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!" Victor yells chasing after me, but I create a wall of fire. Victor easily passes through it creating an ice shield. Damn I forgot about his powers for a second. But just as I round a corner, a sudden burst of energy propels me forward, and I feel the floor tremble. The whole building shakes, and I trip, being flung forward onto my stomach from the force

CRASH

The wall caves in, cluttering the path between me, and Victor. I stop for a second to review the damage Victor's cries for me to stop ring through the hall even though the caved in wall mutes him a little. I turn my back to him and take off down the hall to Lilith.

Hello lovely human beans~
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in so long. I was feeling overwhelmed because I'm now in university (in another country) but now I'm feeling a lot better!
I can't promise you what the upload schedule will look like... the only thing I can promise you is that I will continue use to write when I have free time, and will publish when I think the chapters are good enough to publish...
I'm sorry for any of the inconvenience, but I honestly don't think that there is anyone still reading this at this point, so I guess I should just apologize to myself for procrastination on writing because I know that sometimes you just get in those moods where you just get really sad and don't want to do anything (especially the things you love), but you will eventually find your way out, and as hard as it is to admit sometimes, I love you!

Hello lovely human beans~

I hope that this was an interesting chapter... I'm starting to plan out how this book will end... but I'm still unsure...

Oh, how do you guys like the paring of Minami and Akihiko, and Kasai, and Lilith?

And I have some sad news. For my birthday my friends got me YOI merch, but yesterday, I dropped a YOI water bottle I got and it broke! ┻━┻ ︵ヽ('Д')ﾉ︵ ┻━┻ ಥ_ಥ
