Once she is out of the room, Akihiko visibly relaxes. He slumps down into his chair, and places his elbows on his knees, and runs his hand through his hair.

I'm still sitting on the couch, hands in my lap as I run through things in my head...

Niichan is here... and why is he here? I don't know why... maybe it has something to do with me! Oh no! What if I put Niichan in danger because these people wanted me... and having Niichan as a hostage... well, that would make me do almost anything they ask... but why do they want me? I mean I'm just a somewhat teenager that can be used as a lethal weapon... but then again that Lilith or Mother or whoever she is mentioned something about she was disappointed with people who have gray hair... now who do I know has grey hair?... well obviously there is Akihiko, and then there is Victor, Yakov, and me... but she wouldn't know Yakov or Victor, right? After all, she looked the same age as me, and I've never seen here there before, so that rules out Victor and Yakov... so what could Akihiko have possibly done to disappoint such a powerful and striking young lady?... and what did she do to him to make him so... as afraid.

Clearly, it looks like I'm lost and confused by my own thoughts because Akihiko clears his throat, and it takes a while for me to find my way out of my inner thoughts, and look up at him.

I look up at him, and he isn't looking at me. Rather he is looking down, wringing his hands together.

"I bet you have a lot of questions, and lots of thoughts running through you're head." He says, looking up at me.

"That's a major understatement." I murmur under my breath, "I'm not at alllll confused. It's not like this gorgeous lady walked in, threatened Niichan, referred to herself as 2 people, clearly terrified you, then walked out as if nothing happened." I add on sarcastically. " I've defiantly experienced weirder things."

"Really?!" He says slightly relieved.

"No! Can you even pick up on sarcasm?" I snap back.

He groans, "I knew it was... I was just hoping for the best. Remind me to not have an optimistic attitude around you ever again."

I smile wryly. "Ya because I'm sure I will be graced by your presence for a lot more time than I am willing to endure."

He laughs... a sad chuckle, "Well, that's what it looks like... unfortunately."

"Am I detecting that the great Akihiko is feeling down!" I exclaim.

"No." He says immediately defensively. He pauses, "well... maybe..."

I pause, "What's wrong?"

He laughs a humorless laugh, "Everything." He says.

"Same," I mutter under my breath.

"And you don't even know all of it." He sighs.

"Then tell me all of it," I say simply.

"But I don't even know where to start..." he trails off.

"Well then start at the-"

"I swear if you say 'Well then start at the beginning because that's the best place to start' or some sh*t I'll just see myself out."

"Hey, I was just going to say, start where it feels natural to start. Cause there are so many things that I want to know about. Like who was that girl? Why does she refer to herself as two people? Is she Mother or is she Lilith? Who is Mother? Why are you so afraid of Mother or Lilith or whoever she is? And please see your self out. I mean, why not go crying to mommy or something?"

"Wow... that was unnecessary...and a lot of questions..." he says looking directly at me.

I smirk, "Well I'm sorry, but I'm feeling extremely stressed and confused, and it seems that I am projecting my emotions on to you. Actually, I have a lot more, questions... would you like to hear them? Well here goes," I say not even waiting for a reply. "Where is my Niichan? why do you-"

He cuts me off, " Woah woah wait. What do I look like? A person with 10 heads? I can't answer all your questions at once... let's go one by one."

I puff out my breath, letting out a little harumph. "Fine then, but you better answer all my questions or else Lilith or Mother will be mad at you."

He shudders, "Don't remind me."

We sit awkwardly in the pause.

"Well, are we going to start?" I ask a little bit impatiently.

"Yes, yes, just give me a minute to sort through all the cr*p that I have floating around in my head so I know how to best explain things to you."

"Ok," I say as I scoot closer to him, on the sofa. I sit and wait for him to organize his thoughts. My leg bouncing impatiently, waiting for him.

"I guess I'll start with explaining to you who Mother is." He says breaking the silence.

I nod my head, encouraging him to start.

"You see Mother is a computer which is-"

"Wait you call a computer Mother! Like what did she give birth to you or something?"

He shoots a glare at me, " Well if you didn't interrupt me, then it would be more clear."

I close my mouth and let him continue.

"Where was I?..." he says searching for what he last said.

"Well you weren't very far, all you said was that Mother is a computer."

He shoots me an icy look, which is funny because he produces flames. Who knew he could be this cold.

"Ok, yes. Mother is a computer which is hooked up to the brain of Lilia Baranovskaya who is-"

Lilia Baranovskaya...Lilia... why does she sound familiar... that name... I feel like I heard that name long ago...

"How does that work?" I blurt out, confused.

"Can you stop interrupting? I'm going to get there." He says exasperatingly.

"Sure," I said motioning for him to continue.

"Lilia basically put herself into a state of low activity so that she could spend all of her energy towards her brain so that she could maximize her brain's efficiency. She then connected most of her brain's electrical signal pulses up to a computer rather than her own body, so she can in a sense upload her consciousness onto the computer, and the world of the internet. Now that she has basically control of the world of the web, she has endless opportunities to do whatever she wants. Her consciousness and thoughts will be saved forever, and she can basically live forever on the internet. As long as her body will still operate and produce stimuli for her brain to stay active that is. To do this she must keep her body intact and to do this she-"

"How does she eat if she is in a state of low activity. Doesn't that mean that it's like she is basically always asleep?"

Akihiko grits his teeth, "I was about to get there if you HADEN'T INTERRUPTED ME!" He yells.

"Sorry sorry sorry," I raise my hands.

He lets out a huff and returns to his explaining story. "Ok, so she is tube fed enough simple food that it does not require her body to use a lot of energy to absorb the needed nutrients and glucose to function. She makes sure that we give her the right amount of liquids every day. She preserves her body, and makes sure that most of her energy is spent on her brain so she can stay connected online."

"Okay, so you basically have this woman whose brain is hooked up to a computer, and is extremely smart because she focuses all her energy on her brain... like is she unconscious?... and because she is hooked up to a computer her consciousness is detached from her body and is stored on the internet through electrical coding? Like she still has a body, it's just that she has managed to separate the mind and the matter. That sort of kinda makes sense in a weird way... but then why did Lilith refer to herself as Mother. I mean she isn't a sleeping body, nor does she look like a computer with a conscious uploaded onto it." I say trying to figure things out aloud.  

"Well, I'm just going to give up on having no interruptions when I'm trying to explain myself. Yes, Mother is Lilia conscious separated and uploaded onto the world on the interweb ... I told you that she is in a state of low activity. She actually put herself into an unconscious state because a brain is actually more effective, and comes up with more solutions when the person is unconscious... It's kind of like dreams. A person's brain is much more imaginative when the person is asleep or unconscious, and their brain actually works harder when that person is asleep rather than awake... she decided to maximize her efficiency, and becoming Mother would be the easiest way. She is actually one of the head scientists here at Hell's Fire, and in order to preserve herself, her genius mind, and continue her innovative thinking, she uploaded herself to the interweb... so that she could forever watch over us all."

"Wow... what a hardcore lady."

He heaves a sigh, "Sadly she is. And that isn't even all of it."

"What!"

"Yep, I know hard to believe, but it gets even weirder...Mother had people get implanted with a chip into their head that way she can download her data into their head and that way she can embody them... she uses electrical pulses to control the body like how the brain sends electrical pulses to the body. She takes electrical pulses and waves from her brain, uploads them to the web, then redownloads and reprograms herself into a chip in a person's head...That girl Lilith, she is Mother's favorite person to embody. And that is why she referred to herself as two people. The body belongs to Lilith, but Mother is controlling her... Mother forced some people to have the chip implanted on some people...and one of them..." he takes a deep breath in. "And one of them is Minami."

I blink..."Minami?"

Hello lovely human beans~

Annnnddd that was chapter 22! I know that it was weird, but I hope it made sense. People thought the whole Victor being able to cool his skin down, and freeze the water vapor in the air into solid ice was weird? Nah, here is some even weirder things tho think about. ｡◕‿‿◕｡

The next chapter will pick up from where this one left off... Just a reminder that Kasai know nothing about Minami being a traitor... also next chapter there are flash backs... Idk if I did them good enough... but they were fun to write!
